Metal Sonic and Jester Guy - Circus Arena

Zoh was struck by Metal Sonic's spindash, angrily stomping about as the other struck him. And... And then Metal Sonic made the choice to superheat the already uncomfortably hot air inside the tent. Zoh Daimaoh's body began to glow red hot as he absorbed a boatload of radiation. The tent itself began to inflate with the sheer intensity of the heat within it, though the big hole Jester Guy had created prevented it from going out of control. "Zoooooh! It's so hot in here!" the elephant king rermarked, an anger vein comically bulging out of his forehead. "I can feel my fury rising to a billion degrees! ZOOOOOOH! ZOOOOOOOOOOOH! ZAOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!" Zoh Daimaoh began to shout, his stomping only increasing as he was fried. And then...

...The ground began giving away underneath Zoh. Somehow, the elephant king had gotten so hot that he was now melting straight through the ground! Within a few moments, his enraged voice vanished into the ground as he sunk into what seemed like the center of the earth.

...

And eventually, the rumbling ceased and all went quiet. Zoh Daimaoh was gone, and Metal Sonic was free to search the temple at his leisure. Unfortunately, the mirror was not to be found in the circus arena either. When Metal Sonic inevitably exited, he would find a wounded Jester Guy just sort of sprawled on the ground outside. He appeared to be trying to heal himself when Metal Sonic caught him, sitting up and standing with some effort. He didn't seem like he was doing too great, but he had regained the ability to walk. Jester Guy gazed upon Metal Sonic silently, almost expectantly. Whether he wanted an explanation for that display back there or was waiting for Metal Sonic to show him where he wanted to search next was left up to the imagination, as the faceless jester had no way of communicating anger.

Kelsey and Luigi - Kiddie Koral

Kelsey once again puzzled over Luigi's antics as he listed off a bunch of areas he didn't want to visit. She chuckled. "Y'know these are just circus attractions, right? There aren't any real ghosts in that haunted house~" she reassured the plumber in a light-hearted tone, albeit following him to the kiddie koral regardless. It turned out, upon arrival, that the kiddie koral was more of a petting zoo. It wasn't a very large area, occupied only by a single ... What in puyo puyo hell was that? "Look." Kelsey murmured, gesturing to a lone--rather furry--creature in the pen area.

A tiny werewolf in street clothes admires himself in a mirror. Was that the mirror Luigi and Kelsey were looking for? Quite possibly, but they'd have to inspect it to see if it was magic. The werewolf did not appear to notice them.

Metal Sonic watched as the Elephant thing glowed from the pressure of his Ring Spark Field. The metal clone like the idea of his rage increasing intensely. He was ready for whatever this guy could put up as a threat... But that did not last long as he melted into oblivion... That was extremely disappointing.

Metal Sonic gave a quick look around after being annoyed with getting nothing out of that encounter. He then returned to the Jester Guy as he was patching himself up from those blows. "That fight was pointless. Let's move on," Metal Sonic stated as he looked around. He was not about to go to that Wrestling Arena after that last disappointment. The Abandoned Mine was in his interest... But he wanted to try a location more likely to be peaceful first... Just to see if this place had some reverse psychology in threats.

"... We are heading to the Water Park, come," Metal Sonic stated as he headed that way. He seemed to have no concern for the pain he just put the guy he was supposed to be helping through. The robotic hedgehog was waterproof anyway so the Water Park was not a threat. It just seemed less likely to hold something strong, therefore it might hold something strong.

Luigi became flustered at Kelsey's reasoning.
"Well they don't have to be-a real ghostes to still be-a really dangerous." He tried to defend himself.

The duo made their way to the Kiddy Koral. Luigi didn't know what he was expecting, but he was unimpressed by the state of the petting zoo. It was pretty barren and unkept. Not to mention empty. But at least it wasn't...aw mama mia.
Luigi and Kelsey ducked behind  a wide sign.

"...Just-a my luck, I walk-a-way from Beetlejuice and ran right in-a-to the Wolfman's den instead." Luigi whispered with a face palm. "And what's-a more, Wolfman's got-a mirror too."
Luigi peeked up over the sign at the inattentive werewolf. 
"If my bro Mario were-a here, he'd march right-a up to fuzz, jump-a on his head or something and just-a take the mirror." He reminisced.
He took another look at the werewolf and reconsidered.
"Buuut-a, m-maybe we don't have to do that." Luigi suggested "Maybe we could just-a...ask nicely?"

Jester Guy twitched erratically as he was ordered around. One could only imagine the rage behind that mask--assuming he had a face behind that mask at all. Yet, he obviously said nothing and followed along as asked. As the pair neared the water park they would begin to hear someone singing. It was a beautiful girl's voice that seemed to call out to them. She was singing a soothing tune... a...

a...

a siren's song. She was humming along to the tune of a song that would be foreign to Metal Sonic.

Jester Guy for one did not appear to be able to resist the call. He stopped in his tracks for a moment in bemusement before wobbling clumsily on his feet and staggering into a run to find the source of that voice. You go get her, Jester Guy. She's your sea monster. Yet, as the duo inevitably arrived at the water park either way they would find not a siren--but a beautiful mermaid lounging in the water. She didn't even appear to be aware of them, judging by her reaction to seeing them step into view. The mermaid's eyes filled with terror at the sight of the duo and she emitted a little gasp, grasping at her jaw and ducking down into the water to hide. She was in the shallow end of one of those wave pool attractions, which was for some reason still operational. One could still see her head poking out from the water, in spite of her efforts. "G-Go away..!" she stammered out.

A cowardly mermaid appears! She doesn't appear to like your presence. What will you do?

Kelsey and Luigi - Kiddie Koral

Kelsey just sort of looked at Luigi, then at the wolfman, then at Luigi. ...Ah what the heck. What did she know? He seemed like he belonged in this world more than she did anyway. Kelsey approached the werewolf and held up a hand. "Hey! I--" she began, only for the werewolf to immediately turn and lunge at her. It began to snap at Kelsey, growling ferociously as it attempted to freak her out.

Kelsey promptly wigged out and PUNCHED THAT WEREWOLF IN THE FACE! ...A yelp was heard as the werewolf kid was sent sprawling. He promptly ran away from the two of them, along with the 'supposedly' magic mirror. Kelsey was stunned for a moment, watching the werewolf retreat. "Wh--...Where's he? We have to go after him!" she blurted out, attempting to give chase.

Metal Sonic approached the Water Park with Jester Guy in tow. He stopped however upon the sound of singing reaching his receptors. He did not really have a human enough brain to pick up the hypnotic waves as influential. In fact, he was one of the few robots of his time built by Robotnik that was completely AI. The final product of a test line of them in fact. His data was not really made to be corruptable by things like this...

His ally on the other hand did not seem to be built for perfection. Metal Sonic watched him walk ahead towards the singing. He shook his head at his weak willed "ally". The copy of Sonic simply followed along until they reached the park where the mermaid was. She did not seem happy with their presence. "... Request denied. Looking for mirror," Metal Sonic said rather bluntly as he rotated his entire upper half around to look at the area.

He ignored the fact Jester Guy may cause more trouble. He was not concerned for the mermaid or Jester Guy. He had to just finish this task and hopefully find something with more potential. Figures reverse psychology would not help.

Luigi stood back and watched as Kelsey entered the ring and confronted the werewolf. He flinched and hid, trembling as the werewolf snarled and growled at her.
But his jaw fell to his knees as she retaliated by PUNCHING HIM IN THE FACE.

"Ay! What's-a matter for you?" Luigi rushed into the ring to join Kelsey "Just because I'mma said Mario would do that don't-a mean You should!"
Luigi's attention quickly turned to the poor pup who was trying to flee.

Metal Sonic and Jester Guy - Water Park

The mermaid... ... is too cowardly to try and make the group leave. She does however whine audibly in response to being ignored. Jester Guy didn't appear particularly afraid of her, in comparison to the elephant from earlier. However, he made a point to keep his distance. The mermaid was displaying very 'animal backed into a corner' esque body language right now and he didn't want to elicit a violent response. As the group searched, they unfortunately did not find the mirror they were looking for. However, they managed to avoid a fight! ...Probably. Maybe. The mermaid began following Jester Guy and Metal Sonic around the pool, watching them suspiciously. Luckily, it didn't seem like they had to actually invade her pool to search.

Jester Guy hung his head in defeat as it was revealed they had once again hit a dead end.

Kelsey and Luigi - Wrestling Ring

Kelsey would purse her lips. "It tried to maul me!" she protested, not having grasped that the lycanthrope had only been trying to chase her away rather than hurt her--or so it seemed. The pair chased the werewolf, but were unable to keep up with it. Their chase led them, however, to a new attraction! The pair followed the werewolf into a tent of some nature before vanishing from sight completely. When Kelsey and Luigi peaked inside they would find they were at... the wrestling ring! It looked more like a boxing ring to be perfectly honest. A large sign was hanging above the ring, reading as followed: 'COME ONE, COME ALL TO SEE THE WORLD'S STRONGEST WOMAN!'

"...Huh. That's a rather dated reference." Kelsey mused aloud. The notion of a strong woman being some manor of freakshow was before even her time, raising the question of how this attraction was here. Yet, Kelsey wouldn't have long to ponder this as a limber figure promptly launched herself up and into the ring.

A beautiful woman now stood at the center of the ring, fanning herself delicately with one hand.

The woman smiled down at the two knowingly, striking a regal pose and laughing in a fittingly regal manning. "Ohohoho~ Come up to the stage and face me, dearies. Have you ever laid your eyes upon such a beautifully strong opponent before?" the woman asked, a remark that would either come off as cheesy or intimidating depending on who heard it. "O-Oh... No. I can't fight you. I'm a robot." Kelsey replied, waving her hands frantically in an effort to back off. The woman appeared to not be having any of it, however. "Get up here, you bag of bolts, or I'll come down there and teach you and Slick what it means to disobey." the woman went on to demand in a threatening tone. She seemed offended by the other's refusal. Kelsey promptly gave Luigi a nervous look. She seemed to be panicking a bit, judging by the look on her face.

Metal Sonic looked around the place with his eyes scanning as best he could with the Jester's support. He made it a point to completely ignore the Mermaid as she held no interest to the robotic copy. After a bit of searching it would seem this place was a dead end as well. Sonic's Doppleganger looked to the pool containing the mermaid and pondered if the mirror could be in there... He decided against investigating however and turned to leave as this place has been cleared.

He looked to the other areas of the park and pondered where the mirror could be... Or where something strong would rest to make a dead end worth it. The obviously wrong answer was as wrong as one could deduce logically to the synthetic hedgehog. "Abandonded Mine is next location. Come," Metal Sonic ordered once again. He then began his walk towards the mine that could hold something interesting.

Luigi kept up with Kelsey as they chased after the werewolf. However, they couldn't keep up with the werewolf. It got away.
But they did get to another attraction to search. Following it's trail into a tent, the two came to the Wrestling Ring. The wrestling ring that looked more like a boxing ring.
"Huh, reminds-a me of the days Mario was-a referee." Luigi reminisced. "That brave-a Glass Joe. Never gave-a up without a fight."

"Whoever wrote-a this sign has never arm wrestled Princess Daisy." Luigi snorted, reading the sign.
Luigi nearly choked when the woman appeared in the wring. She was beautiful, and the slack in Luigi's jawline could tell you he thought so. Just imagine what she could do if she were the world's strongest woman. He never liked fighting women, and Kelsey being a robot programmed not to fight humans, it made perfect sense to him that she didn't want to fight.
He wasn't flattered being called Slick, but he didn't want to fight her either.

"Wh-what-a my friend here means is..." Luigi stutteringly tried to explain on Kelsey's behalf "She's p-a-rogrammed not to fight the humans. "

Metal Sonic and Jester Guy - Water Park

As Metal Sonic and Jester Guy made their way to the mine they would quickly come to the realization that this... was no carnival attraction. It was secluded from the rest of the tents, off on its own with only a little dirt road leading to it. When the two finally arrived, a modest sign indicating that entering the mine was forbidden was all that greeted them. In spite of this, Jester Guy reluctantly moved to enter the shaft. It soon became pitch black as the two entered, but Jester Guy conjured a ball of light to offset the darkness. It was a pretty roomy mine, a single minecart track leading down deeper inside of it. The scent of sulfur was detectable in the air, and the mind was oddly warm compared to the outside air. As the duo proceeded further, raising the question of how deep the mine went, they would be confronted with several pairs of eyes glinting at them in the darkness. A growling noise was heard from several creatures in unison.

Jester Guy froze, holding up his ball of light and intensifying its glow to illuminate the creature gazing up at them...

Cerberus Puppy Appeared!

It was cerberus itself, raising the question of why it was there... It? The puppy was actually wearing some rather feminine decorations. Maybe it was a her? She snarled at the two, standing in their way standoffishly. It seemed she had no intention of letting them pass.

Kelsey and Luigi - Wrestling Ring

The woman gave Luigi and Kelsey a condemning stare and Kelsey, in turn, looked at Luigi helplessly. She wasn't very comfortable being here.

"I'm sure I can teach her some fighting spirit. My name is Rulue, the fighting queen."

Rulue abruptly bounced off of the ring and landed before Luigi and Kelsey, lunging out and grabbing them. If Luigi and Kelsey were unable to wrestle free of her grasp, they would find themselves being hauled back up to the boxing ring, at which point the two of them would promptly get body slammed into the rings in a show of impressive strength. Who body slammed a person with one arm? Rulue, apparently.

Kelsey for one was unable or unwilling to try and break free, and was promptly slammed against the ground. It was just as brutal as it looked. "And I have gone far too long without a demonstration of strength, so you're going to have to be my students for the day!" Rulue would go on to remark, striking a fighting pose. She seemed to challenge the two of them to attack her.

Metal Sonic noted how this mine did not seem connected to the attractions... Still, it warranted investigating so he walked forward into the mine. His eyes were quite capable of seeing in the dark as they glowed red in the darkness of the cave. The jester seemed to require a source of light however as he summoned one and Metal Sonic ignored it.

Then there was... a three headed dog... His data banks recogonized this kind of creature as a Cerberus. Eggman did create a machine named after it... Or did he? The info on that war with Sonic seemed almost nonexistant... Almost as if it was written out of continuity as it ended... Ignoring that strangely meta thought, Metal returned to staring down the dog. This dog would dare defy him?

Metal Sonic first wanted to see if this dog was as cowardly as the mermaid. There was no fun in fighting something that would not fight back. The metallic hedgehog pointed a finger at the three headed dog and spoke. "We require a search of the area. Stand down or face anhilation," Metal Sonic threatened. He tested the dog first before he would kick the thing that was only useful for robot fuel.

"Don't-a you mean progr-AHAAA!" Luigi yelped as Rulue landed before him and Kelsey and grabbed them.

(p_1d20+5Impact) "AAA-DOOH! Oohoo..." He groaned as he and Kelsey were bodyslammed into the ring in a feat of strength that was as painful to experience as it was to witness.

Luigi looked up at Rulue, then back to Kelsey. Then back to Rulue, then back to Kelsey. Clearly Rulue was not Kelsey. Nor did she smell like her. 
But more importantly, Kelsey wasn't going to fight back and Rulue wasn't going to back off.
He considered running away, but he couldn't leave Kelsey behind to get dismantled. Also Rulue wouldn't likely let him get away if he tried.
There was only one honorable thing he could do.

"W-w-w-wai-hai-hait!" Luigi called, signaling the time out hand sign. "I-I-I'll-a!" He announced with a gulp "Acce-hept y-your challenge. B-But only if you l-let my friend go!"

Luigi volunteered to stand and fight for Kelsey. It's what Mario would've done.
He didn't like the idea of hitting a woman, much less getting beaten by one. Not one bit. There was no winning this. But he had to play anyway.

Metal Sonic and Jester Guy - Water Park

Jester Guy just sort of looked at Metal Sonic as the metal warrior threatened that cerberus puppy. For a moment, it didn't look like Cerberus was fazed at all by Metal Sonic's words. However, the puppy abruptly became distracted by something beyond the metal warrior. If Metal Sonic turned to follow Cerberus' gaze, he would discover ...Wait what? Jester Guy was gone, and in his place was a very tall, horned man.

Wait--what is happening now?

Jester Satan approached Cerberus and calmly pat the puppy on the head, handing her a solitary bone before meandering past her deeper into the cave. Within moments, the three heads began fighting over the bone. It seemed that Metal Sonic had been robbed of yet another chance to fight ... or so it seemed. The smell of sulfur grew stronger as one went deeper into the cave, the walls turning a nice red clay color. One would have to ask themselves what Cerberus had been guarding, and why. Could the mirror really have been lost deep in this cave? Why would Jester Guy have even been here in the first place? Questions.

Meanwhile, Rulue considered Luigi's proposal. After a long moment, she waved a hand dismissively at Kelsey. "...Fine! Why don't you make yourself useful and clean this place up, Squish?" Rulue would reply. Kelsey did not seem amused by her new nickname, or with the disgust Rulue dismissed her with, but she reluctantly pulled herself up and slipped out of the ring all the same. "As for you... I believe it's your turn. Show me your punch!" Rulue would go on to command, striking a fighting pose. She seemed to wait not-so-patiently for Luigi, staring him down with a certain intensity in her eyes. Off the ring, Kelsey was ... oddly enough attempting to clean the place up, as per Rulue's request. Huh.

Metal Sonic was not amused with the disrespect he was getting from this three headed mutt. He was prepared to strike until he noticed the heads were focusing on something else... Metal Sonic slightly tilted his head before turning around to see someone else in place of the jester... He seemed capable of turning into a doppleganger as well... Interesting... Except the Metallic Hedgehog did not really have access to that technique at the moment. If only he had his Neo Metal Sonic upgrade to perform it...

The synthetic Sonic gave a glance to the distracted Cerberus before ignoring her. He followed behind what was supposedly the Jester as the area got hotter. The area seemed rather hot in this cave for some reason... What exactly was that dog protecting? Metal Sonic was starting to become curious of the situation.

Luigi stood there in dreaded anticipation. He knew he just stepped into a lose-lose situation, but it was worth it to help a friend. At least that's what he told himself. Had he given this any more thought he would've talked himself out of it. Which even if he did it's kind of too late for that.

Luigi weakly waved Kelsey goodbye as she slipped out of the ring. His focus snapped back to Rulue with a squeak of fear.
"M-my punch?" Luigi blurted nervously, shaking in his proverbial boots, but literally shaking. Not only wouldn't he punch a woman, he wasn't all that great at punching. What he was great at however, was throwing off opponents by surprising them.
"Uhokay...H-here we go-!"
He was willing to try anything at this point, so instead of a punch he threw out an
