The location was a humble little building in Rainbow Square advertising itself with a sign that had a minimalistic drawing of a hot spring on it, little wiggly lines representing the heat coming from the water. Nothing said diversity like an ad that could be understood in every language--including illiteracy. Inside, the building was split up past a welcome area. There was a side for girls, and a side for boys, within which were locker rooms and a row of simple showers, so that you could store your belongings and give yourself a brief shower before the soak. It was to keep the actual soaking water relatively clean, of course!

On the girls' side, Arle and Lyndis were currently in two of the showers, cleaning themselves off. "You're really starting to get your strength back! It'll be nice to sit and soak for a while after a day of pushing yourself." Arle light-heartedly remarked from the adjacent shower stall. "Definitely. I'm surprised you still have the time to walk with me every day." Lyn replied somewhat softly.  "--Yyyeah! It just feels like we've gotten close, y'know? I wanted to keep that..." Arle somewhat bashfully commented with a little chuckle. "...You're a nice girl, Arle." Lyndis replied. She hadn't seen any of her old friends since waking from her coma. It had just been her and Arle for the most part, so she was definitely grateful. She could have never recovered on her own. When she'd first awoken, even moving around on her own had been excruciatingly painful.

The onsen itself was large, with a group of women already sitting inside, enjoying themselves. The edges were decorated with smooth boulders, giving it a somewhat 'natural' vibe. The mineral water was pretty warm to the touch, with a very gentle current--almost unnoticeable--caused by the pump hidden somewhere inside.

A couple shower stalls over from where Arle and Lyndis were, Krystal stood under the shower head, feeling the chilled water soak through her fur. It had been a long time since she had treated herself to any kind of relaxation, let alone a spa retreat, but she was by herself, and it was free, so why not?

She made sure to groom her fur extra well before she came here. Hopefully there wouldn't be anything caught in it, but if there was, that's what the shower was for, right? After getting herself good and wet, Krystal stowed her clothes, which she had left on one of the benches, into a locker before walking out to the pool and slowly lowering herself in. "Mmmm, that feels great" Krystal murmured to herself, allowing the warm water to soak through her body and convert her to an almost total state of relaxation.  Krystal leaned up against the fake rock boarder and slowly closed her eyes, drinking in the feeling of utter content. She could get used to this.

Espurr barely even had to spend much time in the shower, to be honest. She was, after all, quite small, and in spite of her thick fur, it didn't take long for the water to saturate her. After exiting, she wasted no time practically sprinting to the onsen, not wanting to spend too much time with her wet hair exposed to the air - she appeared much skinnier without the fluff of her fur. She then dived in, creating a small splash before she reached the surface and swam to the side, holding her back to it and kicking her legs to stay afloat. Though, with her individual strands of fur floating in the water, it would be a bit hard to see exactly what her limbs were doing beneath the mass.

A few stalls over from the others, Fay washed herself... and prepared herself emotionally. "Right... It's just a chance to hang out with some other girls, right?" She took a deep breath. "Right." She turned off the faucet, and exited into the onsen. After giggling a bit at Espurr's dramatic entrance, she sat down a... comfortable distance from Krystal, and waved to her awkwardly. "Hi."

Several of the women in the onsen, some of whom were likewise not human, were decisively spooked by the sound of rushing footsteps. A lot of them had an idea of what that entailed, and so their gaze turned to Espurr only to discover she very tiny. Her dive into the onsen barely sent up a splash. ...Huh. False alarm, then. They supposed you could get away with that sort of behavior when you were that small. Oh well! Everyone decided to ignore what would've otherwise been considered quite rude. No harm was done, right? No one got splashed or disturbed all that much.

Eventually, Arle and Lyn walked out together, decisively unfazed that they were both without closed. Neither of them seemed to be paying any attention to it. Lyn was much taller than Arle, and was frankly taller than the average woman in the room at that. They both spotted a wrack of towels nearby, for when they were done and needed to dry off. Briefly pointing it out to each other, they moved ot slip into the water together, sitting on the opposite side of krystal, just out of arm's reach. However, they were sitting directly next to each other in such a way that suggested they were quite close in ways that weren't physical. Slipping down deep into the water such that only her shoulders and head remained above it, Arle finally turned to acknowledge her neighbors. "Hi~!" Arle greeted, smiling brightly at Krystal and Espurr. Following Arle's lead, Lyn greeted them both with an unassuming smile and a very slightly timid. "Hello." ...In her case, she was mostly just unused to non-humans. "The water's very nice. You can feel the minerals in it!" Arle mused aloud. "Is that what that is?" Lyn replied. It was definitely a different feel to bathing in purified water, but the rationale was that it was good for your skin.

"...Arle?" a girl's voice called out from across the onsen. A girl with distinctly and luxuriously long pink hair rose up and walked over, standing in front of Arle. It was Raffina! ...Without makeup. It was strange seeing her that way, but only because it was unheard of normally. She looked ...fine without it? Actually, the fact that she'd never seen Raffina like this was lowkey bothering Arle, but she decided not to comment on it. It was pretty obvious why she was au naturale right now, after all. "Hey Raffina~ Funny meeting you here!" Arle greeted somewhat bashfully. "Who's your new friend?" Raffina asked. "Oh--This is Lyndis!" Arle explained. "Arle helped take care of me while I was recovering from my coma and couldn't take care of myself." Lyn explained.

Krystal almost didn't register that others had joined her in the bath, but at Arle's greeting, she came to her senses somewhat. That and Espurr's rather dramatic entry made her giggle a bit. The psychic cat Pokémon looked like nothing more then a ball of wet fur in the water. Turning her attention to the other two that had joined her, she greeted them with a smile. "Oh, hello!" Krystal greeted. "My name is Krystal. What's yours?" She didn't recognize Arle or Lyndis, but the fourth person to join the onsen looked a bit familiar....

"Do I know you?" Krystal asked Fay "I feel like I've...seen you before" Before Krystal could ask Fay anything else, another familiar face came over to say hi, and this time, Krystal actually knew who this was.

"Hi Raffina!" Krystal greeted her. She looked different then when she had met her at the mall, but perhaps that was because of the lack of make-up. "Come to pamper yourself a bit too?" Bit of an obvious question, but regardless, Krystal liked seeing someone she recognized here. "Why don't you come join us for a bit?" Krystal offered. She had a feeling Arle was going to ask that anyway, but she might as well ask anyway

Espurr simply relaxed, enjoying the presence of new arrivals. Frankly, she was more comfortable with the nudity - in her own world, Pokemon rarely wore much more than a scarf. She greeted the new arrivals with waves and smiles, enjoying the water running through her fur.

Fay, meanwhile, was significantly less calm. Though she held together on the surface, she was blushing just under her fur at the new arrivals. She kept her voice down and simply nodded in response to the greetings of others, but was taken aback by Krystal's direct address. "Um... Maybe? I've heard of you. We came from the... s-same world." She didn't mention her connection with Star Fox - the breakup of Fox and Krystal was pretty big news back home, and she wasn't sure if discussion of the team was still a sore spot for the vixen. Better not to risk it, right? "I'm Fay."

[Mari]

"Of course! I have to take care of my skin so that I'll look radiant and desirable~" Raffina replied, getting up and modeling her arm a bit to show off her delicately maintained skin in the light before strolling over. She did seem to take quite a bit of pride in her looks. Perhaps it was less than surprising. What did she have to be ashamed of? She was distinctly the fittest of the group, though given everyone else except Arle--a mage--and Lyn--a recovering cripple--had fur hiding any semblance of muscle they might have, that might not be saying much. Raffina sat back down nearby and dunked her head under the water for a good long moment. ...It would be a very bad idea to open your eyes in water like this. The minerals in it were much like free floating sand in terms of their texture. She emerged after a few moments, quite content with herself. "I wonder if the same minerals here are good for fur as well?" she quickly added, pondering this for a moment. "...Hmm!" Arle chimed in, joining Raffina in pondering this. Lyn didn't bother. She'd never really known humanoid animals before this world, so it was beyond the scope of her knowledge to take care of fur. After a moment, Arle shrugged helplessly. She kind of doubted it was important, anyway. "Well, anyway. My name's Arle! And this is Lyndis." Arle introduced. "Hey." Lyndis calmly greeted, taking Arle's lead. "It's nice to meet you all! I feel like this is one of the nicest places to get away, relax and make some new friends outside of the magical girl's society itself. Also nothing too weird happens here, so it's great for relaxing!" Arle light-heartedly explained.

...

Cut to Choppun, hovering over a glowing security monitor. "That's what you think, my dear Arle~ But there's no escaping my watchful gaze." Choppun darkly remarked.

...The camera then rotated to reveal that he was playing a reskin of Pacman where he was Pacman and the ghosts were Arles. He had just cornered one with a power pellet. 

...

"...Do weird things normally happen when you try to relax?" Lyn asked. "...Sorta. ...Yeah actually, it's kinda hard to get a break. Either something's trying to eat me, something's trying to hit on me when I don't even know them, or some kind of weirdly themed monster shows up just to ruin the peace!" Arle lamented. "...Oh. I used to know a man like that back before I came here. You deal with them a lot?" Lyndis replied, silently grimacing a bit at a less than fond memory. "Yeah..." Arle weakly replied. "I have no idea what makes them go after me like that. ...Or why they refuse to take no for an answer." Arle mused aloud, lightly venting a bit. "...It's because you're very pretty." Lyn affectionately remarked, earning herself an embarassed smile from Arle, who wasn't quite sure how to respond to that one. It had taken her off guard.

"You're from the Lylat system too?" Krystal asked, surprised. She wasn't aware anyone else from that system had made it here. She had been a ways away from there when she crashed here...…Perhaps the same thing happened to her? Not only that, but her name rang a bell in her mind. "Fay.....Fay....That name sounds familiar. I don't know why though. Did you perhaps do something for Star Fox?" Not a topic she'd want to delve into, but it was the best lead she had on just who this Fay was...

While she waited for Fay to give an answer, she turned to Raffina. "Oh, the minerals here do wonders for the fur, or at least, that's what I've heard. Supposed to make your fur silky smooth and shiny, as the advertisement said. Thought it couldn't heard for me to try it out. I could use the relaxation time anyway. Krystal's the name. It's good to meet you all." Following Raffina's lead, Krystal dunked her head under the water briefly, feeling the water flow through her hair and around her face. As she re-emerged with a gentle breath, she heard Arle and Lyndis discussing something.

"Are incidents like that very common here? Because I'd rather not get harassed by some weirdo while I'm trying to unwind." Krystal commented. While she hadn't had the same troubles that Arle had for the most part, she wasn't all that keen to start, especially not here. "Although if anything does happen, I'm sure we could take on whoever tries to bother us"

There was a moment of silence from Arle and Lyndis at Krystal's rather forward question. Arle wanted very badly to tell her it wasn't a common issue, but her experiences told her otherwise, and who was she to speak for anyone else? Trouble always followed her, especially when she was trying to unwind! A guilty expression came over Arle's face. If something happened, would it be her fault Krystal had to deal with it? It almost felt that way, sometimes... Lyn just kind of watched Arle for a moment before abruptly realizing she didn't know how to answer. But she didn't know either! She just woke up from a coma!! Flying to Arle's defense, Lyn made up the best response she could without knowing much about the life sphere. "--I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to pull a stunt like that in a public bathhouse." Lyndis light-heartedly dismissed.

Cut to Choppun

"Nope! That's what this here button is for. When I press it, you'll come right to me." Choppun announced, waggling an enormous finger in the air before pressing a big red button with Arle's face printed on it. ...A Rube Goldberg Machine began delivering him snacks without him having to get up to get them.

"...Huh. How long has it been? Geez! Time flies when you're having fun. I almost missed my chance to bag Arle!" Choppun announced, before reaching over and flipping a switch nearby. A similar goldberg machine brought him a doggy bag. Choppun just kind of stared at it for a moment. " . . . Alright this isn't fun anymore. Which of these is my Arlenapper."

...

Meanwhile, underneath the spa...

“...Huh. This doesn't look'a much like a water pump, mister. Are you sure this is supposed'a be here?” Luigi asked in confusion, testily tapping what appeared to be a turbine engine crudely strapped to the underside of the spa with duct tape. He was doing a checkup on the machinery. "I'unno. This is how it was when I got here." the rather carefree pianta observing him replied. “...Well! Not to worry! Let's'a just see where'a this is hooked up to!” Luigi replied, moving to further inspect the strange machine that had been rigged up around where the water pump was supposed to be. The more he looked at it though, the more things stopped adding up. These pipes were a bit large for delivering water... Why would you ever build a spa like this? It was a safety hazard! “...Hmm.” Luigi murmured. Before he could investigate further, however, the turbine kicked into gear and abruptly began racing, nearly yanking Luigi's hat off his head with the powerful air current it created. The engine itself began to rattle and shake, and the room began to rapidly grow warmer. “WAH!!” Luigi blurted out, nearly falling backward in an effort to get away from the danger zone that engine represented. Both the intake and the outtake of the engine were lethally strong, blocking off his access to the rest of the spa.

"--Yeah! You'd have to be crazy to try something like that. We can definitely beat them up if they do. ...Or we could just let security handle it. It might be a little cold once we get out." Arle light-heartedly added, only to abruptly go deadpan as she observed the world beginning to spin around her. ...Hold up, what the hell? Her eyes widened in alarm as she observed the water level beginning to dip in the center of the spa, screaming in fright as the spinning rapidly intensified to form a whirlpool in the water, pulling the girls around and inward! "Wh-What's happening?!?" Arle blurted out in fright, struggling not to get dragged under the currents. The water current was so powerful that even if one were somehow fast enough to resist it, it packed enough force behind it to break bones if they somehow did. "--H-Hold your breathe!!" Raffina yelled, her last ditch attempt at saving anyone.

The girls would be dragged underwater, and down a twisting maze of pipes, not unlike a pitch black water slide! Whee!

"I see.." Krystal said thoughtfully. Lyndis had a point. What kind of person would try anything when there were so many people in here, even if they were unarmed? It'd be a suicide move! Feeling reassured, Krystal sank back into the bath, feeling the warm water rush around her, flowing toward the center of the spa....

...Hang on, what?

The water felt...oddly fast. Much too fast for a normal jet setting. Opening her eyes in shock, she gasped, almost swallowing water, as she was pulled her toward the whirlpool. She tried swimming to the edge, but her tail, which always seemed to take in a lot of water, acted as a drag and held her back. "Hold on, everyone!" she warned, before her head disappeared under the waves.

Krystal collided with the walls of the pipes multiple times, something that did no favours to her bare fur. Luckily, she managed to avoid getting the air knocked out of her, but she was still left with a number of bruises pretty much everywhere. So much for having a relaxing day at the spa....

Raffina was slammed against the pipe walls for mild damage, managing to somewhat mitigate it by curling in her limbs and bracing herself. However, the strain on her body proved to be a bit more than her lungs were prepared to handle, and by the time she emerged into Choppun's giant aquarium style fish tank she was out of breath. Moments later, she thrashed as she involuntarily breathed in water, smiting her strength and causing her to float rather limply in the water.

Crash! Arle flailed around helplessly as she emerged in the water, but soon regained her bearings and righted herself, taking a deep breath of the water. Unlike Raffina, however, her lungs were fully capable of processing the oxygen out of the water and so she did not drown. As she looked around to try and figure out what in the blazes was going on, the sound of a man's laughter sent a chill down her spine. Not because it was particularly intimidating laughter--full of snorts and kinda dorky actually--but because there wasn't supposed to be any boys here considering the lack of any clothes.

“Hahaha--snort--haha! You've fallen right into my trap! Welcome to your new home, beautiful. My home. This is my home.”

Arle sneered at Choppun, quickly doing her best to cover herself. “Let us out of here you basement-dwelling pervert!” Arle snapped. “...Hey, don't you judge me! I'm living my dream here!” Choppun retorted. “...Your dream is keeping a bunch of naked girls in a giant fish tank?” Arle flatly replied. “Yes. Just one massive missileproof glass wall between me and my waifu, free to observe to my heart's content. *Sniff* It's beautiful.” Choppun remarked, brushing a fake tear from his eyes. “...They can't breathe you idiot!” Arle scolded in a mild panic. “...Huh. Just share your breathe with them like in the cartoons!” Choppun replied. Arle turned rather red at the implications of that statement, leering daggers at Choppun. “Ice Storm!!” she incanted, tossing a flurry of sharp icicles through the water and attempting to break through the glass wall with a storm of ice. However, the ice merely crashed against the thick glass wall, breaking or falling. “Oooh, I can't wait to show you my collection of memorabilia! Look, I've got the first edition of Satan Dating Simulator. This version has a secret ending you can only unlock through multiple playthroughs and successfully courting the final waifu in various different ways--that's you.” Choppun gushed, holding up a game box with an bishounen Satan seeming to proclaim his love on it surrounded by various girls including Arle in the background. “ . . . What the hell is even that??” Arle blurted out in overt distress.

Above Krystal was a metal mesh top to allow Air in. Below her, the sandy bottom of the tank was littered with various giant size fish tank stuff. A 'toy' castle, a treasure chest that occasionally popped open, releasing a few large bubbles. And off to the side, there was some sort of filtration system. A giant one with its own mesh grating to prevent one from trying to swim inside. The motor inside represented a lethal threat to anyone who did, of course. Choppun's thoughts are filthy and objectifying. The other girls are in various states of pain and distress from drowning, except Arle who is just really upset.

With a splash, Krystal's rough slide ended with her landing in what looked like a giant fish tank. Luckily, she had just enough wits about her to take a breath just before entering the water, and she could hold her breath for a decent amount of time, so she wasn't in eminent danger of drowning....yet. Although that fact might change when she saw what, or rather, who, was watching them from the other side of the glass. 

Krystal's first impressions of Choppun were....something. A figure wearing Arle's clothes, with a bag over their head, and a voice that was very clearly male. That alone made Krystal turn bright red due to her lack of clothing, and she quickly moved her tail to cover as much of herself as possible, but that wasn't all. The man's thoughts started entering her head, and they were, in no uncertain terms, disgusting, and Krystal hurriedly blocked him out in risk of her throwing up right then and there. Probably a good idea, because she had a more pressing issue to worry about.

Even though she was able to hold her breath for a good amount of time, she was no fish, and neither were the others. Arle seemed to be okay, judging from her focusing more on the man watching them but the other two looked like they were out cold. They needed to surface, fast! Krystal looked up toward the surface of the water. Drat. No luck. The top of the tank was covered in a wire mesh. If she only had her staff, she might have been able to make a hole in it.....

Wait, that was it! Krystal's gaze moved to the icicles that Arle had conjured trying to break the wall. Sure, they weren't exactly sharp, but they were the best thing she hand under the circumstances. Grabbing the biggest and sturdiest one she could find, Krystal swam to the top of the tank. There wasn't even enough room to poke her muzzle above the surface of the water, so she had to act fast! Gripping the icicle tightly, she slammed it against the mesh as hard as she could. Hopefully the mesh broke before the ice did...

Krystal, the giant mesh is so thick due to its increased size that it might as well be a steel chain link fence. It gives slightly, but springs right back into place, denying her escape attempt. As you're knocked back down by the recoil, you feel water slip past your throat, entering your lungs. It burns, and saps your strength away rather rapidly. For a good few moment, you're still awake, but mostly helpless as your consciousness slips away from you. The last thing you see is Arle swimming toward you. And then... you pass out.

Meanwhile, Arle was thinking hard about how to get out. That glass wall might as well be concrete with how thick it was. Could she break it? ...Maybe. GIven enough time. But not everyone in this tank could breathe water! How was she supposed to quickly create a--Oh, right. “Warp!!” Arle incanted, tearing open a hole in space in front of her. "--Hey! Where do you think you're going! I'm not done--" Choppun began, before the opposite end of the little 'wormhole' opened right in front of him on the opposite side of the glass wall. "...Oh damn--IIIT!' he lamented as a jet of water explosively launched out of the hole, blowing him away.

Meanwhile, Arle went to beckon Krystal to followed her, only to notice that the water had gotten to her. Her eyes shot open in alarm and she swam up to Krystal, tugging Krystal closer to her and awkwardly hugging Krystal to her body, doing her best to swim with both of them. However, it was very slow compared to swimming alone. Eventually though, the current from the wormhole picked them up and spat them out. Arle wound up tucking her head into Krystal and rolling on bottom to cushion Krystal's fall. She hit the ground with a thud, sliding a bit before coming to a stop nearby. Arle paused a moment to close that wormhole before it flooded the entire room, just kinda laying there underneath Krystal while she recovered from the impact, water leaking from her nose in a frankly stupid looking fashion as she exhaled the water she'd been breathing. This lasted only for a couple of moments before she abruptly remembered this was going to look really awkward if Krystal woke up right then. But uh...

No such luck. Arle rolled Krystal onto her back and sat next to her, sorta trying to wake her without success? She looked around. “Oh geez. How does this work...” Arle whined, trying her best to remember what CPR looked like. With clumsy inexperience, she placed her hands upon Krystal's chest and pushed a few times. She was being too gentle to be effective, though. She had never done CPR before. After a few times doing this without anything resembling results, Arle began to panic a little. What was hse supposed to do?! She couldn't 'heal' water out of someone's lungs! That wasn't how this worked! It was then that Choppun's words came back to her.

...Huh. Just share your breathe with them like in the cartoons!

Arle blanched momentarily. That wasn't how this worked either, was it? Could she just ... share her gift with someone? Arle wasn't exactly sure about that, but then again she didn't really understand how her water breathing worked. She anxiously leaned in, only to hesitate. How did she do this again? With the snout..? Maybe if she sorta turned her head this way and leaned back a little..? Taking a deep breath, she leaned in and locked lips with Krystal breathing hard into her. Once, twice, and thrice. Thankfully, by the time she tried a third time, the first time was beginning to kick in, else she might have thought about giving up. Though she didn't know CPR at all, it turns out... that she actually can share her breath with someone. At least temporarily. Long enough to get Krystal to absorb oxygen from the water she'd breathed in, returning her to consciousness.

Krystal, you awaken with Arle locking lips with you in a shallow pool of floodwater. You might notice however that Arle's thoughts were panicked. She wasn't enjoying this at all. She was desperately hoping she wasn't going to lose you. ...Oh, and you might be about to sneeze or cough up some water. So you might want to push her away. Her eyes are closed while she's concentrated on pushing air into Krystal's lungs.

No such luck. Krystal completely misinterpreted the thickness of the wire mesh, and the ice shard wasn't nearly sharp enough to try and cut though it. The mesh shoved her backward like as spring, the force of which knocked what little breath she had left out of her lungs. She felt water leak into her nose and mouth, filling up her lungs....She could barely make out the form of Arle getting closer to her before everything went black as she slowly floated to the bottom of the pool....

The first thing Krystal could make out as she drifted back into consciousness was some extremely panicked thoughts. She couldn't quite make out what they were, just that they sounded very worried and stressed. As her mind got a bit more clear, she recognized the voice belonging to Arle. Did something happen to them? Last thing she could remember was Arle coming toward her and....

It was then that her consciousness returned to her fully, and she opened her eyes slowly, seeing Arle locking lips with her, though judging from her thoughts she was really stressed out. This state of mind lasted only for a split second, though. Krystal instinctively shoved Arle off of her and turned the other way, entering a violent coughing fit as she tried getting the water out of her lungs. She spent a good minute coughing, hacking and sputtering before she finally could get her lungs clear. Taking a few more seconds to catch her breath, Krystal turns to Arle, giving her a small, rather unsteady smile. "Th-thanks....Arle...." was all she was able to manage at the moment. Give her time, she'll probably be okay in a little bit.
