The blob kept looking around until he noticed a faint marking on a carpet. Once he pulled the carpet out, lo and behold, there was a trapdoor over there. Wow, what surprise! I wouldn't expect that!

"Wowie, Luigi, never knew you were a psychic! Or did you just break the fourth wall?" Ecolo asked.

Ecolo floated to the trapdoor and tried to open it...

And his burst of strength was just enough to open it! If one would look down on the trapdoor, they'd see nothing but a void of pitch black down there. Ecolo stared at it for a moment, then turned to his allies.

"So...anyone wanna go first? Be my guest!" Ecolo challenged them.

"The fourth-a wha?” Luigi could only scratch his head at Ecolo's implications.
Luigi barely peeked at the darkness inside the trap door before covering both eyes in a Nope.

"Hmm yes someone should-a go down-a there.” Luigi nodded sheepishly, feigning agreement. "But-a who?" Luigi started waving his finger in a clockwise circle between the three of them. "Eenie-a Meanie-a Minnie-Not It." Luigi folded his arms, firm in his decision that he wasn't going down there first.

Rundas was looking at one of the many paintings on the wall, wondering if there was something behind them when he heard Ecolo flipping u p the carpet.

" A trapdoor? Excellent!" Rundas exclaimed. He heard Ecolo challenge someone to go in first. Rundas was just about to say something when Luigi nervously counted himself out. "Wuss" Rundas mumbled under his breath, and then " I'll go down first, but I'll need a light source. Luigi, your rather good with fire. Care to light up the place a little?"

"Guess who also has fire?" Ecolo soon jumped into the conversation. "Liar!"  He chanted as he brought up a blue fireball to his hand. "I'll go first, Rundy! You keep watch on Loogey because he is afraid of spooky ghooosts~" the blob said, using Luigi's voice. A few moments of awkward silence later, he floated to the trapdoor and he began to float down at a slow pace, giving his allies a chance to follow him.

Unfortunately for those whom lacked any method of flying (which would probably be both Luigi and Rundas), they would find themselves falling down, because there was no actual ladder to climb on.

"What cruel twist, wouldn't you say?" Ecolo casually said before diving further into the blackness.

Before any bones could be shattered for life, the two folks would have their falls broken by a soft, squishy sofa; No damage bonus or anything, just a sofa casually saving their lives. Ecolo floated down to the two. "So how was the skydiving? Hehehe~" He joked before floating a bit away from the two. "Well, let's get to work and check over this trapdoor place!"

The place they found themselves in....did not make any sense. At all. It was a weird purple void with various floating islands, all of them spinning around (really slowly) a huge central island, hosting a big tower. One couldn't say exactly how many floors it had, however the place was definitely veeery weird.

"You know, this place doesn't belong here. Must be ghost magic at work." Ecolo said as he suddenly pointed at the tower. "And that ghost magic is coming from over there!"

The island hosting the tower wasn't that far of a drop. In fact, a simple jump would suffice for them to reach it, fortunately.

“In-a fact I do.” Luigi replied hoping to compensate for his cowardice. He activated a green fireball and spun it in his hand, making a literal hand-made torch.
“Fire’s a plumber’s best-a friend.” He quoted his brother. Luigi was ready to go down into the pit to illuminate it when Ecolo decided to grandstand with his own blue fire instead. Luigi could only pout, unimpressed at Ecolo’s impression of him. He was forced to quickly pat his shoulder out as he accidentally set himself on fire.

In the frantic shuffle to put himself out, Luigi stepped right through the trap door.
One long dark screaming fall later, Instead of losing a life at the bottom ot the abys, Luigi landed softly on a couch. Just a couch. All of that just to land on a couch.
“Insert2 coins to continue.” Luigi non-sequitured. Luigi wrestled with his nerves to get off the couch to continue onward in the dim blue darkness. Looking around, he wasn’t sure if his head wasn’t still spinning.

How did all of this fit under the castle. “Did we fall through a painting?” Luigi could only rationalize.
“Welp, if it’s platforming you want, it’s platforming Luigi’s gonna give to ya!” Luigi said confident in his jumping abilities. Whether this was genuine confidence or he was still loopy from the fall was hard to discern.

Luigi got a bit of a running start, and with dexterity, leg strength and nimbleness you could recognize in a Mario brother, Luigi jumped over the gap toward the island hosting the tower.

“Hey I actually did it!” Luigi realized what he just did. He freaked out and took another look at his surroundings upon realizing where he jumped to.

Rudas watched as not only Luigi, but also Ecolo activated flames in their hands to use as torches. Rundas shrugged and started to climb down the trapdoor, but since there wasn't a ladder, it was more of a fall.

ARRRRRRRGH!" Rundas yelled as the lack of a ladder caused him to rapidly dive down the hole. After a few seconds of shock, though, he regained his senses and managed to flip himself upright. He then started Ice Surfing straight down, turning his fall into a controlled descent.

Reaching the bottom, Rundas landed in front of a large sofa that seemed to serve as a landing pad. What Rundas was more entranced by was the bizzare scenery that was the room where they landed.


"By the everburning fires of Bryyo, what the hell is going on here?" Rundas exclaimed, stunned by the utter craziness that the room before him displayed. He heard Ecolo describe it as ghostly shenanigans, and Rundas most definitely agreed, unable to find any other suitable explanation.


 Seeing the tower that Ecolo was pointing to, Rundas took a running start, and jumped to it. Unsurprisingly,  he made it to the other side without trouble. "Now what actually is in here?" Rundas asked.

Ecolo didn't need to do so much as jump to get to the tower. He floats! Surely, he could hover down to the center island harmlessly. And that was what he kind of did. Ecolo landed in front of the two doors. He turned to his allies as he put his blobby hands on the doorknobs.

"I am going to predict the future and say Luigi's going to let a girlish scream after we enter the tower!" Ecolo joked as he opened the door and went inside.

The inside of the tower didn't seem too bad at first, just a generic wooden floor with stone walls and a creepy statue on the middle of it...when suddenly...high heels could be heard. And a voice as well...

"Why, hello, mysterious travelers. You look dead tired and hungry..."

"Thankfully...I have something to satiate your hunger. Fufufu..."

"Ringie, is that y--" Ecolo started, only to have his face fall in disappointment. "Ooohh, waait, you're not Ringie. You just look suspiciously similar."

"I'm sorry to dash your hopes, sir, but I am not just Ringo. They call me...Poison Ringo."

Luigi wasn’t alone for long at the base of the tower, for soon he was joined by Rundas and Ecolo.
p“What? That’s-a Preposterous!” Luigi scoffed in denial at Ecolo’s orediction.
“I’m-a Not going to scream like a-AAAAAAHAAAAA!
-CHU!” Luigi sneezed as the door opened.
“Dusty.” Luigi sniffled before entering the tower.

To say that the ominous atmosphere of the inside of the tower did not make Luigi uncomfortable would be untrue. Still, as much as it made him tremble and shiver, he made a promise to himself that he wouldn’t scream like a girl.

Luigi gasped, but did not scream, at the sound of footsteps and a new voice in the tower. He sighed in relief and wiped his brow to find out that it was just a girl with a fruit basket.
“Eh, two out of-a the three.” Luigi shrugged at Ringo’s assumption. “Nice-a hat.”

Snickering to himself once again, this time a Ecolo's joke, Rundas entered the tower  He looked around the  interior, and so far it was rather underwhelming, especially compared to outside. "This looks normal to me" he said "Standard castle dungeon look...although that statue is creeping me out."

Rundas heard the sound of heels on the stone, and turned to find a woman in purple standing there, offering him some food. "Well, I am kind of hungry, so don't mind if I do." Rundas reached for the fruit in her basket, but stopped himself when he heard the woman introduce herself as...Poison Ringo?

"Suddenly I don't feel as hungry anymore" Rundas said nervously.

“Really now? You should try it. These apples are so good, you'l be left...breathless. Ufufu...” Poison Ringo declared to Rundas. Ecolo looked mildly uncomfortable by this alternate Ringo, seeing that it looked almost the exact same Ringie he knew and loved, except she was a wicked witch that sold weird-looking apples.

“Could you drop off that shady slogan? It won't sell ya any of these.” Ecolo stated, which net a very...curious reaction from Poison Ringo. Her unsettling smile grew a tidbit and she giggled.

"Well then...Guess I have to make you eat them by force!" Poison Ringo said as vines started to emerged from below the trio.

Ecolo saw the vines coming and floated away from them. "Loogey! Rundy! Watch out! Someone's aaaaangrrry!" Ecolo tried to warn the two others.

"Here's a little taste test~"  Poison Ringo mocked as she suddenly let out maniacal laughter while throwing three poison apples at the group.

((All right, guys. Posion Ringo is forcing you up for an unorthodox poison apple taste test. You can dodge them by rolling 10+ DEX.  Otherwise, you'll have 65% chance of being poisoned.))

Ecolo swiftly dodged the poison apple and begun retaliating. "Liar!" Ecolo chanted as he threw a fireball.

“Aw poison just-a means it'll make-a you shrink." Luigi shrugged dismissively.
“The big-a mamas eat-a that stuff to lose-a weight all of the time.” he patted his much-leaner-than-his-brother tummy.
Luigi’s nonchalant demeanour wasn’t to last, however.
“Hoo!" Luigi gasped like an old man as suddenly a net of vines grew up out of the ground under him.

Green met green however, as Luigi was tangled up in Poison Ringo’s vines.
“Ay! What’s a matter for you? We don’t-a want your apples witch! Let-a go of me and-a my friends! Help-a!" Luigi begged.
Luigi struggled and squirmed in the vine net, trying in vain to untangle himself.

Thinking quickly as he saw Poison Ringo throw the apples, Luigi reached back and pulled forth, not another vine, but the nozzle of his Poultergust 5000. Luigi turned the suction on in an endeavor to pull the poison apples out of the air before they could hit his friends.

And worked it did. Luigi managed to suck the poison apples up into his vacuum.

Rundas jumped out of the way as vines erupted out of the place where he just was. Wasting no time, Rundas started Ice Surfing around the room. He was almost hit by the apples Poison Ringo threw, but they were sucked off course in the nick of time by Luigi's vacuum. "Thanks for the save Luigi!" Rundas called as he returned fire towards the toxic witch.

"Hey, nice save, Loogey!" Ecolo complimented the green plumber as well. Just then, the vines that wrapped on Luigi...suddenly vanished...only to reappear as giant vines that tried to whack them!

Ecolo didn't dodge in time, therefore he was smacked by it, and got flung to a wall. He came back almost unscathed however. "Whew, what a tough cookie this fake Ringie is! Guess I gotta play rougher~" Ecolo said to himself as he readied some attacks of his own.

Luigi would gladly tip his hat and acknowledge the praise from his peers if his hands weren’t still restricted to his sides and his mouth trembling with fear, afraid to open lest a new apple be stuffed into it.
But suddenly the vines disappeared and Luigi was free to fall to the floor.

“I’m-a Luigi, number-a one." Luigi said dizzy with a tip of the hat from his free hand. He quickly got back to his feet and got his head back in the game.
He had to do something about this Poison Ringo.

Rundas swerved out of the way just as the vinss sprung up below him. Thank the Chozo for Ice Surfing.

Looking down, he saw that Poison Ringo was still standing, even after all the attacks that were thrown at her. "Guess I need to turn up the heat. Or in this case, turn it down." Rundas said. He rounded back on the false Ringo and sent an Ice Missile rocketing her way.
