"Hey~! We drew in a really big crowd!" Black remarked, waving to the fans in the stands. The seats were lined with cheering people, with some even spilling out into the isles without a place to sit! It would be accurate to say that the stadium was unusually crowded. "I guess this is what happens when a world famous celebrity enters the arena." White remarked, passing a glance at Black. Black snickered at the remark. "If I'd realized what a big show this was going to be, I would've dressed up in costume!" Black excitedly replied. "Hey Snivy, are you ready to perform? We've got to give these people their money's worth!" Black encouraged. <Every day is a performance when you're this good at acting.> Snivy replied, not that anyone could understand her, much as her body language radiated a smug confidence. "...I don't think you have to pay to watch the fights." White awkwardly replied. "--Huh? How do they earn money then?" Black asked. "I have... no idea. I know people place bets on all our matches though. Maybe they just take a cut of that." White thoughtfully replied. "Oh cool! I guess the crowd must really like watching battles! I bet we can make a lot of people happy by putting on a good show then." Black said. "...I thought you didn't like pointless fighting." White remarked, taking notice that Black's pacifism appeared to have gotten lost in her pocket somewhere. "My pokemon light battling." Black softly corrected. "What better place to flex than here in the open stadium, where the fights are controlled and for sport?" Black added. White hesitated a moment. It seemed they'd found a middle ground where they could both battle just for fun. Incredible. She was briefly stunned by this revelation.

N wrung his wrists nervously, looking up at the large crowd that had gathered in the stadium. He wasn't exactly comfortable with this many people around, and it showed. In contrast to the demeanor N normally had, he was looking straight ahead, trying to block out the crowds cheers. Luckily, there were familar people in his line of vision to distract him. Swallowing his nerves, N addressed his opponents.

 "Black. And White. It's been a while." N said. He hadn't seen these two in quite some time. He didn't even know they were here, actually. "We'll have to catch up later. But if it's a battle you want, then a battle you shall receive. Zoroark! Darmanitan!"


N threw two Pokeballs, and in a flash of light, two Pokémon appeared. A black, fox-like Pokémon with red highlights, and a bright red ape-like Pokémon with long arms and a big smile.

"Zoro!"

"Dar!"

"Ready when you two are" N said, facing Black and White again.

The two younger girls had to flinch as a familiar face approached them, looking up at N with a mixture of expressions on their face. The shock on their faces could not be understated, though. Black was the first to recover, beaming brightly and waving at N. "--Hi N~! It feels like it's been a while, doesn't it?" Black asked. Adopting N's Zorua, one of many pokemon he had relied upon and then released during his own journies, being saved from Ghetsis, traveling to his castle and accepting his legendary dragon after an intense battle. Agreeing to help N on his quest to help humans treat Pokemon better. She could see seasons coming and going before her eyes. Each time, she'd sought N out. Each time, he'd had a new team. And yet, she felt as if no time at all had passed. She wondered if that could truly be possible. ...It didn't matter. "Right! We've got to catch our pokemon up too!" Black remarked, glancing toward a snivy just kinda chilling on her shoulder in a lazy fashion. "Snivy's ready! What about your pokemon, White? Are you going to use Vivian for that amazing type advantage??" Black eagerly asked, but White's gaze was still frozen on N. She was taking a lot longer to recover.

" . . . "

The last time White had seen N, it was right after she'd defeated him in a battle so intense it had nearly destroyed his gigantic castle in the process. Her breath ran shallow and her blood ran cold. She'd been thinking about what she wanted to say and do when she finally found N for ages now, and yet he'd left her speechless with his brief and to the point introduction. After a few moments, she turned her gaze down and hid her eyes with the brim of her hat, a smile crossing her face. He seemed to understand what she wanted, so why prolong things with discussion?

A single pokeball was plucked from her purse and she primed it, the ball expanding to a fuller size that fit snugly in the palm of her hand. From it, Tepig emerged and took the battlefield! She snorted competitively, a fierce grin on her face as she laid eyes on her opponents. She then curled into a ball and beginning to spin out, kicking up dirt where she laid for a moment before abruptly launching outward toward Darmanitan, kicking up a huge cloud of dirty as she tore up the stadium floor with her rush! "Is that Sonic??" Amy blurts out from the stands, rushing to interfere!

Tepig's wild assault was unfocused and perhaps heavily telegraphed, though she would keep slamming into Darmanitan with repeat charges if she got a hit in, refusing to let her momentum stop. <Bam! Look at this bacon sizzle!> Tepig quipped as she stopped her roll, only to abruptly burst into flames and break into a charge! She once again attempted to slam into darmanitan, this time enveloped by a fiery power that... probably didn't add much to her attack, all things considered.

Finally stopping to catch her breath, an aura of heat now wrapped around Tepig's dirt stained body. Leave it to a pig to relish the idea of getting dirty. It looked like she was getting fired up for something bigger, though.

Meanwhile, Black beamed at N. She took a deep breath... before beginning to... sing? "It's been a long time since we crossed paths over space-time~♪ We may not know where we're going~♪ But as long as we're together...~♪ I don't really mind~♪ You and me~♪ Fighting together for all to see~♪ No matter what may come to be~♪ I'm sure our fates will be kind~♪" Black remarked in an up-beat, sing-song tone, steadily growing from a calm tempo to a bouncy energetic one as she went on.

" . . . Alright Snivy! Leech Seed!" Black commanded. On cue, Snivy opened her mouth and launched several seed-like pits out at Zoroark! They would immediately begin to sprout and cling to the zoroark if they hit, sapping strength to be returned to their owner.

"Now, while they're recoiling from that, hit them with an energy ball!" Black commanded. Snivy pionted her nose up into the air, forming a glowing ball of green nature energy above her that pulsated rapidly with power. She then shot it at Zoroark, attempting to catch the pokemon mid-dodge from her previous attack for an easier hit! The ball of energy had an odd ... smell to it, and seemed to have a weakening effect beyond its initial impact force, as if there were something mind-altering about the energy itself.

N smiled at Black and White, happy to see his friends again. Especially White. There wasn't exactly a heartfelt goodbye when they last met, but White's silent smile told him as much as he needed to know about how she felt about seeing him again. With re-introductions out of the way, the battle could begin!

While Tepig's first roll caught Darmanitan by surprise, the rest didn't fool him as easily. Easily sidestepping Tepig each time she came back around, Darmanitan flashed a smile as Tepig charged him again. Although instead of the winning smile Darmanitan usually had, his teeth glowed with heat. <Bacon, hmm? Well, then allow me to have a taste> Darmanitan quipped right back as he launched himself at the porker, flaming jaws open

On the other side of the arena, Zoroark was doing the same dance with Snivy. As the Leech Seeds flew toward Zoroark, she basically vaporized out of existence, only to reappear a few feet away, smirking at Snivy's attempts to hit it.

Unfortunatly, Zoroark wasn't fast enough to avoid the Energy Ball, and as it impacted her, something in her head went a bit off. Everything felt sluggish, and she wasn't able to get a clear grip on things.....oh dear.

"Zoroark! Get a grip on yourself!" N shouted. But it was no use. Zoroark's mind wasn't clear, and soon her thoughts started taking form around her, in the shape of dark blobs, that started homing straight for Snivy!

Tepig's eyes were wide as saucers the moment she heard those words.

Tepig scrambled to get out of the way so fervently that she tripped all over herself in a comedic fashion, though she managed to throw herself backward all the same. She then planted her front feet into the ground and spun around to face Darmanitan, her nose held low to the ground and her behind in the air like a cat ready to pounce. She was leering sharply at Darmanitan, a solitary sweatdrop running down her face. < . . . I'm flattered, I-I really am, but I'm not that type of girl.> Tepig sorely replied after a moment.

Meanwhile, Snivy attempted to dodge Zoroark's dark pulse attack only to get snagged in the middle of her jump. She went rolling across the battlefield, picking herself back up and cringing rather hard at Zoroark. She looked a little freaked out after taking that attack.

Tepig was the first to act. She burst into flames and rushed Darmanitan again,  this time skirting underneath the much larger pokemon and attempting to plow into one of his legs!

Tepig then turned tail and attempted to whip Darmanitan's knee with her tail! It took on a metallic sheen and a shocking weight mid-swing. Say goodbye to ya' kneecaps, knucklehead.

She then fled from underneath Darmanitan, only to come back around and go in for another Sonic impression with her rollout attack! It was once again heavily telegraphed, though.

...Meanwhile, Black was having a harder time with Snivy. The snake pokemon didn't seem to want to fight anymore. " . . . C'mon Snivy! We're supposed to be heroes! Nobody will believe we're heroes if you back down once things get scary! Let's show Zoroark how brave we are!" Black encouraged, attempting to snap Snivy out of her stupor.

Snivy reluctantly got back up, focusing herself for the upcoming battle. <Fear is no excuse for giving less than 100%!> Snivy remarked, scolding herself. She then summoned another energy ball and shot it at Zoroark, not at all dissuaded from getting Zoroark really, really high going after Zoroark's mind!

She then followed this up by taking a deep breath, gagging slightly and then spitting an especially large seed at Zoroark! This seed, in addition to being a little gross, would explode violently on contact with a solid surface, whether that be Zoroark or the ground.

"Give it your best shot Snivy! There's nothing that can keep us down~!" Black cheered from the sidelines, bouncing on her feet in joy as she watched the display. Snivy huffed, seeming to regain her earlier smug composure and shake off some of her pain.

Darmanitan fell face first into the dirt as Tepig darted out of the way. He tried to get up and try again, only to get knocked over again when Tepig plowed into his back, sending him splayed on the ground. Slowly getting to his feet again, Darmanitan turned to face his opponent again.

Only to get nailed in his rather weak kneecaps, sending him collapsing on the floor again. At this point, Darmanitan's temper began to flare. <You cheeky little porker!> Darmanitan yelled as he got to his feet. Limping in a circle, Darmanitan tried to keep his eyes on Tepig as she rolled around and around him again

Launching himself toward Tepig again, Darmanitan's jaws lit up with flame for a second time, this time with pure fury.

...Meanwhile, Zoroark wasn't having a very good time. Her mind wasn't co-operating with her, and to make matters worse, she had briefly lost control and let her dark thoughts take over. Giving her head a shake, Zoroark tried to focus on Snivy, and avoiding her attacks

The sound of a squealing pig could be heard as Tepig once again freaked out and scurried away from that bite. This time, however, she kept running and skirting around, kicking up dirt as she frantically dodged and weaved, trying to evade the rampaging pokemon. <AAAA!! He's a confirmed bachelor, and he's going to EAT ME!!> Tepig squealed in terror. <...Oh no. His apartment must be a dump~!> Snivy remarked, poorly feigning concern in a mocking tone. <EAT!! ME!!> Tepig shrieked in response, directing Snivy to the more critically important bit. <Tempting! But no. Spicy food isn't my thing.> Snivy replied. Tepig squealed incoherently in frustration. Hey you can't use that kind of language here. This is a kids show! "Looks like Darmanitan is really getting into the battle." Black light-heartedly remarked, observing what was going on. Normally a pokemon as panicked as Tepig was would raise red flags for her, but she already knew White's pokemon well enough to know that Tepig

Snivy had ... marginal success dodging Zoroark's attacks, getting scratched up in the process. <...Have you ever wondered why we say things like that if we have no systems of money in the wild? I have. I'm an actor.> Snivy replied rather sassily. Black and White glanced at each other for a moment, seeming to clue into something. "...Tepig! Help Snivy take Zoroark down! Time for a strategic double team to tilt the odds!" White commanded. They'd been playing neutral until now, trading blows and largely ignoring the whole 'team battle' thing.  It was time to change that. She was confident they could take Zoroark down if could just get one or two turns of really solid hits in. <Stay away from the lady eater! Got it!> Tepig breathlessly squeaked, making a beeline for the illusion pokemon. <...Right now I'm imagining myself as a beautiful thief, about to pickpocket every pokedollar you just took back off you.> Snivy remarked in a devilish tone. Tepig curled into a ball mid-charge, devilishly rushing to crash into Zoroark at a rolling speed! Once again, she leapt out of her roll and burst into flames, violently throwing herself into a flaming followup hit!

But this time, her flames rapidly grew in intensity, and she explosively rocketed fourth a third time, attempting to drive Zoroark across the arena and slam her into the wall of the stadium!

Meanwhile, Snivy took up the rear and launched another energy ball at Zoroark as she closed the distance again!

And then, once she'd closed back in, two vines covered in what appeared to be hairs. These hairs, however, were actually needles that would sting quite painfully as she moved in to try and grab Zoroark with the vines. <Come to mama~!> she crooned.

...And then she promptly spit another leech seed at Zoroark, attempting to sap more strength from the pokemon she and her teammate were currently bullying.

<Hey. HEY! Get back here and let me pulverise you!> Darmanitan shouted as Tepig ran off, hardly paying him any mind. Zoroark, meanwhile had her claws full. Trying to swerve around the charging Tepig, while simultaneously trying to avoid Snivy's attacks, was.....really difficult

Well that was.....a trip. While Zoroark did manage to get out of the way of the absolute worst of it, everything else was simply too much for her. As the Energy Ball slammed into her, she hit the ground hard, and didn't move. She was completely unconscious.

"Zoroark!" N cried out. As much as he wanted to rush to his Pokémon's side and tend to her, he couldn't do anything until this match was over. He held out a Pokeball and pulled Zoroark back in a flash of red light. "You are strong. The both of you" N said softly. "Just as strong as you were when we last met."

<You....> Darmanitan's voice carried softly across the arena, a sharp contrast from his usually brash demeanor...…<YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT!> No wait, there it is. A furious Darmanitan charged at the pair responsible for his partner's defeat. Raising his fists and coating them in flame, he swung them at both of them, intending to flatten them

Black beamed at N, rather pleased with herself. "We've been working hard to grow stronger alongside our pokemon." White explained. "Mhm~! Even though humans usually have an easier time communicating, training other people is much harder than training pokemon." Black thoughtfully observed. "...Are you sure about that? Dawn seems to handle you just fine." White replied rather sassily. "That's because she's an excellent trainer~!" Black asserted rather eagerly. Turning her attention to N, White offered him a rather friendly smile. They were both putting some really pretty smiles on display today. "Although humans have a lot less trouble communicating with each other than they do pokemon, a lot of the time people talk to each other without really 'understanding' each other. The truth is that words are the source of all misunderstandings. I feel like you might know that better than most. Black tried being another person's pokemon, just to better understand what it can be like." White offered and explained, her smile only growing. she took a moment to think about what she'd just said, though.

" . . . Y'know, I bet a lot of people would say that teenage girls are one of the hardest groups of people to understand." White went on to muse aloud, drawing a little snerk from Black who was taken off guard by the remark. "...It seems like you might be drawn to us, though." White went on to relent. It was perhaps strange, just how inviting White was right now. Black was certainly as loving and open-hearted as ever, but last time White and N had met it had been on somewhat ugly terms--their clash in N's castle. The secret, of course, was staring N in the face. She'd begun traveling with Black during that time, and it had changed her. Black had kept her promise, and was working to change the minds of people around her.

Tepig just kinda... continued running away from Darmanitan, not wanting what he was dishing out. Tepig, being a snake, wormed her way around Darmanitan's attacks in an almost overly casual fashion, wiggling and squirming her way free of each blow at the seeming last moment. "Ooo--Don't look now, but I think I'm getting popular~" Snivy snarkily remarked, feigning excitement.  "Sorry buster, but I'm only rich in protein and hard knocks. Hope that's enough." Tepig added in, turning back on Darmanitan now that he was a partner free man with no one to stand up for him. Snivy likewise turned on him, revealing their plan. "Careful, I just got this tail curled." Snivy aloofly remarked, wagging her tail a bit as if to model it for Darmanitan. ...And then she spat a seed at him with contempt.

Snivy then conjured an energy ball again and turned her tail, using it to throw a literal curveball at Darmanitan! With a little smack with her tail, she put a real spin on her energy ball as it careened toward him.

"Don't tread on me!" Snivy remarked with a note of venom in her tone. ...Hah. She's a snake. Oh shi-- Aura surrounded Snivy's body, tainted a black and purple color by darkness. A small portion of the audience roared in alarmed outrage, mistaking this for a starvia aura. This aura was then dispelled in the form of a shockwave being launched at Darmanitan!

Meanwhile, Tepig rushed Darmanitan again, fire cloaking her body as she attempted to ram into him with intense speed!

"I think it's time we saw OTHER PEOPLE!" Tepig remarked, glowing with a bluish aura as she crouched down and attempted to throw herself into Darmanitan's chest with enough force to send him flying! Woah! Where had such a tiny pig gotten all that strength?!

Not quite finished yet though, Tepig rushed after Darmanitan and curled into a ball, attempting to run him down with her rollout attack!

...Before breaking free and, in a reckless display of aggression, once again attempting to Flare Blitz Darmanitan! Flames streamed from her nose, creating a trail of fire behind her  as she leapt out of her ball shape, attempting to plow into Darmanitan!

N nodded thoughtfully when he heard White's words. "Perhaps you're right." he said. White seemed a bit different then when they had last met, but N was glad for the change. They hadn't exactly parted on the best of terms. Perhaps it was the time with Black that triggered this change of heart. N started to reflect on this, only to chuckle softly at the mental image of Black being someone else's Pokémon.

<Oh, I wouldn't dream of ruining your curls> Darmanitan taunted back, sidestepping Snivy's seed with ease...before stepping into the following Energy Ball. Giving his head a shake, he jumped over the shockwave of darkness, sidestepped Tepig as charged past him, and started readying up an attack. He was blindsided by Tepig, as she had pulled a quick U-turn and slammed in the chest. <Alright, you want to play like that? Fine. Be that way.> Darmanitan growled. He moved around Tepig again as she spun past him, although her second pass clipped him on the arm. 

The Blazing Pokémon was starting to get fed up. These two ladies were toying with him, and he was losing his temper. Or he'd lost it already, and now it was getting worse. <Alright. If I wasn't mad before, NOW I AM> he snarled. Coating his fists and teeth in flames, he dove toward Snivy. Fire's supposed to be a weakness, right? Darmanitan swung a left hook, a right hook, then snapped his jaws. He hoped at least something connected, because he was starting to lose it. Maybe Snivy's curl would get ruined after all..

"--Kyaaa!!" 

Snivy was bashed around and worse yet, bitten with a sickening crunch! This was simply no way to treat a lady. ...Then again the pig might be the lady between the two of them, somehow. She awkwardly picked herself up, a rather painful looking bite mark trailing down her body. However, she staggered and collapsed. Tepig leapt in front of her, turning tail and whacking Darmanitan with it! Her tail glew with a silvery sheen as she did this, lending it a lot of extra weight. She knew Darmanitan couldn't afford to simply take this attack, and so she used it to drive him back, putting herself between him and her fallen comrade.

She then glanced back at Snivy. "Boys can be jerks." Tepig remarked rather standoffishly as she stared at Darmanitan. "Tell me more while you finish bashing his head in~" Snivy commented, feigning interest rather snarkily. Tepig squirmed ever so slightly at the remark. "H-Hey. Someone has to practice chivalry around here! He was going to eat you!!" Tepig defensively pointed out. Snivy seemed taken off guard by Tepig's choice of words. "...Chivalry??" she asked in confusion. "Yeah. It's all about taking care of women. I think..." Tepig replied. Snivy chuckled. "...Chivalry is only practiced by humans, Tepig. But... thanks." Snivy weakly remarked, succumbing to her wounds for a moment. "...Are you going to be okay?" Tepig asked. "Yeah... Don't worry about me. So, what now? Do I lay you an egg to show you my appreciation~?" Snivy snidely replied as she got back up, feigning a willingness to go along with this. Tepig squealed loudly in response, a look of horror coming over her. "Wh-What?? D-Don't say those things!! That's lewd... and weird..." Tepig sorely replied, huffing and turning about and running off to take out her frustration on Darmanitan! Rushing toward him, she began this time by coating herself in flames and attempting to ram him!

This time, she used the momentum from her flare blitz to try and drive Darmanitan into the wall of the stadium, curling into a ball and rolling into him repeatedly with great force!

"Ooh... That looks really bad... Hang in there Snivy! Just a little bit more and we'll be done for the day~!" Black encouraged. There was no sense in pushing her pokemon any harder. They were already challenging their limits. Snivy finally recovered from her injuries--or rather got over the shock and pain with some help from Black. Turning upon Darmanitan, she aided Tepig in putting the gorrila pokemon down by launching an energy sphere at him the moment Tepig's attack ended!

"...Tread on THIS!" Snivy venemously remarked, spitting a rather large seed at Darmanitan that would explode violently on impact.

Darmanitan smiled. Looks like his attacks were working. But now was no time to relax, Tepig was coming in hot.....or heavy, as the case may be. Darmanitan moved to get out of the way, before holding his arm up and blocking the Iron Tail outright, knocking her away.

Darmanitan barely got out of that intact. The little pig was proving tougher then he originally thought. And the snake wasn't making things any better. But he had to keep going. N was counting on him.

That determination helped him leap out of the way of Snivy's attack, her seed bomb was waiting for him. As the explosive seed blew up in his face, Darmanitan flew through the air and landed in a heap in front of N. He tried to push himself back up again, but it was just too much for him. Darmanitan collapsed, unable to continue fighting.

N watched the still form of his downed Pokémon, his face impossible to read. Was he upset that he lost? Or impressed at Black and White's skills? Honestly it was hard to tell. Raising Darmanitan's Pokeball, he recalled him, then turned to the trainer duo with a small grin.

"Just like when we last battled together." he mused allowed. "I see that I still have a long way to go if I ever want to accomplish my goal. Especially in this new world." He approached Black and White and outstretched his hand for a handshake. "You've improved. Both of you. I look forward to battling together with you in the future. Perhaps we can work together to bring Pokémon and the beings of this world together in harmony. Just like in Unova." With those words, N turned and left the Stadium. He was eager to get out of here. The crowds were starting to make him nervous again.
