FORUM RULES (Note: Hover your mouse over words with a dotted underline for definitions.)
1. Be courteous to your fellow users. This means no flaming, no spamming, no excessive cursing, no malicious trolling, no Thought Policing, and be cautious about heckling other users' fun. You should also try to give people roleplaying with you a chance to respond to your posts before you run off and make a new one.
2. Be a conscientious roleplayer. That means no God Modding, no Powerplaying, no Metagaming, and no Deadpooling.
3. Please make an honest effort to stay in-character. The bar isn't that high to allow for creative interpretations of characters, but we will intervene if we feel a character has strayed into the realm of Crack RP.
4. Please let us know if you're going to going to be gone for a month or more, or if you're taking a permanent leave, by posting in our Hello / Goodbye board. This helps keep things moving smoothly and makes sure an activity check doesn't hit you while you're away.
5. No unsolicited advertising outside of our advertising area: Downtown Addy

ART POLICIES (Note: These policies, with the exception of #5, apply only to IC areas of the site)
1. You may not use any photographs of real people on the site. Any art that is extremely difficult to tell from a photograph will be treated like one.
2. You may not use any art that depicts the recognizable likeness of a real person, even if it is not a photograph. (Ex: Live Action Jim Carrey Eggman). The sole exception to this is members basing their characters' appearance on themselves.
3. OCs may not use a ligal character for a faceclaim unless they are a doppelganger following the doppelganger clause.
4. You may not faceclaim anyone from an illigal series that is extremely popular in the west. (Ex: Dragonball, One Piece, Naruto)
5. While you are allowed to discuss and upload live-action stuff in the OOC areas of the site, if we notice sustained patterns of behavior that encourage people to associate characters on-site with these live action depictions, we will ask you to adjust that behavior.
6. We do not officially support the use of any art in which permission must be personally sought out from the artist. The reason for this is that it's parasocial and more importantly not legally binding. Do so at your own risk, and do not encourage others to do so.

Note: We allow alternate universe versions / doppelgangers of the same character to be played simultaneously if you have the permission of the person playing the original version. This is called the doppelganger clause. Canon "lookalikes" are exempt from needing permissions.

OUR STAFF
If you need any help with anything you can find links to all our staff in the banner at the top of every page, which will reveal them when hovered over; or simply ask in chat! We are a very friendly and open community that loves to help each other out. For details on what each kind of Staffer does if you want to direct your question(s) see below:
Admin: The Head Honchos that make all the big decisions on where the site's going to go and how it's being run. They have the final say on any ruling and are the most knowledgeable about the site's workings. They often fill in for the other types of staff when necessary or available.
Life Mod: Basically global moderators. They monitor the forums, answer most questions, and have the ability to perform staff duties such as approving characters or editing the roster on their own. These people should know everything about the site rules, regulations, and the site itself; they are very knowledgeable and friendly.
Code Mod: Handles behind-the-scenes work whether it be theme layouts or plugin systems, as well as designs for forms and info pages. If something is broken visually or mechanically with the site's code they are the ones to notify. (Failing that, contact an admin!)
Lore Keeper: They make sure the site's lore isn't being contradicted and is treated with respect, as well as helping keep track of our continuity/ION System updates. They also help alert the higher ups if the rules aren't being followed, and can perform staff duties with higher up supervision.
