Rosalyn looked at the entrance of the Black Market, waiting for Blue and Ghor's arrival, hey that rhymed. She felt embarrassed doing this, but it was for Sunny and she needed to save her life before it was too late. There were still alternate solutions to saving Sunny, but Rosalyn knew those would be difficult to achieve, right now the Black Market was her only hope to find medicine and hopefully Shizuka's whereabouts. "Shizuka, Sunny, i'm going to save the both of you, wherever you are." Rosalyn thought to herself.

She already failed saving people's lives before, and she was not going to fail saving Shizuka and Sunny's, her, Blue and Ghor WILL find medicine for Sunny and THEY WILL find out Shizuka's location. Even if it meant she had to face her hatred of magic, which she hates very much.

And of course go to a shady place in the Life Sphere.

But Rosalyn is determined to see this mission through, one way or another.

MISSION START!

While the majority of the Life Sphere remained a place of peace between the races that lived there, more or less anyway, the Black Market district was the exception to that rule. The dangers of the area reminded Ghor of his home universe, though to a lesser extent. In that same way though, he felt that most of his time was going to be spent there rather than anywhere else. It would be nice and convenient to stick to the sunnier side of the bubble, but this area had plenty of weak citizens to prey on. He had to ensure their safety.

A section of the tiled floor that the Life Sphere’s streets were made of began to light up, a searing heat penetrating the ground, melting a circular outline into the street. It stopped momentarily, the man-sized chunk of the earth being lifted and shifted to the side, allowing the cyborg freedom from the underground tunnel. Ghor’s lithe body sprung from the crater, greeting the surface world once more. He nudged the burrow’s covering back into place carefully and cocked his right arm to activate his plasma beam once more, sealing the escape hatch he just created to make the sidewalk cohesive again.

Tapping his left arm activated a data pad that projected a digital screen in front of him. He began to jot down some notes of his recent findings, murmuring to himself “Hm, it would seem Captain Guy has relocated since his last reported sighting. I’ll have to reschedule my investigation until more information springs up.” As he made his edits, Ghor slowly approached the young woman who called out for his help.

Once he was within range, he closed the window and honed his gaze on Rosalyn. “Ms. Hollotus” he greeted with a bow of his head and an arm across his chest. “My condolences for your friend’s illness” he continued as he stood by her side, investigating the borderline that lead into the Black Market. “Where do we begin?”

On cue, and definitely not half a month late because she didn't even realize things had started, a gorgeous young lady in a little black dress stepped forward to fill out the rest of the party. Blue's aptly colored eyes caught sight of Rosalyn and she offered the other an unassuming smile, before slowly turning her gaze up... waaay up... at Ghor. Huh! He was rather eloquently spoken for someone so... tall? She supposed that was why he put his brain on display. "Hi~! I hope I'm not late. I'm Blue, ...and I can see we won't be lacking in brains or beauty." Blue remarked in a thoughtful tone, her gaze drifting from Ghor to Rosalyn as she spoke. "...Just the way I like operating." she continued after a moment, her gaze becoming a bit more shrewd and thoughtful. "Between you and I, I like to find ... creative solutions to dealing with problems. But fighting's fine too." Blue went on to explain, leaving what she meant by that up in the air. Really, she had an open mind. There were a lot of things she'd done and a lot of things she'd do to dispatch a person quickly and easily. "So... what's the plan~?"

Rosalyn perked up slightly when she saw that Ghor and Blue had finally come for the mission. She felt like she was waiting for a whole month for the two to appear, but now that they were here, they can finally get this mission started so they can help Sunny and Shizuka. Rosalyn needed answers dammit, and she wasn't going to leave this market until she does get answers, and medicine, ugh, magic medicine to help Sunny.

"Thank you two for coming, I really appreciate that you two would take the time to help me with an urgent matter even if I am sort of controversial around the sphere and is friends with someone even more controversial then me." Rosalyn slightly cringed. She didn't want to call Shizuka a criminal, even though her past actions were criminal like, but she's very close with Shizuka and she didn't want to confront her about all her crimes. Shizuka's been through a lot and she has to be there for her when things regarding her life become too much.

"Anyway Blue, the plan is simple. We go into the black market and find medicine, any medicine that can help Sunny, it has to be magical unfortunately but I insisted I could easily save her, but she was like, no, I have to go with the magic way even though her beliefs are admittedly bad. I mean, my scientific beliefs are more better and that everyone should have the same beliefs as me, if I don't allow people to have there own beliefs then what sort of person does that make me?" A horrible person Rosalyn, which you just proved yourself to Blue and Ghor...This is going to be a loooooong mission.

"We also need to find information regarding Shizuka's whereabouts. According to certain reports that I found, anonymously from someone at my treebarn, sometimes information and rumours get's passed around the black market. I hope we find out information about where Shizuka is being kept prisoner ever since I saw her in that cell room from the giant egg." Rosalyn turned and clutched her brown bag. "We should enter the black market now. No matter what don't be tempted by anyone from the stands, there going to tempt to scam you or drug you in an attempt to steal your kidney." She began to walk forward into the black market.

As Rosalyn looked around, hoping to find a magical medical stand, voices were heard from left and right to the group coming from various stands, in an attempt to tempt people that walk by with there numerous and to Rosalyn's chagrin, magical items, which were half price today and if you buy from the most of the stands, you'll get a special 80% discount on sales when you visit the stands again.

"Kidneys, I got kidney's for sale!"

"I have hearts, fresh human hearts that I definitely didn't steal from morgues!"

"I got real rubies from hyrule, get them now in all of your favourite colours!"

"Medicine, REAL, Medicine here!"

"Pay fifteen dollars to see what's behind this shyguy's mask!"

"Souls, got some souls here of the innocents that unfortunately had them extracted."

"Happy Happisim is on the rise, feel free to join to gain eternal happiness which includes secluding yourself from your friends and family as we take you to our village in the middle of the woods."

"Guys." Rosalyn called, turning her head slightly towards Ghor and Blue. "Inform me if you hear anything that could help us." Rosalyn looked back in front of her to continue her search for information about Shizuka and medicine.

Beware, the rolls will go higher if you keep making successful rolls in perception as you hear more people trying to tempt you.)

Ghor’s attention snapped to Blue as she eventually arrived. She was certainly small and rather young looking… Was this planet just mostly inhabited by young girls? He supposed that was neither here nor there all things considered. “If we could find non-violent solutions, that would be preferable. Given our circumstances that might not always be an option” the machine’s lower jaw clanked.

Nodding along with Rosalyn’s speech, Ghor held no qualms toward Rosalyn or either friends that she mentioned. He didn’t know what either Rosalyn or Shizuka did to earn their self-proclaimed reputation, but Ghor didn’t exactly have a clear conscious either. Albeit, the deeds he did were not of his own volition, most weren’t aware of his… unique situation. Either way, he felt that didn’t make him necessarily blameless and that he still felt the need to prove himself. Not to mention that helping those that needed it was something that came to him naturally. “Well, your attempts at accommodation are still admirable” the cyborg noted about Rosalyn’s self-observations.

With due time, the instructions were clarified, and the trio made their way into the thick of the Black Market. “Fear not, my kidney has already been taken care of” Ghor retorted sarcastically as he knocked on his spindly abdomen. As the streets begun to bustle with bodies, the cyborg continued his surveillance of the area. Considering that his height was without question superior to his squad mates, his vantage point was invaluable.

Though perhaps there was a bit too much stimuli in the area. His audio receptors could barely decipher one shopkeeper’s shouting from another. He did pick up on one advertisement though. Ghor promised to find a lead on Shizuka’s whereabouts and he had a hunch about this ‘Happy Happism’ cult. Where better would a would-be criminal hideout? “Did your friend ever mention anything about Happy Happism?” Ghor quizzed as he nudged Rosalyn. “Excuse me for a moment while I perform a bit of recon” he added as he approached the booth.

“Greetings!” he announced somewhat bombastically. “My life is as cold and hollow as this husk I wear” he continued as he displayed his metallic skeletal body. “You aren’t the first organization I’ve met with though, so I’m still on the fence. Do you have a pamphlet?” 1d20+4

"No worries. I understand." Blue replied, dismissing Rosalyn's concerns about being controversial. She herself would probably be on both the police wanted board and the black market hit list if she weren't better about watching her back and concealing her identity. It wasn't easy staying out of sight and out of mind when psychics were about, though. Now, which one of these ... stunning gentlemen would likely know the location of someone being held against her will? ...Hm. Probably... the human traffickers! She quickly ruled out the one selling hearts. She didn't know why, but for some reason she got the impression they were just recycling. Could she have been picked up by an organ harvester? What a terrible fate... She decided to avoid the kidney guy, not because he was less shady than Mr. Soul Man over there, but because Mr. Soul Man seemed a little bit more open with what was going on. "Hello~! I don't suppose you'd know where a young lady like me could find any ...'particularly unfortunate souls' not unlike myself that might be in need of some company~? A young lady, perhaps?" Blue asked in a rather suggestive tone. She wasn't all that subtle about not referring to literal souls but rather people. Though she was also very much indirect about asking for them. It was not unknown to her that people could find themselves sold on the black market if they were particularly valuable in some way, and while she didn't approve of the practice they wouldn't get very far if they tried to take down such a powerful crime ring alone. More importantly, Shizuka would never see the light of day again if they burnt their leads.

2000 coins was a bit of a short change for a beauty like her, if she were being honest.

She'd decided to ignore the medicine for now. That medicine man's choice fo words had suggested to her that he was selling scientific medicine, rather than the magic medicine they were looking for. For one reason or another, fake had become a term used by some magic haters to refer to magic and magical things. And while Blue didn't practice magic herself, she was n't inclined to respect such an opinion. It was all fine to distrust a magician. Tricks were in their nature, after all. But so were they in hers, and far be it from her to judge her kin just because their methods were a bit less readily available to the average joe.

"Well there was reports that a girl named Paula Polestar was once kidnapped by that cult and almost sacrificed to there fake god for having some weird power called PSI, cults are weird. It's best to keep away from shady people like that." Rosalyn noticed that Ghor and Blue had suddenly gone quiet, and it was not the crowd of people that were silencing them. Rosalyn turned to see that Ghor and Blue were at two stands, one about the Happy Happiest and the other was the soul stand.

Rosalyn decided to approach the Happy Happiest stand wisely, two men in cloaks turned upon seeing Ghor arrive at there stand.



"Blue, blue, so you wish to learn more about our merriful foundation?" The man in the cloak asked before moving aside so Ghor can see a large tent behind the men, which was purple despite the cult's love of blue for some reason. "We changed it to purple following an incident at our own world, but you can see the world we have created if you follow us inside the tent." Rosalyn soon approached Ghor and tapped him on the shoulder.

"I suggest not following them, this can spell bad news and we could be wasting time talking to these people, they don't look like magic crooks or back alley doctors, there just weird middle aged men with no jobs." Rosalyn slightly lamented.

"A young lady? The only soul I have recently is a girl called Shizuka." The man remembered the last soul he with held, which was located somewhere deep from within his stand. He quickly left to go find the soul and returned with a giant jar containing a blue soul...Which was Shizuka's favourite colour.



The jar contained the label: SHIZUKA MOROBOSHI on it as the man tapped the jar. "I usually go with Japanese introductions for labelling so I start out by labelling them from there last names before entering there first names last. This poor woman was killed when she walked into a rouge goomba while hiking around this sphere and fell off a cliff. Anyway here's the price for this jar." The man held out a little car for Blue to read.

10 coins? That was cheap.

"Oh, whoops, I forgot to edit that." The man quickly took the card off of Blue, got out a marker and added a few more digits to the card before giving it back to Blue. "Sorry, I tend to give out the wrong prices when I put a new soul on display here. I hope to make a corporation out of this one day. I shall call it, Souls R Us and it will last for two decades...Before souls become unpopular and I will have to file for bankruptcy." Annyway, the new price for Shizuka's soul was...

While Blue was trying to figure out how to get enough money to save Shizuka, she began to hear more people advertising there stands.

"Want to know the real situation with the life sphere? Read my my new truthful newspaper!"

"I got the only picture of Sonic supposedly shooting someone dead, it's not photoshop and it costs 500 dollars!"

"Free non poisonous chilly dogs!"

"Want to go to a split universe, try out this new machine I made that will definitely not burn you inside out!"

"Real dresses made in Kalos and Alola, even Lusamine herself said that these dresses were well made and not fake replica's of real dresses! She really did say so when she passed by here."

"Magical Medicine, freshly made magical medicine. It helps any wound or illness of any kind!"

Ghor listened closely to Rosalyn’s input on the Happy Happiests and opened his log book as she mentioned their shady background of kidnapping and sacrificial God worship. He began to type into his holographic day planner, fitting ‘Decommission Happy Happism’ into his busy schedule. He would perform the task now, but the matter of retrieving medicine for Rosalyn’s friend was an urgent matter to take care of. The crew of cool coloured cloaks offered him a seat inside their tent, but Ghor didn’t need Rosalyn to tell him that it was a terrible idea to try and follow through with. “I asked for a pamphlet, but I suppose that if you have none I’ll take my interest in exploitive cults elsewhere, thank you for your time” the machine waved off.

“I look forward to tearing down your establishment” he muttered to himself as he made a few minor tweaks to his log book. In the meantime, he supposed that he should do something useful in terms of finding that magical potion. His audio receptors were a bit too focused on the Happy Happiests to listen in on any of the other advertisements floating in the air, so unfortunately, he missed out on a couple helpful advertisements. For the time being, the best he could do was listen closely and go off by memory of what the previous salesmen had said.

One of the shopkeepers mentioned something about Hyrule, didn’t they? Ghor’s memories of what his corrupted self had done was foggy, but he did do some base-level research on the more notable universes that habit the Life Sphere. At the very least, he assumed that Hyrule was home to some magical concoctions. It seemed that the store was primarily selling Rupees, but maybe the owner could point him in the right direction.

“So, this is a currency exchange booth, I take it? What are the conversion rates for Rupees? Better yet, if you have any other wares you’d be interested in selling, I’m all ears. Pay no mind to my lack of actual ears though” Ghor enquired rather gently, holding his hands behind his back.1d20+4

Blue took notice of where Ghor was going. As when she turned to consider going there herself, she found little purpose in doing so. She'd just have to keep an ear open and see what he said.

In the meantime... she could do what she did best. Wrap people around her finger. Pretending to inspect the card for a little while in thought, she then leaned in and gingerly flipped her hair, flashing a rather flirtatious look at the merchant. "Rupees, huh..? And what's a handsome gentleman like you doing collecting ancient currencies from dead kingdoms~?" Blue curiously asked, feigning an interest. She didn't know what the exact value of a rupee was, but she knew that with the death of the kingdom that actually accepted them they'd likely suffered hyperinflation and become almost worthless. Perhaps he was a collector, or perhaps the currency had some value still equal to what the metals or some such making it up were. Whichever the case, it likely wasn't worth much compared to when it was in circulation. She'd been told coins used to be worth a lot more too, which just meant material investments were a good idea. "Y'know, I have a magician friend who knows a lot about souls. A few of them, in fact. They're supposed to be a wonderful source of magical power. If she saw me walking around with one, she might want to buy one for herself..." Blue thoughtfully remarked, planting the suggestion of free advertising in the shop owner's head. "But... I... don't know that I have so many rupees." Blue went on to add after a moment in a strained tone, feigning an oncoming heartbreak. "Isn't there... another way I could pay?" she ever so sweetly asked, not at all fazed by the implications. Although she'd prefer to avoid them, as a femme fatale she was more than prepared to make the merchant regret taking her up on her offer if he requested too much of her.

The market keeper behind the market that was selling souls was disgusted at Blue's behaviour. "Girl your like 10, there's no way i'm going to be tempted by you, look if I give you this stupid soul would you please leave me alone?" The owner asked as he gave the soul of Shizuka to Blue before turning and walking away in disgust. Now that was over with, Blue can deliver the soul to Rosalyn and see what she thinks about the soul of her best friend. Rosalyn was standing nearby, looking at stands that might have medicine or news about Shizuka's fate.

As for Ghor, the market owner decided to try and get him to con some money out of him by trying to convince him to buy one of his fake rupees. "Uhh, one dollar for conversion, as for rupees, I got all kinds, including this one!" The owner held up a golden rupee that looked like it was recently painted, why am I sure? Because a bit of blue was showing near the bottom of the small rupee.



"The rupee is like a trillion dollars, and you only need sixty dollars to buy it!" The owner looked back at Ghor and smirked. "What do you say, want to become rich with this rupee?" He waited for Ghor's answer, hopefully a yes.

However Ghor and Blue heard more from other markets, such as...

"Real magical medicine on sale, come today to help a friend who might be in need!"

"Free coins from the mushroom kingdom get them while there new!"

"Get your information about the Pokemon Butcher here!"

"Become a Nurse Joy and apply at our Joy school today!"

"Want remedy's to help your sickness? Pay 100$ for some pills!"

Rosalyn continued to look around.

Ghor scratched at his cranium as the shopkeeper elaborated on the conversion rate for rupees. He had no idea what a dollar was, so that didn’t help him understand the value of rupees anymore than before. He’s heard of coins and credits before, but that was a new one. Either way, it seemed that rupees were the only items he had for sale, either that or the man at the counter completely ignored his other inquiry, which seemed incredibly likely, either way, he wasn’t going to find anything useful here. “Shoot, I must have left my wallet in my other body” the machine stated as he patted down his body and finished with a snap of his fingers. “I’ll be sure to catch you up on your offer as soon as I have some money on me.”

As Ghor broke off from the booth though, he began to hear more voices reverberating around the marketplace. Luckily this time around his audio receptors had been properly debugged, so he could hear what they were saying more clearly rather than their voices becoming a jumbled mess. One such voice sounded much more promising than previous advertisements. In fact, it seemed to be incredibly convenient to their situation. Perhaps too on the nose, which raised his suspicions. It might still be legitimate.

The cyborg stepped toward the magical potion seller’s booth. It was then that he realized that he had no idea what kind of sickness it was that Rosalyn’s friend had, though from what he could tell it was life threatening. He supposed that any magical medicine would do the trick considering that… it was magic, so it didn’t need to be specific. He wasn’t entirely certain considering that it was a field he wasn’t familiar with. “Yes, hello. I’m in the market for some of this magical medicine you’re offering. If I may ask though, what does it do and how does it work?” he questioned. Considering that his instructions were merely to find a magical medicine, it was likely that this shop might not provide the magical medicine that Rosalyn’s friend was looking for. It would be helpful to cover all the bases before just grabbing something from such a sketchy place and assuming it would work. He would ask Rosalyn for specifics on the medicine they were looking for, but given her disposition, she might not know or care about the difference between one magic medicine or another.

Blue blanched as she was spurned for her efforts. ...Of all the responses she'd expected, that was probably the last one. B-But she didn't look anything like a ten-year-old! She accepted Shizuka's soul regardless and hugged the bottle to her chest in a rather protective manner, looking down at herself for a moment while the shop owner walked away. ...Good thing she had some dignity to spare. "Looks like you belong to me now~" she softly remarked in a playful tone. "...Luckily, you're in good hands. I'm here with Rosalyn to try and save you." Blue went on to explain. "...Looks like we're a little late for that, but I'll make sure nobody munches on your soul anyway. Hopefully, we can find some way to bring you back." Blue continued, looking around to figure out where her teammates were. She picked up on Ghor investigating the magical medicine, which meant there was only one thing left on her priorities.

Man, she didn't like the idea of telling Rosalyn Shizuka was freaking dead.

It wasn't her kind of news to break, but well--the burden had landed on her. With any luck, Rosalyn would have a better idea of who to go to for this sort of thing. Returning to Rosalyn with the bottle still clutched to her chest. "Rosalyn? I... think I found Shizuka. " Blue hesitantly explained, gesturing to her head down at the bottle.

When Ghor had attended the market stand where the magical medicine was founded, he was met by an old woman who was busy rubbing a jar for a bottle entitled "Whumba Fruit Addiction Medicine." She looked up to to Ghor, who seem interested in her medicines, as did Rosalyn when she approached the stand. "You found medicine?" The woman grinned at the two. "Oh, I have medicine of all sorts. Bone hurting medicine, the Pokerus cure, the Apathy Syndrome cure, i'm even working on a cure for NID's, although it might take a few years to master the cure." She revealed his assortment of cures to the group. Rosalyn scoffed. "Please, I heard research on NID's was discontinued after a research team were shot down in a Space Ark because they were doing it through illegal means." Rosalyn didn't seem to trust the Woman already.

"I do have cures for people who have been poisoned also." She began to sweat, wanting some customers, because lately his business had been slow and it looked like these three actually needed something from him. "Such as plants?" Rosalyn raised her eyebrow, finally intrigued. the woman nodded and turned towards a large tent similar to the one from the Happy Happiests, although unlike there tent, this one felt, reassuring.



"Follow me, I have more potions and medicines to your liking in here. I'll happily provide you with the cure for plant poisoning." She tempted the trio to follow her into the tent. Rosalyn proceeded with caution to enter the tent, while walking towards it she looked down at Blue, who supposedly found Shizuka, although she might be dead what with her supposed soul in a jar.

"You did?" She took the jar containing the soul off of Blue and looked at it, before looking at the name tag, she gave the jar back to Blue soon after. "When you were giving this soul did the person who gave you the soul say anything about how unique the name tag is? Because for all we know he could of wrote the name in a different way and that it might not be Shizuka's soul, it could just be someone with a similar name." Rosalyn soon entered the tent.





She seemed interested in the vast number of potions on the shelf as she continued to walk forward, following the woman who reappeared holding a bottle with a pink liquid on the inside. "I think I found this magical cure that your looking for, this can help any of your plants heal up from any injury or poison because of the magic from within, all for a matter of 10 coins." She wagered to the trio.



Rosalyn became suspicious of the bottle.



"Ok, sooo...What's in it?" She pried more information on the bottle, the woman was confused with what Rosalyn was talking about. "I just said, it was made using magic." She revealed, slightly getting angry as she felt offended by Rosalyn's confusion. "Yeah I know, but how? Because as we all know Magic doesn't exist, so you must of created it using ingredients from other worlds to create this potion. So, what are the ingredients?" Rosalyn stood closer to the woman, who started to frown. "I just said magic, every single potion in this tent and at my stand is made out of magic!" She started to raise his voice, it seems like her and Rosalyn were going to argue.

"You obviously didn't make it using magic and your using it as an excuse to not say what you made the potion with. Tell me now and i'll happily pay you for the potion!" Rosalyn bickered to the woman, someone should try and stop the argument before things start to get violent.

"Do you want to get violent little lady?"

"Why are people calling me little? I'm 17 years old and i'll burn down this entire market if it means beating you in a battle to prove that magic doesn't exist!" She pointed at the woman's old wrinkly face.

It seemed that Ghor stopped at the right place, mystical old woman (or man, he wasn’t certain, but that didn’t matter) spelt magic potion out quite clearly. Rosalyn even approved of the shopkeeper, so they lead the party to a nearby tent to get a closer inspection of the shop’s wares. While it was a small victory that could lead to the succession of their mission, Ghor felt a bit disheartened that he didn’t find Shizuka first. He supposed that either task could be accomplished in whatever order, but who knows what kind of human trafficking the girl had been put through, time was of the essence.

Luckily, their third party member joined up with the team, a bizarre little bottle clung to her chest. Interesting, did she find a medicine of her own? Not quite, as she explained, she believed that she had the essence of Shizuka’s soul. Ghor briefly flashbacked to the first time he had a similar ‘out of body experience’ holding his mechanical hand to his chest and bowing in honour of Rosalyn’s fallen friend. Interestingly, it seemed to be a bit more respectful than Rosalyn’s response, considering that she had heavy disbeliefs. Ghor held his own belief that it would be incredibly coincidental that out of the 8000 or so citizens of the Life Sphere that there would be another individual named Shizuka, or someone with a nearly identical name. To each their own. While the situation seemed quite grim, Ghor chimed in with his own thoughts. “Well, if it is Shizuka, there are other ways to resurrect her if we can’t find her original body” he added with a few taps of his cranium.

Regardless, that matter could be dealt with at another time. Entering the tent, Ghor began to investigate the items on display, idly listening to the conversation between the shopkeeper and Rosalyn. It didn’t long for the topic to get heated, Rosalyn being the aggressor in the situation. It briefly made the cyborg wonder, to quote Rundas, ‘we’re the good guys, right?’ Another familiar voice crept into his head though, wanting him to release the phazon within and open fire on Rosalyn to protect the innocent, but it was too weak to influence him.

Ghor leapt forward, placing himself between the arguing duo, looking down upon Rosalyn first. “Ease yourself, you’re straying from the path you set yourself on. Allow others to hold their own beliefs. Do you value winning this argument over the health of your friend?” he reaffirmed, calling back to their conversation earlier in the day.

He calmly looked over to the shopkeeper next. While Rosalyn wasn’t doing it in the politest manner, she did have a point. Considering the rather grungy reputation of the Black Market, it wouldn’t be wise to just take the seller’s word for what the product could do, especially when someone was going to ingest it. “What my friend was trying to ask, what was your method? There’s plenty of ways that someone can conjure or summon magic. Perhaps we could see a spell book, or you could demonstrate so that we know your product does what you say it does. A friend’s health is at risk, so we must take precautions.”

Blue couldn't help but feel a bit dispirated at Rosalyn's skepticism. Who just grabbed any old soul and labeled it with full first and last name the name of their friend? How would that merchant of questionable tastes even know they were looking for Shizuka? It suggested a conspiracy--or rather... mind reading, perhaps. Could he have simply told her what she wanted to hear? Mind Reading merchants were the worst in that recard. Giving a convincing sales pitch wasn't hard when you knew for a fact what someone was looking for. She glanced down at the jar, and held it out for Rosalyn to read the name tag. She wasn't the best person to pick out flaws in the spelling or anything like that, given she'd only learned the name recently. She'd then pull the jar back against her chest, deigning to keep it regardless. Shizuka or not, she was happy to keep the soul from falling back into the hands of the traffickers. At Ghor's remark, she couldn't help but smirk. "...I think the principle issue is time. It usually takes a good sixteen to eighteen years to 'finish' creating a new human body." Blue replied rather knowingly, seeming to suggest a very conventional meaning to her words. It was the only way she knew of for reincarnation to take place, with the aid of a fresh set of parents. Given the logistical issues with asking Shizuka to be reborn in the most literal sense, it seemed like she was probably offering Ghor some bait to explain himself.

Meanwhile, the group was reunited in a shop and Rosalyn wound up picking a fight with the lady running the place. Yikes. That was usually a strong indication for her to bail, but she wasn't here for her own interests. Still, she had to keep in mind the possibility that they wouldn't be able to avoid violence and wonder how exactly they'd resolve the situation. Thankfully, Ghor did the big guy thing, which was weird because for how lanky he was 'tall' felt almost misleading, even when it wasn't. This left Blue to do her thing and talk to Rosalyn. Time for a silver tongue and some girl talk! She slipped in next to the other speaking softly without leaning in.

"Back in my world, there was a saying that 'magic' is just a word some people use to describe things they don't understand. It was easy enough to see someone concentrate and observe something lift into the air as if by its own accord, but it often came so naturally to those practicing that they did not know how to explain what they'd done. There were no schools to learn these things and educate yourself on how it works or what the technical terms for what you're doing were. I've found that most people are like that. Maybe this lady is like that too, knowing how to create a potion but not knowing a better word to describe it." Blue thoughtfully offered, meeting the other's eyes after a moment. She wasn't magically gifted herself, but had spent plenty of time around magic users after all.
