ACT I: Unity
Prelude -
There are few strengths quite like friendship. For even a joined hand can fell the mightiest beast.
Fareik had waited outside the perimeter of the last dragon sighting for a while now, upon a steed he'd been given ages ago. The horse still had life in her yet, and snorted at the idea of entering the place any further. Hopping off of the mare, and tying her to a small post, the warrior stood out and gazed upon the ruined land, the scent of brimstone and fire billowing in the air with the slight tinge of ash that floated upon the current. Heat was present here, fires were started in the midst of all of this, the occasional roar of the mighty beast in the distance, bellowing in a tongue that was unfamiliar to most.
The dragonborn waited, hands folded, shield upon his left hand, and sword at his side, not yet drawn. When the others were to arrive here, he would begin an outward trek, and hopefully prepare his comrades for the horrors they were yet to face. It seemed many here had not witnessed the pure, and raw power that the dragons of Tamriel held, or perhaps could understand what they were truly up against. In time, the tragic extent of the dragon's mistakes were soon to be realized. He'd torched an innocent land, and drawn the ire of the Dovahkiin, though Fareik himself was not alone.
Musing of the most profound nature overtook Fareik's mind. What if this was another of Pathuurnax's allies, and not a pawn of Alduiin? No, such dragons like the former didn't exist anymore, only the latter had been found in Tamriel since Alduiin's fall.
