Welcome, fellow warriors of the fray, to Super Smash Brothers: LIFE ITSELF!
We are the original SSB RP forum, and are a dedicated, friendly, community.
Years after the Subspace Emissary collapse, a mysterious explosion forced Nintendo Universes to a planet called Li.
A mystical force is said to be the cause of bringing everyone into a trap of noxious gas known as Starvia.
It is up to the new Smash Brothers of Li to step up and change the world through their actions.
Will you make the right choice?

SSB: LIFE ITSELF 2011-2021
Where am I going? or "I have no goal to speak of." While Schezo has come to understand that he has friends to rely on, he himself has not fully shaken off his loner tendencies. It's a tough habit to break as he's been doing it for over 100 years, but he's making it a point to socialize more. Unfortunately, that doesn't come to be. Realizing his companions are getting steadily stronger and himself feeling stagnant, his actions on trying to better himself begin to backpedal, focusing on himself and pushing people away again out of inferiority. He thought he reconciled, but it turns out it doesn't make him feel any satisfied or any happier. This mental vulnerability is key for Rune Lord to prey on him, letting him regress and eventually let insanity take over. This leads to the "The Lost Flower of Darkness" plotline.
The Reclaimed Space-time Crystal or "The Dormant Pinocchio" From his brief, short-lived interaction with the animated space-time crystal, he still remembered the grief his other self expressed knowing he's just a copy of Schezo, desiring power to feel whole. To be Schezo. With the Space-time Crystal back and in his possession, powered with chaos instead of his magic, he could try and grant that wish, giving him a name and identity to feel whole. But how would he behave with chaos magic and Schezo's...? Would he incite another Waku Puyo Land or worse...? Possibly leads into the "Schezo Returns to Waku Puyo Land" plot.
Deep-seated Fears or "Things that actually terrify Schezo." Less of a plot point, more of a set of traits that he keeps a lit on.
Guillotines, strangulation, any type of threats directed toward his neck. - A very unusual one to say the least, but it ties into his infamous decapitation in PC98 Madou Monogatari II. After having survived somehow, he sustained a scar that wraps around his neck. It's hidden under the collar of his cape or his ninja scarf, but it's there if you can get it exposed. It's one part his defeated pride by Arle's hands, another part developing a fear he'd lose his head again.
Abandonment - Living past human lifespan sucks. He's been meaning to make friends, if it weren't for the fact they're mayflies to him. He's distant, but not by choice.
A Comet Warlock's Shadow or "Lemres' dark little secret." A smaller one than the Schezo ones, but this plays on Lemres' past he doesn't like to talk about. Even if he knows cosmic magic, he is actually dark mage nobility. And Lemres has a habit of dodging questions about himself. If he gets pried into a bit too far, he might tell them but keep it a secret, because of potential scandals. He left his house (and dislikes it) for a reason, you know!
A Comet Warlock's Mild Concern or "I'm struggling excessively than I should." I've been noticing that Lemres has been struggling in a lot of mission's he's in, to the point that he might have to re-evaluate his skill. This could possibly be a catalyst in Lemres dipping into dark chocolate (Read: his Dark Mage pedigree) and using one dark spell at some point. He wouldn't like it, but if worse comes to worse, he has no choice. It'll startle the students for sure and make them rethink his image, possibly deconstructing his little facade.
The Family He Never Had or "Watching Over Feli" As it's established, Lemres really looks out for Feli, and is often considered to be the only one really close to her. Unfortunately, Lemres' priority on romance is very far low, having a sort of hollow-ness left from leaving his own family. He is unable to kindle romance as it stands, and Feli's misconstrued interpretation of it is turning him away from it further. He does, however, feel a strong familial bond with her, feeling like the father/brother figure she never had. He wants to lead her in the right direction, hopefully letting her mature and understand what love and romance is so she can gracefully accept Lemres' unwillingness to start a relationship.
Getting into the Spirit of Things, or "Ringo gets over her fear of ghosts." What else could I say about it? Ringo's trying to get over her fear of ghosts! It's going to take a while, but she's trying...
Strach Void (power debuff) Seal - A spell that that can render moves unusable for a set amount of turns via a WIS vs INT roll. This move locks out one move of Schezo's choice (or maybe the last one used?). Alternatively, it specifically targets Special moves. Diacute - Schezo sacrifices his turn to summon a single orb of magical energy at his side, stackable up to four orbs over four turns. These orbs, when used, each double the potency (damage/healing) and effect chance of Schezo's next action by 100%...Wait, isn't this Arle's spell? Schezo used to be in magic school too, you know! He had the spell before Arle even happened! Purifa (dispels Poison) Condia - Arcane magic that aids in purging whatever ails the target. However, this does not completely remove the status, only shortening its effects. Healing - A basic spell one learns in Magic School that Schezo almost forgot he had. (Will he even have this???) Resurrectia (Not likely he'll have it, but he did have it in Waku Puyo. Maybe it works on only himself and revers him down to half HP equivalent.) Eclipse - Schezo wraps himself with a shadowy veil, like how one would watch a lunar eclipse. Rend Space - Only ever used as a plot spell to justify Schezo appearing so quickly. The game uses it as a Dark Physical attack that attacks his surroundings. Darkness Brandish - A heavy sword slash imbued with his dark power to magnify its impact. While strong, it is not exactly a comboable attack, requiring quite a bit of physical force as well. (1-turn cooldown) Uramis - Sega Puyo counter magic, no idea what to run with this
EN Moves: Starstrike - An Alternate form of Areiado that, instead of invoking a dark blade barrage, explodes into a supernova-like combustion of dark magic.
Ninja Arts Ninpou: Akumu - An art that creates an illusion of one's primal fears. Does not inflict damage, but will inflict Fear if
Final Smash Drawing Board Eclipse As night falls, the moon rises and shines upon the battlefield. However, in his world, you've stepped into the garden of darkness. Trapped in a moonless night,
(Custom Image to be displayed, Stats accounted for)
Primaries: Two-step Arts - Quick kick attacks that serve as a swift means of attacking. Shuffling Strike - Not actually a shuffle. Schezo spins around the mic. stand like a staff and fights with it. Scherzo Magica - Schezo dances around a bit, each step creating magical notes for him to control and attack you with! Microphone Bash - What do you expect? Schezo takes the microphone off the stand and whacks you over the head with it. May cause Stun.
Specials: Lost in White - A melody that exudes the chill of loneliness. The resulting notes may freeze the enemy on contact. Heartstring - Schezo's charm weaponized. Schezo strikes a pose and unleashes an orb that Infatuates the enemy. Moon's Guidance - Schezo sings a tender-sounding lyric that heals his team for 1D10 + CHA Mod (Long cooldown?) Idol Shout! - Schezo shouts a microphone and assaults the enemy with an ear-piercing sound wave. Targets INT, May cause Confusion. (STR and WIS rolls are flipped; STR rolls must use WIS mod, WIS rolls must use STR mod.) Exit Stage: (Transformation reversion)
Final Smash Exalata Memories
The clock has turned 180 as the twilight glows
Even in the darkest of nights I still see myself...
A passionate, but rather melancholic song that serves to remind himself of the innocent, fragmented childhood he once had. Holding onto his identity, Schezo gets a myriad of power boosts for a few turns.
Moves: Mélanger (to mix) - Who said Lemres can't have fun making magic? Out of a 1d6 dice roll, Lemres mixes in an additional effect to his moves for a few turns, set at 10% chance. Arroser (baste) Galette (This was an unused one) EN Moves: Donuts Gingerbread Bundt Cake Cream Pie (I can likely BS a bunch of spells out of French desserts)
Moves: Algorithm Calculus (Above are EN Ringo spells)
Magical Girl Ringo FUNFACT: Ringo was almost a magical girl before they scrapped the idea
Ringo's a closet Magical Girl fan, and she's rather reluctant to admit it. Once she embraces her love of the power of love and justice, she awakens to actually becoming the one she adored in the past so much.
Stage Performance Hyrule's Grace Academy Mission Creator: Schezo Wegey
Rolling Required? ( N ) Variant Rules: (THIS IS IMPORTANT!!)
• This mission will be aided by the rhythm game (game). It's absolutely free to download, and does not need registration (although if you want to take the plunge and register, we can do some cooler things!). • I will be linking and directing you to the songs that are to be played. You can play it on any difficulty, but it will be weighted in favor of harder charts. This is important for the Sub Objective. • You're only allowed up to 5 attempts per song, pass or fail. Use them wisely, as you can use those attempts redo a song to improve your score, clear a harder difficulty, or just get that fail out of the way. Fails will hurt your chances of a successful mission, so cheese it out with an easier chart if you REALLY have to. • Submitting your score is as simple as sending me a screenshot of your Results Screen. Heck, if you REALLY want to show off, go ahead and show me a video or replay. • If you want to do Co-Op play with the other participants (this does require registration to the game), go ahead! I'll make the results count for the entire group. • For the sake of simplicity, please don't play with Mods.

Hyrule's Grace Academy Drama Club Presents...
Our World's a Stage
Live at Ellena Theater Date: ##/## Time: ##:## Cost: $?? adults/ $?? kids
"As you can see by this flier, this is a live performance to an upcoming musical. The school's Drama Club is trying to raise the spirits of the Life Sphere, as the dark news has been weighing heavily as of late. However, the club is struggling on funds, and is in dire need of this performance's success to avoid disbanding, so they need all the help they can get, as well as potentially drawing in new members to the club. Now, you may be wondering, why am I, Schezo, relaying this information to you? Well..."
"Ever since the passing of First to Fall, I've been garnering attention and fans everywhere I go, and the club president thought a hero of Li performing would be a sound idea for drawing in attendees. Thus, I...kinda...got dragged into this mess. Confound it, I don't have time for this! I don't even have interest in performing; I'm a dark wizard!"
"J-Just help me out here, okay?! I want this to be over with and I can't do this on my own!"
Objective: Entertain and captivate the crowd with your performances!

Mission Brief: "Schezo's been really quiet lately, so I have a feeling he has something on his mind. He's been eyeing a mirror for some reason, then one night he just walked out without a word. His little elephant friend stepped on this when trying to follow him..."
Where the white stars bloom.
I'll be returning to the darkness.
Where my distant memories lie.
"Where the white stars bloom...? He's acting about as cryptic as Feli's visions. The only place I can think of where white stars bloom is the mirror at Madou Village..."
Objective: Explore the Labyrinth of Rana and rescue Schezo!
History On Li: Ghosts are rather whimsical folk. These two just wander around the creepier part of Primp Town, doing what they plase. However, during their quest to pop a quiz on someone, they noticed that almost none of their usual suspects are nowhere to be found! Confused, the ghost duo explored the town, and it seems the town itself has become a ghost too. Where did everyone go? The ghosts don't know. Upon returning back to Osolo Cemetery, Rei spotted a suspicious looking portal. Curious of it, Yu jumps in without a second thought, Rei following after to watch over his sister. At the end of it, they ended up in the heart of the Life Sphere, bustling with refugees and residents alike.
Primary Attacks (3) Red Wisp, come on!: [6%] A flurry of red wisps are conjured and attack a single enemy. The duo's most basic attack, but they have to be soulful about it.
Blue Wisp, come on!: [10%, 10% Freeze] A cluster of blue wisps spawn and attack a single enemy. Unlike the red ones, these wisps are incredibly chilly and may freeze the target.
Grave Mist: [20%, -2 DEX next turn] The ghosts whip up a mist that obscures vision of the target and whittles away at their life...in exchange of getting obscured by your own mist. Hey, sometimes we can't always think things through. They probably mist the mark on practicality.
Special Attacks (3) Heavy Haze: [STR, DEX, and WIS modifiers are set to +/- 0 ] Yu and Rei fly about to create a thick, ghastly haze enshrouds the field. The fog has a mystical force that seems to level the playing field, which can make for some chaotic results.
Silent Step: [4%, Inflicts Paralysis] What's a ghost without a little sneaky spook? Yu or Rei use their magic to mute any sounds they would make...and creep up from behind for a shadowy sneak attack surprise! BOO! The scare is sure to make someone paralyzed in fear.
Bats Storm: [13%, heals 1/2 damage inflicted (Rounded down), 4-turn cooldown] Yu or Rei call out a phantasmal colony of bats to strike a poor sucker and drain their life. Though, they can't do it too much. There's a weird oxymoron about these ghosts being the life of the party despite being dead. Let's not find out what happens.
Final Smash (1) Rest in Peace [44%, Inflicts Flower (4)] The ghosts are here for a funeral: Yours. With their combined power, the ghosts are here to bury you six feet under with a wave of yellow chrysanthemums and lilies. The poor victim covered in the flowers will find themselves in a casket, with the duo using their powers to slowly drag them into their personal graveyard...and then crashing down from the sky and into reality with a big 'ol flower stuck on them after breaking out. C'mon, did you really think they'd really bury you alive? If they'd want to kill you, they'd make you one of their kind! Zombies are done to death.
PUNS. Yu is an absolute monster with them, whether they're clever or terrible.
While twins, Yu is the slightly older one.
Their birthday is June 9.

Kiemi'a Shezorei Gridania, Eorzea
Alignment: Lawful Good
Motto: No more running away...!
Allies/Friends: Companions left behind in Eorzea, the Conjurer's Guild, the Seedseers
Beginning Kiemi'a's childhood wasn't always as pleasant as he'd wanted to remember. Born and raised in the Black Shroud, he is the only son of three offspring, and is the youngest of them all. His father was gone for most of his life, never learning who he was, effectively raised by a single mother. As the lone male of the Shezorei name, Kiemi Shezorei took utmost care into ensuring he lives to see to adulthood before he would be sent to the world outside his forest home.

History On Li: The elementals were restless. He could hear their tense emotions threatening his home, but it wasn't anything he sensed before. Though his duties could extend beyond the Black Shroud, this one was far beyond the scope of Eorzea.
Thus, his mission to stop the unknown force began, stepping into a rift taking him to the source of the threat. When the miqo'te came to, he couldn't hear them. They haven't been silenced. No...it felt as if many of them were dying or dead. The ravaged land intimidated him, trusting his intuition to be something rendering the ground stagnant and lifeless. He knew not of the name, but the Starvia was an infection he must stop before it could reach his home world. The heart of the problem was beyond his understanding as of now, but he is clear on his current goal: rejuvenate the land so it is livable for the residents of the Life Sphere.
