Variant Rules:

THESE ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT FOR ONCE. So read them, because they could potentially disqualify you.

• Your goal is to defeat all bosses up to and including Moon Lord
• You are only allowed to die twice against bosses. If you die a third time against bosses, it's mission failure. If the group is struggling, you may have opportunities to remove a death penalty or two that will be dictated as the situation calls for it.
• If you want to play multiple characters, you can. However, you will be expected to find the time to actually roleplay them, either through emotes or as their own character.
• It is mandatory to attempt some level of RP while we play, generally between combat. The command for emotes is /me (text), though just writing normally with quotes is fine.
• You may not bring any items from any other worlds.. However, if you choose to play a new character you will be given a basic set of pre hardmode armor.
• Characters that do not ICly know magic may not use wands or tomes or magic guns.
• Characters that do not ICly have any experience using guns may not use any gun or launcher weapon.
• The time of play is 5:30 PM EST, or the same time we played in the previous iteration. We'll figure out which days once we get together.

• When the mission ends, you'll be asked to pick two items and be given an item on Li corresponding to them with mechanics designed by yours truly.

World Details:

• The world will be the same as last time.
• You can use any character mode you want, though softcore is recommended.
• Rushing or hogging all the upgrades for yourself is likely to result in death. It's strongly encouraged that you work as a team.
• The guide will ICly help characters with things that don't necessarily make sense for them to be able to accomplish on their own, such as say crafting a bed or house. Ciel can ICly make him do things.

Nebula Mantle: Teaches the character the following special attack of the same name:

These powerful arcane wings will aid in zipping around the battlefield, bestowing the user the ability to fly and granting them a +2 to their dodge rolls when the item is invoked. This lasts for 1 turn, or until they take a hit that deals more than 15% damage. Whichever is longer. 4 turn cooldown.

Razorblade Typhoon: Teaches the character the following primary attack of the same name:

Blasts of air imbued with the sea's coastal strength are launched at a target, leaving lots of shallow cuts all over their bodies as it homes in on them and consumes them with its watery fury. This attack is made with a bonus +2 to its accuracy modifier. 1 turn cooldown. (Medium Wis Attack; Does 16% Damage)

Vortex Beater: Teaches the character the following primary attack of the same name:

For when you need someone dead but you're not too picky about who. This powerful gun is somewhat inaccurate, but its alien technology allows it to absorb the leftover energy of each shot it takes, releasing it as a small explosive shot that compounds to achieve nearly unprecedented damage. This attack suffers a -2 to its accuracy rolls. (Heavy Dex Attack; Does 24% Damage)

North Pole: Teaches the character the following special attack of the same name:

Not to be confused with Santa's place of residence, this icy spear is followed by a miniature storm of sharp snowflakes that leave painful cuts on the victim--assuming the spear doesn't get them first. This attack comes in two parts, consuming two actions. The first action consists of a (Heavy Dex Attack that deals 24% damage) and has a 35% chance of inflicting the mortal wound status, however it suffers a -2 accuracy penalty. The second is a (Light, Comboable Wis Attack that deals 5% damage) 2 turn cooldown.

Demon Scythe: Teaches the character the following primary attack of the same name:

A spell with a slow and heavily telegraphed startup isn't likely to hit all of its targets, but at the very least it cuts them down to size when it does. The magical spinning scythe it creates cuts just like a real blade! This attack suffers a -2 to its accuracy rolls. (Heavy Wis Attack; Does 24% Damage)

Golem Fist: Teaches the character the following primary attack of the same name:

Nothing sends a message quite like a giant stone fist. Simple, effective, and... probably a little too effective. This firearm launches its fist at a great distance, a powerful cord reeling it back in once it has reached its apex. Don't ask how the recoil works. Comically massive knockback. 4 turn cooldown. (Heavy Dex Attack; Does 30% Damage)

Arle

Star Wrath: Teaches the character the following primary attack of the same name:

An orbital bombardment of stars rain from the sky. Not very accurate, but who needs accuracy when you can just blow everything up?? This attack suffers a -2 to its accuracy rolls. (Heavy Wis Attack; Does 24% Damage)

Stardust Dragon Staff: Teaches the character the following special attack of the name "Stardust Dragon":

Arle spends two actions and 6% health summong a celestial dragon to ravage her foes. For the next four turns the magical dragon can make single 30% damage attack on a 1 turn cooldown as one of Arle's actions. This dragon attacks with Arle's wisdom modifier at the time of being summoned, ignoring any changes to it made after the fact. Her dodge rolls suffer a -2 penalty for one turn following itss suummoning. If the dragon does not attack, it does not use up a turn. The summoning itself has a 3 turn cooldown.



Warle

Shadowflame Hex Doll: Teaches the character the following primary attack of the name "Shadowflame":

Tendrils of dark magic lunge out from caster to viciously stab enemies with their perhaps deceptively sharp tips. This attack has a 25% chance of applying the mortal wound status, and will also apply it on a crit--yielding a 30% chance overall. Because of the nature of this attack, the caster leaves themselves slightly vulnerable when casting it represented by a -1 to their dodge rolls on the following turn for each time it was used. 6% recoil. (Heavy Wis Attack; Does 28% Damage)

Spectre Staff: Teaches the character the following special attack of the name "Spectre":

The caster summons spirits from beyond the grave and commands them to attack a foes' very soul, leeching at their life energy. This heals the caster for half the damage they deal rounded up. This can be done multiple times at the cost of an extra action for each attempt, however, the attack incurs its full cooldown regardless of how many times it is performed. If this attack hits an individual 4+ times or is used on the turn an individual is KO'd, the caster heals themselves for an amount equal to this attack's damage. Targets INT. 4 turn cooldown. (Medium Cha Attack; Does 7+Cha Damage)



Valorie

Blessed Apple: Teaches the following special attack by the name of "Unicorn Mount":

A unicorn hops in and allows Valorie to mount it, greatly increasing her mobility! Though the unicorn cannot truly fly, it is so good at running and jumping that it gets a bonus +3 to all challenges involving these subjects. While riding the Unicorn, Valorie gains +2 to her dodge rolls and takes 5% less damage from attacks directed at her. The unicorn lasts for 3 turns before it gets tired, at which point Valorie can continue riding it but will not gain the dexterity or damage reduction buff until she gets off and lets it rest. The unicorn itself has 40 HP. If it is reduced to 0 HP it becomes too wounded to be ridden, it's cooldown is doubled and it cannot be used again until it's HP is raised back above 0 via healing. 3 turn cooldown.

Rainbow Gun: Teaches the following primary attack by the same name:

Channel the power of love through a gun! ...Bit of a corruption, if we're being honest. But since this brand of love is of the tough variety, you don't have to care! This blast can be sustained at the cost of an extra action, causing it to deal 4% extra damage, deal double damage to bubble shields and ignore all forms of damage reduction except invincibility, as well as deal incredible knockback. 4 turn cooldown. Has a 50% chance to burn. (Heavy Wis Attack; Does 26% Damage)

A blade fit for heroes, forged from the bodies of the finest blades of light and darkness. It's ... horrible. Was this thing designed for Cloud Strife?! Anyone without a strength stat of 18 or above suffers an extra action penalty when using this monstrous blade. Attacking with this blade comes in two parts, consuming two actions. The first action consists of a (Heavy Str Attack that deals 24% damage) and has a 35% chance of inflicting the mortal wound status, however it suffers a -2 accuracy penalty. The second is a (Light, Comboable Wis Attack that deals 5% damage) 2 turn cooldown.

Solar Eruption: Teaches the character the following special attack of the same name:

This weapon will thrust fear into your enemies hearts and penetrate even the thickest hide. It'll also really annoy your friends if you ever describe it to them as such. This bizarre weapon is somewhere between a sword, a whip, a flail and even a spear and can be used like any of them, though we advise against throwing it. Maybe just the pommel if you insist. When swung, the shaft extends wildly with the force of your swing, allowing unprecedented reach and disjointed attacks without ever technically leaving your hand as you strike foes with the fury of the sun. It also easily pierces most walls with its destructive power, leaving a clean hole in its wake. Can be used as a Strength or Dexterity attack at your discretion. This attack can be sustained at the cost of an extra action, causing it to deal 4% extra damage, deal double damage to bubble shields and ignore all forms of damage reduction except invincibility, as well as deal incredible knockback. 4 turn cooldown. Has a 50% chance to burn. (Heavy Str/Dex Attack; Does 26% Damage)



Ecolo:

The Eye of C'thulu: Teaches the character the following primary attack of the same name:

This creepy looking yo-yo is imbued with the terrible power of an eldritch tentacle and eye monster--use the name while Arle's trademark is still pending. What would otherwise be a moderately annoying toy to whack someone with becomes the thing of nightmares, eating away at the sanity of whomever it strikes with each blow. Has a 10% chance to cause the mind-melted statuss. (Light Comboable Dex Attack; Does 5% Damage)


Golem Fist: Teaches the character the following primary attack of the same name:

Christmas Tree Sword: Teaches the character the following special attack of the name "An Actual Christmas Tree":

When you really need to teach your enemies a lesson about ... having expectations, I guess, you'll find few weapons more obnoxiously specific yet effective than this beautifully decorated evergreen conifer. Beat some humility into whatever's bothering you by assaulting them with an actual freaking tree. Perfect for your holiday-themed beatdowns. If smacking them with a tree isn't your thing, a few of the decorations are liable to come loose and shatter against your enemies with each swing. This attack comes in two parts, consuming two actions. The first action consists of a (Heavy Str Attack that deals 24% damage) and has a 30% chance of inflicting the mortal wound status, also applying it on a crit for a 35% total, however it suffers a -2 accuracy penalty. The second is a (Light, Comboable Dex Attack that deals 5% damage) 2 turn cooldown.

Amitwo

Staff of Earth: Teaches the character the following primary attack by the same name:

From the dawn of humanity, man has solved a variety of problems by HITTING IT WITH A ROCK. Now, even little waifs with noodle arms and noses buried deep in books can HIT PEOPLE WITH ROCKS. With a swing of this staff a--THAT'S A BOULDER--will fly out to crush your enemies. It's as brutal as it is quick. Has a 2 turn cooldown. Has a 30% chance of inflicting paralysis. 5% recoil (Heavy Wis Attack; Does 24% Damage)



Magical Harp: Teaches the character the following special attack by the same name:

By playing a magical tune of power, the caster can influence their allies to perform better! Comes in one of the following flavors, all of which incur a 2% recoil penalty and a 1 turn cooldown.

Offensive Tune: The target gains a 5% damage bonus and an accuracy bonus equal to Amitwo's charisma to their next attack.
Defensive Tune: The target gains a 5% damage resistance bonus against the next attack that hits them.
Support Tune: The target gains an extra action.




Ciel

Portal Gun: Teaches the character the following special attack by the same name:

This scientific tool stands in defiance of the natural laws of physics, crumbling space and creating portals through any two surfaces large enough to accommodate them. Materials passing through one portal will instantly emerge from the other, creating a strange visual illusion if both portals are visible at once. It can be used to disarm most hazards that could be disarmed by flight, plus a few more as logic permits. This particular portal gun fires pink and purple portals. In combat, this tool can be used to enhance the effect of other attacks by using them to generate enormous amounts of momentum unrestricted by the concept of terminal velocity. The longer she falls, the more momentum she gains represented by the number of actions spent. Only the followup attack can benefit from the buff, however. 3 turn cooldown.

1 action: +10% Damage, 10% chance of stun, +1 accuracy
2 actions: +20% Damage, 25% chance of stun, 15% chance of paralysis
3 actions: +30% Damage, 35% chance of stun, 50% chance of paralysis, 5% recoil
4 actions: +30% Damage, 40% chance of stun, 50% chance of paralysis, 40% chance of mortal wound, 10% recoil, 30% chance of self-paralysis
5+ actions??: Same as 4 actions, but immediately KOs enemies who aren't bosses or players. May also immediately KO bosses or players at their players discretion.



Clentaminator: Teaches the character the following special attack by the same name:

Technology and magic meet to create a world-altering device. Allows for the changing of the natural climate and the purification of corruption from one's body, even up to and including the starvia itself. Note that its effects aren't quite at full strength and it does not heal the underlying damage corruption has caused, meaning if it were used on the infected it would simply kill them... For now, it is better used as a preventative measure than cure. When the glowing pink beam the clentaminator fires touches a person or location, it bestows them with immunity to all but the most extreme concentrations of starvia and reduces the duration of all debuffs they suffer by 1 each turn. Additionally, it can be overcharged to heal both the target and Ciel for a value equal to Ciel's charisma modifier for 5 turns. However, this second function has a 3 turn cooldown.

When used on infected targets, it functions as a 22% damage attack with a 1 turn cooldown.
