History On Li: The crushing explosion that ripped the universes into fragments not only blasted through space, it also blasted through time. His reincarnation's, Ganondorf Dragmire of the Gerudo, soul was a perfect conduit for that powerful energy to reach back into time and space, where it found the other fragmented pieces of Demise's soul. Scattered far and wide by the dual efforts of the Goddess' Spirit and the Spirit of the Hero, even throughout time, sealed throughout the ages, the dark energy had a long way to travel - but, through his descendant, it found him.
Lying dormant in the Underworld that he had first crawled from at the time of creation from primordial energies was the oldest and weakest fragmentation of his soul, the only second to it being the pieces within the Master Sword itself. Barely conscious, save for his connection to his descendant, Demise felt . . . something. He had once thought that it would require his reincarnation to reforge the Triforce in order for him to be returned to full power - but, as this powerful energy backlashed throughout time and erupted into his being, Demise felt his fragmented soul shards once again reform, as the dark forces gave him the energy and power necessary to reform.
Breaking free of his seal, Demise rose once again, at full power, and instantly began to revel in the feeling of once again being alive. All those years he's been here, watching, waiting, for his descendant to sooner or later succeed in claiming the Triforce so that he could be reborn . . . those were over. He could claim it for himself, now.
He had conquered time itself before, and it wasn't long before he had it at his disposal again. Gripping onto the fabric of time, he pulled himself along, following the dark energy that had revived him to a glorious sight - a shattered and destroyed Hyrule, brought to its knees by some massive catastrophe.
His journey wasn't over, though. He was still incomplete. With the wave of a hand, he fixed that. A void of darkness appeared, and a stream of diamonds fell out of it to form his faithful follower - Ghirahim.
It had been so long! All those years ago, his master was destroyed, and he dissipated back into the Underworld out of fear that he was next. Without someone to wield him, he was just a useless trinket. That wretched, green brat somehow got the upper hand. Give the boy some respect, and suddenly, he thought he was good enough to take down Demise! Demise!
He stayed in the Underworld, for the most part. Kept out of everyone's hair. Link went on to do great and mighty things, no doubt, and Fi along with him, somewhere. They were spirits of weapons, after all; they couldn't perish. Wherever his opposite was, it was as far away from him as possible, which was a good thing. Revolting against Hylia had been such an arduous task, and turning into a demon spirit had been even more so. What would he have done had they somehow reversed it?
It was these thoughts that kept him down, tending to the small sliver of power that was left of his precious master. Every now and again, he'd go on his own errands, do some rampant villainy and have a little fun, but, never enough to get people asking or worrying about him. He never went to the same town twice and never did the same thing. He always waited a few months or years between excursions; played it safe.
It was on one such excursion that everything happened.
He had left into the era of Twilight, after the issue had been settled with the recent reincarnation of Demise. Despite his ancestor, the recurring Ganondorf was quite a bore. Sure, he was great here and there, and did wonderful acts of evil, but, he could never accomplish the sole reason of his existence: Claim the Triforce to raise Demise. Going into the city, he stuck to the shadows, roaming the streets in human form. His eyes suddenly fell on a strangely familiar looking princess, wearing the Hyrulian royal crest, looking almost exactly like the one he kidnapped . . . the one who was always in his way, and helped restore Demise. Such a thoughtful sacrifice. Just the hair was off. He sneaked up behind her and was about to steal away with her, again . . .
. . . only to suddenly be sucked in by a wild vortex, and the princess along with him! They had a quick scuffle before she went her own way, and he went his. A disastrous explosion sounded all around, and the beautiful Hyrule was picked up off of its foundations, centuries strong, while Ghirahim was thrown up in the air.
When he fell, he fell onto a ruined wasteland of the castle proper he had been in just moments ago, the disastrous effects of whatever had just happened having destroyed everything. It was a beautiful sight; one his master would be proud of.
And, it was almost at this thought, that he felt the presence. It was unmistakable. Suddenly, he felt his masters will, and without question, fell to his side as his magic brought him to the newly restored Demise.
Soon after they surfaced, they learned of the organization known as the Order of Despair. What better place to start for two demons on a mission to conquer all that is great and peaceful and make it their own?
Ghirahim's Attacks (4)
As Demise's weapon, Ghirahim is most often found in his Demon Sword form, but, is a powerful combatant and skilled sword fighter in his own right. Throughout the battle, Demise may un-equip Ghirahim and allow the charismatic demon to do as he wishes.
Diamond Kunar: Ghirahim summons a set of curved kunais, crafted from red diamonds, and launches them in rapid fire. [{WIS} 7% Damage, Combo Effect]
Parry: Ghirahim watches his opponents with a sword fighter's eye, noting their habits and punishing them for making them. [{CON} Blocks 1 Melee-Based Attack that has been used at least once already this turn, counter-attacks for same amount of Damage. Counter is {WIS} Based. 1-CD.]
Demon Saber: Ghirahim draws a thin sword out of pure dark energy, capable of slipping past sloppy defenses. [{WIS} 14% Damage. 20% against Shields.]
Teleport: The demon lord disappears into an array of diamonds, and reappears somewhere else. Can be comboed as a single attack with Demon Saber, but, reduces Demon Saber's damage to 8% and removes the extra effect. [{WIS}]
Primary Attacks (3)
Demonic Swordplay: Demise, a powerful and accomplished sword fighter, uses his signature weapon to attack. [{STR} 8%, Combos. Without Ghirahim, attacks at 15% without Combo]
Demon Magic: Demise channels the magical energy within his Demon Sword for powerful bursts of dark energy. [{WIS} 16% Damage. Without Ghirahim, attacks at 6% Damage with Combo]
Demonic Might: Demise attacks with his body instead of his sword, proving capable even without his trusted weapon. [{STR} 15%. Without Ghirahim, 18%.]
Special Attacks (3)
Living Weapon: While equipped with Ghirahim, their powers are combined. Without Ghirahim, he can summon a sword in his image, but, without the same level of power. [Demise gains +4 STR and can use Ghirahim's WIS Score for his Attacks while equipped with the Demon Sword. Active for three turns at a time, during which Ghirahim cannot attack. 2-CD.]
Lightning Charge: Demise raises his blade and calls down a lightning strike from the heavens, charging his blade with electrical energy. [+1 Lightning Charge. Attacks gain +1% Damage per Lightning Charge, with a max of 5 Lightning Charges. When Ghirahim is unequipped, he retains the Lightning Charges, but, gains no benefit.]
Lightning Strike: Raising his blade to meet a called bolt of lightning, Demise swings his blade to create an arc of mixed electrical and dark energy in any direction with impressive speed and power. [{WIS} 15%. Expends all Lightning Charges on use, gaining +2% Damage per Lightning Charge. Without Ghirahim, deals 10%, and gains no bonus Damage.]
Strength of the True Form
His full power at his disposal once again, Demise collapses time around the battlefield, using his immense might to even forbid the gods from interfering. Releasing Ghirahim to take on his true form while he conjures a back-up sword, the duo strike out against the unlucky foes trapped in their wrath for what seem like an eternity, even though no time passes in real life. Afterwords, time forces its way out of Demise's grip and repairs itself, but, Ghirahim stays in his true form for a moment longer.
[Series of 15 Strikes add up to 30% Damage. Afterwords, Ghirahim remains in true form for 3 Turns, adding 5% Damage to all of his attacks (and all attacks that Demise uses while equipped with him).
