Marie was currently prepping up her favorite Charger, the Bamboozler 14 MK II, for a upcoming occasion. She was preparing for the first Turf War on the Life Sphere as a attempt to boost morale, and since she was going to be participating in the event herself, she was making sure she was as ready as she could be. To test herself, she tested her aim on some moving targets, and she was able to hit most of the targets. Once she was done practicing her aim with her Bamboozler, Marie quickly rushed out of her practice area, and headed for the announcement ring to start the event.

"Hello all citizens of the Life Sphere. I, Marie would like to announce a special event available to all of the people here, which will be broadcast live across this fine city. This special event is a famous sport from my world known as Turf Wars, and there is one simple rule. You have to make sure to ink up more terrain then your opponent in the given time frame. Now to demonstrate this event, I will hold a basic 2 v 2 Match to show you how it's played. And to insure that people will join in on this demonstration, I will give the winners o a special prize I have prepared for the event. Good luck to all sides participating, and I hope you play your best!"

"Has anyone ever told you you have a really nice speaking voice?" Ashe remarked from nearby, beaming brightly at Marie as she approached. "Nice shots by the way. My name's Ashe, and if you need a sharp shooter I'm your girl~! Let's team up for this match, alright? Speaking of the match..." Ashe introduced and mused aloud, considering her a-trans forms for a moment. "For this match, though, the goal is making a great big mess of the arena, right? I think I know the perfect solution for that~" Ashe went on to remark, striking a pose. "A-Trans!" she declared. On cue, the small floating metal object that looked very vaguely like a face shifted over to Ashe and fused with her in a burst of light. When the light cleared, Ashe's form had radically changed! No longer was she a teenage girl, but... but... What the hell?!

"I'm a cold-blooded abomination... with extra hot cheese~!"

Where Ashe had once stood was now a monster pizza with pepperonis for eyes, cheese arms and cardboard legs extending out of a pizza box that supported its weight.

[Rina]

Schezo made his entrance to the arena, rather curious about what's going on here. A 'turf war' isn't very known from his home land, but it's apparently some kind of sport. With the Dark Wizard having a bit of a slump, something like this would be an interesting change of pace. Firing ink to cover turf, and the one who claims more wins? That's unlike anything Schezo's heard of.

But what the heck is going to be used to perform just that??? Schezo looks rather puzzled among his peers, moreso in that one of them is a pizza.

And moreso in that Schezo is...not that great with teamwork.

"......I'm not sure if it was a wise decision to participate in this," he muttered to himself.

Meanwhile, while everyone was distracted by Ashe's turning into a pizza, an Octoling hopped up onto the arena. While she didn't care about any prize that was being offered, her pride wouldn't allow to lose to the Inkling woman. Once the Octoling was ready after she prepared her Splat Bombs beforehand, she standed next to Schezo, and snapped her finger in front of the guy to get his attention. "Excuse me, but if you don't mind, I will be partnering with you on the Turf War." The Octoling said.

Meanwhile, Marie was kinda weirded out and intrigued by Ashe's shapeshifting. She knew that there were some weird beings out there, but she didn't expect someone who could also change between forms like herself. "Ok, you really have to explain to me how you transform" Marie said, "But it'll have to wait until I officially start this." After finishing her brief conversation, Marie quickly handed Ashe and Schezo ink versions of their own weapons to use for the battle, before guiding her contestants to their starting positions.

"Well it is almost time to begin this match. Now for this 2v2 Match I, Marie, and Ashe will be Team Green, while Schezo and that Octoling will be Team Purple. As a quick reminder, the goal is to ink the turf, so focus on using your best moves to spread your ink quickly. Now from the count of 3...

"Sure thing!" Ashe replied to Marie, just sort of emptying a container of ink into her cheesy body, mixing it about until her cheese turned a nice shade of green. How freakish! Ashe then patiently waited for Marie to finish her countdown before casually stretching her cheesy arms high into the air and bringing them down onto the ground with a powerful thud! Inky green cheese was spent splattering everywhere in the immediate area.

"See, I have this friend named Model A. And he's really special y'know. He collects DNA, and whenever we're merged I can transform into anyone I've collected DNA from!" Ashe began to explain, only to peel off a piece of her stuffed crust and take aim towards center of the arena with. She then gave the stuffed crust a big squeeze, a blast of cheese shooting out with explosively compressed force!

The cheese that made up her body seemed to shift and bubble for a moment before she violently exploded in a storm of bacon bits covered in molten cheese!

Schezo turned to the Octoling, acknowledging her presence before the war began. He can safely assume the battle is a 2-on-2 bout, with the one hosting the sporting event taking part. The first thing he noticed was the weaponry. A gun linked to the ink tank with several bombs with a tetrahedron frame. He didn't question it, but there wasn't much time to dawdle about it anyway. He simply nodded in affirmation and proceeded to take action.

"Let's win this."

Drawing his sword, he began to ready a myriad of spells to take action. The first of which, he summoned several bolts of lightning off to his left, suddenly converting into ink colored in the complementary hue opposing the rival team.

Huh. So the stage converts one's attacks to this paint? I see how it'd mark one's territory now.

After confirming his observations, he continued to cover more ground with his magic, casting a barrage of dark arrows on the unclaimed turf.

Then he wondered...What about the sword itself? It can produce magic if he wished it to. With the sword's blade wrapped in darkness, he swung in front of himself, somehow producing ink. It was...an unusual observation, but whatever works, works. He continued to brandish the sword, painting what's directly in front of himself when he covered his distance with magic.

"That's surprisingly good for someone who uses a sword." The Octoling said torwards Schezo. She was impressed at how quickly the wizard was spreading magic with his blade, as she thought that only the Octarian and Inkling races could use ink this skillfully. While she could admire how adaptive Schezo could be, she knew she had to make a focus on winning the match and winning over that Inkling Marie. "Now, while you may be good for painting, can you do something like this? As she was saying this, Octoling grabbed one of the filled Splat Bombs from her backpack and threw it onto the battlefield, as it exploded in a big pile of ink.

"Or this!" Octoling said, as she fired two concentrated rounds of ink at the field, inking up the terrain as well as the enemy's terrain once she noticed that the entire arena was fully inked, the enemy's terrain, turning the green ink-like cheese she targeted purple.

"Wow, you can use DNA to Transform? That's so cool, maybe after this match I can give you some of my Ink? I'm sure it contains some form of DNA you can use, and then we could have fun with it! As Marie was talking with Ashe, she was using her Bamboozler to launch a long stream of ink in a quick trail, so she could use it to find some of the enemy team's ink and splat it up.

As Marie ran across the arena, she began to see some of the enemy team's ink. "Now let's see... I guess it's finally time to take the opponent's Ink!" Marie then started covering her hands in ink, and tried painting the enemy ink to leave a message that she was here, if only to troll them.

By the time Marie finished signing her name into the enemy ink, she then decided to paint the surrounding area in the arena in the quickest way possible. Marie then started turning into her squid form and quickly sailed around the area surrounding the message she left, making sure that she wouldn't paint over her own message by mistake.

Ashe was... slightly surprised that Marie wanted to give her some of her DNA. Not too surprised, mind you, but a little. Didn't everyone want to see the world's most uncanny doppelganger? "...Alright~! Sounds fun! It won't give me a perfect copy of your voice, but that just means we'll be able to make a nice chorus together~!" Ashe replied rather light-heartedly, stretching her arms into the air and twisting to bring them slamming down onto the field where the octoling had just dropped her ink bomb and another part of the arena near schezo, sending gooey, inky green cheese exploding outwards with each strike.

She then stormed on over to the center of the field and hunkered down again, the molten cheese that made up her body beginning to bubble dangerously as it had before. "This is a brieze~! I knew I picked the right form the job." Ashe punned carelessly, moments before exploding again in a shower of bacon bits and molten cheese.

Schezo acknowledged the comment on his swordplay. Though, in fairness, he never was a swordsman first, he's a Dark Wizard. Shelving that comment aside, he came to notice the bombs and its detonation.

Huh. So those are some kind of bombs?

After trading turf coverage, Schezo glanced at what has been covered resulted in the rival team having the advantage. No matter, it's still early in the battle! As he looked around, he took notice of an ignored portion of the stadium, casting his magic over to that portion to claim it as his. He pointed his blade to take aim, and he cast his magic. It's their loss for not paying attention!

After his brief moment of covering on his own time, he turned back to the main fray, swinging his sword about to leave splatters of ink conjured from his magic. Seeing as it's quite busy, letting them go to their whims is not what he should leave alone for too long.

"What the..." The Octoling responded, as she saw a small puddle of her own team's ink among a huge amount of Marie's Paint. As she looked at it, she saw that in the middle of the ink puddle was a message in the ink that said Marie Was Here. "Ugh, that Inkling is way to confident in herself, so I might as well ruin that confidence. Hey Schezo, don't just focus on unclaimed areas, also focus on the opponent's Turf. For example... Octoling quickly aimed her Octoshot and aimed it directly at the message Marie wrote and fired a blast of ink.

Marie was having a lot of fun with Ashe, as she felt that Ashe's unpredictability and skills painting the turf was a bit interesting. She was even considering having her be a replacement to Callie if she couldn't find her, but at the moment, she had to find a way to win the Turf War with her. "Hey Ashe, lets have some fun with inking this arena!" As Marie said that, she felt herself getting stronger around Ashe, and she felt she could ink anything in the world.

(Sisterly Bond activated. +2 attack roll bonus and can ink 3% additional terrain with all of their attacks so long as they are working together)

"Hey Ashe, try catching me and throwing me across the Arena! I have something planned that will pretty much ink the entirity of the arena!" Once Marie finished her exclamation, she started running torwards Ashe with her Bamboozler in hand, preparing to use her Ink Propulsion Bash Attack to propel herself across the arena and launching green ink everywhere.

Ashe felt a sense of strength come to her, a solidarity with her teammate that made her more confident in Marie's actions. She felt like they were coordinating better, learning how to evenly split up the arena for maximum coverage... And then Marie asked to be thrown. Woah. Suddenly out of left field. Ashe hesitated only a moment before flashing Marie a thumbs up in response. "Can do~! Hold your breathe for a moment, alright?" Ashe replied rather light-heartedly. Wait... what? She caught Marie in her gooey arms and promptly detached another piece of crust from her body, lowering it and stuffing Marie into the crust, briefly submerging her in the inky cheese. ...A shiver ran through her body. That had decidedly felt unexpectedly weird for her, and she eagerly took aim and squeezed the crust to end this unexpected intimacy by launching Marie across the arena in a small torrent of brie cheese. The cheese would rain down around her as she flew, helping to cover any spots she missed

Ashe then rushed forward and faulted herself across the arena by slamming her fists into the ground, thrusting herself up into the air with the explosive cheesy force and launching herself high into the air above Marie!

Ashe then began to perform a familiar technique, her body appearing to boil before abruptly exploding! Green inky cheese and bacon bits rained down across the entire arena, a delicious rain that covered a lot of inconsistent territory. ...Landing nearby Marie, Ashe fell into a crouch and returned to her normal megamerged form. Oddly enough, she was now holding two ring shaped ink guns with two barrels at opposite ends of the gun. Spinning them around, she backed into Marie and struck a pose. "...That felt amazing Don't know about you. I think we've got this in the bag!" Ashe remarked. ...She could really use some better fashion than the bodysuit she was rocking.

"Huh- ARRGH!"

One of the rare times Schezo lost his cool, he was suddenly awash with green ink that flooded the arena. Every which way turned green, heck, he himself was a mess of it. His swordman garb was no longer the light indigo color it usually is, now it's dyed a neon green. And just like that, the lead they had was taken away in almost an instant, and it seems a change of strategy is in order. Schezo turned to his teammate, wishing to come up with a second plan. Their opponents pulled out the stops, and his team needs to do some double time to even catch up.

...if she hasn't been splatted, anyway.

"You have another plan? It's past half, and we must double our efforts."

As he consulted, he swiped his sword in front of the ground, trying to get some footing. Interestingly enough, even though the ink is made of the same substance, the green-colored one is more viscous to him.

As the Octoling was preparing another Splat Bomb, she was met face first with a wave of ink and cheese. As she was covered in the Ink and cheese, her body could not handle that much ink, and as such her body was splatted, as she exploded into a blast of green ink. As she respawned onto the battlefield a few seconds later, she noticed that the entire battlefield has been covered in green ink and green cheese, and that the pizza she was fighting disappeared, replaced with a girl with two ring shaped guns. At this moment, she just looked down at herself, and she noticed that while the green ink had disappeared from her body after respawning, the cheese was still on her clothes. now various shades of yellow.

"Oh you are going to pay one day Ashe, wherever you are. Hey Schezo, help me get this cheese off my clothes and just use your strongest moves!"

As Marie got up from her attack, she saw that she ended up covered completely in green cheese from being submerged in Ashe. Since she was curious of if the cheese was even edible, Marie took a bite, and was met with the most tasty food she had ever tasted, and she went to take a few more bites of the cheese on her body before talking to Ashe again. "Oh. My. God. This is the absolute tastiest stuff I have ever tried! Ashe, I am surprised you haven't eaten yourself in your..." When Marie turned torwards her ally, she saw that she turned back to normal, and was now wielding two ring shaped ink guns. "Well, you aren't in it anymore, but you should really try this cheese your made up of in that form! Oh speaking of which, I think I may have accidentally splatted you a bit while using my attack to splat the entire arena. On the bright side though, it mainly landed on what looks like the Model A you used to fuse into that pizza form, so it looks like you can absorb my DNA right now if you wanted to. Anyway, lets make sure this arena gets completely green!

At this point, Marie pulled out her Bamboozler and started firing on the turf that Schezo was starting to paint, making big, concentrated shots while using her hands to paint up whatever she missed with her concentrated shots.

Ashe was somewhat taken aback when she ...felt Marie taking a bite of her her. It didn't really hurt, given that she had no nerves, but it did bring on a very slight feeling of weakness that told her it probably wasn't a good idea to take Marie's advice.

Ashe wasn't about to get into the details, but suffice to say the ensuing tummyache had nearly caused her to begin hating pizza. ...Almost. Without a word, Model A eagerly absorbed Marie's DNA for later. That would be fun to try out, but right now Model A was tired and wouldn't be able to accomplish anything until he rested for a bit. Thankfully, Ashe on the other hand was not tired. Spinning her busters about, Ashe provided covering fire behind Marie as the other advanced. Her expert marksmanship covered a lot of the areas she missed, little blasts of ink-laden plasma popping against the ground.

Ashe then turned her busters on Schezo, building up power in each laser shot to launch some serious ink. Not wanting to stand there for long, she prematurely fired off one of her busters, launching a small torrent of ink right in front of Schezo and potentially cutting off his advance momentarily. She was making a point to playfully mess with her fellow silver haired warrior, flashing a rather cocky smile his way.

Schezo shook himself to try and shake off some of the ink on him. Some of it was starting to drip onto his face, and it'd be a bad thing to let it obstruct his sight. He pointed his sword once again at the green turf, continuing to shoot his magic at it.

After his Still covered in the neon-green ink, Schezo raised his blade skyward, focusing his magic towards its tip. As the concentrated dark power grew, Schezo unleashed its energy and to a designated area on the ground. Upon casting it, what happened in place of the dark blades, a tornado of ink came spiraling out from its magical ring. ...Is this Schezo's rendition of an Inkstrike?
