Alyssa
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon
Alignment: Lawful Good
Motto: "One day I'll be a heroine people remember!"
Allies/Friends: None
Enemies/Rivals: None
Backstory: Alyssa is a young upstart heroine who idolizes fashionable heroes and magical girls. She is attempting to make a name for herself. Trouble is, she's the least threatening person in her guild and usually gets relegated to housework and other duties due to the fear that she simply won't come back if they send her out there to do actual explorer work. This is mostly because of her diminutive appearance, as she's a literal walking snack and simply doesn't inspire confidence at all based on appearances. A prey species, if you will. The sort of pokemon that heroes have to protect.
In spite of that, Alyssa worked hard to try and earn the respect of her peers, so she was well-liked, which arguably made it all the harder for them to send her to her supposed demise. However, Alyssa very much did not enjoy not being taken seriously, and she constantly pushed for more and did her best to surpass her limitations.
Appearance:
History On Li: Alyssa arrived on Li after wandering off in search of adventure, only to wind up in a kitchen on some chef's plate as if she had just been reborn. After scaring each other and fleeing the kitchen while the chef chased her, she managed to free herself from being someone's dessert by escaping him and wandered out into the city in search of her old friends. However, she was completely lost. Eventually, someone noticed she was in need of help and she was able to get a specialized housing unit--a refrigerator. It was a comfortable place that eased the natural loss of creme that qualifies as her equivalent to hunger, and turned out to be immensely cheaper than a proper house.
She has since taken up Karaoke in an effort to attract attention to her singing abilities and get a job doing something she loved, however so far she has been chased out of several establishments by people hoping to take a spoon to her instead, as the supernatural effects of her singing had unexpected consequences when combined with the way people perceived her. She has actually had it very rough in terms of trying to make friends as a result, but is slowly working up the courage to go out on missions and live her dream in this unfamiliar, alien world.
Primary Attacks (3)
Psyshock [Psychic]: Alyssa conjures up pins and needles made out of psychic energy around a foe using her mind and attempts to pincushion them! They vanish moments after impact. This move has a +1 to it's accuracy and a crits on a 19+ She takes 1% Exhaustion damage when using this move, and this move has a 1 turn cooldown. [DMG 8-18%]
Psychic [Psychic]: Alyssa attempts to grip a target with psychic power and then either throws them or applies a crushing force. She takes 1% exhaustion damage each time she uses this move. [DMG 20%]
Alluring Voice [Fairy]: Alyssa sings with an enchanting voice that captivates and compels others, exhausting the emotions they need to fight and leaving only the emotions her singing evokes in their place. While it does technically affect allies, it does not 'damage' them because instead of robbing them of the emotions to fight, it just reaffirms their desire to fight on Alyssa's behalf. Targets roll defense twice, once to avoid damage and again to avoid being infatuated. However, it also has a 10% chance to cause Alyssa to lose her voice each turn represented by the gagged status for 2 turns, which raises by 5% every time she uses this move. Only a good night's rest can reset the chance of losing her voice. 1 turn cooldown. [DMG 15+Cha Mod%]
Special Attacks (3)
Coward [Dark]: Alyssa has a chance equal to how much health she is missing to be affected by the fear status each turn so long as there is some sort of danger nearby. However, she can still try to break the status before taking her turn. As a result though, she's become somewhat good at being an opportunist. For every 10% damage Alyssa has accumulated, her critical hits do +1 damage. The crit threshold of any move she uses is 1 less than stated on the move itself.
Decorate [Fairy]: There's a saying, dress for success! Alyssa puts it into practice. She can decorate herself or an ally for a specific purpose, boosting a stat modifier by +2 and either reducing damage taken or increasing damage done by 4 (Alyssa's choice). Alternatively, a sabotaged version can reverse the move's normal effects. The decoration has 40 HP and takes damage whenever the character wearing it does. It's effects are reduced by half when it reaches half HP. Applying a new decoration takes 2 actions and it takes 3 turns after a decoration breaks before a new one can take effect.
Metronome [Psychic]: Alyssa wags a finger and uses a psychic power to activate the unknown regions of her brain, utilizing a move she didn't even know she was capable of! She cannot stop using the move once she starts, but she knows what it does and can change the target at the last moment. Roll a die with sides equal to the number of options below to decide which move.
Final Smash (1)
Gigantimax [Dragon]: A wishing star embedded in Alyssa acts up, causing her to gigantimax! Being gigantimaxed works like an improved version of the mega status. She suffers a -2 to all dodge rolls, however she also takes -5 or half damage (whichever is better) from all attacks and all knockback against them is negated. Her base strength and constitution increase by 10 within the limits of the stat cap and her damage done is increased by 1.5x. Lastly, eating the gigantimaxed creme making her up heals 8 HP as a light comboable or 20 HP as a regular action and only damages her for half the damage healed. Lasts for 3 turns.
Other Info: Alyssa obeys my Pokemon Damage Type Modifiers.
