It’s Sunday, so you all know what that means! More Sub-Location suggestions! So, the turn out for the last suggestion thread was slightly better than the Mushroom Ruins thread, in which case the 100 coins prize for the winners will still stand.
This time around we’ll be moving from the Hyrule Crater to the ship graveyard that is the Sector X Crash Site. That means we need some Sub-Locations to represent this lovely dessert of garbage. Considering that Starfox is not nearly the size of a franchise that Mario or Zelda are, members will be encouraged to grab ideas from other series similar to it, such as F-Zero, Pikmin(I guess?), and other space themed Sci-Fi games, particularly space themed shooters if you want a better range.
So, hop to it!
(Turns out you can’t quote a quote of a quote)
Priority #1 - Distinctness from the parent location: So for example, a sub-location in Mushroom Ruins should not simply be another part of Mushroom Ruins. Toad Town for example would be a sub-location we'd have to deny for not being distinct from its parent location, as that is already the primary setting.
Priority #2 - Roleplay Opportunities: Locations suggested should provide a wide variety of potential missions that could be hosted there. If a location seems more like an individual mission gimmick that caters itself to one specific type of mission, it's probably better off staying that way rather than becoming a sub-location. The same goes for locations that characters can't logically normally access.
Priority #3 - Iconicness: Locations should be representative to the series, as opposed to being stuff that has been randomly made up because it sounds fun. Making your own stuff up is great, don't get me wrong, but because of the issue of clutter we probably won't be accepting custom sub-boards at this time.
A good template to fill out when suggesting sub-locations would be:

A good template to fill out when suggesting sub-locations would be:
Name of Sub-Location:
Parent Location:
Description: Describe the location as it should appear on Li, or as it appears in-game
Role in Parent Series: Tell us about the location's significance in it's game(s) of origin
Suggestions as of now:
Aquas Depths
Description: A giant underwater freshwater trench from the remains of the planet Aquas, Aquas Depths is a underwater site filled with various ancient ruins and filled with many kinds of fish. While the surface of the trench area has relativily low Starvia activity, the deeper someone goes into the trench the higher Starvia activity appears, all the way to the bottom, where infected fish can be seen everywhere and the water has grown dark with Shadow Bugs. While the bottom is almost impossibe to survive, there seems to be rumors of a massive creature at the bottom surrounded by a shell of Shadow Bugs that guards a massive fortune, which attracts many treasure hunters.
Dilapidated Ilos Territory
Description: This span of overgrown alien ruins is anomalous in that the days here last twice as long as they do on the rest of Li and the oxygen in the area is contaminated by fumes that would prove deadly to most breathing life. These fumes are let loose by massive wildfires that constantly rage across the area, yet never seem to exterminate all of the plant life. Legend has it that an advanced prothean 'tomb' lays deep within the area. Beware, hostile synths called the geth seem to be in constant search for something in the area. Perhaps whatever they're looking for could be an asset to the Life Sphere.
Walled City
Description: This strange fortress is designed more like an ancient prison on a scale far larger than any humanoids, with plenty of open plains filled with trees and shrubbery. Beware, the RedEye tribe, groups of T-Rex esque dinosaurs, calls the walled city home and will happily and violently devour visitors. You can sometimes find other dinosaurs lurking here, not even they can avoid the RedEyes hunger forever. Although it may seem impossible and dangerous, perhaps these powerful dinos could be turned into powerful allies under the right circumstances.
Aparoid Gate
Description: Once the famous Orbital Gate that orbited over Corneria, once the blast destroyed the planet it launched the Orbital Gate and everyone on board into a small pocket of Aparoids before landing on Li, which led to the Aparoids taking over the station and the Starvia Virus to take over the Aparoids. The area is highly affected by infected Aparoids to the point of the walls and floors of the former gate almost daily, and there are even rumors of a Infected Aparoid Queen wandering around the inner areas. Despite these problems, there are also rumors that there is a teleporter machine somewhere in the station that could give a chance of escaping the planet to another, better planet.
Floating Base Androsa
Description: The floating warship of Androsa is a inactive ship that used to be owned by the Venomian forces of Andross, that is currently stuck in a tar pit located close to the Sector X Crash Site. While the ship is fully functional and has various metals that could be used as resources, a combination of a very tall wall of Infected guarding the ship, the ship being held down by tar, among lots of other factors prevents the warship from being used to escape the planet. There is also a mysterious machine in the central room of the base that seems to be able to create wormholes, though the machine seems to be missing a few parts, and as such is unusable.
Devastated Port Town
Description: A once thriving and trade savvy town had been reduced to a small collection of skyscrapers and cruise ship shaped space crafts. The towers on their own act as gigantic mazes, though quite treacherous to enter. As some of the collapsed buildings show, they are likely to fall over themselves at a moment’s notice. This is a common site for looters due to the wealth of resources within both the ships and the trade centers. Visitors are warned though, a titanic, yet immobile, infected R.O.B. safeguards the area. Most attempts to destroy it only caused it to be rebuilt by the infected in the area.
