Speeding out onto the stadium floor, a familiar pink blur showed herself! Slowing down a bit, Amy began doing a circle for the crowd, waving as she went along. She was now wearing the Sunshine Stadium Champion's Belt around her waist, bouncing about in all its shiny glory.

Without warning, the champion's belt promptly slid over Amy's skirt and fell to her ankles, immediately tripping her and sending her rolling across the stadium. She landed a good dozen feet away on her bottom looking rather bewildered. After a moment, she seemed to clue into what had just happened and became quite flustered. "...Oh darnit. On second thought, I hope Sonic's the only person in the life sphere who didn't see that one. I knew this would happen..." Amy murmured rather lamely.

"...Ugh. Leave it to the one girl in the sisterhood that has no hips to win the champion's belt."
*Choking noises*
"Harsh~!"
"Woah!"
"Well I can't help it if it's the truth, now can I?"
"Well she's not human... Are you sure you want to go down this road in front of Valorie?"
"Wait, what?"
"*Giggle* I don't know what you mean. Valorie has quite large hips for her size~"

"Rather impressive for one such as yourself, but may I have the honor of training myself against you in battle?" a very blunt but gruff voice said from somewhere in the vicinity, though it was heard from within the pink hedgehog's mind via telepathy, which meant one thing... Mewtwo had come out to play today, and had no intention of making a racket with luck enhancers or any of that bull the Kremling krew had been handing out.

Ironically for Amy, this would be her first bout with a legendary pokemon; even moreso since Mewtwo was made by humans rather than by the god of all pokemon in Arceus, but this did not matter as Mewtwo paitently waited for the youngsters reply, and for the referee to come out of nowhere to start the fight, after all... Mewtwo did like a challenge and it would be rude to abuse a child in front of a live audience.

The crowd roared with applause, far more than usual in fact. Even the slightest gestures toward them made them fawn over whoever was in front of them. They ranged from fan girls and boys rocking their picket fences to easily amused creatures of immeasurably low intelligence, A.K.A. the usual Life Sphere citizen. Amidst their cries for bloodshed and an all-around good bout, were chants for their preferred fighter, the divide happening rather quickly. Some of the residents even fumbled their words and called Amy Sonic due to MC Ballyhoo’s general confusion for all things in the shape of a hedgehog.

Speaking of the well renown face of the Sunshine Stadium, the big lipped creature made his appearance by poking his head out from behind Raffine, though given his subtle motions, it was likely that he didn’t want to be seen. “I don’t see him… You know if you want to hide from sight, you might want to choose something larger to hide behind…”

“Shhhhhh, Big Top. He might hear us!” the MC loudly announced as he ducked back behind his hiding spot.

“I think he already saw us…” Big Top added as he tried to nudge Ballyhoo’s head to turn around. Once the reluctant referee twisted his head though, he was capable of seeing Lt Surge’s Electivire lurking within the shadows of one of the entrance halls. The hairy beast pointed to his eyes and then pointed back to Ballyhoo, in the ‘I’m watching you’ sort of gesture. He finished off his sign language by punching his fist into his other palm very slowly to get his point across.

MC Ballyhoo fled from his cover and immediately between the two fighters. The eccentric referee threw his arms into the air in a boastful manner to greet the contestants. “AH HA HA! Welcome to the Sunshine Stadium folks! Just by looking at the two of you, I know this’ll be a match that no one will ever forget! I mean, this will be our first title match! Champion versus new comer! Let’s not waste any time!” Ballyhoo announced in a rushed spree of words, his tiny beady eyes searching the stadium for Lt Surge’s Pokemon spies. Once he got what needed to be said out of the way, he instantly ran off with his lanky arms flailing behind him.

Without warning however, Mc Ballyhoo made his debut from a rather unexpected place! Clearly Raffine's humongous hair had looked like an excellent hiding place at the time. "...Oh, hello. Well if it isn't the Master of Catastrophes himself~" a mildly startled Raffine remarked. She ought to get used to being snuck up on, with her almost constant tunnel vision and all. Amy promptly waved in greetings, only for Ballyhoo to speed off and leave them both looking a little bewildered. Raffine promptly followed, backing off to give the fighters the space they needed. Amy, after understandably coming to terms with what had just happened, promptly decided that Ballyhoo was right. There was no time to waste! Conjuring a giant mallet out of mid-air in a shower of hearts and casually tossing it into the air for a moment before catching it, she flourished for the crowd and returned her attention to Mewtwo.

"My name's Amy. Let's put on a good show, alright~? The last guy I fought acted like he didn't even want to be here. Hehe~"

Without further ado, Amy announced her intention to begin fighting by shifting into a combative stance. She then promptly burst into a run, her hammer trailing not far behind her as she quickly closed the distance between herself and Mewtwo. She didn't quite wait to reach Mewtwo before drawing her hammer over her head and bringing it down, however. Hitting the ground, Amy promptly jumped and used the tension quickly being released from the now bent handle to springboard herself up into the air! She had just thrown herself above Mewtwo in an arc that left her posed to land on him! Stretching out her legs, Amy attempted to land on top of Mewtwo!

She then promptly attempted to kick off of Mewtwo from her newfound vantage point, driving him down to the ground with the remaining momentum from her jump.

Her jump of course would happen whether it was off of Mewtwo's face or the ground. Performing a heavy spin in the air, Amy began to spin her hammer round and round with great force. The handle bent around her body from the force being exerted on it, apparently quite elastic in composition, before being abruptly released and sent hurtling towards Mewtwo like a kinetic missile!

Mewtwo had an odd case when it came to ballyhoo, never meeting him before though hearing of him made the Ur-Example Legendary Pokemon think that the guy might be an oddball evolution of Mr. Mime.

But when the battle started, Mewtwo entered his combat phase, being that he was actually sitting on the ground, now at the height he was at when standing, he prepared to fight.

DEX ROLL A: 14{I am not sure if it was successful but I'm gonna say that the dodge wasn't because of how crummy my rolls tend to be.}
Mewtwo did indeed manage to attempt to dodge, but did not manage to get out of the way in time or even erect his bubble shield to negate some of the blow from the feet of a pink hedgehog.

DEX ROLL B: 11{I know this one is gonna hurt... Guess not.}
Mewtwo did however succeed in dodging the kick, calmly taking one step foreward and two steps back, no 100,000 Lbs. Sitting on his back as though he was waiting for the right moment to strike. Said moment came when Amy threw her hammer as a projectile at him...

And Mewtwo saw his chance to retaliate!

Mewtwo concentrated quite hard and with a sudden wave of psychic power that was CERTAINLY not like Silver using psychokinetic energy, Mewtwo immediately sent Amy's hammer carreening like a boomerang right back at her.

"not bad for a first time champion to manage to get the best of me like that, though it would have been wiser to avoid throwing something that could be sent back by a good move that can redirect thrown projectiles. Mewtwo said calmly, one could easily tell that Mewtwo was now going to put up a fight, as Amy did not disappoint him.

And as if on cue, Mewtwo then launched his assault in the form of a sphere of ghostly energy, hurling it at Amy with the force of a bullet shot from a revolver.

Mewtwo then surged foreward to attempt close quarter combat by using his tail to smack the pink hedgehog silly.

Mewtwo then attempted to do it again for good measure.

Mewtwo was getting fired up and hoped to show off a little more of his power on his next turn.

“AH HA HA! Of course, Big Top! It was all just a clever skit! Don’t you see the audience laughing!? There’s nothing to be afraid of! And certainly no militant gym leader currently trying to hunt us!”

“You assert yourself too much for there to be a hunt.”

“GAH! Lt Surge! What a pleasant surprise for our surprise co-host! We were waiting for you to show up!”

“…How’d he get in here?”

“Don’t be so rude, Big Top, we invited him!”

“Of course! Who else would have better battle prowess than the main referee of the old Sunshine Stadium!? He’ll surely add some enticing commentary! This is a very intensive match after all! Our first title defending match! Stay tuned folks because this one is going to be exhilarating!”

((Uuuuh... Just a bit of confusion about the attack confusion. A while back counter-esque attacks got really out of control and the new balancing rule made to keep them in check was that counters are required to beat the offending attack roll in order to be successful. You did roll accuracy for the counter, but it didn't beat the piko piko hammer attack and was still treated as a successful counter when it shouldn't have been.

Oh, and although Amy did not happen to get haunted this turn I also noticed that I couldn't find any information about what the haunt status does on Mewtwo's profile. That just might become important later. Really uh, a re-approval of Mewtwo's profile is going to be necessary at some point.))



Amy's hammer would abruptly shatter into a shower of pink hearts that whipped around Amy's quilts rather stylishly instead of pounding her in her face. She flourished amongst them, sriking a pose that said she was proud of herself. It seemed that her ability to manipulate the hammer's existence might make it a little difficult to use it against her. One might assume they'd need to hit Amy before she could even react if they wanted to pull a stunt like that off. What she wasn't expecting, of course, was for a ball of shadow energy to come flying at her with that much speed! Woah!

Amy twisted her body backwards and threw herself to the ground, landing on her back in such a way that the shadow ball ever so narrowly managed to skim past her without scoring a hit. There had been less than an inch of forgiveness to that dodge and for a moment it might even look like it actually had hit her. Sweet Sonic's Chilidogs, that was way too close for comfort! She could feel the force of the attack tugging at her body as it passed by, leaving her momentarily breathless. From the corner of her eyes she could see Mewtwo quickly hurtling towards her, a phenomenon that could only be described as worrying considering she was still on the ground. In hindsight though, he looked like he was a little off-balance, giving her plenty of opportunities to dodge the incoming slap with his tail.

Curling into a ball from her grounded position Amy proceeded to bounce once and then twice, juking the second strike by first performing a very small bounce to dodge the first and then a much larger bounce to throw off the second's aim off. She now hung in the air at the apex of her jump a couple of feet above Mewtwo's head. She had made a point to match his momentum with her second bounce, as it was crucial for her the counter attack she had planned. Uncurling, Amy promptly righted herself and attempted to land on Mewtwo's shoulder blades! Don't look up! ...Or do. There's probably something important up there, ...like a hammer.

Amy had finally found the time to reply to Mewtwo's words as she performed her acrobatics. Sometimes she felt like she was too polite in the arena, waiting for her opponents to finish speaking. She hadn't even had a moment to think before that shadow ball had nearly beaned her in her snout! As previously foreshadowed though, she wasn't giving any pause to her fighting. A new piko piko hammer had materialized in her hands and she was raising it over her head as she fell and spoke, drawing it back with the aid of air resistance in an effort to bring it down with a loud crack upon Mewtwo's back!

If Mewtwo were hit, the knockback from Amy's hammer would likely slam him to the ground and send him bouncing back up into the air rather comically, right back towards the hedgehog waiting for just such an opportunity. Attempting to capitalize on the brutal force of her attack, Amy drew in her legs and attempted to catch Mewtwo on the rebound, landing on him and violently stomping him back onto the ground!

Assuming she could pull off that rather brutal looking combo without a hitch, the tiny hedgehog girl would then capitalize on her advantageous position by languidly stepping off Mewtwo's back and performing a pirouette. This was no mere flourish, however. She was actually performing a wide wing, the handle of her hammer bending around her body as she pun like a very flexible baton. As she came back around, she extended her arms and attempted to smack Mewtwo across the stadium, as if she were playing a very violent game of golf.

Mewtwo took the full force of all those attacks, but hitting the nintendium wall via hammer hit knocked the wind out of him like you wouldn't believe, taking a moment to catch his breath, he remembered that he was still just a pokemon, not born from Arceus but made by human hands, he was swallowing his pride and fighting quite fairly but his skills might not be enough... But only if he stayed in his base form.

Mewtwo then stood up, his eyes still focused on his opponent, who was quite clearly dominating, though it was only a matter of time before tables turn. "Most impressive for one such as yourself, but quite uncerimoniously... I think it is time for you to learn something about pokemon. Back when there was nothing but a blank void of nothingness, a lone pokemon created all pokemon that inhabited the world, yet it was humans who would attempt to play God in kanto, resulting in me being the only one you see made by humanity, a testament to both their greatest achievement and their hubris. I alone am stronger than all normal pokemon, but against the power of creation, I would be powerless... Except I can now utilise the power that allows me to exceed even Arceus by use of a Mega Stone, though I have a 4 turn time limit with this power, I think it will be enough just to show you what I mean. But this isn't the time nor the place, and your RPer needn't worry." Mewtwo said calmly, quite possibly leaning on the 4th wall in the process of unleashing a fully functional disable attack to knock out Amy's stomp for a brief moment due to eye contact and no held physical shield to block it!

Mewtwo would then up the ante by attempting to make Amy take some confusion-based chip damage.

Mewtwo finished his combo as a shorter one, considering that the use of more than three moves invoked a haste penalty, but this did not mean he could not appeal to the audience for comedic effect though!

Maverick Hunter Zero Final Smashes are not allowed in this match as Mari has indicated in the thread description (apologies for the mix up as that would not be visible to you on mobile, I will attempt to make variant rules clearer in the future). And yes, Mewtwo was accepted long before Mari was around, that does not necessarily mean that he is up to date on site standards as Confusion operates in a way that is similar to counter moves which were banned from play unless they had a specified roll check, which Confusion failed its roll but was treated as though it didn't fail in your post. In addition to that, Haunt is not a specified status effect nor does Mewtwo's app say anything about what it does, so that would need to be clarified for future reference.

A rather ecstatic audience member felt a connection between themselves and Amy. Through the blood, sweat, and heat of the battle, they reach into their pocket in order to give the pink hedgehog a little boost to help them turn the tide into their favour. What they pulled out was a feather and they lobbed it at Amy Rose. Amy is now under the effects of the Mystical Feathers!

One could just see the terror Amy felt, ever oblivious to the fourth wall shattering around her. While she debated whether she was having a stroke and which raggedy dress would look best on her immortal soul, she was too distracted to take notice of what Mewtwo was doing. Before she knew it she was being launched across the stadium. A yelp escaped the pink hedgehog as she found herself sailing through the air. She flailed her limbs wildly, only to discover that... she had six limbs? A flutter of ethereal feathers Wh-What in Eggman's cheeky grin? When did she get wings?! Performing a flip to right herself, Amy used those wings to stop herself in mid-air and throw off Mewtwo's followup attack. Unless he could see the future, she doubted he had predicted that. Balling her fists, Amy--... What was she supposed to do with these again? ...She could have sworn she was going to do something with these hands. Hug him? No... That's not right. Whatever.

(Oh that nerd! He tricked me! He was just using a bunch of big words to distract and confuse me! ...I'll have to do double time to make up for it. I can't let him embarass me in front of Sonic.) Yeah well--I don't need to hold back! I'm competing to be the best! That way Sonic will have to love me! Speaking of which, I know just what to do with these wings...

Letting herself fall back to the ground, Amy promptly curled into a ball and began to rather violently accelerate, spinning out in the dirt and kicking up a cloud of dirt behind her. For a moment it would seem she wasn't actually going anywhere, a spinning pink and red blur. Two things then proceeded to happen in rapid succession. First, the ground underneath Amy caught on fire. Second, she straightened her spines to give her some better traction and get herself moving, abruptly launching at Mewtwo with a speed so great that a tiny sonic boom was created around her, ripping up the arena floor a bit before dissipating. A trail of flames was left in her wake.

Amy then attempted to plow through Mewtwo, rapidly jabbing him with her spines as she soared past. She arced around the arena, using her newfound wings to minimize her contact with the ground as she moved. She was moving so quickly that she was now able to get behind Mewtwo while he was still being thrown back from her earlier attacks and attempt to intercept him mid-knockback for a devastating combo! You may feel free to imagine a bunch of pinball bumper noises as she knocks Mewtwo back and forth.

For her finishing move, Amy materialized a piko piko hammer in her hands in a shower of hearts that wound up trailing behind her in the flames. She then took advantage of her wings and performed a flip in mid-air, attempting to bring the hammer down over Mewtwo's back as she literally leap-frogged him. If it hit, it was liable to send him flying into the stadium wall.
