Backstory: Olivia and Sophia are a pair of sisters and aspiring martial artists who set out on an ill-advised journey to achieve enlightenment and immortality by tracking down legendary treasures of the world and invading sacred places to draw power from them. On their way they beat up a great amount of mighty foes and made a few friends. They also awakened new strange powers uncommon to the average pokemon and discovered magical weapons to aid them on their quest.
Miraculously, they actually succeeded, at least partially. Olivia became achieved a level of enlightenment and awakened an unusual aura potential for her species that she never had prior to her journey. Sophia became immortal... several times. However, they caused a lot of trouble for folks along the way and made enemies in high places, winding up relatively alone in a world that was simultaneously terrified of their exploits and out to get them for revenge. Sophia specifically committed crimes against several divine beings to get where she is.
Thankfully though, their enhanced abilities gave them protection against those that would put an early end to their adventures.
History On Li: Olivia and Sophia entered Li after climbing the largest mountain in their region of the world. When they looked back down over the land, they were in a different world, atop Frozen Peaks. They were able to spot the life sphere from up in the mountains because of it's big shield, which got them a bit more curious than the storms of starvia because of how unnatural it looked, something they'd never seen before.
Then they moved back down the mountain and traveled to investigate, initially horrified by the metal and concrete city built by odd creatures unlike anything they'd ever seen before. However once they got a feel for the city they realized it was more similar to their own world than it was different and calmed down, agreeing to help with whatever they're able to. Though still being kids, they aren't actually that good at things which aren't fighting. So they mostly just caused more innocent trouble for folks.
Olivia's Moves Primary Attacks (3) Dizzy Punch: Olivia makes a series of rhythmic punches using her ears. On a successful critical hit dizzy punch stuns the enemy instead of dealing extra damage. This attack is comboable. [DMG 8%] Low Kick: Olivia uses her ears to prop herself up and swings her lower body at someone, attempting to knock them off their feet! If they get hit they have to make a CON save against the attack roll or get knocked down, stunning them. This move can only be used once a turn. [DMG 12%] Bounce: Olivia jumps up really high and tries to land on someone. This move can only be used once a turn. [DMG 20%] Special Attacks (3) Cosmic Power: By meditating and becoming spiritually one with the universe, Olivia becomes more massive without changing size. This works like the metal status, only she's not actually metal and tunes out pain so well she can't feel it. This move has a 3 turn cooldown. Lastly, bounce deals an extra 5 damage when Olivia has this buff. [DMG 0%] Focus Punch: Olivia channels ki into her fist at the end of one turn. If the first attack aimed at her next turn doesn't hit her, or no attack was made at her, she gets to use focus punch in retaliation. If she's hit by the attack though, she loses her focus and the attack fails. [DMG 30%] Detect: Olivia uses her sixth sense to detect the ki of approaching enemies. She can detect them even if she couldn't see them normally. This allows her to react to their intentions before they move, dodging with wisdom instead of dexterity. She can only use this ability on every other attack though. If she uses detect to succesfuly dodge an attack and rolls a 16+, her first attack against that enemy gets a +2 accuracy bonus on that turn. [DMG 0%] Final Smash (1) Healing Wish: Olivia spreads her ki to her allies, giving them the strength to keep fighting at her own expense. Heals everyone but Olivia for 80 HP, and Olivia takes 60 recoil and passes out, falling asleep. Allies gain her Cosmic Power buff. | Sophia's Moves Primary Attacks (3) Bone Rush: Sophia attempts to beat a target down with her compliant rod! Roll 1d10 to determine how many attacks she makes as a single combo. 1-4 = 2 attacks, 5-8 = 3 attacks, 9 = 4 attacks, 10 = 5 attacks [DMG 8%] Force Palm: Sophia smacks the enemy with her palm and a blast of ki is fired through them to explosive effect. It has a 20% chance of paralyzing the enemy. This move can only be used once per turn. [DMG 20%] Close Combat: Sophia gets in close and deals a series of devistating whacks with her compliant rod. She relies on an overwhelming offense to keep her safe and let's her guard down, taking 4 more damage from anyone not hit by her attack on the follow-up turn. [DMG 26%] Special Attacks (3) Stop: By pointing at the target and uttering a word of power, Sophia can disrupt their ki, preventing it from getting to their muscles, depriving them of the energy they need to move, paralyzing the character mid-motion. This works like the frozen status except there's no ice. [DMG %] Transform: Sophia can transform into anything! Taking other forms is easy enough, but fighting in them is harder. She has to make a wisdom check whenever she wants to attack in a form that isn't her own. If her wisdom roll doesn't also beat the target's defense roll, her attack deals -8 or half damage, whichever penalty is lesser. [DMG 0%] Double Team: Sophia creates shadow clones of herself. Unlike normal versions of this move, hers are capable of attacking and interacting with the world as if they were real. She summons 1d4+1 clones with the move. Each clone has 10 HP taken out of Sophia's HP pool, or less if she doesn't have enough HP to give them that. While there are clones active, she gains an extra action and attacks that hit her have an equal chance of hitting any of her clones instead. Any clones alive at the end of 3 turns return to Sophia, and she regains the HP spent creating them. 3 turn cooldown [DMG 0%] Final Smash (1) Gigantimax: Sophia and her weapon grows to kaiju height and she terrorizes her enemies with overwhelming power. This move functions like the mega status, only the damage reduction is increased to -8, the strength bonus can break the stat cap, and she can make generic crushing attacks for 30 damage or eat normal sized enemies whole. |
