The wagon of a nomad sits before you, and is small in size. In the front, normal wares like useless baubles and trinkets. Upon seeing the gleam in your eyes, or pockets if you bear Comet Shards, the woman in the cart waves you around, and opens her eldritch wares for you to witness.
"So the legends are true, and the comet has fallen. Trade your shards here, I can reward you with gear to help further your journey. Put your coins away. I wish only for comet shards."
NOTE: Comet Items are passive or multi use in the Comet Falling event area, but have one use per thread otherwise! You Cannot buy two of the same item!
ALL COMET ITEMS CAN ONLY BE USED ONCE PER THREAD OUTSIDE OF COMET EVENT AREA
Lens of the Comet
Shard Cost: 50
Effect: On activation, enables a second hit on ranged attacks at -75% damage, but locks out that ranged attack for the rest of the fight.
Effect in Comet's Glow: All ranged attacks double their amount of times hitting, but reduces all damage per hit by 50%. Activate to have all ranged attacks deal full damage for one turn, once per fight.
Smoking Skull
Shard Cost: 50
Effect: On activation, user gains +2 dodge roll modifiers for the next three turns, but suffers -2 dodge roll modifiers for the rest of battle.
Effect in Comet's Glow: Character gains +1 dodge roll modifiers versus Husk enemies, and +2 versus the Miller. Activate to instantly stun The Miller. One use per fight.
Dirge For The Devoured
Shard Cost: 75
Effect: On activation, the next ally buff (not self buff) lasts for +2 additional turns, but that same buff cannot be used again for the rest of combat.
Effect in Comet's Glow: All buffs, self included, last 1 extra turn. Activate to increase all buff effects by 3%, once per fight.
Heretical Passage
Shard Cost: 75
Effect: On activation, allies heal 2 additional percent when healed. Self heals heal 1 additional percent. Healing effects are reduced by 25% for the rest of combat.
Effect in Comet's Glow: Allies and self heal 2 additional percent when healed. Activate to instantly heal allies 10% once per fight.
Mask Of The Timeless
Shard Cost: 100
Effect: On activation, user gains +2 to all attack rolls, and +1 to all dodge rolls for 3 turns, but loses -2 to Dodge and attack rolls for the rest of combat.
Effect in Comet's Glow: Gain +2 to dodge and attack rolls vs Husk enemies and the Things The Comet Creates. Activate during the final battle for a special effect...
Corrupted Mirror Shield
Shard Cost: 100
Effect: On activation, user reflects all projectiles successfully dodged, and can roll CON to copy up to 30% damage taken and deal it back to the attacker that turn. (reflected damage cannot fall below 1%). User takes 5% more damage for the rest of combat.
Effect in Comet's Glow: 50% chance to reflect projectiles upon use. Attacks shielded will reflect 50% damage. Unlimited uses, once per turn.
Petrified Amulet
Shard Cost: 200
Effect: On Activation, purge status effects and remove all cooldowns that turn. All attacks gain +1 cooldown and status effects last one turn longer for the rest of combat.
Effect in Comet's Glow: User is passively immune to status conditions and has -1 cooldown to all attacks. Activate to purge ally status effects, and give them to a target of the user's choice, once per battle.
Crystalline Gunpwoder
Only Purchasable By Characters with Guns or Gun-Like weapons
Shard Cost: 300
Effect: On activation, next ranged attack can inflict Stun. All status effects are 50% less likely to trigger, if no status effects are in kit, user loses -1 to all dodge rolls for the rest of combat.
Effect in Comet's Glow: All ranged attacks stun passively. Activate to receive 5% damage to all ranged skills for one turn, once per fight.
Keening Bolts
Only Purchasable By Characters with Bows, Crossbows, or who use thrown projectiles.
Shard Cost: 300
Effect: On Activation, next arrow attack can hit 1 additional target. In 1 versus 1 battles, next arrow attack hits twice. All arrow attacks lose -1 roll modifier for the rest of battle.
Effect in Comet's Glow: All attacks hit 1 additional target. Activate to hit all foes with one arrow attack next turn, once per fight.
Coat of Many Colors
Only Purchasable by Magic Users
Shard Cost: 300
Effect: On Activation, user unleashes an additional magic bolt, dealing 15% damage, if all their attacks were magical that turn, adds the Mind Melt status to one attack. The user will lose -1 roll modifier for the rest of battle.
Effect in Comet's Glow: All attacks unleash a magic bolt dealing 10% damage and inflict Mind Melt on husks. Activate to empower the next magic attack to instantly destroy one non-boss enemy, or deal double damage to a boss enemy.
Non-Ecludian Hilt
Only Purchasable by sword, axe, spear, and other melee weapon users
Shard Cost: 300
Effect: On activation, all melee attacks inflict non-stacking poison that turn. If attack already poisons, gain +1 duration to poison effects. All melee attacks lose 3% damage for the rest of combat.
Effect in Comet's Glow: All attacks inflict a stacking poison versus husk enemies. Activate to instantly purge enemy poison, and deal 10% per instance of poison.
Fist Of The Thing
Only Purchasable By Brawler, or fist-fighting characters.
Shard Cost: 300
Effect: On activation, melee attacks have a 50% chance to inflict a -1 dodge roll penalty for the foe next turn. All stun status effects are guaranteed to proc, and attacks that don't stun have a 50% chance to against the user after use for the rest of combat.
Effect in Comet's Glow: All attacks against Husk foes prevent them from dodging if lands. Activate to stun all husk foes that turn.
Heart Of The Dreamer
Only Available for Purchase once character has defeated The Dreamer
Shard Cost: 0
Effect: On use, change one attack to a doppelganger attack (must be approved by staff). That attack cannot be used for the rest of the thread.
Effect in Comet's Glow: Anger the Dreamer into its true form. Gain a doppelganger attack for the entire duration of your expedition (must be approved by staff).
