Hey all, G&W here. There are quite a few new faces (err, names?) around here, so you might not know me as well as others around. For sake of brevity, I am the self-appointed elder Admin of this website, meaning that I ran the place for… roughly 3-4 years. I’m not around as much anymore, which if you’re looking for my reasonings for that I will go into more detail below. This is acting both as a site related poll and update thread of my current standings around here crammed into one.
First things first, I’ll be breaking in the new year by bringing back something I used to do around the site, which is weekly polls. These don’t necessarily mean that the staff are currently considering changes to these aspects of the board, but rather it is getting a gauge for how the members feel about certain things so that we can steer more that way when we do talk about these things.
The first poll, as you can see by the title above, is about our current system of rolling and stats. It was a mechanic that I introduced to the site and considering that my reign has been over for quite some time, it wouldn’t bother me one way or the other what happens to it, but that being said, I don’t know how people feel about it now and whether or not it has just become a thing that people tolerate because they like the concept of the site itself. Again though, this is just a gauge of interest, what people do with this information in the future is entirely up to them.
And by the system, I am generally talking about die rolling, stats, and damage percentages. If none of the categories satisfy your views on it, perhaps leave a comment about it, but here is not the place for in depth negotiations and arguments of what is better for the site.

Putting this into spoilers because I might ramble as I tend to do and I would prefer to not intimidate people with walls of text.
Anyways, so I have been more active around the site than I have been for the last little while. As usual, I don’t want it to seem as though I’m coming back full time because I don’t have the intentions to, I just usually like to clean things up whenever I have a block of time available to me and join in on staff conversations that need a bit more energy behind them. My role around here will mostly be maintenance related if I am around because while it might be fun for me to join in on missions, they are a long time commitment that I don’t think I would be capable of fulfilling. I might have time to do it right now, but I’m back at school next week, I have a job, I’m still in the works of editing a novel I wrote over NaNoWriMo, and a long time buddy of mine has reopened their RP site and generally speaking I’m more needed there in order to get them off the ground again than I am here. I’m not saying I have better offers, but this place is functioning relatively fine without me poking and prodding it.
At the moment though, I am going to continue my tasks around here. At the moment, I am updating the Wiki to include event and plot important missions so that newer members have easier access to reference some of our older threads and know what happened in them so that they can understand where the plot is currently headed (who Black Shadow is, how the leaders were captured, etc.). As a relic of that era and being the head writer for most of that stuff, I’m best suited for the job.
Outside of that though, I have my places where I might post things from time to time. I sometimes feel the need to write little in character things, mostly regarding Mr. Game & Watch, and so I may or may not post a scene or two in Just Another Day
As for out of character stuff, I usually post things in the GW is Alive! thread. If something big comes up with me, I will probably post it there. Whether that be me releasing a book or doing something stupid that causes me to drift away from the site. Probably won’t be anything site related, unless I publish something like a small collection of stories from SSB: LI, but eh who knows?
