Chaos, steady yourself Shadow! Why can’t you get a hold of this move?
Shadow snarled before letting out a breath he’d been holding in for several seconds, panting as his exhaustion was starting to get into a ridiculous height. The striped hedgehog started panting as he tried to gather up his energy again, not even bothering to say the phrase anymore before heaving out a sigh and plopping down into a sitting position. This was starting to frustrate him. The hedgehog glared down at his hands as he snarled.
Why? Why won’t anything work?
Shadow rubbed his hands over his forehead, letting out a frustrated groan, punching the ground as a burst of energy unleashed across the plain. Not a particularly powerful one, but it was something. Oh, so now his powers decided they wanted to work. Right when he didn’t want them to. Nice…
The hedgehog’s teeth clenched tightly as his vision became as clouded as his thoughts. What the heck was happening to him? This was starting to drive him mad! He hadn’t felt this angry, like something so unjust happened since… since…
Shadow lowered his hands down, hands still clenched, and still on guard. Maybe he just needed some rest. Yeah, maybe if he took a few seconds to listen to the nature around him, or as much nature as the life sphere allowed, maybe he wouldn’t have been so tense. Shadow laid down on his back, gripping on the grass underneath him as he tried to listen to various sounds that surrounded the area.
The life sphere didn’t allow much wind to pass through the protective sphere, so much of the orchestra of nature had been lost. Still, he did hear some chirping of birds and the buzzing of various insects. This whole Starvia epidemic made it almost impossible to enjoy all that nature had to offer. Honestly, there wasn’t much of the Life Sphere itself that Shadow particularly cared for. The idea of having to stay behind a protective wall in order to stay alive? He was the Ultimate Lifeform! Shadow shouldn’t have really needed such protection.
But… she saw something in this place that he didn’t. She wanted him to take care of himself, so he did. He never liked it when she was upset…

Shadow shook his vigorously. In an instant he was back on his feet. He really needed to get this Chaos Boost, and all his other powers, kicking in gear again. Because… well this planet needed his power. It wasn’t that he was trying to run away from his thoughts. Really!
