Porky's Factory, a desolate and nightmare fueled building that was filled with strange creatures and monsters and facilities meant for... "research". It was a miracle this place was still functioning but that was not there objective right now. The Observation Deck was the place they had to get to judging by the message from the boy. There was a foul odor in the air, a quite intoxicating one around the building. There was also a strange slime all over the place and was that... Moaning? There seemed to be a kind of zombie infestation near the Observation Deck. A lot of bodies shuffling around although they almost seemed to be looking for something...

Either way it definitely seemed the deck certainly was no safe place for a boy and his dog. Between the smell and undead trying to break in the Deck may not last too long even with it's high amount of defenses. This Factory did always have an odd affinity for people that liked to play around with the dead...  That aside, it is time to get to the person that left the message and their dog before the undead decide to do it first. Also avoid stepping in the sticky and slimey areas... It's pretty disgusting looking.

The lion sniffed once, tongue hanging out as the stench permeating through this damn place infested his nostrils. Massive arms dangled to his side, body slumped over, his eyes with no true observation other than his predicament. Nowhere else on his world, except for that scented candle shop when he was younger, had caused his smelling capabilities to go as haywire as this place did. Worse, everything smelled terrible. All this was going to do was mask any hopes of finding this boy and his dog faster. Combat was not going to be fun either. Benedikt knew he was going to be fighting in order to rescue the mission sender, but rescue missions involved darker, more cave or dungeon styled mazes, not an old factory with the stench of one thousand deaths at every step.

Heck, the slime looked more enticing to step in if it meant not smelling anymore of this crap. Much as Benny wanted to go in alone, he needed the back up so he can have at least a little assistance. Ignoring his animal senses was going to be a trying task. If anything, a fight might be the relaxation his nose required before returning to his usual demeanor. Placing his hands on his hips, the lion began to pace as he waited. Standing there in a sour mood was not going to fix a single issue. Man, what he will not do for a shower right now, "Ugh, if this keeps up I might have to go back and leave the poor kiddo in the hands of whoever else shows.."

Where normally a Charizard’s Rock Smash was necessary to break through a door or a window, some expert positioning was all Red needed to clip through the crack in the window and sneak into Porky’s Factory.

“…!?” Before he could celebrate his stealthy entrance, Red had to cover his nose. The air in this dump was unspeakably foul! The place smelled like it was crawling with Poison Types. Or maybe even a Ghost-Type for that matter. Red might’ve taken a detour to hunt one down to add to his team, but he was not here for that. He was here to track down a Psychic-Type. An old friend of his: Lucas.

Back during the war against the Subspace Army, Lucas helped Red track down and capture the Pokémon he still uses on his team today. He even saved his life that one time. And even if he didn’t owe him for that, Red’s friend was in trouble and nothing was going to stand in his way of saving him.
And right now, saving him meant finding the Observation Deck. After locating Ivysaur and Charizard in those Ancient Ruins, an observation deck in a facility like this shouldn’t be much harder… That odour might complicate things, though.

So off Red went, trekking deeper into the factory when suddenly: the first random encounter of the mission: A wild Pyroar appeared? It wasn’t a Pyroar. It only looked like one. Its mane not being on fire was a dead giveaway.
“…?” Tapping the not!Pyroar on the shoulder to get his attention, Red greeted Benny with a look of curiosity. Equal parts sizing him up and guestimating in his head how tall he was and how much he weighed and equal parts asking if he was there looking for the same boy and his Rockruff. If so, they probably needed each other’s help.

"Ugh, this place smells like death..." A young woman's voice bemoaned the foul odor plaguing the air. "We could've invested in some gas masks..." she then complained, looking around the environment for something, anything that could let her breathe normal air. "Even so, we are somewhat short on funds, Mythra." a deep voice replied. "We wouldn't be able to afford masks for everyone, and by that, I mean the four of u--" "I know, okay Wulfric? I just wasn't expecting this place to be this bad on the stench depar--ADENINE DON'T TOUCH THAT! IT COULD KILL YOU!" "Easy there, Mythra! I'm taking all the necessary precautions." Adenine reassured.

“Hey, while I do like a bit of banter, can we move on? We’re keeping the others! --Adenine, please don’t touch that sludge.” Rex called over to his group. “Aw...okay…” the curious Blade relented, catching up with the young salvager and the other two Blades. The group of four characters reached over Benedikt and Red. “We’re here! I’m Rex! Sorry if I kept you guys waiting! These are my Blade friends, Mythra-”

“We’re here to help you guys find Lucas! Have you guys got any leads before we came here?” Rex questioned. “I’d certainly appreciate it. The earlier we find the kid, the sooner we can get outta here...and away from this stupid smell. Ugh, I feel like I’m gonna be sick…” Mythra added in her own head...no wait, she actually said that out loud.

"Yeah, they are pretty ungrateful," a voice of... something small and high pitched came from... whispering trash cans near the party's arrival as the factory may be hard to bear but there was... some other oddities here as well as the trash cans hopped themselves suprisingly quickly to the trio and their allies of additional trios and popped open... Oh dear god, the smell got even worst. "Hey, you know this smell is not so bad when you get used to it. Much more pleasant than the smell this place usually has. You should really stick around," the... was that a living creature made of mold in a trash can? How the heck did that thing come into being?! Well, either way it blew a stench most foul with it's words. It was extremely nauseating for everyone in the air.

(Everyone! The Putrid Moldyman is speaking an odor most foul! Roll a 14 or higher in CON to endure his foul stench or you will become down with a terrible Sickness and can not, due to unwillingness to ingest anything, eat any consumables for the duration of Sickness due to Nausea.)

"Hehehehehe, lay off them, Moldyman. I am sure they just need a bit of... Hehehehehehehehehhe, convincing," the slightly less smelly but not helping at all ghost in a trash can said to his friend with a huge grin on his face.

"You know, blondie, I think you just don't like this delightful smell because judging by the glowy thing on your chest you were born in a Uranium Landfill of a dumpyard. Sorry this place hits a bit close to home but them the breaks," the flies called out... rather rudely, seeming to try and provoke Mythra into making her driver mess up with her rage.

Once a soft tap rapped upon his shoulder, though most interactions upon his being felt soft at this point, the lion came out of his stupor and turned around. From high on his mountainous figure, ragged eyes stared into he who dared to garner the monster's attention. Eyes narrowed as the man attempted to regain his focus among the wretched stench. Thinking, sneezing once, then thinking again. Right, there were other people he was waiting for, "Hey dere guy! Dot nobody was gonna show up, and it was gettin' bad in here with the, uh, I dink you know by dis point. Ugh, my dose." A massive hand reached for his carrying pouch, and he pulled out a rag.

Something he was going to have to clean later.

"Scuse me,"Benedikt said, facing away from Red and blowing his nose into the cloth. That was better. Folding up the rag, he made it a point to be careful with where in his belongings he placed it. Once he settled in, the man forced a grin and opened his maw to speak, though caught sight of the rest of the rescue entourage. Nice mix up, the lion had to admit. A chuckle escaped his throat, taking note of the names Rex, Mythra, Wulfric, and Adenine, "Good to meet yous guys. Just call me Benny. Huh, not sure what dis guy's name is. You're, uh...?"

He looked down at Red, the man scratching at his mane, expecting a proper response. Up to this guy for the most part. Hearing the blonde girl complain about the stench, Benny's maw grew wide again as he pointed at her, "She gets it! Dis place is messing around with my dense of smell and my dose ain't feelin' so good. It's messin' with how I dalk, too. Aw man..." His ear twitched as the man took note of something most foul. Even more so than the stench wafting about the area as it were. Every inch of fur, even his mane, began to rise on the lion's body as it violated his nostrils.

The man stumbles back, his bestial sense of smell taking in the full capacity, the lion's hands covering his nose, "Doh come oooon! Dat's bein' meeean." Benny slouched over, making an attempt to regain some form of composure. His stomach growled a troublesome growl, a slight whimper emitting from this monster of a beastkin. In fact, this whole ordeal ticked him off something fierce. But he knew where his horrible stench came from, and it was more obvious once he considered the rest of this place, "YOU!"

Once more the lion stumbled, but rushed at the Putrid Moldyman. He did not like this thing at all, and by no means was he ready to be friends with a demon who dared to foul his mighty sense such as this one! The beast rushed forward, delivering a right hook, left hook, then a knee to the trash can.

Red could only shake his head and permit Benny a moment to blow his nose. He could only imagine how badly a creature of his size and nasal capacity mush be suffering in an environment like this. And his misery would soon receive company.

Red turned to greet the... fascinatingly dressed party joining them with a tip of the hat. Or was he pointing to the red coloring of his hat to clue them in on his name? It wasn't like he could open his mouth to talk and risk breathing any more of this toxic air.
“...” Red assumed a pondering pose before eventually shrugging. As much as he whole-heartedly agreed that the sooner they found Lucas, the sooner they could get the Houndoom out of there. This factory was all unfamiliar territory for him. The only strategy he could devise yet is to.wander around until a random encounter.
Speaking of random encounters. A wild Poison, Ghost and Bug Type appeared!

They found it! The epitomic source of this disgusting smell, and by being in their very presence, Red had been overwhelmed in ways a Poison Type’s gas had not done prior. He cringed and covered his nose and mouth, cupping his pale face in his hands.
Holding his nose tightly with one hand, Red fingered a pokéball into his grip in another. Tossing it at the Putrid Moldy Stinky trio, he unleashed Squirtle, who promptly held his nose too.
“Squirt Squirtle?!?” He harshly complained about the stench.

"Nice to meet ya, Benny!" Rex replied with enthusiasm, offering a handshake. He’d let the hand stay for a while for the big lion to shake it. Afterwards, he’d turn to the other man, who...pointed at his hat? Well...specifically that red region. Red… “Wait wait wait, allow me to attempt to decipher this enigma!” Adenine interjected. “Let’s see...you are trying to answer the lion’s question by...signalizing your favorite color?”

“So...he means his name is Red or some variation thereof.” Mythra surmised. “Well...nice to meet ya too, Red...if that’s your name!” Rex then said, extending his arm, but before he could offer a hand to shake, his attention was drawn to--those...things.

"...What in the…?" "Did that trash can just talk." "Yes, it did." "How very interesting! Should we take it to investigate how it functions?"

Needless to say, Rex and his party of Blades were...confused at the new faces. However, the confusion on Rex's face quickly wiped off as the putrid smell started to get even worse. "Heads up, everyone!"

While the party of Blades resisted the smoke, the salvager hadn’t been lucky. He immediately started coughing. “Ugh...this smells so bad…” Rex groaned. Despite the sickness, though, he picked up the shimmering white sword resting on his back. As he held it, the sword splintered open, as bright green flames started to stream out of it. The Leftherian boy slid into his combat stance, and Mythra stepped close to him, as a soft blue aura started to surround them both.

Adenine and Wulfric nodded at the two before they shed their physical forms, leaving them inside their special Core Crystals. The two differently colored crystals flew over to Rex and stuffed themselves onto a bag of his. With the theatrics over, Rex and Mythra were about to jump to action…

...or well, they would've jumped immediately, hadn't been for the insult thrown at the Aegis.

"Excuse me?" Mythra asked, her voice rising a little. "What did you just call my birthplace?” Rex shivered as her tone grew colder and more menacing. “Rex. Sword.” Mythra said, gritting her teeth. The salvager didn’t even try to talk back, instead just giving the sword to Mythra as the blonde approached the flies. “Let me see you talk smack after I pulverize you!” Mythra yelled as the green flames emanating from the sword suddenly grew larger. “Photon Edge!” Mythra called, hacking and slashing away at the No-Good Flies.

"Don't hate the truth..."

"DAN! STEVE! IRWIN!" The Moldy man cried out in terror as the three flies could not withstand the attacks by the turtle let alone the angry Blade and fell down in defeat, fading away. "They were jerks but they were such nice company..." the trash can monster remarked solemnly after being shaken by Lion Man and the Flaming Sword Guy and Gal, although he was... oddly mobile in there, actually evading some hits. The smelly ghost risen from beyond the trash can after being shooken by one Hydro Pump and the sword being brought down. "The boss ain't gonna like this, hehehehe, how about we turn their numbers back on them?" the trash can ghost suggested before looking upon the few, regenerating the health of the Putrid Moldyman by... very few. In one sudden lunge, he threw himself at the Squirtle, attempting to pull him into the Trash Can with him for some reason. If he succeeded it would close with a beatdown before spitting the turtle out, probably leaving not only a foul smell but also something extra.

The Putrid Moldyman meanwhile looked extremely unhealthy... if you could of called him healthy to begin with, and rather angry before raising his arms and releasing into the air very moldy spore like particles that are probably extremely bad for you.

Their team was pounding these jerks in quite well! A grin etched itself on the lion's face, cracking his knuckles, "Yous dinkin' you can, sniff, dinkin' you can dake me down! Try again ya jerk!" He shook his head, attempting to focus on the fight instead of his condition. Being sick was far from pleasant. Last time the beastkin was sick he ate something that had just a tinge of green on it. The apple should not have been that bad! It was just an apple!

However, this was not going to bode well as Benny caught sight of the ghost in a trash can attempting to mangle the blue turtle. Thing. He growled, lowering his stance to pounce the ethereal jerk, "HEY! Dop messin' with da tur-" Benny found himself cut off, as the other trash can decided it was funny to throw spores on everyone.

Inhaling the spores, and perhaps allowing one to get into his mouth by accident, the lion hunched over. "Ooooh geez. I'm not feelin' so doo ... uh .. so good," he said, the undersides of his eyes a faint purple as though he gained black eyes. In addition, tinges of red stained his cheeks, the blood rushing through his body in order to sustain himself. Growling, Benny glared daggers at the two trash can fiends, "I'M GONNAA DEAT YOU DERKS DOWN, AAAH PPFEW, YA HEAR ME!"

Rearing back his arms, the man rushed forward spiraled into a double lariat, namely his self made tornado Spartan Lariat.

“…” Oh great. Another chatterbox sucking up all the good air. Just what we need right now.
“..!” Red affirmatively flexed his eyebrows at Mythra, signaling that she was correct about his name.

“..?” Red had to do a double take at what he saw through the corner of his peripheral vision. Did those two just…turn into Crystals? These obnoxious gasses must be making him hallucinate! He had to focus. Especially because Squirtle was under attack!

“Squirt! Squirt!” Using the wetness of the floor left over from his last Hydro Pump, Squirtle slipped out of the way of the Smelly Ghosts Trash Can at the last second. Not taking kindly to being implied to be trash, Squirtle retorted with another hearty Water Pump straight in the Smelly Ghost’s Face.

"The only truth here is that you talked smack, now you get hit for it!" Mythra shot back, smacking the three flies with the almighty Aegis hand before they flopped to the ground and vanished, the other two enemies moping about their fallen comrades. The Smelly Ghost then mentioned something about a boss. "So you guys have a head honcho, then." Rex spoke up. "How 'bout you tell us where he is right now?" he questioned as the anchor in his left arm shot at the ghost and pierced their red body. Rex would then pull the ghost towards him and hit it with the blunt of his sword, sending the thing to the ground and perhaps even toppling it.

Whether or not the ghost would snitch or not, Rex would afterwards call his blonde Blade. "Mythra, switch!" he said, throwing the sword back at her. Once grabbing it, Mythra closed her eyes and began changing her form to something else. Golden locks gave way to a short red hair, her white outfit soon changed to crimson clothes, and even the sword changed form! A pair of tender red eyes replaced the haughty gold ones as her eyes opened again. "Pyra, hit it!" Rex voiced, causing the redhead to nod. With a twirl, she pointed the sword at the Smelly Ghost. "Flame...Nova!" she chanted, as she lifted the sword up and a sudden burst of flames would attempt to engulf the ghost from below!
