Metal Sonic and Jester Guy - Hell

As the unlikely duo wandered further into the cave the smell became nauseous--at least for the one of them with a proper nose. Suddenly, however, the mine shaft opened up into an enormous cave system. One would get the sense that they were not at the carnival anymore. Jester Guy in particular appeared to be very uneasy here, as if he knew something dangerous was waiting just beyond sight. One might get the sensation that they would quickly become lost if they proceeded upon their current trajectory. Still...

Who knew what sort of amazing challenge they might find if they continued? It could be the fight Metal Sonic was waiting for--...or their doom. One of the two.

Kelsey and Luigi - Wrestling Ring

Rulue quickly parried the blow, shoving Luigi's arm aside mid jab and responding with a punch of her own aimed at his shoulder.

The Fighting Queen appeared to be playing with him, but that didn't change the fact that her punches hurt like nothing other. For such a lithe, beautiful woman Rulue hit like a heavyweight MMA fighter. It appeared that her title was not without merit. Luigi had made the mistake of challenging the strongest person at the carnival to a one on one. Oops. "Harder. Faster!" Rulue gently scolded, 'encouraging' the plumber.

Metal Sonic followed the Jester into a large cave system. The heat of the area was even beginning to warm his frame. In here could be a challenge unlike any other... But the paths also seemed to derive quite a bit and getting lost would be an easy task. Even if he kept track of their co-ordinates, it may not help much given his low signal. He looked forward for quite a while... Whatever was down here, it had nothing to do with his mission of revenge and defeating the fake Sonic.

Metal Sonic hesitated for a moment as he considered this. He needed more power but getting defeated down here would put a hamper on stopping his clone... The senile robot turned around and started to head back the way they came. "There is no point in continuing. Let's head back to the park," Metal Sonic stated as he surprisingly chose not to journey forwards. He had a mission and showing up the other Sonic was not going to be accomplished going down there.

Predictably, Rulue blocked Luigi's first strike. The only noises Luigi could make at this point were a series of grunts ranging from fear to hesitation to fear to focus to fear again.
Luigi's senses went into overdrive when he saw the strongest woman in the world send a fist his way.

Whether it was chivalry, survival skill or sheer cowardice, Luigi managed to twist out of the way of Rulue's punch  and retaliate with another L-handed jab.

Which went as well as you'd expect.
Luigi didn't want to hit her anyway, he was more concerned with not Being hit. But how long could this go on?And could he hit her even if he wanted to?
It's not like Luigi had time to stop and think about any of this, he was too busy fighting for his life. He could only hope that outside the ring, Kelsey was figuring out a plan to get him out before Game Over.

Metal Sonic and Jester Guy - Hell

Jester Guy seemed to deflate in relief as Metal Sonic resisted the urge to rush into the depths of hell, a choice that would have likely sealed his fate. However, as he turned to leave the area Jester Guy could not help but stop and peer over his shoulder, gazing back into hell silently. ...Maybe later. Unfortunately one could not see his expression past his mask, but he almost seemed to want something down there. Oh well.

A familiar locale emerges

As the duo exited the area, Jester Guy dropped his disguise and began to meander off towards the Food Court without waiting for any instruction from Metal Sonic. Either he was hungry or tired of being dragged around. ...Or perhaps he knew more than he let on about the location of his mirror? Metal Sonic had the option of following--or not. The jester continued to heal himself as he went, trying to summon a bit more strength than he'd been afforded by his near death encounter.

Meanwhile, Rulue deftly parried Luigi's blow, knocking his arm to the side and reaching out to grab his shoulder. If Luigi were not careful, he would be grabbed and promptly knocked to the ground by Rulue's impressive strength.

"What was that supposed to be? Haven't you ever thrown a punch before? Do it right!" Rulue went on to scold. She appeared to be growing impatient with Luigi's failures. What would she do if her patience ran thin? A temper tantrum? ...More violence? Was Luigi feeling lucky?

Metal Sonic paused for a moment to look back at the area he refused to enter... It could hold something important he could claim... Perhaps powerful enough to stop his other half once and for all... The Jester seemed interested in whatever was deeper in too... He made a note in his data to search the location more later before heading back to the mission at hand.

Metal Sonic exited the cave and began to look around. He was determining where to go next when the jester walked ahead of him. He appeared to be heading to the food court for some reason. Metal Sonic focused on him before moving to follow him. He looked towards the Wrestling Ring's location... His receptors were picking up a fight from the looks of it. He watched the Jester continue heading towards the food court...

He thought about it before deciding to follow the Jester. He was curious on why the Jester was heading there. He can always check out the ring later. With that in mind, he went to follow Jester Guy.

As Lady Luck would oddly allow, Luigi dodged that one as well, two for two. Luigi's dodging streak had done his wits good. At this rate she'd tire herself out before she hit him!
Was Luigi feeling lucky? He was lucky so far, but he could sense her patience wearing thin. Just one enraged punch undodged could put him out black and blue as well as green.
What if he humored her with another swing, maybe give her a punch this time so he at least looked like he was into it?

Metal Sonic and Jester Guy emerged into the food court, only for a vividly colored potion vial to immediately smash into the wall next to them. Jester Guy seemed to flinch, though it was hard to tell without being bale to see his face. How did he see out of that mask anyway?

"Guah!"

The culprit stood atop a lunch table holding a bundle of potions in his ... paws. He appeared to be an anthropomorphic squirrel ... bear thing.

Judging by the crazed look on his face and his hostility towards their presence, they would be unable to avoid this battle. Finally, the thing Metal Sonic had desired! Risukuma stood back up and pulled another potion out of his lab coat. He then tossed it at Metal Sonic!

Kelsey and Luigi - Wrestling Ring

Meanwhile, Rulue caught Luigi's arm and held it in her grasp, shifting to  stare him in the eyes. She got very close to Luigi, giving him a rather cold look. Oh boy. He screwed up now! ...And then, she began helping Luigi make a better fist, guiding his hand before returning her gaze to him. "...Like this." Rulue instructed softly, releasing Luigi. She seemed unimpressed, but she had declined to try and hit Luigi ...this turn. The fighting queen stepped back and took a fighting stance. "Try harder! Do you think you can save your damsel punching like that!?" Rulue then barked, going straight back to scolding.

Kelsey looked up from her cleaning. Wait, what had she called her?

Metal Sonic followed the Jester until suddenly some person in a lab coat came running at them. He observed the normal resident as a chemical explosion happened right next to them. Finally someone was bringing the fight to him as he readied himself. He scanned the chemicals that came flying at him... Right to when they hit him in the face and he fell back against the ground in the explosion...

That really hurt quite a bit as Metal picked himself up. However now he was holding a chemical equivalent to the mad scientist's explosive he threw. Metal Sonic remained silent as he entered battle mode with his silent but deadly protocol... Well, silent until the explosion was caused by the potion he threw back at him.

Metal Sonic then stepped forward and clenched his hands at his side. He floated slightly into the air before letting loose a surge of radioactive plasma. He intended to make the doctor thing sick and paralyzed... But he would have to deal with whatever happens as he lands on the ground.

Luigi did a take at his grabbed fist with widened eyes.
"oh no. Oh-a-No! This is it! She's got-a me!" Luigi thought, sweat beating down like tears from his forehead as his eyes darted up meet Rulue's cold stare.
"How am I going to pull away and dodge now? My pipe's as good as dented?"

Luigi could only flinch, expecting the whomping to end a lifetime... but instead of hitting him... she was ...helping him?... to make a fist? He couldn't believe his eyes as he opened them back up. He couldn't tell whether to feel touched or embarassed. Granted the help wasn't unwarranted; Punching was never Luigi's style. Jumping on an opponents head was what he was used to. In fact, he was more likely to punch with his butt than with his fists for that matter. But this could change that.

"Uh. Th-thank you." Luigi peeped, blushing as sheepishly and nervously and awkwardly as ever.
"There's-a no backing out now. He thought to himself looking at his properly formed fist.
"She knows you know how to now. You know you know how to now! You just...gotta do it! You c-Can do it. He got the lesson and everything he Had to do it now.
It's just like a nasty toilet clog. No matter how bad you know don't wanna touch it, it's not gonna go away.
Sometimes you just gotta man up, roll up your sleeves and just drive your full arm in there and pull! Exept it's a closed fist and there's no pull just punching. Come on Luigi, what would Mario do?"
Luigi took a deep breath and closed his eyes. "For-a my damsel! She shouted, taking a stance and sending a Super Jump Punch straight up into Rulue's jaw.

It wasn't till it was over, did Luigi come to his senses and realized what he just said. For his Damsel? Did he really say that? Who was he talking about? Was it Kelsey? Or was it?...all he knew was that he imagined as a smile, as sunny and playful as a sunflower, winking at him.
Opening his eyes, Luigi realized what he just Did! He punched Rulue!
"Oh My Gooseneck! I'm a so sorry!" Luigi panicked, trying to tend to Rulue "Are-a You Okay?"

Risukuma tossed a potion at Metal Sonic, only for their potions to collide in midair, errupting into a shower of sparkles that ... slowly formed the image of a glittering pink heart? Sheesh. It looked like something that might have come out of Princess Peach's head. The heart dissipated after a moment. Had he just thrown a love potion or something? Regardless, Risukuma was quick to dodge Metal Sonic's next attack, lunging away towards another table and whipping another bottle at him.

Meanwhile, Jester Guy cast a ball of darkfire at Risukuma and succesfully managed to knock the squirrelbear off his table, only for Risukuma to flip the table up like a shield and toss another explosive potion over it. This potion missed as well, or so it seemed. The explosion itself landed nowhere near Jester Guy, but it did launch a table across the room at him. The table narrowly missed Metal Sonic by luck alone and plowed into Jester Guy, knocking him flat on his back and pinning him. It just wasn't his day, it seemed.

Kelsey and Luigi - Wrestling Ring

Fist, meet eye! Before Luigi realized what was going on he had just punched a beautiful woman in the face--in the eye no less. Rulue recoiled slightly, clutching her face as Luigi not only hit her but scored a critical hit. That had actually hurt quite a bit! As Luigi attempted to tend to her however, she shoved his hand away.

"Hands off!" Rulue snapped, not wanting to be coddled that way.

The fighting queen took a step back from Luigi, seeming to have fully recovered her composure by now. Her body language, now slack and more relaxed, seemed to signify that she was finished fighting. A moment of silent would come to pass however as Rulue seemed to peer into Luigi's soul. Not even Kelsey spoke up to protest being called a damsel, let alone Luigi's. ...And then, Rulue smiled.

"That was a very impressive effort for a novice. With more training, you might be able to do that on the first try instead of the fourth." Rulue mused aloud. "For now, class is dismissed. Come back if you'd like to get more practice."

On cue, Kelsey spoke up. "...Ahem. Rulue?" she asked, attempting to get the fighter's attention. Rulue looked upon Kelsey with mild disdain. What did the coward want with her? " Fighting Queen Rulue." the fighting queen corrected, tolerating zero informality from the spineless. Kelsey was basically boiling with resentment now. She could throw punches way better than Luigi! ...And yet, she could neither hit nor disobey a human. Curse her existence. "Apologies, Rulue the Fighting Queen. I have finished cleaning the ring, as you've asked of me." Kelsey explained, her gaze shifting to Luigi for a moment.

Rulue's eyes widened in surprise. Wait--Kelsey had actually obeyed her? ...Perhaps she wasn't as pathetic as Rulue had initially surmised by her cowardice. If nothing else, she had some sense of respect and a fair work ethic. Rulue looked around to inspect the job Kelsey had done. Everything looked pretty neat now. There was no more trash laying around, and everything had been organized in an appropriate manner. "...And you did well." Rulue once again mused aloud, pondering what to make of Kelsey's subservience. "It's my job to protect and serve, Rulue." Kelsey replied, honest to a fault. The question unanswered was who she really served.

"...Hmm! Perhaps I judged you too harshly. My displacement here has parted me from my previous servant; perhaps you could fill in in his place."

Kelsey's eyes widened and she became a tad flustered by what sounded more like a request than an offer. "I... I appreciate the offer, Rulue, but I happen to be on a mission right now and am bound to my current orders until that mission is complete. We're trying to recover an enchanted mirror for a man who lost it here." Kelsey replied, going out of her way to make it clear that she wasn't saying no, necessarily. The word 'no' wasn't in her vocabulary.

"So you say you are 'bound to your orders'? What a shame. I'd like someone to be more useful then that brainless ox." Rulue replied to Kelsey. Surely, her she was going to find a good (or a better) replacement for Minotauros eventually, but for now she had to roll alone for a remainder of time. Not that this was a big problem, she could take care of herself.
 
"A enchanted mirror, huh?" Suddenly wasn't so sure if she would leave the two to continue down to...whatever they wanted to go to find that enchanted mirror by themselves. Surely they would be walking for certain doom if there was a guy who could barely punch right, but hey, she might be wrong for all she knew.

Then again, speculating wouldn't help. They were probably in great danger.

"...All right, I shall lend my strength to you for the remainder of this mission of yours. And you better be grateful about it." Rulue announced, storing her fan on...possibly hyperspace, or a vest pocket. I wouldn't be able to tell you.

Maybe that mirror could be somewhat useful for her...whatever it did. Also she could check if Kelsey was really worth it as a substitute for Minotauros, so there were good reasons for her to jump in after all!

Rulue joined your party!...Like it or not!

"So, where are you both--or rather, we--going to investigate now?" Rulue proceeded to ask Kelsey...and Luigi.

Metal Sonic watched as his potion was countered... by what appeared to be a love potion... Why was he throwing that at him? Well, the robot did not really have time to scan the ingredients so maybe it was something else. He did have time however to jump back as another potion was thrown at him. Then there was an explosion and a table flew right past him and at the Jester Guy.

He showed a lack of sympathy however as he jumped into the air and curled into a ball as he locked onto the enemy. In a mere instance he was zooming at the insane weasel with a Homing Attack.

As he landed and went for a side kick on the mad scientist. He then curled into a ball and spindashed to try and run the enemy through. He then would jump up as soon as he missed or hit and summoned his Ring Spark Field.

Luigi flinched back from Rulue when she shoved his hand away, expecting her to retaliate by hooking him back in his nose or something. 
Luigi stood in a decidedly defensive stance in ellipsis as Rulue sharp stare prodded into his soul, nervously anticipating a round two.

But nope, instead, to his surprise, and much more to his relief, Rulue calmed down like she was done fighting.
The tension relieving words of "class dismissed" loosened the tension of Luigi's joints like a counter clockwise monkey wrench. He could barely say "Thank-a you teacher." before collapsing in a face vault.

"Welcome to the have. Glad-a to team you aboard." the floored plumber welcomed in non sequitur, tipping his hat like a like a dizzy gentlemen.
He pried himself off of the floor like a sticker, and after a good head shake, opened the up map.

"Welp, we've-a conquered the Wrestling Ring, ...but the magic-a mirror's not-a here either." crossing the Wrestling Ring off the list. "So that means we've-a still got-a to go to the Haunted House... the Tornado... the Carousel Area... The Food Court...I don't-a suppose either of you ladies are-a hung-a-ry? Luigi offered sheepishly. "...M-my treat?"

Risukuma ran about without any direction as Metal Sonic attacked, proving surprisingly difficult to hit as he dodged and weaved back and forth. Either that, or Metal Sonic was having a bad day.

Surprisingly, the jester was able to struggle his way out from under the thrown table, standing back up and brushing himself off. He then attempted to cast a spell upon Risukuma, attempting to melt his mind with dark magics!

...Unfortunately for Jester Guy, Risukuma was smarter than he currently looked. Must be that lab coat or something. Well if that didn't work, maybe a more direct approach would!

Without warning, a bolt of lightning shot straight through the roof and fried Risukuma in mid-air, sending him crashing into a table. That looked like it really hurt. A pool of cherry red potion began to pool around Risukuma. It appeared that one of his potions had broken. After a moment, he began to grow to a massive size! Uh-oh...

Kelsey, Luigi and Rulue - Food Court

Kelsey's eyes widened in surprise as Rulue offered to help them. Oh! "Oh! ...Thank you, Rulue." she replied, suddenly a lot more confident in their ability to handle whatever came next. Kelsey considered Luigi's suggestion, but once again had to question it. "Somehow I don't think anyone is maintaining food in the abandoned food court." Kelsey remarked rather lamely. "...But we do have to check it off our places to search, so." the reploid would go on to relent, testing their position and... Oh hey, the food court wasn't far off! A crash was heard from not far off, conveniently the building they were looking for.

"It sounds like we might be late to the party too." Kelsey added, moving to rush to the scene. She beckoned Rulue and Luigi as she moved to enter the Food Court--only to stop in her tracks.

A gigantic Risukuma towered over the room, hunched over under the ceiling due to his height. An equally enormous potion rested in his hands. He seemed very out of it, judging by the delirious expression on his face and equally delirious tone of his voice. He tossed the giant potion over the food counter and it shattered against the wall, flooding the area with a glowing cyan liquid. ...After a few moments, to the shock of everyone most especially Kelsey, a bunch of sentient sandwhiches began assembling themselves and leaping over the counter. What even?! They appeared to be armed and were rushing to Risukuma's defense, surrounding him adoringly before beginning to approach the group in a threatening manner. There was one sandwhich warrior for each of them.

((Everyone! The Sandwhich Warriors are ... not very intimidating. For those of you with functioning mouths, grappling and taking a bite out of the sandwhich warriors will instantly KO them and restore 10% HP.))

Rulue followed Kelsey and Luigi to the Food Court, listening to Luigi's offer. "Hm, an interesting offer if I do say so myself, Mr. Man in Green.  However, I believe that by the looks of this place, no one's been here for...quite a while." A double take ensued. "...I haven't caught your names yet. Should you enlighten me on that matter, or should I just stick with 'Robot Maid' and 'Mr. Man in Green'?" She asked. Her tone was partially jovial, while also partly serious.

...Then suddenly explosion. A look at the Food Court revealed oh my goodness there was a gigantic bear-squirrel thing there. He clearly looked...out there. And he sounded out there. Huh, that guy was....vaguely familiar. Maybe. Rulue was focusing more on the situation at hand.

Aaaaand then he threw a chemical in the ground, creating apparently living sandwiches.

"...Yes, this is by far the weirdest day I've ever witnessed." Rulue simply commented. She thought for a while and took a look on the sandwiches, a smirk popping on her face.

"On the upside, though...I'm kind of hungry. Shall we serve ourselves, Mr. Man in Green?"

With those words, Rulue dashed in an attempt to grapple the living sandwiches.
