This thread is a follow-up to the Mari's Location Suggestion thread, where Primp Town won a poll among three of my creative location suggestions. Primp Town is described as followed:
However, another idea occurred to me. Primp Town is a great location and all, but there's a very similar, better fleshed out location from Madou Monogatari, Puyo Puyo's predecessor, that could be used in its place. One from an actual RPG game that has been translated into English that people can actually play if they want. One that I've been streaming for the site for a while, namely the world of Madou Monogotari: Big Kindergarten Kids.
The benefits of Primp Town are as followed:
Here are the benefits of Madou Village, the other location.
So without further ado, I'd like to suggest a new location!
And here are some notes I took while playing Madou Monogatari that are basically just one big lore dump, with most of the notes being related to locations that are near the village. I'm posting these notes mostly for the moderators benefits, so that they can know things.
Primp Town from Puyo Puyo Fever for the Western Hemisphere
Once home to a bustling eastern-urban town, Primp was devastated by the starvia and is now overrun with monsters. It is rumored that the Primp Magic School may contain books and artifacts that would be of great benefit to young, upcoming and senior magic users alike. A sturdily built, enormous eldritch tower lies not far from the town, home to countless mazelike floors that seem to have been designed deliberately to make the tower difficult to navigate. Rumors abound about what the tower may hold, but none are verifiable.

The benefits of Primp Town are as followed:
- Unique setting: There aren't really any eastern-urban towns available on Li right now. The eldritch tower mentioned, Satan's Tower, is also a unique location being a mazelike medieval dungeon crawler locale.
- Would give location representation to one of the most highly represented franchises on Li player character wise.
- Lots of incentives to visit. Magical artifacts, ghost towns, towers with promises of eldritch riches. You can do a lot of things with this.
Here are the benefits of Madou Village, the other location.
- Unique setting: There aren't really any eastern-rural towns available on Li right now. Satan's Tower is also a unique location, being a mazelike medieval dungeon crawler locale.
- There are a lot of unique locations near Madou Village that have been fleshed out unlike Primp Town, because it comes from an RPG instead of a puzzle game. For example, the Dark and Light forests, Satan's Villa., Elephant King's Palace, Shade Well, the Valley of Death, Sage's Mountain, Ancient Village, Dragon's Graveyard...

- Easier to research and write for.

Madou Village from Madou Monogatari for the Western Hemisphere
Once home to a bustling eastern-rural town, Madou Village was devastated by the starvia and is now overrun with monsters. These monsters tend to swarm the village at night. It is rumored that the Magic School inside the village might contain valuable books and artifacts covering magical topics. A sturdily built, enormous eldritch tower lies not far off from the village in Satan's Villa. It is home to countless mazelike floors that seem to have been designed deliberately to make the tower difficult to navigate, leaving it unknown just what lays in wait for adventurers brave enough to scale it.
And here are some notes I took while playing Madou Monogatari that are basically just one big lore dump, with most of the notes being related to locations that are near the village. I'm posting these notes mostly for the moderators benefits, so that they can know things.
Sage's Mountain
Hard to get to via the dense forest surrounding it... There's an underground cavern underneath it that can be entered via the Devil's Door. The Devil's Door is often guarded, however.
The Dragon's Lake / Dragon's Graveyard
Water flows beneath the Sage's Mountain and has formed a large pond. It is said that Dragons live there. Within, there is a strange place where bones that seem to be from dragons are buried. It is called the Dragons' Graveyard.
Forest of Light
A holy forest. A kingdom of frogs dwells in a lake within, led by a king that can speak English. The forest and the frogs within are protected by a foot monster named Sukiyapodes. It's perpetually daytime here thanks to the power of a sentient orb called the light orb. The daylight keeps monsters away.
Forest of Darkness
An unholy forest. Satan's Villa and the Shade Well dwell deep within it. The forest is in perpetual nighttime thanks to the power of a sentient orb called the dark orb. The night attracts monsters.
Satan's Villa
That's the villa of someone called Satan. It's been there for a long time...
Shade Well
Located in the Dark Forest. A giant catfish is rumored to have lived there a long time ago. The catfish loves water cucumbers.
Ancient Ruins of the Magical Elephant King's Palace
It seems the ruins have been there for many, many years. According to legend, the ruins are the historical grave of a magical elephant king who lived there. Their insides are massive, mazelike and filled with booby traps.
Valley of Death
Where the monster known as "The Harpy" lived. This valley is home to many an undead creature and spirits, some more hostile than others.
Ancient Village
It was inhabited by intelligent creatures who far predated humanity.
Fireflies
As their name suggests, these are strange insects whose bodies emit light. Their eggs are more beautiful than the Dark Orb and they sell for quite a high price. They are mainly found in the Dragons' Graveyard. It is said by the Dragon family that the fireflies are messengers who guide their deceased to heaven. For that reason, firefly eggs are protected by the eldest dragon.
Mandrakes
Warning!! When you want to pull up a Mandrake you must pour Momomo Wine on it!!
Drops of Light
Glittering white drops that are liked by Flower Fairies. It's possible to make them if you have a leaf from a Mandrake and a dark flower.
