Backstory:
"Miah's origin"
Miah was not always the magically gifted woman that she was today. In fact her home was not originally in Eorzea. She was born in Doma, on the Azim Steppe as a member of the Dotharl Tribe. The udgan of her tribe glancing into her eyes... only to find not a hint of any of their past warriors within the infant Xaela. As such, Miah was treated as an outsider. The young woman having been made to believe that she was naught but a weakling who's body was not meant to handle the powers of her ancestors. Years of this treatment, led to her eventually leaving her home to prove herself. To develop the skills needed to prove that she was a worthy warrior of the tribe.
It was on this mission, deep inside of Garlean held Doman territory, that she discovered one her dearest friends, Inios. Who was currently fleeing the land for Eorzea. Together, the two of them managed to stow away aboard an Imperial ship and sneak their way into the city of Uldah. Unaware of the coming Calamity that would shape the face of the continent as they knew it...
Making a Name for Herself
Miah started her life as an Adventurer by joining Uldah's Thaumaturgy guild. Developing her skills in magic and learning the many methods one could use to destroy their enemies with Arcane Power. Of course this was helped by her learning that she had a rather impeccable ability to see and sense even minor shifts in how Aether flowed around her. Allowing her to easily mimic and understand how one manipulated both their own as well as that which flowed around them to form spells. Miah easily starting to make a name for herself in the guild.
But... despite this she was not satisfied. The Au Ra taking her leave of the guild to study in both the Arcanist and the Conjurer's guild. Building up a reputation as a master magician, one who was able to put into practice almost any form of magic that was thrown at her.
Until one day during a trip to Uldah, she encountered a Miqo'te man by the name of X'rhun Tia. He was in the midst of a scuffle with what looked to be a group of Black Mages. Miah preparing to rush in to assist him... only to watch as he dispatched them with a series of strange spells and a flurry of sword slashes. The Xaela was curious. She'd never witnessed a style of magic like his own before. It somehow mixed the polar opposite techniques of White and Black Magic and melded them into something new... something powerful. She decided then and there to become this man's pupil, to learn what she could of Red Magic.
From that moment forward, Miah had become a Red Mage with X'rhun's tutelage. Together they would bring down a cabal of thaumaturge assassins, and Miah's mastery of magic and Aether Manipulation would grow. As would her fame as one of the adventurers who traveled alongside and fought with the Warrior of Light, Inios.
The Pursuit of Knowledge.
It was the aftermath of a political scuffle in Uldah that drew Miah and her compatriots to the city of Ishguard in order to seek refuge. While her dear friend handled the duty of assisting the city and bringing it out of it's strife-filled war with the Draconians, Miah set about researching the lore and myths of both sides. Searching through whatever tomes she could get her hands on for what little hints of arcane knowledge she could scrounge up. Her experiences learning to be a true Red Mage, having awoken a hunger for lost knowledge within her. Dozens of sleepness nights would pass in the blink of an eye as she absorbed all of the knowledge that she could. Looking for a hint of whatever lost arts may exist... before finally she found it.
On the body of one of Draconia's "Heretics" was a worn journal. One that detailed a peculiar being. A Dragon that held an intense hunger for knowledge and information. Devouring and retaining any information provided too it. It was reading this book, that Miah felt a slight tingling in the back of her mind. This sounded... familiar, somehow... but why?
And in that moment... it clicked for her. The reason why her Udgan could not find a hint of any of their former warriors in her eyes. The reason why magic and knowledge held her in it's thrall. Why she had inherited the Echo... This was her, this was her previous life. Not as a Warrior of the Steppe, but as a Dragon of Gluttony and Knowledge. This was her legacy...
And she would do anything to reclaim it
Almost immediately, Miah pivoted her research. The Primals she'd grown to despise... they held the key. But not the ones that had been summoned by those brutish Beastmen in an act of desperation... No her answer laid in but a single Primal, Shiva and the woman who'd summoned her using her own body as a vessel, Ysayle.
Her ability to channel Shiva's essence and store it within her own body, only to summon it at will. That same method, was how she would eventually regain her true body. She only needed to crack the method, and then improve it until it was perfectly sustainable. She could do it. She saw with her own eyes how each of those so called "gods" were built. How fragile their forms actually were. She had the tools to succeed where they all failed...
And she would let nothing stop her from achieving that goal
First Success
Eventually, Miah would retire from full time adventuring. Her focus entirely spent on her new goal. But she was met with a roadblock. No matter what she did. She could not figure out how to fulfill the second of her two requirements to perform the Summoning of her true self. The Aether would be no issue. Miah could easily require the small sum of Crystals she'd need to initiate the process with her connections. The issue... was Faith.
For some reason, Primals required the thoughts of Mortals to take a proper shape. This believe was incredibly powerful, but it also acted as a double edged sword, as the fervent desires twisted the personality of the summoned god into something far more destructive and dangerous. Even Shiva had fallen partially into this trap, her form born of the deluded belief of coexistence between Man and Dragon, formed from a legend that had been passed down and warped through the ages.
Miah did not have even this. Her true form had no recorded name, just as she had no name when she was born. The frustration mounted. There had to be some way to make this work, there had to be...
Just as her anger neared it's climax, she would receive a call from Inios. She was needed in Doma. A primal had appeared, one that had spawned not from simple fervor, but one that had appeared from the desires placed on a trio of objects. It was facing down this monstrous Primal that Miah made a break through. This being had appeared... not because of the Beastmen, but because of the power held within those artifacts, because of the lingering desire attached too them...
Miah at that moment had decided to follow her dear friend deeper into Doman territory, where they would eventually return to her old home on the Steppe. It was here, during a fierce battle between the tribes of the Steppe that Miah put her theory into action.
Grasping the journal that had started her crusade for the truth, Miah focused on that sensation she felt. And a memory returned to her. A grand library, one far too large for a mortal such as herself. And yet she towered among the bookshelves... It was memory of her past life, one that gave her strength, one that allowed her... for a few moments. To break her mortal limits.
Using her own Life Force, Miah powered a sacred technique of the Red Mages, Vermillion Scourge. A spell which normally required using the run-off Aether of a full party of 8 Adventurers to cast. For a brief moment. Miah felt her own strength flourish. A glimpse of what she had been previously capable of filled her mind.
She'd made her first success. All that was left, was to push further and discover more of herself.

Appearance:
History On Li: It was a quiet night in Ishguard. Miah was studying in the room she'd bought for herself in the inn. Flipping through various notes that she'd obtained both from her own observations and from what she'd learned from her dear friend Inios's many adventures to save the planet. She felt like she was at the edge of a another breakthrough of her research but she just couldn't push through it somehow. But before she could get fully frustrated, a flash of light would fill the air... causing the Au Ra to vanish without a trace.
Miah came too in the middle of the Life Sphere, her books settled on the ground around her as she picked herself up. Unaware of her surroundings, the adventurer began exploring the town she found herself before, and began learning all that she could. The first thing she learned of was the Starvia, a horrid disease which brought one's mind to deepest depths of madness, something she currently believes to be rather similar to the tempering methods of the Primals. And that similarity sparked a great interest in the woman's mind, an interest which drew her back into adventuring on this strange planet.
Mechanics
Channel: Spells with this key word require Miah to spend two actions to perform as she needs to channel Aether into her catalyst.
Dual Cast: Spells with the [Dual Cast] tag grant Miah a stack of Dual Cast. While she has this stack, any spell that has the Channel tag can be performed as a single action. Regardless of if she she performs a Channel attack or not, Miah loses this stack on the next attack that has the Dual Cast Tag she performs and must regain it by performing another spell with the Dual Cast tag. Miah will also lose her stack of Dual Cast if she goes two turns without expending it.
Black and White Mana: Miah has a pool of reserve Mana that builds up over time from casting Black and White magic. Certain attacks require Miah to expend a certain amount of both kinds of Mana in order to be performed. Miah can only store up to 100 of both types of Mana.
Primary Attacks
Jolt II: [18% DMG] [Dual Cast ] Miah performs a single Medium Wisdom attack against a single foe, gaining 3 Black and 3 White Mana.
Verthunder/Veraero [22% DMG] [Dual Cast, Channel] Miah performs a Heavy Wisdom Attack against a single foe, gaining 11 Black or 11 White Mana depending on whether she picks or Thunder or Aero. Miah also rolls for a 30% chance to receive Verfire Ready or Verstone Ready when she casts this spell
Fleche: [30% DMG] Miah conjures up a series of aetherial swords before sending them flying towards her foe, skewering them before exploding into several beams of burning light. Miah performs a single Wisdom Heavy Attack against a single foe.
(Cooldown: 3 turns)
Special Attacks
Riposte, Zwercchau, Redoublement [18%, 23%, 28% DMG] Miah expends all actions for the turn alongside 80 Black and White Mana to perform a trio of Wisdom Melee attacks. Each inflicting more damage than the last.
Verfire/Verstone: [25% DMG] [Dual Cast] A set of spells that can only be cast when a Red Mage's Aether forms the proper conditions. Verfire and Verstone are among the most powerful spells in the base arsenal of these deadly casters. Verfire and Verstone can only be used when Miah receives Verfire Ready or Verstone Ready from Verthunder/Veraero. When this spell is cast, Miah receives 9 Black or White mana based on what version she performs while also performing a Heavy Wisdom Attack on a single target, gaining 9 Black or 9 White Mana based on whether she casts Fire or Stone.
Acceleration: A special technique developed by Red Mages in order to improve the flow of aether in their body, allowing for the conditions for their most powerful spells to become more easily available. For the next 4 turns or the next 3 casts of Verthunder or Veraero (Whichever comes first) Miah is guaranteed to receive Verfire Ready or Verstone Ready when she casts Verthunder or Veraero.
(Cooldown: 3 turns)
Displacement: [Up to 20% DMG] A flashy technique developed by Red Mages in an attempt to save themselves from incoming damage. By enchanting her legs, Miah leaps back into the air, performing a backflip before firing a large X shaped wave of pure Red Magic at her assaulter. Miah expends one of her actions for her turn to perform a dodge using her Wisdom Modifier in addition to her Dex mod. If she succeeds she immediately follows up with a Medium Wisdom Attack. If the attack she dodges with this does less than 20% then she matches the amount of damage she would have taken instead of dealing just 20%
(Cooldown: 3 turns)
Final Smash
Vermillion Scourge: [DMG 60% AOE] One of the ultimate techniques of the Red Mage. Miah channels her very life force into a powerful incantation before summoning a massive sigil beneath her foes' feet and unleashing a massive barrage of brutal arcane blasts. Rocking all of her foes with magical energy before detonating the Sigil in a burst of intense red energy. Miah takes 20% recoil to attack all foes she can see. Inflicting non-elemental Magical Damage.
Other Info:
When Miah needs to travel to a distant location swiftly she rides on an Elbst named River.
