Being twelve years old has its perks. Unlike the adults, she did not have to pay bills, worry about taxes, or even do the grocery shopping herself! Even more so for Paula, as she was one of those kids with the superpower to go on amazing adventures without parental guidance. It was all the same on Li, where people had to eat, sleep, work, and make sure he or she remained in good health. Yep, just the adult things in life. Her parents were the ones who needed to take the young girl to the doctor, what with those popsicle stick tests on her tongue, using that little hammer on the knees, and also take Paula's temperature.
The simple things, common things, and other things she needed to worry about herself now. Unfortunately, this was the Life Sphere. As such the girl needed to do some grown up things such as take herself to the doctor.
"Oh, yes, I'm here for a check up with a doctor," Paula said to the lady working the front desk. Her bright smile gave way to a similar one from the nurse, who instructed the PSI user to sit down until someone was available. Nodding, the child in a pink dress skipped to one of the spare seats. Her chair of choice had room between her and others, as it was impolite to intrude on the personal space of others. Of course, Paula was not going to protest someone opting to sit next to her. Gazing about the waiting area, a curious thought came to mind. When was the last time she was in a hospital with her old friends?
Everyone in the group during their journey needed the hospital at least once. Although, there was that embarrassing moment they forgot Poo was not used to what he considered foreign foods. He got better at least! Somewhat ...
