“I don’t think you quite understand what I’m trying to ask you,” a clearly pissed off creature covered in black quills, with six of them particularly large and covered in red stripes, was starting to get into the face of the person behind the desk. “So maybe I’ll say it in a pace that you’ll hear ever syllable. I. Need. To. Get. Back!”
“...I understand sir,” the man behind the desk said, surprisingly calm. Customer service, am I right? “But it’s like I said, no one knows how to get back. Don’t you think anyone would be here if they could just go ho-!” Suddenly a white gloved hand grabbed the man by the collar and pulled his face dangerously close to the creature.
“Listen here you piece of crap! I don’t have time for this, this whole situation is crap! If you know anything about how to get back and you’re not telling me, I will kill you.”
“Sir… let me go, or I’ll have to call security and have you restrained for threatening me.” This human was taking Shadow’s threats in apparent strides, but the hedgehog could see the fear in his eyes. That’s all anyone ever showed when they looked too deeply into his red eyes… fear.
Well… there were a few exceptions. Including…
Shadow released the man before hopping off the desk and leering at the man. “Remember what I said…” The hedgehog walked a few meters before getting out of site from the few people who saw that scene unfold. Welp, guess he made quite the impression to his neighbors, hadn’t he?
Once he was completely out of sight, the hedgehog cursed under his breath and slammed his fist against a nearby wall in frustration. What did he really expect? Some business man behind a desk would be able to help him figure a way out? The hedgehog, the Ultimate friggin’ Lifeform, seemed pretty desperate, hadn’t he?
...Well, it wasn’t any of their business! He just had to get back, and that was it. He’d do everything in his power to go back to his home… the place where he had a purpose. A place he was meant to be.
Here? This was merely a distraction. The sooner he left, the better.
