History On Li: Mario founded the Life Sphere with the other heroes after learning of the threats on Li. He realized what a threat the Starvia posed and wanted to get their forces to unite and take them down before they could grow strong enough. However, Samus did not seem as into his idea and Sonic had a different view of how to take down the threat that they were forced to deal with... Needless to say the red plumber was not into the blue hedgehog's idea in the slightest but with Samus not choosing sides it made it difficult to form an united assault. What was Sonic even thinking wanting to blow up the world when they had a chance to fight for their worlds back?
It has felt like years on Li and though there has been assaults and danger, life has been surprisingly peaceful with the infected forces. That was until Black Shadow appeared and kidnapped him, Sonic and Samus and taken him to their base. They were trapped there for what felt like ages with him and Sonic being so close putting a serious bother for him. Fortunately, E. Gadd sent help and him and Sonic were rescued but the team could not find where Samus was. Mario realized they had to do something soon if they wanted a chance at winning this war.
Fortunately Sonic seemed to realize it too and they finally agreed on an unified assault. Team Last to Lead and First to Fall were formed to take down Black Shadow and rescue Samus once and for all. After this, Mario decided it was time to finally become the leader he should be due to the realization he was not as cut out for it as he originally fought, more into adventure than political activities. In light of recent events though they had to put more effort against a threat to all worlds with more worlds becoming targets. Once Black Shadow is down, he shall show he has more to him than just an adventurous spirit.
Primary Attacks (3)
Hand-To-Boot: Mario is actually quite skilled in hand to hand combat and utilizes it with great ease and power. Though he also utilizes his feet in some manner such as jumping on the foe. A well balanced fighting style with plenty to demonstrate. [Light to Medium STR Attack, 6-16%]
Hammer: Mario brings out his signature tool only second to his ability to jump on things with the greatest of ease. This mighty hammer brings down the pain onto the head or bodies of his enemies. Best to wear a hard hat when standing up to the plumber in red. He can even toss the hammer like a boomerang if he feels the need for some ranged hammer tossing. However, using the hammer takes some windup so it has a practical cooldown of 1 turn. (Heavy STR/DEX Attack, 22%)
Firebrand: Mario channels the power of the Legendary Fire Brand into his strikes. Mario imbues an attack of his with fire, causing a firey punch, an explosive palm, a flaming hammer, or creating fire balls or some such. It lessens the impact of the technique but it has a 30% chance to burn. (Medium Strength/Wisdom Attack, 12%)
Special Attacks (3)
Cappy: Mario chucks his hat at the foe that grows eyes... what? Turns out his hat is possessed and hitting foes with it will cause the hat to attach to their head. This initiates a special ranged grapple if it hits, making the technique unblockable. If the hat hits it's mark, Mario will jump into the hat and cause the foe or ally to grow a mustache temporarily and become possessed by Mario. Mario gains control over their actions and moveset but loses access to his own. Mario must maintain the possession similar to a grapple with his normal Wisdom vs their INT once each turn as an action. Additionally, Mario still feel the pain his victim's body takes and a move of significant force (22% or higher) will knock him out of the body forcibly. Once Mario is removed from the victim, this ability requires 5 turns to regather energy and he needs for 1 turn all his mods are lowered by 1 as he recovers. If it misses, the move has a 1 turn cooldown. (Dex/Wisdom Possession Technique)
F.L.U.D.D.: F.L.U.D.D. is Mario's trusty companion created by E. Gadd with a variety of different water related functions. F.L.U.D.D. builds up a water of ater each turn up to a maximum of 5 Liters. Every time Mario uses an ability from F.L.U.D.D. it consumes water based on the nozzle he uses. After he uses a technique, the water stops refilling until the next turn.
- Spray Nozzle: Mario utilizes the water spraying and goop cleaning effects of the Spray Nozzle. This Nozzle consumes 1 liter per use, being the most efficient of the various nozzles. It causes 5% damage and Guarenteed Soaked. Also has a Hover function for aerial use. (Light Wisdom)
- Rocket Nozzle:A much more costly use of F.L.U.D.D. Charging up, the water device blasts Mario high into the high with a powerful blast of water. Takes two actions and 3 liters of water along with a 2 turn cooldown. Causes 28% damage to all that is close to Mario when the blast hits. (Heavy Wisdom)
- Turbo Nozzle:Mario turns on the Turbo Nozzle and begins to rocket away at Turbo Speed. This ability consumes one liter of water per turn but increases Mario's DEX Mod by 3. Contains a 3 turn cooldown when it is deactivated. (Self Dex Buff)
Shell Kick: A reliable technique that Mario has developed and honed to great effectiveness. Mario takes out a random shell and gives it a solid hard kick to launch it at the enemy with high speed and force. However, Mario has many items stuffed in his overalls so what he pulls out is completely up to chance. When using this technique, Mario rolls a 1d20 to determine what shell he pulls out to kick. The effects and power of the kick is determined on the shell he pulls out. 2 turn cooldown.[Random Dex Attack]
1-3: Banana Peel Mixup: Mario pulls out a banana by mistake and causes himself to slip, the banana peel has a chance to hit someone in the face for 2% damage.
4-7: Green Shell: Mario pulls out a green shell and kicks it, sending it flying at the foe in a straight line. The shell can bounce off wall. (10% damage)
8-10: Red Shell: Mario kicks a Red Shell at the foe. The shell has homing properties and has a +1 to hitting the foe. (16% damage)
11-14: Triple Green Shell: Mario pulls out 3 Green Shells that proceed to spin around him. He can kick these shells for 10% damage each, or use them to take 5% damage off from blows and using them. He can not use another shell while these shells are still around.
15-17: Blue Shell: Mario gets lucky and pulls out the shell that is the nightmare to any great Mario Karter. The Blue Shell seeks out the enemy with the highest health remaining and attempts to blow them up in a blue explosion. It is ruthless to the enemy in 'first place' and lets no obstacle stand in it's way. The explosion can harm foes close to the target as well. (22% damage)
18-20 Lazy Shell: Mario pulls out one of the strongest, heaviest and most durable shells known to man, the Lazy Shell deals immense damage to the target it hits but it is hard to get good speed, so it has a -1 to hit and consumes 2 actions. However those it crashes with will be hurting. (32% Damage)
Final Smash (1)
Super Star Power: Mario pulls out a Star and activates it, turning into a powered up state with enhanced speed and power but a really short time frame. Making full use of it, Mario combos the foe with overwhealming force before stunning them in time for the Mario Finale, a fierce dragon of fire that consumes the foe in flames for large damage. Afterwards, the star power wears off. (Single Target 60%)
Other Info: Mario is the leader the Life Sphere needs but not the one they deserve.
