And lo we are back onto the status quo. In which case, we have yet another location in need of some Sub-Locations and we want you the people to give us some suggestions. The three that end up getting picked earns the creator 100 coins a piece.
So, the pick of the week is Zebes Depths, previously known as the Gunship Wreck. In which case, we need some Metroid themed locations or other dark space themed game franchises. Let’s hop to it then! We burned off a week already so let’s make up for that with some good Sub-Locations!
Priority #1 - Distinctness from the parent location: So for example, a sub-location in Mushroom Ruins should not simply be another part of Mushroom Ruins. Toad Town for example would be a sub-location we'd have to deny for not being distinct from its parent location, as that is already the primary setting.
Priority #2 - Roleplay Opportunities: Locations suggested should provide a wide variety of potential missions that could be hosted there. If a location seems more like an individual mission gimmick that caters itself to one specific type of mission, it's probably better off staying that way rather than becoming a sub-location. The same goes for locations that characters can't logically normally access.
Priority #3 - Iconicness: Locations should be representative to the series, as opposed to being stuff that has been randomly made up because it sounds fun. Making your own stuff up is great, don't get me wrong, but because of the issue of clutter we probably won't be accepting custom sub-boards at this time.
A good template to fill out when suggesting sub-locations would be:

A good template to fill out when suggesting sub-locations would be:
Name of Sub-Location:
Parent Location:
Description: Describe the location as it should appear on Li, or as it appears in-game
Role in Parent Series: Tell us about the location's significance in it's game(s) of origin
Suggestions as of now:
Phazon Caverns
Description: A mining cave that was recently discovered by many Zebesian space pirates, thinking they could escape Starvia corruption by hiding within the caverns, little did they know of the fact that they were starting to corrupt from the Phazon that was also discovered there. This place serves as a stark contrast and is literally littered with the powerfully corrosive and radioactive substance that it wouldn't be wise to even linger unless you had Phazon resistant armor of good quality, it is said that deep within the caverns themselves is a powerful entity that is the source of all Phazon within the caverns.
Tourian Lab
Description: The Tourian Lab is a gigantic abandoned lab found at the very bottom of the Zebes Depths, launched miles into the ground of Li by the explosion. The labs are filled with a unique ore-like material known as Zebetite, a substance used by Mother Brain due to its regenerative abilities. The only problem with trying to collect the Zebetite though is that there is a swarm of Rinkas that feed off of the Zebetite, and they try to destroy any and all intruders who threaten to take their ore meals. Besides the rare ores in the area, the Tourian Lab seems to have blueprints on various kinds of machines, and the area is filled with mysterious devices as well.
Crashed Research Lab
Description: A Research Station that was in orbit around Zebes at the time of the explosion, and the transfer has not been kind to it. Trashed and barely functional, this station once held many different specimens from all kinds of different planets. As such, there are multiple different biomes house by the station. However, the creatures that weren't killed by the explosion have mostly been infected, and are now roaming the wreckage. Rumors fly of something really powerful lurking the halls of the station, consumed by a lust for power.
Derelict Bottle Ship
Description: This seemingly destroyed space station is in geosynchronous above Zebes Depths, covered in space dust and supposedly abandoned. However, someone has set up hidden teleporter stations around the area going to and from the station. The facility itself is full of creatures from all across the multiverse, experimented on in what might seem to be attempt to turn them into bioweapons for an unknown purpose. To house these creatures the ship is split up into four sections: the biosphere (jungle), the cryosphere (Arctic Drifts), the pyrosphere (Volcanic Caverns & Deserts) and the actual research sector. Be warned, deadly, unnamed diseases and toxins are a major concern when visiting.
Zerus Crater
Description: This massive crater has become home to a lush jungle peppers with marshy and swampy regions serving as the brooding grounds for the zerg, a powerful hivemind race of Arthropoda aliens that viciously attack anything that enters their territory, violently 'assimilating' the genetic code of other species into their own. Despite their similarities with the Starvia, the zerg and the Starvia are constantly at war with each other in a struggle to keep the zerg contained, resulting in a heavy Starvia presence around the area. Aside from the zerg, the area is also inhabited by some sparse local alien wildlife and the occasional band of space cowboy.
Burrowed Agon Wastes
Description: Deep within the catacombs of the Zebes Depths houses a locale from the planet Aether. It acts almost as an underground dome for the desert ruins, everything being exactly as it was when it was last seen planet side. It is unknown how it arrived on Li in its current state. The area is covered with ruins of an ancient civilization, in addition to portals that randomly spawn everywhere. The portals don’t seem to warp people from one place to the next, but rather into a darker version of the world they once inhabited. The air in this dark world will hurt the host no matter what armour they wear, however, there are bubbles littered around the landscape that will protect them from the dark world’s air, but not the Starvia unfortunately.
