Despite how utterly unnecessary that was, Luigi's fireballs successfully burned the vines into ashes. Poison Ringo got a little nervous. "Hm...on second thought, maybe I should--Whoa!" She dodged the Ice Missile. "P-please settle down. I was merely...testing you!" She tried to reason with the trio. Thankfully, Ecolo was willing to listen.

"Testing us? But why?" The blob asked. The 'wicked' witch took a deep breath and began to explain the problem.

"This entire place is an illusion. It should not exist. This was made as a result of a huge paranormal force resting on the top of this tower. Since you three arrived here specifically to remove said problem, I decided to test if your are capable. I must admit, you have a chance. Rather shabby display, but I think you three can do it."

Silence from Ecolo, until he noticed something. How did she knew about their mission? Could that mean...?

"Wait, are you the mission issuer?!"

Poison Ringo giggled. "...Maybe so." She muttered before disappearing in a purple cloud. Ecolo looked to his teammates in confusion.

"Uuh...up we go?" He asked.

“Ay wait! Don’t-a go! What about-a the par-a-normal forces causing all of-a this?” Luigi pleased to the vanishing Ringo for answers. “Please-a tell us about-a it! Give us-a cheat-a-sheet or Something! Come-a-back!”
Nothing Luigi could do or say could stop Poison Ringo’s leave. It was just him, Ecolo and Rundas again.
“And-a to think I'm-a thought I was just-a going to fix-a busted pipe tonight.” Luigi sighed wistfully.

(“Is it too late to turn around and leave this to Rundas and Ecolo?”) Luigi asked himself, looking back at the way he came.
(“…No. No! A good plumber never leaves a bolt unscrewed or a sink still dripping.”) Luigi pounded his fist in his hand. ("And a Mario Brother never leaves a castle unconquered, a princess unretrieved or a day unsaved!”) Luigi took a deep breath and turned back around.

“I guess I’m-a bust a ghost instead!” Luigi fastened his cap in a display of confidence.
“This-a whole castle is an illusion?” Luigi pondered out loud. “Why does that sound-a so familiar?”
“I’m-a guess it’s up-a we go!” Luigi marched toward the tower, secretly hoping his senses will catch up and stop him before it was too late.

Rundas was preparing to fire another missile at this witch when she asked them to settle down. Rundas wouldn't have paid this any mind othewise, but Ecolo had stopped attacking and was listening to her.

"An illusion..." Rundas thought to himself  "It looks real enough to me, but then again, that doesn't mean much of anything" He was about to ask Ringo to explain, but she disappeared in a cloud of purple smoke.

"I guess we don't have a choice but to go up" Rundas answered Ecolo

"Okay then, up we go!" Ecolo said, floating upwards to the next floor. The first they would see on the new floor would be a very large corridor leading to what seemed to be an arena. If the trio payed attention, they could hear...music?

"...This tune sounds familiar." Ecolo said, pondering to himself. Once the trio got to the arena, they would find...blocks laying around? Wait...Ecolo recognized those shapes...!

"Tetrominos?! Here?!"

Yes, indeed! Anyone knowledgeable of these pieces' legacy would find them gracing their presence. Of course, such majesty would be soon be overridden by a panic attack as the pieces tried to stomp on them!

Ecolo dodged the Tetrostomp by a close mile. "Wowie, now there's a problem we will have to handle. Haunted Tetrominos." Ecolo said as he cast Swindle at one of the pieces.

“The last-a time I'm-a had to deal with-a something like-a this, I'm-a won-a mansion in-a contest I'm-a didn’t-a even enter.” Luigi recalled an anecdote on their way up. “The building was-a all an illusion, but-a the coinses I'm-a found in it were real!" Luigi cackled with dollar signs in his eyes.
Luigi’s reminiscing would soon be interrupted by the echo of…music? Peppy music coming through a corridor.


“That’s not-a Korobeiniki..." Luigi pondered, trying to guess the song on his way through the corridor.
“But it-a may as well-a be Korobeiniki!" Luigi marveled at the Tetrominoes lying around the arena. Luigi couldn’t admire the blocks for long, as they collectively rose up and tried to squash him and his comrades.

But he wasn't quick enough, and was pinned down by Tetromino I.

“Ay! They always said-a Tetris would haunt-a you, but this is-a ridiculouso!"
Unable to run away and flee as he would in his right mind, Luigi had no choice but to stay and fight back against the falling blocks. Luigi was used to hitting blocks from bellow to obtain coins and items all the time on his other adventures, so hit the blocks from bellow was what he chose to do this time.

Rundas was listening intently to Luigi's story when he heard music echoing from down the hall. When they arrived there, the strangest sight met Rundas' eyes.Four Tetris blocks. Before he could get a good look, however, the blocks rose up and attempted to squash him.

Fortunately for both Rundas and Luigi both Tetrominos that bodied them were thrown back by their attacks. The ignored Tetromino T started to spin like crazy and tried to steer itself onto the three.

“Y’know, something about that song always did give me the spooks.” Luigi panted as he successfully got Tetromino I off of him. He couldn’t catch his breath for long as he had to limbo out of the way of Tetromino T.

He wasn’t fast enough and he was hit and spin around involuntarily like a top.
Taking this spinning mechanic as inspiration, Luigi decided to fight spin with spin and spin to win.
He tried to separate the merging Tetromino blocks.

Luckily, the Ice Missile was enough to get the Tetromino off of Rundas. He got up and was dusting himself off when suddenly, one of the Tetrominos tarted spinning like mad and swept towards him!

Rundas managed to duck under the spinning piece. As it whirled over his head, he carefully aimed his blaster at it and fired from below. "Freeze, blockheads!" Rundas yelled

Whilst all Tetrominos had been hot with some harsh attacks, Tetromino T suffered the most throughout. Said Tetris piece ended up meeting it's demise, exploding into single motionless squares. The three other Tetris pieces stood in silence before Tetromino I shifted to it's horizontal state. Tetromino S shifted to vertical position and combined with I in it's tip whilst I shifted to horizontal and covered the rest of I. The three Tetrominos fused together to become a solid combination.

The wall of Tetrominos attempted to run down Rundas!

"Anyone has a healing move or somethin'?" Ecolo asked Luigi and Rundas. "We might be in need of one!" He commented as he tried to slow the Tetromino combo down. "Fake Speech!"

Luigi’s first impulse was to shoot fire balls up at it.

“I’m-a got some mushrooms, but they only make-a you big or small, not-a heal your health!” Looking up from his pocket Luigi saw Ecolo using His patented Luigi Cyclone.
“Ey! That’s-a My technique! Give it-a Back!” he complained.

“Okidoki, wise guy...” Luigi squat down to charge his Green Missile “Copy This!”
He launched himself at the block wall with the intent of breaking it apart.

The Tetris Amalgamation got hit by almost all attacks (sorry, Rundas' first Ice Beam), but unfortunately, it did not get frozen. Ecolo was kind of disappointed that no one had any healing powers, but he did enjoy getting a rise out of Luigi just because he borrowed. "Geez, Loogey, why are you so mad? You should be glad I copied it, 'cause I copy only the more interesting moves!" Ecolo claimed. "That move you just did looks pretty cool. I'll copy it later!"

Suddenly, the wall of Tetris pieces started shooting...projections at them? What?? It sounds like someone lost ideas on how to make an Tetris enemy interesting! ..........oh wait

(Everyone! To dodge the evil Tetris projections, roll 12+ DEX. Getting hit has you receiving 8%, but has 50% chance of making you sick.)

“And ev-a-ry body say’s I’m-a the copy cat.” Luigi sighed, recovering from his head on assault on the Tetrominos. He didn’t have much time to recover though, as the Tetris pieces started shooting holograms at them!

Rundas was aiming his blaster to shoot the blocks again when the blocks shot out some strange projectiles. Unable to dodge in time, Rundas was struck by them. he wasn't hurt to badly, but...

In fact, Rundas felt so bad that he couldn't aim his blaster properly. Right now, he just felt like sitting down and waiting for the world to stop spinning at Mach 10
