Takumi landed a perfect arrow to the middle of the target circle, "I suppose that'll be enough for today."

He then calmly take a seat nearby the farm area, looking at the crops growing and flow with the wind, "... Huh, I need to talk to some people here."

When he arrived in Li, so far he has only interacted with the Toads who escorted him to the Life Sphere. Althought he never really mind about being a lonely bunch, he still feels a tinge of loneliness. Homesick is not much of an issue, but he might just getting his life miserable if he never even talked to a person.

Of all such creatures and people that Chumai laid his eyes upon, no such man, woman, or child struck him quite like Takumi just now. Not literally speaking, but emotionally. Blatant, yet careful steps were taken towards the marksman, each foot in front of the other as his chains dragged the ground, like some sort of mockery of his past. No matter, it was all well and good. The Canid, the Hra'goth within him, was eager to make Takumi's acquaintance, but like many things in life, this would have to wait.

"I was just hunting around when I noticed you were here, stranger." he spoke up, waving as he approached this archer, though ready to move at any given point in time. "You're quite the shot. Makes me wish I took that up instead of melee combat." Chumai hoped he came off as kind enough. If not, well... this only meant he was in for the worst time of his life. Not to mention the beast might get angry. May the Old Gods forgive anyone who made that snarling, slobbering monster angry.

Takumi didn't looked at Chumai, but replied with a small nod, "Thanks for the compliment..? I dunno, I'm more of a distant fighter, but I can land some hits with my own body."

Then he turned his head to face Chumai. "I never thought someone else would be here, though. It's just me these days." He said, putting down his Fujin Yumi beside him.



"Anyways, I'm Takumi, Prince of Hoshido. Well, the current second prince of the whole family."

Takumi lend out a hand to Chumai, expecting him to shake it. "And who you might be, stranger? Whoa, never saw someone like you here." He hopes he doesn't offend the stranger by saying that, but he might get a punch in the face for saying that.

"Hoshido? That sounds quite exotic, and distant. Very well, Prince Takumi," Chumai extended his hand out, those thick, yellow-colored veins clear on his flesh. It was obvious this man was not human, or at least, not fully human, "My name is Chumai Vitirana. I am of Lavista. You are lucky, Prince Takumi. for instead of a royal bloodline, the very life essence of a beast flows within me." he didn't sound dreadful as he usually did when admitting that. As a matter of fact, he seemed to be proud of it. "As you are with the bow, from what I can see, I am with the beast. Unless those last few shots were luck, in which I doubt." He looked onward, and gazed to the targets Takumi'd shot with perfect precision.

If the prince were to look to Chumai's shadow, there would be two, splitting in opposite directions. One of his own, and another of the eight foot, monstrous beast that lay within his soul. Though the posture of said creature wasn't vicious or terrifying. It was... doglike. Chumai took a deep sigh, smiling warmly to his new acquaintance. "I know I sound mad, and you probably... are wary of me, but place trust within me, your highness. I assure you, I mean no harm, nor does the beast. It... says you are reminiscent of a tropical fruit."

"So you can shift between beast and human bodies? You probably reminds me of an acquaintance of mine, and his daughter."



"It's okay if you just call me 'Takumi' though." he chuckled, "Formalities are not much of a thing here, so I can let that slide."

He aims yet again with his Fujin Yumi, and shoots an arrow to the target circle. It hit right in the center. "Some people do tell me I look like a tropical fruit, and... I don't like it. I think they're referring to pineapples? Yeah, it does look like it."

"Indeed, the same fruit. Fellows of mine referred to them as Ananas. A strange name for such an obvious title." He watched carefully, the arrow sailing through the air, then the satisfying'thunk' noise it made when it finally hit home. It was clear the accuracy of the sniper next to him put comfort into Chumai, his eyes nearly lighting up in amazement when the perfect strike was shot. "You've trained hard, Takumi, I can tell."

This got Chumai thinking. What if, perhaps, there was reason behind this training that this prince undertook. Otherwise noteworthy was his royal blood itself, but that'd be for another time. "You must have a purpose for such deadly precision. Forgive me for prying, but if there is, what is it? I would gladly share information of my own in return, if you so wish. I understand adversity and existence go hand and hand." Such a thought that one could not foster will without abrasion was true to Chumai, that a man or woman could not find themselves without conflict at any time.

"Well," Takumi said, "There is a purpose why I train for the best..." he put down his Fujin Yumi, and starts thinking of the answer. "Well..."


His expression went down to a frown, "It's because the person who gave me this bow was my mother, who died fatally by one creature." Takumi sighed, "The creature is gone now, but I still train to let my mother know I'm doing what's right."
