The Sims should technically be legal, but I don't see the point. A few quick aspects from the Sims reality that make it applicable to the site in my opinion.

Death and the Grim Reaper are canon and the same person.
Aliens.
Literal magic and dragons (See any medieval expansions or versions)
Shapeshifting, potions, and alchemy!
Witchcraft and wizardry.
Spooky Ghosts that can terrorize or benefit the living world.

The hard part is making a story or a fighting character based around Sims. It'd be a knock-off villager in some aspects, given how the game plays.

Although The Sims has optional fantasy aspects, it lacks some very basic things we often take for granted.

For example:

A canon story
A canon setting
A player character that exists within the canon of the world

The base game is very much grounded in reality and lacking in serious apping opportunities. There is no real lore to build an OC off of. Ultimately, the idea that even a devout Sims fan would unironically want to app a Sims character is hard to believe.

….what exactly is the point of making the Sims appable? It's a life simulator, and unlike games like Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon, there's literally nothing separate the Sims from real life aside from the various DLCs
