Backstory: Witch is a nameless braixen from the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon universe who was raised by witches to take up the art of their occult craft. The town she lived in was hostile to witches though, with beliefs about them similar to both real world and mythological witches, at least some of which might've actually been accurate. Witch's parents were found out and she lost them, narrowly avoiding her own death because of her age
Instead, she was put into a new family entrusted in 're-educating' her and forcing her to turn her back on everything she learned from her parents in favor of being a model citizen. It was framed as mercy and saving her soul, but their methods were far from gentle or kind. She was stubborn and genuinely loathed the town for destroying her family, desperately wanting to hold on to who she was. And while they ultimately broke her resolve, all they ultimately wound up doing was crushing her self-expression and teaching her to hide her true feelings.
That hatred really stuck with Witch, but she had little other options, as even if she managed to run away her survival prospects in the wild were limited. She never escaped, up until the day she was transported to Li.
Appearance:
History On Li: Immediately upon arriving on Li, Witch took off to enjoy her newfound freedom. The whole world wasn't available to her, but compared to the house she wasn't often allowed to leave back home it was paradise. She enjoyed sleeping outside, and she enjoyed not having anyone care about what she was up to. She took jobs and worked toward getting her own clothes and her own broom and her own spell components, desperately trying to reconnect with her memories of the past.
However, she had missed many years of teaching and growing up, and now found herself lost. She was crushed, but realized she would just have to chase her lost childhood and try to become the witch she knew she was meant to be. But she couldn't just ask anyone. She had no idea what might happen to her if she did. She'd just have to be clever about how she sought out knowledge.
Primary Attacks (3)
Will-O-Wisp [Fire]: Witch summons a ghostly ball of fire from her wand to chase down a foe. It burns if it hits, but can't be used more than once a turn. [DMG 10%]
Psybeam [Psychic]: Witch fires a strange ray of multi-color energy from her wand that shocks the mind of the person it hits. It has a 10% chance of causing the mind-melted status. [DMG 15%]
Overheat [Fire]: In a desperate bid for more power, Witch spews her internal fire at maximum intensity, coating the area in front of her in flames and sticky liquid fire that behaves about like napalm. This fire afflicts a fire-based mortal wound. Overheat is really harsh on Braixen's body though, and she takes 10 damage when using it. She also gains the sickness status. This move can't be used more than once per turn. [DMG 32%]

Copycat [Psychic]: Witch tries to mimic another character's move. She rolls against an enemy's move to copycat it, succeeding if she beats the roll. She then counters the move by casting it back at itself, nullifying it with a clash. Alternatively, she can attempt to dodge it and fire back at the target. A failed dodge doesn't stop her from copycatting the spell, as the dodge is a separate, second roll. She can then remember the spell imitating the move, though she can only keep 3 improvised spells at once. [DMG 0%]

Magic Coat [Psychic]: Witch can counter status causing moves, summoning a magical barrier that can reflect them back at the user with the counter roll as it's accuracy if it beats the attack roll. She can only reflect moves if their combined secondary effect chance is higher than their damage. This move has a 2 turn cooldown. [DMG 0%]
Final Smash (1)
Double, double toil and trouble [Fire]: Witch summons a giant cauldron with an awaiting searing broth and nearby enemies are sucked into it. She then stirs it for a few moments before anyone who survives the attack is comically ejected into the air. The stew can then be enjoyed like a food item, with 3 uses for every enemy caught in it. [DMG 30%]
Other Info: The gagged/silence status may stop her from using any move that requires an incantation, but not moves that just use her wand.
Being grappled or the swallowed whole status, or some other way of physically restraining her may stop her from using moves that just use her wand, but won't stop her from using any move that just requires an incantation.
Typing Strengths and Weaknesses
- Witch is Fire/Psychic
- She is immune to damage coming from an extremely hot environment, but automatically fails rolls to resist damage coming from freezing cold environments Submerged environments will deal 4% damage to Witch every turn, down to a minimum of half her health, unless they are uncomfortably warm submerged environments.
- She takes -10 damage from heat-related attacks. However, she takes +5 damage from water or ice attacks.
- She is immune to the burn status. However, the soaked status deals 4% damage to her every turn and the frozen status deals 8% damage every turn.
This character uses my move type damage modifiers.
