You are now in The Foyer

The door complied to Luigi's pull.  Right before exiting, the dark presence could be felt lifted as if the force had became bored and floated elsewhere.  The room returned to its normal brightness, the light seeping in from the outside and returning its normal abandoned manner feel.

Upon entering the foyer however, Luigi was in for a surprise...

A lanky ghost had sprang down from the ceiling, letting out a shriek as it stretched itself from the floor above all the way down to the ground in front of him.  The specter pulled itself back before swinging itself forward in his face and wailing.  Its jaw expanded and let out a guttural noise in an attempt to frighten the ghost-hunter.

((Luigi.  Roll a 10 or higher in INT to resist the scare.  Else, suffer from the Fear status.))

It pulled itself back a bit and swayed back and forth, covering its mouth with its hands and chortling.  Behind it two more ghost were moving around a circle, chatting with one another before the blocky one noticed its assailant had followed it. "T-thats him!"  he said pointing its small stubby white arm at the Luigi.  The second boo turned around slowly to face him.  It looked rather uninterested despite the fact that it's scaring colleague was jittering back and forth. 

"Mmmh, yes," the other began, "come looking for more treasures, eh?"  The boo carried a smug aura to it, looking upon the plumber with a bored expression.  "You'll be disappointed that the majority it are now in the hands of a much more capable fortune seeker."  It took a moment to shake itself and raise its non-existent chin upward. 

"I don't think that-" the first spoke quickly before being cut off.

"Now you'll see what happens to those who come into Boollinaire's territory!"  The boo shouted before waving a hand around to gather energy before pointing at the wall above Luigi.  The wall began to shake violently.  From it came a rain of old paintings, candles, knick-knacks, and a cloud of dust.

You are now in The Library.

Opening the door up to the library, Pac-Man opened the door wide open and stepped in readily.  His candle lit up the room in a lavender glow to reveal it was mostly intact.  A few books here and there on the ground but aside from some well needed cleaning, it was looking okay.  The sound of piano playing caught his attention.  Walking towards the railing overhanging the bottom floor and peered over.  Yup, there was something down there.  The candle whipped up another lash of light as the tip grew in size.  Pac looked over to it then over to the overhang.  You know, it did tend to light up more when Blinky and the crew were around.  Pac-Man took a few steps back and clutched on tight to the candle before throwing himself over the railing.  He quickly made it down to the bottom floor and bounced off his bottom, sticking the landing.

The piano music suddenly stopped on a high note.  Literally.  The loud ting ringed throughout the room as the maestro spun himself around to view the interference. 

He wasn't looking too happy.

With a wave of his hand, a series of books were pulled from the wall and were sent hurling at the yellow hero.

With a smirk, Pac-Man quickly sidestepped the first book and hopped over the second.  The last one he revved his foot back and kicked aside sending airborne until it collided with the wall.  Like he was going to get pelted by this big-brained bozo.  The pink sphere in his head did bring back the memory of a delicacy back home and whether that or not impacted him, he took pulled himself together and threw his chomping jaws at the ghost.

“Hnnnggg-Goof!”Not a very good judge of his own strength, Luigi swung back into the wall with the door he opened. ‘Opening’ the door back off of himself, Luigi jetted through the doorframe after the confusingly named Virtual Boo.

“Here I Go-Oh No!”Galloping gloves first into back into the foyer, Luigi ran into something worse than the cobwebs he was expecting: a shrieking Surprise dangling down from the ceiling at him.

Closing his eyes and not slowing down, Luigi jumped fist-first right into the ghost, testing its stretchy spectral tension with the Super Jump Punch.

Skidding to a dusty stop from his spin, Luigi hesitantly cracked open a timid eye to see what he was afraid of.
“Who a-me?” He pointed at himself to ask the ghosts as if there was another Mario Brother beside him that he might be referring to instead. Wouldn’t that have been nice?

“Who’s-a he?” Luigi asked Boollionaire about the other, ‘much more capable’ fortune seeker. “…Oh no! Don’t-a tell me Wario’s here too!” He winced and shivered, seemingly even more uncomfortable with the idea of Him being around than the Ceiling Surprise.

“Oh you’re talking about-a…” Luigi sighed in some relief, coming to understand what Boollionaire implied. A short-lived relief as looking up at the wall behind him, it was coming down at him. “…Your shelf.”

“Phew! And mama said no good would come from staring at the ceiling all day...” Luigi rolled his eyes, and patted his brow, having narrowly avoided being whacked by knick-knacks. This old plumber was ready to go rolling home, but he had a bone to pick with these dogs first.

Using the trusty dusty Poltergust G-00, Luigi sucked in the fallen artifacts and unpacked them back at the pack of jacks.

The stretchy ghost was in for a surprise of it's own as it wasn't expecting the green man to rocket his fist in his face, effectively sending it into the floor above at speed unseen, leaving a wet 'schlep' as it seeped into the floor above.  Safe to say his spooking career was over.

"And I'll have it be known that I won't go down again with a fi--"

The smug boo was caught off guard by a candlestick whizzed past its face causing it to float back and clonking its ghostly brethren square in the face. Virtual Boo was sent spinning down towards the ground before crashing and being sent offline. The boolionaire twisted back to be caught by a framed photo of a rather wide man, smacking the back of it flat into his face. It went down too, spiraling down in the ghostly mist onto the floor. Both the boos sat for a bit before poofing into white cloud and vanishing.

Eh heh heh heh...

As a parting gift, one of the Boos left a little surprise.  Four spirit balls appeared and scattered through out the air.  They each spread to different parts of the room and idled for a bit before each heading to different parts.

((Luigi! You can attempt to suck up the spirit orbs before they escape.  Each requires a roll of 6 to beat.  Not too bad but if they manage to escape...))

There was a short pause when Pac-Man made contact with the ghost.  It was an awkward moment where the hero and the enemy stayed motionless for a moment before both of them recoiled: Pac out of disgust and the poltergeist in confusion.

Pac-Man let go at near light-speed as plopped down onto the floor as a ball and. in a brief bounce, was raking his tongue free of the ectoplasm.  That tasted horrid.  What was he thinking biting it without a power pellet?  Not even like Blinky or Pinky just--- Ew.

The poltergeist had a it's bulbous head chomped down on and was bewildered on how the yellow thing managed to touch him like that.  It scurried away back behind the piano and watched as its sampler didn't enjoy the reaction either. 

While the two were having their moments, a pink ghostly orb floated into the room.  The poltergeist, wasting no time, quickly caught the orb in the air with a telekinetic tug and whisked it into the piano.  It phased through and for a moment nothing happened.  Pac was a few feet away on the floor wishing he had a mint while the big-headed ghost stayed hustled up behind the piano in the corner.  The piano suddenly rang out a note which caught the attention of both of them.  It was a single note that played before another lower note.  It eventually became a cacophony of random of random notes before the lid of the piano opened up.  From the inside sprouted a series of sharp triangular teeth that slammed into each other as the piano suddenly shut itself open and shut. 

Pac-Man wasn't sure how to react with the sudden musical imitation of himself but knew it wasn't good.  He quickly picked himself up and began to slowly pace backwards.  The monster made a banging of keys every time it opened and closed it razor-pit of a mouth, getting closer and closer to using him as a chew-toy.

With his back getting awfully close to the corner of the library, he had to thing fast.  No way he could just walk past this thing and he wasn't exactly built to truck through it.  The seconds were ticking down as he could now see inside the beast's mouth where lied a red void as far as he could tell.  Not really any option left, Pac hopped up before slamming his bottom onto the ground and sprung back into the air.  He landed on top the piano to only be thrown behind as his weight was not anywhere close to what the piano had in strength.

With that out of the question, he was going to have to try something different.

Once again he was trying this fruit thing although this time this wasn't exactly an edible.  Well, for others probably.  Pac-Man summoned up a blocky bell and chucked it at the ghost in the corner before charging towards it with Blinky in tow.

Luigi cringed at the wet noise the Ceiling Surprise made, but kept the intake port pointed square at the two ghosts on the floor, cocked and ready to shoot them again if they so much as moved a muscle. The redundancy of making sure two ghosts were dead was lost on him. Luckily for him, they lost and both vanished in a pair of white poofs.
“…Was that enough of a fi--?”
He had to hold a sigh of relief, however as four spirit balls bounced out and scattered around the air. Caught off guard and cowering behind the nozzle like any man relying on his gun, Luigi began to frantically flail around, trying to defend himself with the Poltergust.

Before realizing they were Spirit Orbs and not some final kamikaze attack.
“Oh! Phew! Ey! You no get away from-a Luigi That easy~!” He cocked again and aimed at the rest more assuredly.

After sucking up as many as he can, Luigi turned the suction off and blew excess dust off the barrel as if it were a smoking gun.
“Got-a catch 'em all! Not-a too bad, ay Pac-Man?” He proudly stuck the nozzle back in its holster and clapped the dust free from his hands.
“…Pac-Man?” He looked around, only to be reminded yet again that he was all alone. In the dark. “Pac-a-Man!?” He hastily relit his hand with green fire, something he also was just reminded he could do and remembered his original goal.
“Oh r-right! I’m-a gotta find him!” He panted to himself, trembling as he scanned the room one more time…to be startled by the rapid playing of ‘music’ coming from…the second floor! Well That sounds foreboding…
Was that Pac-Man? ...No, Pac-Man makes more of a ‘Waka-Waka’ sound…
But what if that’s the sound of Pac-Man in danger?
…What if it isn’t?
…Who are you kidding, Luigi? What Else could it even Be? Now get your quaking boots up those stairs and save him!
Save him? He’s Pac-Man up against Ghosts! He’s fine…
LUIGI!
“Okay, okay. I’m-a help him out... A little.” Luigi took a deep breath and slapped his cheeks for courage…With one hand, lest he light his moustache.
“Here we go again, again…” Luigi kicked up dust building into a long jump up the stairs. “Here I’m-a Come Pac-Man!”

Bounding through the door into the lobby, Luigi skid on his momentum against the wall of the library. The music was definitely coming from in there. He had to act fast…before this rush of heroism wore off.
“Okidoki, One, Two-” Luigi hopped on his back foot and charged up again. “-Three-Weegie Time!”
Luigi blindly burst into the room head first, a Green Missile aimed at the source of the maniacal music!

The poltergeist swerved around Pac-Man's attacks with ease.  It mumbled something in his direction before whipping another telekinetic gust around, causing several books to pick up and pile together into a ball of written knowledge.  The piano behind the two was also anger and stamping around in a circle, attempting to right itself.  Things weren't looking too good.

At least until a speeding rocket came in through the double doors, catching everyone by surprise.  Pac-Man turned to see Luigi taking on the head on approach to things which he could admire.  The ghostly specter didn't have nearly the same reaction as it was bashed into the wall.  The ball of books immediately fell and scattered onto the floor.  The piano also immediately stopped moving and went back to not being a monstrous nightmare.  Pac-Man let out a sigh and dashed a hand across his brow.

The feeling in the house gradually began to lighten up.  No more of that dark intense feeling.  The manor was now back to its usual self.  Old. Dusty.  Really in need of repairs. 

"Wakka waka waka.  Wa Waka waka waka?" Pac-Man smiled over at Luigi and let out some arcade speech before throwing a hand over his shoulder back towards the ghost that was knocked out in the corner.  He quickly jumped into a position that mimicked Luigi's vacuum, holding his hands like they were wrapped around the nozzle and tubing.  No way he was going to chow down on something that gross.

The fire in the, well, fireplace lit up with a small flame, giving the room a small cozy vibe.  Pac-Man looked over at it then about the room now it was lit up.  Sheesh, Luigi was right.  This place did need some work.  He thought back to when he mentioned coming back and doing some renovations.  In the sunlight.  He couldn't help but give a little laugh thinking about that.  Would sure beat the ghost hunting business seeing as his bread-and-butter stocks were out.  That was a major bummer too because those things were darn good.  He didn't have the slightest clue as to where to even begin looking if they were still around.  Fortunately, Blinky and the gang made a nice substitutes.  He was grateful but it just wasn't the same as the old-school method.

Speaking of those four, they faded in as the room lit up.   The Dark Moon waaay up in the sky was working on them.  Blinky was staring at the green one hard with it's pixel blue eyes before looking off else where and floating around with the others.  They each moved in their own sense of direction but it was all in a rhythm of sorts.  Clyde faded through a wall, no doubt zoning out again, and the rest were soon to follow.  The yellow ghost-eater raised a hand after them and started to say something but stopped.  They were probably going to be find.  They seemed to have a knack for finding and following him around anyway.

The sound of doors slamming could he heard on the other side of the house.   The entrance side, specifically.  If Pac-Man had to take a guess, that would be the door being unlocked.  It fitted with the whole haunted house thing he was used to.  Turning back to his fellow ghost-hunter, he was wanting say a straight forward 'thank you' to him.  He only got to the idea of that though before swallowing it back down.  Man, this whole language thing was starting to get to him.  His smile turned into a squiggle.  It was like he just figured that the bag of apples he bought were expired.  An inconvenience but nothing too bad.

Anyways, with the ghost-hunting done he was thinking about one thing: food.  Perhaps he could get the guy lunch as form of thank-you.  What was it those two brothers liked?  Spaghetti?  He could go for that.  Lots of it.

(Mission complete!  Feel free to make your end-of-presence post.  This will serve as Pac-Man's exit if Luigi decides to head back to the sphere.)

As any experienced Luigi would tell you, but remind himself too lately, one does not simply knock a ghost into a wall without hitting the wall yourself too. And as a testament to the state of this library’s repair, it gave way to the tip of the missile, trapping Luigi’s head in the wall.

“Oof! Pac-a-Man? Where you at-haaa-CHOO!” After a flurry of Italian flailing and muffled calls of Pac-Man’s name, Luigi sneezed himself out of the hole in the wall, sending him into a tumble to be buried under a mess of written knowledge.
“Hoh! Hah! Hee! Hey! Hoo!” Wasting no more time Luigi sprang up from the pile of papers and assumed every fighting position, including finger guns, scratching his nose, turtling in a defensive position and screaming with his hands on his face before noticing Pac-Man standing there, ending in a pose with one hand on his hip and the other making a peace sign.

“Pac-a-Man! I’m-a found you!” Luigi dived at Pac-Man, lifting him off his feet with a hug. With how reluctant he always is to throw a punch; one could easily forget how strong this Mario brother actually is. “Oh?” Luigi set Pac-Man back down upon noticing he had something to say. “Oh, I’m-a got this. Leave-a this to Luigi.” He proudly took the task of sucking up the last ghost, vacuuming as casually as if it were merely dust under the rug. Might be a little anti-climactic that it didn’t even put up a fight, but Luigi’s the last one who’d complain about that!

And surely enough, with the ghost gone, the fire place lit the messy room nice and cozy again, giving Luigi a long-needed cause to loosen back up and relax… Only to flinch tensely as the four ghosts faded back into view…to loosen up again upon realizing they were pacified under the Dark Moon.

“Sound’s-a like the door’s unlocked!” Luigi’s Italian ears picked up what he had hoped to hear since he got there “Say, you look hungry.” He noticed a look on Pac-Man’s face that he knew all to well from Mario.
“Whachu say let’s-a go home and grab some grub, eh?” He suggested something that, again, he wanted to do since they got there. “I’m-a no know why, but I’m-a got the spookiest hankering for Pierogi!”

“Pac-a-Men first.” Luigi offered the pipe back to the Life Sphere to Pac-Man like an open door, before the wind knocked over some noisy debris bush behind him, scaring him into diving in first after all. “Eyaaahoohooie!”
