The Froslass floated back into the air after Cynder got off her and her angry stare changed to a more calm, yet somewhat down look. Shaymin gave a small flinch at the word Distortion World but no other reaction. It was just a brief reminder of Giratina, no reason to freak out. The Froslass gave a small little laugh at Paula's suggestion of them being close because of their names. "I assure you, it is more than just our names. I really look up to Frost. He always does what he thinks is right no matter the danger and is always cool in the heat of battle. We have been through so much to do the right thing... but Frost can be a little... overconfident. I worry he will get in over his head. I know you will probably have trouble getting through to him. Frost is not the one to listen to the enemy easily. I am sure though if you give him the mercy of my plead in a predicament he knows is dire, he might listen," Frost said, though there seemed to be more to it with her expressions than her words showed.

"As for the Distortion World, it is a realm connected to the world me and your friend came from. Giratina was banished there for his brutality by Arceus," Froslass said to which Shaymin's stare seemed to have gone blank as their memories suddenly flooded back. "... From your friend's reaction, he is one of the extremely small group to actually see that place. They could tell you more than I could dream to. Now, I take my leave," Froslass said before fading away and the blue glow leaving with her, returning freeze status and fire to normal.

Shaymin was shocked back to reality by their cape like flower glowing purple and making them scream in pain for a second before subsiding. "... We can not unfreeze everyone here, it would take too much time," Shaymin said, looking at the frozen bodies. "We have to get to the flower before Frost. If there is anyone here you want to unfreeze you can, but we should head out immediately afterwards." Shaymin said, before looking at the Luma. "You showed an interest in that star guy earlier, right? We should just unfreeze him before heading after the Glaceon. We can get the others either when we come back or report the incident," Shaymin said before walking towards the entrance that leads deeper in, limping a little as he was still recovering from the pain.

"I see, your respect for him sounds wonderful." Paula said to Chill. "Don't worry...We'll try and get through to him and give him any kind of mercy he wants!" Paula said looking at Cynder and Shaymin...Who looked scared and motionless when the distortion world was mentioned. "Shaymin?" Paula said wondering what was wrong with Shaymin, when he suddenly cried out in pain due to the flower on his back glowing purple, Chill soon left as Paula waved goodbye to it.


Shaymin quickly asked Paula to unfreeze anyone that was important the most in the area...Mostly the Luma that belongs to Rosalina, they would unfreeze the others later. "Sure...I guess." Paula said as she ran towards the people that were trapped in the blocks of ice, she went towards the Luma and tried to unfreeze it.

Paula watched cheerfully as the Luma was free from the block of ice, the fire soon spread but quickly stopped as Paula looked at the Luma. "Your free...Now go back to Rosalina, she's looking for you!" Paula said to the Luma showing the Comet Medal to it as she ran back to Shaymin and Cynder. "Ok looks like were done around this area...Lets go find Frost everyone." Paula said as she followed Shaymin.

As the Froslass' story continued Cynder's empathy grew. There was a pang of familiarity in the tale which softened the dragon's cautious glare at the pokémon. With a quiet sigh she relaxed and tried to understand enough of what was being said so they could get this job done. It sounded pretty straightforward at least. Cynder's frown returned once Chill had faded away with the blue glow of the room, considering what was to come while Paula unfroze one of the little plump stars.

"I'm not sure being told dark tales of horrifying places is what we need in a dank dark cave," Cynder quickly piped up in reply to Paula's inquiry as the trio moved deeper into the complex. She didn't want to sound negative, though her voice held a certain understanding of topic. It was more a cover to give Shaymin a chance to not have to answer should he not want to. He could of course decide he wanted to get a weight off his chest and enlighten his two partners. "Let's just psyc up and get this flower, resolve these frosty pokémon troubles, and then get to a nice sunny field where we can swap stories," suggested the dragoness with a more [forced] cheery energy.

The Luma gave a blink as it was successfully thawed from the ice. The girl that freed them mentioned Rosalina. "Momma sent you? Thank you! I will go find momma right away!" The Luma said before disappearing in a flash of blue light.

Shaymin continued walking as he heard Paula ask about the Distortion World and gave a flinch in response. Shaymin did not want to say no to Paula but he also did not want to think about that place more than he had to. Luckily Cynder kindly gave him an excuse to evade the subject for now at least. "I agree. It is too cold and dark in here to talk about it. It is a bit of a long story too... I can tell you when we are someplace warmer and brighter," Shaymin agreed as a light appeared in the tunnel. They entered a large circular room with a cave entrance on the opposite end of the room. "The flower is right on the other side of that entrance!" Shaymin said in confidence, happy this adventure was near it's end. Shaymin ran forward but stopped when there was a familiar crystalization of the air that made a near unbreakable wall of ice. The same happened for the way they came in too. Frost was already here but where was he?

"It would seem you made it past the ghost that haunts these caves. You are the first group to do that. Impressive," Came the voice of the Glaceon as he stood on an elevated cliff high up in the large cavernous room. "However I will still be the one that gets that flower. Thank you for telling me where it is by the way." Shaymin gave a small instinctive growl at the mocking tone of the Glaceon. The Glaceon then jumped down and skillfully landed on the cave floor. "It's about time we end this little game. Winner gets the flower. Of course it will not take much to stop you three!" Frost said confidently as he got into an aggressive stance.

Paula listened as Cynder and Shaymin both reacted negatively when Paula wondered if Shaymin would give the two information on the Disortion World, looks like nobody is interested right now. "Sorry...I was just curious." Paula said as they finally made it through the dark tunnel and into the same room where the flower was, Shaymin was extremely happy to find the flower, however Paula was on the look out for Frost.

"I'm not sure we can get the flower that easily..." Paula said as the trio soon heard the voice of Frost, who quickly appeared and jumped infront of the three. "Impressive." Paula said to Frost as he challenged them to a fight, with whoever wins gets the flower...However Frost soon boosted that the three of them would be easy to defeat.

Paula's finger was set alight a little bit, since she thinks Frost can be talked down and she dose not want to make Chill sad should they try and beat up Frost to teach him a lesson...She'll wait until Cynder and Shaymin are interested in doing that first.


"Frost, surely there's a way we can handle this dispute for the flower...Why do you need it, because Shaymin here needs it more then you so far...And your friend Chill respects you and dose not want anything bad happening to you...Which Is why we should handle this peacefully and try to find a way to deal with your goal another way...Or are your more interested with fighting your problems?"

There he was. The arrogant jerk that had made this little endeavor more of a pain in the arse than it should have been. Cynder's eyes narrowed, stance dropping low as if she was ready to pounce. Her claws curled up to chip the ice beneath them as her other pointy bits were brought up in a menacing fashion. Chill wasn't exaggerating about the glaceon's overconfidence; lucky for the trio. While Paula rebutted with the suggestion that there was a more peaceful way to resolve this the dragoness took slow careful steps away from her partners to begin circling Frost. Sharp teal eyes never leaving his form as she went.

"She more than 'respects' you," Cynder spat as a follow up to Paula's plea. "And you're just leaving her in that place: the Distortion World." Her voice was practically a hiss with her seething anger toward such mistreatment to a close companion. A twitch ran down her spine causing her tail to suddenly flick harshly against the ground with a resounding clatter when iron met the floor. She began to slick her teeth with venom, but managed to keep herself rooted despite how she wanted to get this little lesson started.

Shaymin maintained a lowered position as Paula and Cynder spoke to Frost but did not add his own words. His slight shiver at the mention of the Distortion World being the only sign there was focus outside Frost's move. Frost on the other hand gave a bit of a glare at Paula for saying he had nowhere near as much need for the flower as Shaymin did. His glare changed slightly into a look of surprise however at her and Cynder's mention of Chill. Frost went back to a glare however at Cynder's suggestion but this time pointed it at the dragoness. "I would never do that to her! She wanted to help me in whatever way she can and I did not want to refuse her. My connection to her already tells me she is fine. Besides, she knows how important our mission is!" Frost spat.

"I can not tell you what I need the flower for but what you know is not a deciding factor in whether I need it more. So they need proof to see a guy for info they might get for a cure for their 'allergy to the Contamination? As if that is of a high enough reason to warrant ignoring the unknown!" Frost continued which disrupted Shaymin's stance and gave a stunned expression.

"H-how did you know about that?" Shaymin asked.

"You three are no different than anyone else. You only think of yourselves and what you need to live in comfort. So what if someone is dying and needs a cure you are collecting? You don't know the guy or why he needed it so his options do not matter? I question why there is a legendary for a fool's dream like gratitude. I am actually looking at the big picture and you three write me off because you are so narrowminded you can not even wait to see another's reasoning before passing judgement. You think I am really going to just give in to you kind of people? This is pointless..." Frost went on before giving a down look. "It is time I put you ignorant fools on ice!" Frost exclaimed before suddenly a hailstorm summoned itself inside the cave. Immediately after the hard chunks of ice fell from the sky, a powerful snowstorm blew through the cave.

Paula listened as Frost and Cynder began to spit words at each other which climate in Frost given a speech on how selfish the trio was, more so on Paula and Cynder for trusting a complete stranger to get a cure for his illness...Paula just looked down and took the words the Glaceon said.


But there is one thing Paula is not.


And it is being selfish.


"No were not." Paula said suddenly looking up to Frost and calmly gave her own "Speech" to the Pocket Monster.


"We are not selfish Frost, were just trying to survive just like you...Our friend is hurt and he'll probably get worse without that flower...Not to make you angry but all your doing is hiding away your problems by fighting, if you can tell us what's going on we can help you...But no all your doing is being what you think we are, being selfish, by trying to get a flower, knowing full well that If you do a Pocket Monster will be very sick because of your own reasons...If you want to do something right then you need to trust us.


So...What's it going to be Frost...Selfish and selfless?"


Paula waited for an answer and quickly got it when Frost summoned a hailstone and started shooting ice from the newly made clouds at the trio, Paula quickly tried to jump out of the way from the ice.

Paula did not get out of the hail fast enough and was quickly pierced by the ice and fell on the ground, she quickly got up and looked towards Frost once the hail was gone. "We don't want to fight you, Frost...But if we, unfortunately, have to knock some sense into you...Then so be it, at least, you're getting what you want." Paula said to Frost as she flew towards the Pocket monster and tried to shoot some Fireballs at him.

After shooting the fireballs, Paula quickly flew back toward's Shaymin and Cynder to avoid becoming a very easy target for Frost.

Every word seemed to send a tingle of annoyance down her spine and caused her iron nails to dig harder and harder into the solid floor, but she listened. She knew she was in no mindset to bargain or convince; not that this dog would listen to anything they said. Chill said it herself, Frost would only listen when the situation was dire. So they'd just have to put the pokémon in such a spot.

Her nostrils flared, sending out little plumes of black smoke in a haze of heat. She was glad he'd started things off and wasted no time in jumping forward. In the same instant Frost had summoned a storm cloud that began to riddle the cave with pellets of hail. This fact was but a gnat buzzing around her head as Cynder set herself upon Frost. The same could be said of the fireball racing ahead of the dark dragon to their target. That may have been what aided her in dodging the fierce whipping of blizzarding winds that Frost summoned along with the icy bullets raining down on them all. The wisp of heat trailing behind the ball of flames pulling air and softening the hail as the angered dragoness rocketed behind it.

As she approached the shadows of the dimly lit cave room darkened, the shine of glinting light bouncing around the ice and reflective metals suddenly becoming stark. Her tail lashed, iron claws spread and clattered against the icy onslaught whipping around them. All sound seemed to quiet as if leading into an ominous climax. Cynder delved into her most warped element: fear. A tint of red radiated out from her body, outlining her pointed features like a devil out of hell. She was upon the glaceon, leaping through the air, about to sink her iron bits into him. But first, sound returned. A horrifying screech ringing out and echoing through the chamber, pulsating over and over as it fed back into itself as an all encompassing noise tearing at everyone's eardrums.

It had only briefly been considered that the siren scream would also affect her two partners. The dragoness' focus was completely on the blue four-legged creature in front of her. And if he didn't move after being subjected to her cry she would have him in her clutches.

Frost gave a smirk though it was hard to see him through the hail that was falling due to his Snow Cloak. He did give a bit of a laugh though at Paula's words. "I am not hiding away my problems from anyone. In fact I think you take my words the wrong way. They were not directed at you. And my words was not to imply selfishness," Frost said as he watched the fire from Paula approach.

Frost easily jumped to the side and let the fire soar by before continuing. "People can't just seem to see past their own perspective. Your knowledge was immediately judged as more important despite you not knowing my reasoning. Sorry, but I am not letting this go so easily. There is too much weighing on this. More than you might know," Frost finished before suddenly the dragoness was upon him.

Frost heard the powerful fear envelop the area as he stared at the Dragoness. Despite the best of his efforts he was not fully prepared for the frightening act and felt a bit of intimidation from the Dragon. He was too frozen to move out of the way of the claws but got knocked back and skid a bit before straightening himself.

There was something about Frost's words that felt like they were not entirely against Paula or Cynder. For some reason, most of his bitterness seemed to be against Shaymin for some reason. His distaste for Gratitude and other words seemed to point more at the Sky Warrior than the other two. His reply to Paula made this more obvious. But Shaymin did not remember this Glaceon. Why would he have a grudge against them?

Shaymin woke up in time to dodge the howling blizzard by reflexively cutting the air currents to disrupt the attack from hitting him. When he looked to Cynder though he could not help but feel some fear rising.

Shaymin was nowhere near as brave as Frost Everfreeze was. The terrifying move frightening him so bad a jade glow enveloped him and turned him back into Land Forme. Shaymin hid in the corner in fear and did not attack due to the terrifying attack. It would appear the move had a much higher effect on their own ally.

As Frost recovered from the hard blow he did not waste time in a counter. He opened his mouth as it gave a cyan glow before chomping down onto Cynder's Leg with a frosty bite in an attempt to freeze her.

After performing a powerful Ice Fang and weather or not he was able to clamp on, a bright blue ball appeared above his head. The ball fired a large beam of absolute cold that would try to blast through Cynder to hit Paula.

Paula watched as Frost told Paula that what she said was wrong and that he seemed to have a bitter hatred towards Shaymin, making Paula confused since Shaymin said earlier that he did not know Frost, she spoke again. "Shaymin doesn't know you, why do you have a vendetta against him?" Paula said waiting for Frost to answer, however it was cut short when it was Cynder's time to attack, the dragoness used an ear piercing scream that could possibly break some icicles nearby and struck fear on Frost and Shaymin, Paula just stood there and looked at Cynder as Shaymin turned back to Land forme and hid in fear while Frost was "Frozen" in fear.

"Meh...I heard worse." Paula said as Cynder attacked Frost, while Frost got out of his fear and tried to bit Cynder in the leg, before firing an ice beam toward's her and Paula. "Look out, this could bring bad new's to us If It hits." Paula said as she tried to get out of the way of the blast.

Paula did not dodge on time and was hit by the ice beam, encasing the girl in an ice block like the poor unfortunate victims in the other part of the cave. Lucky for her right arm was the only part of her body that was not hit by the blast and so she tried to punch the ice in hope's of breaking it and realising herself from her ice prison.

When she realised that she only managed to make a tiny crack with her fist, she instead fired another blast of PSI fire toward's Frost, before trying again to release herself from the block of ice by punching the ice.

She reveled in the brief moments of weakness reflected in Frost's eyes as her fear seeped into him, allowing for her claws to get a few rakes in. Unfortunately though she wasn't quick enough to follow up with anything else before the glaceon gathered himself and made for an icy bite at her leg. Perfect, he didn't retreat. From before she had charged toward him with her fear element she had slicked her own canines with venom so it was a simple task of countering with her own venomous bite as the pokémon lurched in toward her.

Regardless of its outcome though her opponent instantly reared back, a ball of cool light forming in an instant over his head. It fired at a nearly point blank range with Cynder having no hope of dodging thanks to her attempted retaliation chomp. Her only saving grace was due to her close proximity to Frost, and his attempt to catch both Paula and Cynder in the blast. Cynder was only caught on its edge thus avoiding the depth of the freezing attack. Unfortunately her cheery ally wasn't quite so lucky as the dragoness noted from her peripheral vision. Shayman also seemed to have not taken her siren scream too well either. Cynder huffed, a haze of heated air shooting from her nostrils. It had been a gamble she would gladly repeat if she was to do it again.

She needed to keep the pokémon's attention away from Paula so the girl could free herself from the ice. But with all these area and status effects being flung around it seemed the best way to accomplish that was to just keep attacking. Cynder opened her wings, making herself twice the target and blocking any good view Frost could have on the psychic. She attempted to keep between Frost and Paula, practically insisting the dog go through her first. Though, due to all her movements being dedicated to this task it would be difficult to line up any melee attack. So that just left her with her shadow fire.

Following a deep breath Cynder released a continual stream of her warped fire, blackened fog erupting from her mouth with an uncomfortably humid heat. Thanks to the hail storm whipping around the abilities tendency to remain hovering in the air for a few moments was negated, but as long as she kept the continual stream going while tracking Frost's movements it would be annoyance enough.

As Frost latched onto the dragoness her own teeth looked to be brimming with poison. If he did not retract quickly her bite would surely lead to painful venom running into him.

And the Glaceon quickly took himself off the Dragoness and jumped back as he teeth missed him. The dragon was looking more and more intimidating but he could handle this. The girl was frozen now so he should have no issue focusing on the dragon. As he thought this however, both the Dragon and the girl fired attacks at him. However with the magical nature of the attacks he was able to put on a weak grin. It looked like they both fell into his trap. As the shadow fire seemed to consume him it just went into his now shiny fur and caused it to turn black. As this occurred, the shadow fire was redirected right back at Cynder and did not affect him at all.

The same went for Paula's Fireball as it collided with the Glaceon's body, it merely turned red before sending the attack right back at the girl. "Isn't it a great technique? It is called Mirror Coat. Trying to attack me with energy or magic while my coat is shining will just cause you pain. Now it is time for me to attack!" Frost said before breathing out a frosty breath that was chilling to the touch at Cynder. "That is none of your concern and I doubt you would understand."

Frost realized Shaymin was his primary target and tried to get around the dragon but he felt blocked.

Shaymin meanwhile, continued to try and recover from the great fear she felt.

Shaymin was feeling a little more confident and was gathering the strength to fight. However they need a bit more time before they will feel the power to fight back again. Right now they were too scared to do much of anything. They had to focus on the ability to be brave and continue the fight.

As Cynder and Frost continued to fight Paula focused on trying to bust herself out of the ice prison she was in. "Come on...I just need to punch hard enough..." She thought to herself as she tried to punch herself out of statue again.

After numrous failed attempts to punch herself free, Paula tried to punch the small crack she made eariler, which quickly grew bigger until the Ice Sculrpture she was trapped in broke into pieces, releaseing herself in the process. "I'm free!" Paula said to herself as shelooked at her bloody Knuckles. "Oh yeah...My knuckles might need stiches now." Paula said as her looked towards the fireball that was coming towards her, she quickly tried to jump out of the way.

Paula got hit in the stomach by the fireball, but quickly kicked it away from the battle before looking at Frost, who was having trouble getting past Cynder so he could get to Shaymin, Paula soon stood beside Cynder. "Looks like she's not the only person you have to take down." Paula said as she took out her pan and tried to bash in on Frost.

Well that was an unpleasant turn of events. She knew how strong her enveloping fire had spouted from her maw and seeing the continual spew of flame fighting against itself as mirror coat reflected them back in equal force was a very bad sign. As long as she kept breathing nothing could happen but she couldn't breath forever and then it would all come back to her. Nostrils flaring once again, tail slashing against the ground, Cynder ceased her breath weapon and watched it shoot toward her with Frost's own breath attack trailing close behind. There was no time to dodge her own, and since it was her own element she wasn't too worried about it as her ultimate is literally wrapping herself in it. Thus her focus was all on avoiding the frost breath.

As the black clouds of her shadow fire hit her and hung in the air for but a second Cynder activated her bubble shield, the frost breath smacking harshly into the barrier. It wouldn't be able to take much more of that, but luckily it didn't have to. The dragoness enveloped herself in her corrupted shadow element and sunk into the floor; the shield disappearing. Unfortunately this now left little between Frost and Shaymin, but it did give Paula a clear chance at the pokémon.

The dark circle denoting Cynder's whereabouts shot toward Frost in the meantime. If special attacks were going to be useless against this smug dog she'd just have to stick to the basics. When she was within melee range the iron claws from her wings rained out of the dark hole, attempting to slash and jab at Frost's legs and underbelly.
