Pit coached as Chell got off of Shiya and sheathed her weapon.
“Nobody’s gotta lose a stock today.”
Pit had to do a double take when he heard Chell’s hoodie talking on it’s own. Not that he realized it wasn’t Chell talking.

“Neat ventriloquist trick you’ve got going there! Here let me try:”


*ahem* “So this is all just about information?”
Pit said in his best detective voice without moving his mouth as he lowered his blade from Chell.
“Pretty good, huh?

Now then Shiya, why doncha be a good boy and tell the nice lady all about your trip to the doctor, see? Myhah.”
Pit continued his ventriloquist act while sheathing his staff from Shiya.Like a fool, Pit lowered his weapons all too soon.
Before he could say another word in his mock gangster accent, Shiya launched a pack of smoke bombs and skedaddled. With slight delay.

“Whose idea was it to make that an item anyway?”
Pit complained as he fanned the cloud away with his wings.
“All it does is-Aw great. Where’d he go?”

Shulk looked closer to the light under the couch. He could almost make out what it was, but his investigation was cut short when he heard a loud hiss. Smoke began to fill his vision, but before he could get up, the couch seemingly upended itself and landed on top of him. When the smoke cleared, Shulk, now under said upended couch, saw a trapdoor sitting open where the couch was. Listening closely, Shulk could hear Shiya's voice echoing out from it.

"I think I know where he went, Pit." Shulk answered Pit's question as he crawled out from underneath the couch. He pointed to the glowing trapdoor. "This looks promising, don't you think?" he asked.

Chell looked down at Shiya, ready to keep him down if he got up... Until Pit started saying some really odd things. Chell looked at Pit with a raised eyebrow in confusion at the angel's antics... How was he doing that? Why was he messing around right now? The bad guy could just catch them off guard at any-.... Chell's train of thought ended as suddenly smoke began to fill the room and cover it in a dense concentration of smoke. The girl managed to quickly cover her mouth and nose out of instinct as she was used to people assualting her with gas.

The nasty part was that she still could not see. Fortunately Shiya was very incompetent and was not subtle about his leave at all. She heard something kicked over and fiddling with what sounded like locks. And then he yelled in an attempt to cover his tracks in an even more unsubtle fashion... Man, he was not good at this whole escape thing. Which Chell expected because he was a goofball which meant he was also easy to break.

"Good job, you let him get away. If it wasn't for you and this talking hoodie I could of had him. Fortunately for  you two he is clearly very bad at this escape thing," Chell lectured both Pit and her hoodie for their failures as she walked to the trap door and quickly opened it as Shulk spoke up.  "Come on, babe, don't be like that. I am not that bad. I do appreciate the attention though," the hoodie remarked as he knew Chell was too busy to strangle him at the moment. She looked down to assure it was safe as she prepared to jump down after the maniac, now more sure he was up to something. If this was related to Rosalyn she was sure she could get results on getting rid of her... But she was pretty sure at this point someone like Rosalyn would not work with people so incompetent.

And escape indeed he did as Shiya practically threw himself down the trap door. When Chell took a peek down-the-rabbit-hole, she would find a peculiar looking entrance to what seemed to be some kind of underground room. Past the door there was a narrow, vertical tunnel with walls comprised of an eerily pristine white metal; lights ran down the side from the top down, blaring an unearthly bright, azure hue though not enough to show the bottom. If they were to go down, then it'd have to be via a leap of faith.

MEANWHILE

"OhNoOhNoOhNoOhNoOhNoOhNoOhNo-" Shiya cursed repeatedly under his breathe as he
barreled down a narrow white hall as fast as his legs could take him, in full on panic-mode. "OH NO!"

Turning on his heel down a corner, the panicked mage flew into a room with a rather large door before slamming his fist into a button on it, alarms blaring as the heap of metal began to close on the room. "Not good... not good..." He muttered before turning towards a rather large screen, feeds of what seemed to be some kind of facility playing on it. "You told me we weren't doing anything wrong!" He yelled out... seemingly to nobody in particular. Panting, trying to catch his breathe, his eyes wandered around the room angrily.

...

"INCONSEQUENTIAL!? YOU CALL PEOPLE BREAKING INTO MY HOUSE INCONSEQUENTIAL!? THE LAW HATES ME ENOUGH AS IS!" He screamed, pulling on his hair looking quite mad. If anyone could see him right now, he would probably look extremely crazy... "No no no no... You listen to ME!"

Snarling, the boy smashed his fist onto the console, creating a rather loud CLANG. "I did everything you said... deal?! WE HAD A DEAL!"

Meanwhile, the group would notice a rather loud blaring alarm seemingly coming from wherever the deep fall lead; though it certainly couldn't be anything good as the bright blue lights now began to flash red in unison with the alarm.

“Hey gimme a break.”
Pit protested, finally breaking his ventriloquist doctor act.
“It’s not My fault you spooked him into running away.”

“Nice detective work there, Monado Boy.”
Pit thumbed Shulk up, putting on the ventriloquist doctor act all over again.
“Now this kid’s really going places see, myeah.”

“Be careful guys, could be dangerous.
Like, y’know how when you chase a guy through a dungeon, All the puzzles he passed through are undone somehow?”
Pit warned as he peeked down-the-rabbit-hole.
“My wings can slow my descent, so I’ll go down first.”

Suddenly the blue lights that ran down the side of the chute started flashing red in unison with an alarm.

“What’s that sound?”
A startled Pit quacked.
“Shiya could be in…More trouble than he already is down there! Let’s go!”
Pit rally cried as he charged down into the red flashing darkness.

Shulk peered down the trapdoor, unfazed by the long drop that opened up before him. He wasn't exactly sure how to get down there without hurting himself, but Shiya had definitely gone down that way, so they had no choice.

Just as Pit offered to jump down the chute first, a loud alarm rang out, and the blue lights along the shaft began to blink red in time with the blares. Whatever  Shiya was doing down there, it didn't seem to be going well. Pit charged past him down the trapdoor, leaving him and Chell no choice but to follow him.

Thinking on his feet, Shulk activated the Monado. The pale blue light of the sword soon turned a golden yellow, while a barrier of a similar color surrounded Shulk.

With his shield up, Shulk looked down the chute. With a shrug of his shoulders, he jumped down to join Pit at the bottom of, well, the pit.

Looks like he triggered some kind of alarm and that was a pretty decent fall. She was glad that she was wearing fancy shoes that made her impervious to fall damage. She rolled her eyes at Pit wanting to go first but walked away regardless. She headed over to her Companinon Cube and picked it off the ground with her Portal Gun, holstering the Laser Rifle on her back. She then walked back over now that everybody else went down.

Thinking for a second, she sat the cube down and shot a blue eliptical onto Shiya's living room floor. She then walked back to the hole and jumped down with the Companion Cube in tow. Time to see what that idiot is up to.

Being the bravest and the first to venture down the mysterious hole, Pit would not need his wings as the angel boy's sheer drop was met with a cushiony fall via a well placed and quite fluffy mattress. Don't question it; It's science.

When the three individuals would finally extract themselves from the heap that would undoubtedly form from 3 people cramming themselves down a narrow drop in quick succession, they would find themselves at the front of what looked to be some sort of hallway; the walls, ceiling, all colored a matching blinding white with the occasional streak of green-blue flowing past them as some sort of energy flowed through pathways in the structure.

By the looks of things, there was no way back up; but the group was more than welcome to spend their time searching for one. A little further down the hall than they currently were, thick-layered windows would line the walls of the base, providing sight into spacious almost warehouse-like rooms filled with whirring machinery and stopped conveyor belts... and lining each one were Monados.

Leading out of the machinery and lined neatly along the conveyor belts across the windows were objects undoubtedly based on Shulk's weapon. There were regular Monado swords, miniature Monado daggers lined in sets of two, curved Monado sickles, Monado short swords, Monado Broad Swords, the list went on and on...

It seems Shiya had been up to something!

The flashing lights made the fall distance easier for Pit to gauge how far he hat left to fall. Thanks to his platforming experience, he knew exactly how far he had to begin flapping his wings to prevent splatting to a finish against the floor. Much to Pit's surprise however, the floor was a cloud! Wait not a cloud, a matrass. How convenient.

“Phew! If I had a heart for every time one of these would've come in handy...”
Instead of reminiscing on all his falls, he should've gotten out of the way of the falling Shulk and Chell. At least they had soft and feathery landings, right?

“I could use them to pay my next hospital visit.”
Pit coughed. One depile and limb and wing stretch later, the chase after Shiya resumed.
With no way back up in sight, Pit led the expedition forward, coming to the white room.

“Either we just fell into the Labyrynth of Deceit again or someone forgot to texture this room.”
The whiteness of the walls made it hard to discern if there were any secret was to go beyond the dead end, but Pit tried to find one anyway.

What Pit did find however was thick-layered windows lining the walls of the base.
Ever the curious little pigeon, Pit cupped his hands on the class and peeked inside.

“And all this time Lady Palutena said baby weapons come from Dyntos' Storks.”
Pit commented on the stacks, packs and racks of weapons.
But something looked strikingly familiar about all of them.

“Hey Shulk! Come here! Look! It's a Monado Manufacturing Machine!”
Pit exclaimed, calling Shulk over to look too.
“Try saying that three times fast. I totally want one!”

The drop went on for a while, it seemed to Shulk before an end was in sight. Unfortunately, that end ended up being Pit's back. And before he could get up and apologize, Chell landed on his back, and those heels of hers hurt

Once he crawled out of the dogpile, Shulk looked around. No way back up, so might as well move forward. Following Pit, Shulk soon reached the white room.

"What do you see, Pit?" Shulk asked the angel. He looked though the thick windows for himself and nearly had a heart attack at what he saw. Rows upon rows of weapons, of all different types and styles, lined the walls of the warehouse beyond the window, and all of them had the familiar color and design of the sword attached to his back.

"No...." Shulk gasped "No..." Words had all but failed him as he staggered back from the glass. So this is what Shiya had been up to for all this time? Manufacturing Monados by the truckload? A raging anger suddenly came over him, and with all his strength, he charged at the window and swung the Monado at it as hard as he could.

Chell should suddenly feel thankful she took her time to let the other two jump down first because she was lucky enough to be landing feet first on top of the pile... Wait a minute... Feet First?`Oh no. Suddenly that plan backfired as the uneven nature of the dogpile caused Chell to fall over backwards as she lost her balance from the landing. Jeeze, guys, get some more solid spines.  The portal girl looked up to see that was a long way back up but they can worry about an exit later. As long as she does not use the Portal Gun, they have an easy way out anyway... Should really tweak it so she can make more connections than just one.

Regardless, the talking ahead of them caught the girl's attention. She picked herself up and came over to investigate and sure enough that was something was totally going on. Shiya was mass producing weapons and fortunately they weren't portal guns and this thing... What were these things actually? Monado? Sure, they were red but definitely not tomatoes. More like some alien blade... A Xenoblade if you will.

"... You need to really build up some muscles. I'll handle the glass then, boys," Chell stated before letting off a kick against the glass in an attempt to shatter it. Artifical knee replacement high heels, do not fail on her now. Your strength training has prepared you for breaking into where you're not wanted. Also glass, breaking glass is a very important life skill for emergencies.

And easily Chell was able to shatter the reinforced glass with but a single kick. This is one woman you do not want to mess with. "Okay, now, seeing as I seem to be the only one in the dark. What is a Monado and why is it so dangerous?" she asked, not wanting to be the only one in the dark here.

"Does she have to break ALL of my windows!?" Shiya yelled exasperatedly at the screen of one of the monitors in front of him,
the mage having a direct feed to what was going on thanks to some conventionally placed cameras.

"Those things took forever to fit!" Flopping back in his chair as he glared angrily at the monitors, Shiya was still having a stressful time wracking his brain for a solution. He was kinda backed into a corner here; his "Secret facility" had been discovered, and now the feds were just busting into all the weapons that had taken up weeks of hard labor to produce! "If you have some kind of plan to fix this, now would be a good time to share with the class." Shiya spoke openly, seemingly to himself as he banged his fist down on the console. "Wha-...the big, red button? Isn't that the thing I'm usually not supposed to pres-Yeah OKAY OKAY! I get it already!"

Shaking his head after taking a deep breathe, Shiya pressed down on said big-red button in front of him, not even sure what it would do.

Hopefully it wouldn't do anything he'd regret.

MEANWHILE

Chell's breaking in had created quite the ruckus. As if activated by some unseen force, the mechanical arms stationed at the ceiling spots above the conveyor belts sprang to life, instantly pointing their threatening clamps at the trespassing group.

As 4 clamps began springing to life, each grabbed a Monado-looking weapon reminiscent of a buzz-saw from the conveyor belts underneath before zipping along their rails with killer intent.

“I don’t get what the big deal is.”
Pit shrugged as Shulk and his Monado bounced off the glass.
Being used to having several multiples of the same weapon in his arsenal, perhaps Pit wasn’t the best candidate to sympathise with Shulk at the moment.
“Having spares of your weapon comes in handy.”


“Hope Shia had spares of that glass…”
Pit coughed after Chell broke clean through it with her heel.
As expected when you try to break and enter a secret factory, Chell tricked the security system.

“See this is what I mean.”
Pit decided to use the four clamps, each with their own Monados as an example.
“Spares come in handy… Kinda.”

Welp since stealth was blown, it was stomp-the-guards time.
And having just come off the subject of the virtues of spares, Pit decided ‘why fight with one sword if you could fight with two?’
He unseathed his Palutena Bow, and split it down the middle into twin blades held in each hand.
It was like having two spares of half a blade, except the halves were halves of a whole weapon, which was kind of like a spare of another weapon that he had spares of back home…Anyway he started fighting.

Shulk sighed. He couldn't leave his allies in the dark like this. Not now. He started to explain, but was interrupted by the windup of machinery. Whirling toward the broken window, Shulk saw four saws, modeled after the Monado, whirring toward him and his allies

 Shulk tried to jump out of the way, but the saw still knocked him away. As he got up he sighed again. "I'll tell you everything a bit." he told Chell. First he had to take care of these things. Unsheathing the real Monado and activating it, Shulk charged all four saws.

"Eeeeeeek!" Chell's hoodie screamed rather girlishly to cause Chell to notice something was wrong. Chell looked back as she heard the sound of approaching mechanical arms, a sound she was quite good at distinguishing. She backflipped back to avoid the first arm with quick manuverability just for the second one to come after her. Managing to evade just in time as she jumped to the side, she proceeded to try and beat down the arms with force... Apparently not being as proffecient in weapons as her teamates, using a rather brutish style.

Chell was seeming to have no more luck hitting them as they did for her. Still, she was determined to break more of Shiya's property apparently as she watched the other blows from her backup thrown at the arms. One seemed to be significantly damaged potentially from all the shots aimed at it. Seeing it as her chance, Chell jumped to land off one of the arms and proceeded to attempt to rip out the injured arms with all her strength. "... Just don't get me ripped to shreds... Okay? Promise? Please?" Chell decidedly chose to ignore her hoodie's complaints.
