So as you may or may not have heard near the end of my poll regarding Nether Plains' Future, we're current exploring the idea of fleshing out some of our boards with sub-boards representing other iconic locations. Now that we've talked about it a little more, we're ready for suggestions on locations to add. Below will be a list of all the locations that have passed judgement and been found (potentially) worthy so far. Do note that this is only for adding sub-locations to existing locations. You also do not necessarily need to restrict yourself to the parent location's series. Here is the criteria you should be using when suggesting a location.

Priority #1 - Distinctness from the parent location: So for example, a sub-location in Mushroom Ruins should not simply be another part of Mushroom Ruins. Toad Town for example would be a sub-location we'd have to deny for not being distinct from it's parent location, as that is already the primary setting.

Priority #2 - Roleplay Opportunities: Locations suggested should provide a wide variety of potential missions that could be hosted there. If a location seems more like an individual mission gimmick that caters itself to one specific type of mission, it's probably better off staying that way rather than becoming a sub-location. The same goes for locations that characters can't logically normally access.

Priority #3 - Iconicness: Locations should be representative to the series, as opposed to being stuff that has been randomly made up because it sounds fun. Making your own stuff up is great, don't get me wrong, but because of the issue of clutter we probably won't be accepting custom sub-boards at this time.

If you feel that a location is a weak choice or have a better alternative, feel free to suggest those as well. Description: A ruined district of withered mansions that is and was known both for its large number of ghosts. In the skies above it, the a celestial body known as the Dark Moon has a pacifying effect on ghosts. This could be a civilized habitat for ghosts, perhaps a domain over which King Boo can rule, that like everywhere else can constantly fall into trouble.
Role in Parent Series: "Evershade Valley is the main setting of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. It is a valley separate from the Mushroom Kingdom and is known both for its large number of ghosts and as the location of the Dark Moon, a celestial body that has a pacifying effect on ghosts. The valley itself is separated into different areas, with each containing a mansion inhabited by ghosts.

Sometime after the events of Luigi's Mansion, Professor E. Gadd established a laboratory in the valley to continue his studies on ghosts. While there, E. Gadd obtains the help of the ghosts from the various mansions in the valley for his studies thanks to the Dark Moon's pacifying effects. One night, however, King Boo destroys the Dark Moon and scatters its shards across the valley. With the Dark Moon gone, the ghosts become hostile, which forces E. Gadd to recruit Luigi in order to capture the ghosts and restore peace to the valley."

Name of Sub-Location: Distortion World
Parent Location: Pokémon Cove
Description: In the far reaches of the Pokémon Cove lies a warp hole that leads to a different dimension. A place where time doesn't flow, space makes no sense and gravity's all over the place. Signs of life vary extremely, however one thing is certain. This dimension inhabits a terrifying monster that is known to control antimatter. Engaging it may be proven to be extremely foolish.
Role in Parent Series: "The Distortion World is the name given to an alternate dimension in Pokémon Platinum and the true home of the Legendary Pokémon Giratina. It is first accessed when reaching the Spear Pillar, the summit of Mt. Coronet, to stop Team Galactic's plot to control Dialga and Palkia. When the lake guardians are unable to handle both of them, Giratina comes and swoops on Cyrus to stop him from destroying both worlds. After Cyrus is taken away by Giratina, the player must follow it and navigate the area with the help of Mesprit, Azelf, Uxie, and Cynthia."

Name of Sub-Location: Ta-Doon-Da Castle
Parent Location: Madou Village
Description: Once home to a bookish crimson demon, this abandoned castle is now home to the starvia-infected fauna. With cobwebs amok and the shelves ravaged, one may be able to find lost records, provided the books themselves have not been destroyed to time, the monsters, or even stolen. Dangers lie in its poorly-lit corridors, but more is laden in the arduous climb, as it sits atop the Zig-Zag peak.
Role in Parent Series: Final area of Fever 1, implied to be the former home of Strange Klug before getting sealed according to Fever 2 lore.
