Howdy everyone! Our next White List test has been decided, and next up for discussion: RWBY!
Mainly due to RWBY's appearance and incredibly necessary presence in the game, Blazblue Cross-Tag Battle. In the story of Blazblue Crosstag Battle, A Relic of the Alucard House causes Many Universes, Including RWBY and the world of Remnant to collide into the world of BlazBlue, when in the ending's, they are shown that those crossed over universes still remember there participation. This means that, Much like how Kingdom Hearts characters couldnt talk about or mention Disney characters, BlazBlue, Persona 4, Under night in-birth, Senran Kagura, Akatsuki Blitzkampf and Arcana Heart cant talk about that time they met RWBY's cast!
So, Arguments For or Against RWBY? Let us know below, So the staff can make a Well known decision!

Holy fragaroli, I haven't seen the series yet but I can at the very least say that if the characters do get in, some of the people who have seen the series since the first season on would be able to understand how they work and would have a much better grasp on movesets.
My characters: Firebrand, Ganondorf Dragmire, Gargos, Jedah Dohma, Mewtwo, Oda Nobunaga, Ragna the Bloodedge, Shantae, Zero

Note: This is not really a Defense For or Against RWBY Being on Li, but more a general plot summary so those who are unaware of what a RWBY Even is can have a bit more of an informed opinion over a series they may not have interest in watching.
RWBY is a Animated Web-show by Rooster Teeth (creator's of Red VS Blue among many other things), Following a completely original story with no connection to other franchises, (Fairly unique for Rooster Teeth), Which follows the Fantasy World of Remnant, A World that uses a mystical material, known as Dust, in a fight against the monsters that plague the world, known as Grimm.
Those who fight back the Grimm, Hunters and Huntresses, Attend specialized Academies in order to practice use of Aura and Semblances, Magic in the world of RWBY in which Aura can be used to defend ones self from damage, And Semblances are used as projections of ones Aura to perform Supernatural feats, along with Transforming weapons which can take multiple forms, with multiple methods of Attacking, in order to best combat the Threat of the Grimm.
The Series is particularly known for having Flashy, Devil-May-Combo Style Combat, Utilizing many crazy acrobatics and Combinations of Semblances and Gunfire to perform Incredible moves, as such:
But, RWBY isnt just about Ludicrous Combat and Weapons that also happen to be Guns.
RWBY is, In it of itself, A Series with a message about the capabilities and potential of Humankind, Faced in an Uncaring and unjust world, and for how even one person can create a great change. Its about Friendship, Improvement of Ones self, and...Well, The Phrase i feel best fits it; 'Victory is in a Simple Soul.'
The series is available free on Youtube, and i Highly recommend you watch it to see what a Passion Project can blossom into. However, if your looking to get just an idea on what RWBY is like, I'd Suggest watching the Red/White/Black/Yellow Trailer's, As i feel they still give a good air as to what the show is 'About'.
Banned. Banned forever. Blazblue banned for association.
--Naw. What do you mean by guns though? None of these weapons look like guns. Except for that one guy with the pistol numchucks.
All the weapons, except a chosen few like Jaune's Sword and Shield, can transform into some kind of ranged weapon. Ruby's Scythe becomes a sniper rifle, Yang's gauntlets are shotguns, etc. It's a running meme in the community that everything is a gun

In the gifs you can see the "gun" being used for recoil to boost Ruby forward as well as the sparks emitted by Yang. It's worth adding that while they are assocatiated as "Gun Weapons" they also are more just kind of element use for fire power. It's more like Leon's gunblade in Kingdom Hearts where it's used more as a kind of "magic medium" for a kind of element known as Dust. The Dust is generally used to provide elemental aide to a lot of things in the Ruby-verse but especially weapons. They all carry some containers for dust in the weapon somewhere to supply the ranged or other needs that they would need.

Glad you asked! Weapons in RWBY, as i mentioned, Usually are a Meld of Two different weapons, and can split between the Two, or even have a third form to use the best parts of two. So, Some Weapons happen to also be a Gun! For Example:
Ruby's Crescent Rose is a Scythe, that can Transform into a Sniper Rifle, and can fire off Sniper Rifle Rounds while in its bladed form, of specialized Grimm-Killing Bullets in its Gun-form. Gun-Weaponry in RWBY Are more used to Fire Bullets Mid-swing, to add additional Damage to a target, Over Simply shooting people from a distance like most guns.
A Bit hard to tell, but if you look closely, Ruby here *is* shooting off Muzzle Flashes while cutting this Grimm into Pieces.
Such as that. ALOT Of Weapons in RWBY feature Gun's as part of there 'Transforming Weapon' move set.
"Weapons that also happen to be guns" Is more of a Meme about RWBY than a given fact. For instance:
Weiss Schnee's Rapier (Myrtenaster) Uses Dust to Channel Magic-based attacks at rapid succession.
Penny Polendina's Floating Array is just Multiple Floating Swords.
This Dude's Sword Turns into a Scythe-- Etc. Etc.
So, Thats the general idea of Weapons that are also Guns, in RWBY.

Now- Here's an actual argument as to Why RWBY Should be White listed, in some Critera:
Does it have valid reason to be on the site: Yes, The events of Blazblue Cross Tag Battle, Minus one ending which has been reconnected with 2.o being released, Are considered Canon, Meaning the characters of RWBY and Blazblue, Senran Kagura, Akatzuki Blitzkampf, Arcana Heart, Under Night In Birth and Persona 4 (Especially, since we actually have a few Persona Characters on site!) Have Met the RWBY Cast, Similar to how sora has met Disney characters. Will RWBY Unbalance the site in any way? Power Balance, Weapon skill, Etc.: Not Particularly. Generally Speaking, Most of the stuff that goes on in a RWBY Battle (especially in Volumes 5-7, Bearing the Animation Style Change, as the earlier volumes were alot more flashy), Is pretty comparable to, say, Bayonetta, Blazblue, Final Fantasy and Devil May Cry. High-flying Rapid-slashing Combat incorporating Magic, Weaponry and Recoil-acrobatics are the name of RWBY's game, And we feature plenty on site already. As well, RWBY's Technology is futuristic, But it doesnt go much further than what a series like F-zero would provide. Infact, RWBY's probably lesser so than that, as Technology VS Natural World is a theme of RWBY. Will RWBY Not Fit in on the general mood of Li?: The Biggest threat in this category is undoubtedly the technology of RWBY, What with Morphing Weaponry and Giant Mech's and the like, Games like Metroid, Star Fox and Xenoblade feature the same type's of technology on much larger scales, being able to fit in with no major issues. As well, The Anime Combat and Style is on Par with Bayonetta, DMC and Even Xenoblade in a sense, as most Combat against huge Grimm are 4 Against 1 giant monster.
What does RWBY Have to Offer Li?: RWBY Features many fun and pretty endearing character's in its Roster, That almost anyone can tell you are well liked in its fanbase. I fell off of RWBY Around Volume 4, But i still love the RWBY Team, Nora's Psychotic Boopin', Ren's Calm Collected Attitude, The Charm of Neo, Smug Shit-eatin' Grin of Roman Torchwick. Really, All of the characters in RWBY are pretty well made. As well, A Multitude of Monster's in the form of the Grimm that can provide some unique missions for the Future.
Does Remnant have Interesting Locale's for Li?:
Has RWBY Had Games that can be used to translate power onto Li?:
Blazblue Crosstag Battle, RWBY Amity Arena and RWBY Grimm Eclipse. a Fighting Game, a Unit Summon game, and a Team Arena Defense Game. Grimm Eclipse even features RPG Elements and special moves are named specifically in BBCTAG and Grimm Eclipse.
In Conclusion: I think RWBY should be White Listed, to add a Fun and Endearing series onto Li, that provides unique Characters and Lore onto Li, as well as connect the Dots in BBCTAG.
