Schezo contemplated on an answer for a short moment, as they moved further and further away from the golem. The golem attempted to shine its lights once more...but it's much too far away to detect a thing. Don't count your stars yet, getting out of the castle is the most important thing on this mission. After a moment, Schezo answered Palutena's curious question.
"Arle is someone I've been acquainted with for a long time. She's managed to best me in duels of magic consistently, able to match my magic power despite being the age of an apprentice mage. Her potential is astounding, and it only make me desire her-"
Whoah there, hit the brakes! Just barely stopping himself from going down a slippery slope of squandered first impressions, he froze in place to recollect his thoughts and correct himself before he makes a total fool of himself...and make Klug sound like he was right. Which he absolutely doesn't want.
"Her potential is astounding, and it only makes me want her magic power. I desire great power to be an all-powerful d-"
And Schezo interrupted himself again, but for a different reason. The hallway that stands before them is a long, winding staircase leading down to the ground floor and likely the main entrance. He wouldn't want to stumble down the stairs, now. On top of that, it's crawling with wisps. They all seem to be moving in group of threes, and there appears to be nine of them. They seem to be blissfully unaware of their presence, making it possible to evade them. A surprise attack would likely take them down without a struggle too, and there's one set within vicinity...
"Do you see that? That wisp doesn't seem to be aware of us. Do you propose we try to avoid an unnecessary fight, or try a surprise attack to relax the need for evasion?"
{It is possible to evade the enemy with a DEX roll, or jump them with a Wisdom roll. Failing the DEX roll will result in a lack of progress, but a failed Wisdom roll will trigger a battle encounter. The threshold is listed above. Alternatively, the particularly reckless ones can just fight it directly with little regard for safety.}
