The world outside the gates of the Life Sphere seemed to be much gloomier on this day than any other. The sky was covered with clouds that looked to be smoke since they were so grey and dull. The sun was barely visible and gave off very little light, but it was enough for anyone who didn’t have night vision to see what was ahead of them well enough. Black Doom’s sea star looking eye waited at the gates for the heroes he had enlisted for this rescue mission. He seemed so ominous and emotionless as he floated next to the open gate.

Henry stepped out of the gate's, stretching his right arm in a circle motion. His blade turned off and sheathed in his hip as well as his trench coat on and moving with the wind. He stepped closer to the eye he put his arm's down in a more gentlemanly way as he looked at him with his face still "Well, your certainly a odd one...Though this isn't what you actually look like, right?"

Henry tapped his chin at black doom's eye and tried to access what exactly he was looking at. Eventually he knew he'd come across some kind of creature or monster in his lifetime of oddities but he never suspected...well a floating starfish. Henry just stood there, tapping his chin and trying to prepare himself for a kind and gentlemanly introduction.

"Well, you may call me Henry cooldown. I suppose we should just wait fir the others to arrive then, Black doom." He put his arms crossed against his chest, leaning against the walls of the gate and waiting for teh others to arrive so we may begin.

Daisy stepped out of the gates of the Life Sphere and felt an immediately chill of discomfort run up her spine. This was the first time she'd set foot outside of the Sphere's protection since she'd stumbled across it while running for her life from the infected. She always figured she'd be leaving the gates again as part of one of Mario's expedition teams, and found herself suddenly feeling disheartened to be doing it alone.

"Come on... snap out of it, big baby," She muttered to herself, kneeling down to retie her shoelaces, "Things don't always go the way you expect - you should know that by now." She rubbed her hands together to keep them from trembling and yanked her laces around into tight knots. She jumped up and jogged on the spot.

"Okay, let's do this!" She said as she took off at speed over to where a man in a trenchcoat stood by a giant floating eye-monster... Why was she always going on missions with freaky-looking weirdos?!? Where were all the normal guys?? She promised herself she wouldn't judge them too quickly based on their appearance this time.

"Sup, I'm Daisy." She said as she approached the group. "Which one of you is... Black Doom?"

A.I.M. would much rather guard the borders of the Life Sphere in order to know firsthand that the place was protected, but it had agreed to aid Black Doom’s eye in retrieving his true body. Given the amount of information that was stored in the sage machine it knew of Black Doom’s past behaviors. However, the robot predicted that the black alien might be grateful for the retrieval of his body and perhaps be more helpful than hostile.

From above the gate’s wall, descended A.I.M., the great pillar of fire bursting from its exhaust leading its way down. The robot positioned adjusted its angle of descent as it came closer to the ground so that it could land smoothly and avoid dropping on any of its current allies. The robot’s exhaust seized and it dropped next to Doom’s eye. The semi-large robot analyzed its companions, identifying one as Daisy since she was a semi-popular face around the Life Sphere and the other it took time to scan before it was given a result.

“This creature is Black Doom” it replied to Daisy while pointing at the starfish-like being. “This unit is A-I-M” it spoke once again as it changed its pointing position to itself.

Black Doom remained fairly quiet, seeming very vacant since the creature lacked any facial features to express emotion. The singular eye watched the man in the trench coat when he first appeared, though didn’t speak until the other two revealed themselves. His eye switched view to each of his hired help as they appeared.

After A.I.M. introduced him, Doom began to speak. “The drone is half right, I am a being that Black Doom has full command over. The three of you should have an idea of where my true form currently is” the levitating creature spoke with its deep booming voice. “Our venture into the meteorite field is going to be a long one, I would hope for your sakes that you’re all prepared” the creature spoke once again.

“Every minute we spend here, I can feel the infection creep closer and closer into my mind. I’d rather not have my body be used against my will. Let’s get moving” the six legged creature demanded in apathy. Doom’s eye turned his thin body and began to accelerate forward at a slow enough speed for the other to catch up to without much effort.

The path that lied ahead of the group was a flat plain that went on for a couple miles. The only place that could hide enemies around here were stray rock and the occasional patch of tall grass that wasn’t dead which were few and far in between. This area was made to be flat and clear of obstructions by A.I.M. a very long time ago since there used to be an issue with infected creatures sneaking their way to the front gates. It was very difficult for anything to be stealthy around these parts.

Henry kept his blade sheathed, just following the floating eye he was calling a leader for now. He crossed his arms while he walked. He wasn't used to this environment of empty plains. The last time he had been in a place like this, he was fighting a character from his brothers anime's in a dream. Just the very thought of that moment made Henry cringe. He had to admit he was somewhat thankful for the lack of hiding places in this place.
