The arena was beginning to bustle as it always does, but this wasn't your average everyday bustling...  Oh, no.  This was advanced bustling, to the point that it was rather cathartic and chaotic to see Koopas, Kremlings, and even Eggman's robots gathered in the same place, alongside some toads and the occasional Gerudo.  A war bird was seen flying overhead and something jumped off the back of it, landing cat-like on the ground before standing upright, the toads who recognised the girl would cheer openly as she glanced around the stadium,.  Despite her appearance Shantae stood before the citizens looking foreward to a good old-fashioned scrap, her purple hair reminding them of the dance that got them grooving and entertained when she did that mission with Arle and Glover.

"Good thing Wrench can be handy in the Life Sphere, I just don't see a point in trying to make people enter a state of hibernation because of what we do.  Guess I'll have to wait until next time before learning more about this place, stupid eldritch abominations should stay away from town, making it easier to keep them from wrecking the lives of ordinary people and those who have to do this crap to keep them safe." Shantae mused to herself, doing some practice dancing while waiting patiently for her opponent, who just so happened to remind her of her friend, Bolo.

Meanwhile, various people were recording/livestreaming the upcoming match, they knew that Shantae was a person who plays fair despite not needing Kremling luck, she could get by without it because she prefered her monster milk and magic to get through most problems with ease of mind.

Gargos was observing via his portal network and Firebrand was watching the entertainment in the Makai, Ganondorf was tuned in thanks to trying to behave and Zero was recording the fight whilst he was out visiting Iris' grave, Ragna the Bloodedge and Oda Nobunaga were watching the fight via the tv in the Beast Pit whilst Jedah Dohma observed within his pocket dimension.

On the other side of the spectrum, some of the Gerudo were curious on who did her hair like that, but sadly, they nerver learned the truth of what Shantae was and who her parents were, but they were at least lucky to see such a young girl ready and willing to go on adventures and throw down with monsters on a daily basis.  It got to the point that a rumor was possibly spread that Shantae could even kill pirates with just her hair.  This rumor was in fact true because of one herculean feat Shantae did that none could top, let alone attempt to achieve regardless of preparation time or experience...  Take on an undead pirate master in mortal combat and win said battle...  SOLO!  this feat alone made Shantae respected by most good pirates, but there was one feat that none saw coming from even a mile away; Shantae saving an entire MAGICAL DIMENSION all by herself!

Shulk walked into the stadium, reminiscing about his last fight here. It didn't end well, and the consequences that the fight had caused were severe. Shulk hoped that this fight would go much smoother.

Reaching the arena, Shulk looked to the other side, and sized up his opponent. A young women, who looked like she was...dancing?

"I wonder what kind of things she can do?" Shulk thought to himself. Well, as long as her abilities didn't include power copying, then this fight is already swinging in the right direction.

The crowd exploded with uproarious applause when the second of the fighters reared their head. A fight in the Sunshine Stadium!? It had been ages since that happened last! How could the fighting junkies refuse? On top of that, plenty of notable names in the Life Sphere were either on the premises or somewhere nearby, it was the event of the year and nobody wanted to miss it.

Nobody could be more excited than the Master of Catastrophes himself, Ballyhoo. What the two fighters didn’t notice when entering the arena was that there was a third entry way. Normally there were only two for the duo of fighters, but this time there was a massive gate on the other end of the coliseum. Eruptions of confetti poured over the gates like waterfalls as the door began to part, releasing a gigantic sized Mamoswine with a little hut strapped to his back. From within the luxurious mount, the announcer reared his head. Grinning like a descendant of Donkey Kong, he pulled out his signature microphone and began to sing as his mighty steed swayed its way over to the meetup point with the two fighters.

“It is me, the MC, Bally hoo-hoo! ♫ With my hat, he’s thinks he’s all that, that is true-hoo! ♫”

“I’m glad I don’t have ears, otherwise they’d be bleeding.”

“AH HA HA HA! That’s why I constantly wear earplugs!”

“…Everything makes so much sense now…”

The Mamoswine heeled as the troublesome duo made it to their destination. A tiny propeller popped out of Big Top and the MC began to flutter over the two fighters. “AH HA HA! You two are definitely familiar faces around here! Just look at the crowd they brought in! These two must mean serious business! And that means serious business for us! AH HA HA! That also means you two know the rules, so let’s get this show on the road!” the announcer explained as he pointed at something. It looked like he was pointing at a camera, but there was a definite lack of one in the area.

Before the brawl could begin though, a wheel shot out of the ground, flashing with lights like it was a Christmas tree. There were so many options, though the first words that would catch someone’s eyes were the big flashing letters that stated ‘SPECIAL RULES.’

“I thought I told you to can the Chump Charity Wheel already?”

“Ah! My poor misguided Big Top! This scheduled match was slotted as a Special Match! Some variant rules to keep things fresh and interesting! No one has recommended their preferred rule, so we randomize it! Let’s give ‘er a good spin!”

With a mighty swipe of his huge fists, MC Ballyhoo spun the wheel. The tickers ticked and the arrow flickered about until it came to a stop on one of the pieces of the pie chart. The area in question was labeled ‘Wisdom in Strength!’

“AH HA HA! This one is my favourite!” the announcer shrieked as he pulled a plump bag out from underneath his hat. He slapped the underside of the sack and then flew over the two combatants. Clouds of dust sprinkled over the duo, a strange altering of their states of mind and their physical strength.

“…What are you doing to them?”

“Well, the blurb on this stuff said that it made the wise stronger and the strong wiser! I don’t know what that means, but it will surely make the battle more interesting! Won’t it, Big Top!?”

The hat looked to the two combatants with genuine concern for a brief moment and then scrunched his face. “…Or it will contort their bodies and mind, and reduce them to twisted amalgamations of what they once were…”

“…Hrm.” Ballyhoo thought as he placed a finger to his lips. “Nah! They’ll be fine!” he reassured after thinking it over for maybe less than a quarter of a second. He then proceeded to fly off into the sky.

Shantae would stop dancing when her opponent entered the arena. "Definitely not like Bolo, but a good step up." she thought to herself as she sized him up. He was doing the same thing as though it was nothing new.

The half-genie decided to break the ice first though. "greetings, I am Shantae, may I ask what your name is?" Shantae said in a polite tone as a Mamoswine entered the arena with Ballyhoo and his talking top hat Big Top arrived in the scene, spun some strange wheel, and did something odd. Th the surprise of the half-genie, her STR stat had taken a decent hit while her WIS stat was bolstered to compensate. "Looks like I might not like what might happen, but let's keep the crowd satisfied. Makes the fight less boring." Shantae said, activating a wish to help give her an edge.

Shantae would then immediately clasp her hands together with the pointers and thumbs both sticking out and generated a fireball in reference to something, which was then launched at her opponent as though it was a powerful spiraling circle.

Shantae would then end the combo by pulling out her flintlock pistol and fire some rounds that would make tinkerbats run in fear.

Shantae would then start wowing the crowds by doing a victory pose based off her own franchise.

"My name is Shulk. Pleased to meet you." Shulk replied. She seemed nice enough, not at all like Shiya. Perhaps this match would go better then he-

One loud crash later, and the stadium rumbled with the footsteps of a large Mamoswine. Off the large Pokémon's back came that odd individual,  MC Ballyhoo. With a few very loud introductions, Ballyhoo spun a large wheel. Shulk winced, remembering the last time this happened, but was quickly relieved. The wiser become stronger? Well that was excellent news for him!

As Shantae had started attacking him, Shulk raised the Monado briefly before slowly sweeping the air in front of him. "Monado, lend me your power!"  A dark blue aura gathered around him as Shulk readied the Monado for attack.

Shulk rushed around Shantae focusing on her attacks, and attempted to get around them

Shulk tried to get around the fireball, but the blast was just too big for him. The flames surprisingly didn't hurt all that much, but he did end up getting a nasty burn on his arm. Returning his focus, he caught the glint of a flintlock pistol in Shantae's hand.

Shulk reacted just in time, and quickly rolled left, right and left again, bullets from Shantae's pistol flicking through his hair. Finally reaching behind Shantae, Shulk leapt into the air and slashed toward her, aided by Ballyhoo's Strength increase.

“Big Top! What a silly question to ask! How could you possibly confuse the two! One’s wielding a-uh… A baton? Yes of course! The dreaded baton!”

“No, I mean who are they?”

“Oh that’s simple! Just listen to that crowd, that one’s Shulk and the other one is Shantae!”

“…You’re not pointing at anything, that doesn’t help…”

“Of course it does! There’s only two of them so there a fifty-fifty chance that you’ll be right!”

“…You don’t know who is who either, don’t you?”

“I know everything about any fighter that enters the Stadium, Big Top! I’m a professional!”

“…Yes, a professional. So who’s the guy with the ‘baton’?”

“That’s Sh*cough*, clearly! He comes from the land of fancy circles as you can certainly tell by his outfit and weapon! They sure do like their circles!”

“…The land of fancy circles…”

“They’re good at designing perfect circles, they’re not so great at naming things! I bet you if you ask him to draw a circle after the match, it will be nearly perfect! It’s what they do!”

Shantae would be quite surprised at the fact that she managed to get a single hit in, the only difference being that her fireball was still weak by comparison outside of the battle, despite the fact that she had a decent amount of control over her magic regardless.

Then came the Air Slash, and despite it coming from the back, she calling out of that attack alone allowed the Half-genie ample time to get out of the way.

"That was almost successful for you, that and this is good exercise for the both of us." Shantae said, pulling out a bottle of Monster Milk and downing it in two gulps.
CHA ROLL: 9+5=14{downing monster milk; +2 to the STR modifier for 3 turns, turning the -3 into a temporary -1.}

Shantae would then attempt to strike hard with her 'signature' physical attack; her prehensile ponytail hair!

"Tip from me to you; you may need to block this one." Shantae said as she Jumped clean into the air until she was point blank over Shulks head, then came plummeting down with a cutlass in the attempt to slam into the Monado Weilder from on high.

Shantae would then pull off another satisfying appeal to impress the crowd.

Shulk landed after his Air Slash, which Shantae almost effortlessly danced away from. Turning toward her, a confused look passed over Shulk's face as Shantae pulled out a bottle of what Shulk hoped was milk, and drank it.

"Is this really the time?" Shulk asked. Now wasn't really time for a drink break, was it? They had just started. after all. However, Shulk realized that Shantae's drink was more then just a refresher...

Aided by the Monado's speed boost, Shulk jumped back as Shantae's hair whipped a few inches from his head. "Looks like that hair is more then just for show!" Shulk thought, impressed. As he thought that, however, Shantae wasn't set back by her miss, and jumped into the air.

Shantae was extremely fast, faster even for the Monado to keep up with. Shantae landed a hit with her cutlasses. "Impressive" Shulk complimented her. He was indeed impressed by Shantae's battle style, as well as her skill, but that didn't mean that he was going to go easy on her.  Shulk went in for an attack, sweeping the Monado in front of him.

“Oh come now, Big Top! A good ol’ brawl is always a welcome part of any child’s developmental cycle! Just look at how many children participate in the Sunshine Stadium! It always brings a tear to this MC’s eye!”

“…How has nobody shut us down yet?”

“Beats me! Speaking of beat, it looks like things are getting really heated down there! Everyone make sure you take a good swig of milk, it’ll keep you enticed! Just as Sh-*cough* endorses!”

“Hrm, seems to be right. Circle man hasn’t landed a single blow onto his opponent yet.”

“You could say his opponent is running circles around him!”

“…I didn’t think you could possibly do anything to make me loath you more. You’ve really dug yourself to a new low.”

“So you’re saying that you really didn’t DIG that pun!?”

“…”

“That’s a joke, Big Top. You’re supposed to laugh, the audience always needs a prompter otherwise it flies over their heads.”

“It won’t be the only thing flying over their heads…”
