((Yes hello! This is going to be a relatively short freeform thread. There will be little to no consequence for your actions, so feel free to enjoy yourself and enjoy the ride.))

It was a lovely autumn evening in the forest, quiet and uneventful as usual. One could almost forget that there was an apocalypse going on as they laid their eyes upon the beautiful meadow. The group would arrive via magical painting. The dead painting had come back to life at Peach's touch. Apparently she had enough power to make them work in that heart of hers, at least temporarily. Peach was the last to step through, as she had to maintain the portal. When she did she took a deep breath of the local air and smiled. It was very fresh in comparison to most of the life sphere. One could only wonder how long these forests would remain protected from the starvia. What a terrible thought.

Peach turned to the other girls and brushed off her dress. "Well, we're here. Now all we have to do is search..." she explained, though her tone held a noticeable tinge of worry in it. She was somehow afraid to have an answer to her question.

"Wow it's so beautiful in here, all the Autumn colors; brown, red, Yellow and Orange!" Daisy admired of the environment, as she twirled around in the leaves. "This place has so much detail for a painting! Each and every kind of leaf has it's own shape and vein pattern!" she marveled as she inspected a leaf off the ground.
"I can think of way worse places to be trapped in than here!" she chuckled, tossing a batch of leaves into the air to rain down like confetti.
"And all we gotta do is find them? Like Power Stars? Sounds like fun to me.~ Hey maybe they're in that big pile of leaves over there!" she suggested excitedly, taking an excuse to dive into a big mountain of leaves not far off in the distance.

After meeting with the princess trio and going through the magical painting, Paula had now joined Daisy at reaching the otherside to Starpiece Meadow, with Daisy thinking there actually In a portrait. "Well, It was just a portal to Starpiece Meadow Daisy...A portal that someone put a lot Into If they made It into a portrait similar to this forest were In." Paula said as she watched Daisy run to a nearby pile of leafs and jump on them, she giggled before looking at Peach, Paula was wearing the same clothes she wore when she rescued Rosalina's luma.

And also had a ponytail tied behind her as her hair was long enough to have a ponytail...However she noticed her hair had never, grew an inch ever since she came to Li, odd, but she didn't question It, right now she want's to know where the group Is going first.

As Paula waited for Rosalina to come out of the portal next, she wondered where Peach wanted to go to start her search for her parents.

"So Peach, I was wondering where do we want to start In searching for your parents? These meadows are very big and there's lots of places to look In. Heck this Is even my first time coming here and I'm already confused In the place were In." Paula said as a piece of leaf fell onto her nose.

"Nice scenery though."

"Indeed, it reminds me of the Golden Leaf Galaxy. They both share that same aesthetical appearance. I wonder if any bees have made home here too..." Rosalina stated as she came through. Paula seemed rather disinterested in the appearance of the place. Still, she wanted to see Daisy enjoy herself on this trip... She definitely deserved it after everything that has happened.

Still, she was not one to just go jumping into leaf piles as Daisy. She had a bit of self control she liked to keep a hold of... Even if she lost it one time due to bad events. Still, she pressed that thought out of her mind to focus on the task at hand. "It is a pleasant place to look at... Might be nice to have a picnic or some other manner of party. For now though we should focus on our search," Rosalina suggested. She may of had the mental image of a picnic with Peach for a moment there... Thankfully ignoring any bad imagery that may bring back.

Peach beamed at Daisy, watching the other's antics. She was neither surprised nor offended by the other's liveliness. It wasn't behavior fit for Peach herself, at least not at this exact moment, but she did appreciate Daisy's almost childlike sense of wonder. It was refreshing, amusing even. She giggled slightly before she responded. "That's because it's all real, Daisy! I hate to bring down your mood, but we'll have to walk back to the castle after we're done. It will be a long trip." Peach explained softly, not wanting the girls to get any wrong ideas about how long they were going to be out. Perhaps their trip back would turn into a journey of its own. She then turned to Paula and just sort of shrugged apologetically. "I... I don't know, Paula." she replied in a soft tone of voice, a note of distress coming over her. "Unfortunately this is the best we have to go on, and it doesn't seem like we're going to get a better clue..." Peach continued, glancing around the beautiful forest.

"...Which is why it means a lot to me that you all chose to stand by my side, even when things look this hopeless. You're all wonderful friends." Peach would continue after a long moment's pause, her normally pleasant mood returning. She gestured towards the open forest. "For now we will have to trust our hearts to lead us in the right direction. Maybe we'll find someone or something that can give us a better clue of where to go if we look hard enough." she explained, moving to slip her hand into Rosalina's in a subtle manner. The other might not even notice until it happened. She then turned to flash a bright smile at Rosalina, attempting to inspire her with confidence, before moving to begin walking forward. They had a long day ahead of them.

“Oh.” Daisy said a little embarrassed upon realizing this place was all real. “Well, nothing steals the real deal anyway.” She shrugged dismissively, not letting her mood be spoiled. Next to spring and summer, Autumn was one of Daisy’s favorite times of year. She didn’t wear the colors of orange and yellow as her aesthetic all year round for nothing.

“What was that, Peach? I can’t hear you! The Autumn’s really loud!” Daisy blissfully whistled “Beware the Forest Mushrooms” ignoring Peach’s talk of the long walk home. It wasn’t that she minded the long hike with the girls, perhaps it was the thought of leaving this place so soon. She let herself fall backwards into the pile of leaves…and she hit something!

"Ow! What the?!" Daisy grumbled, rubbing her head in pain. She turned around and dug into the pile of leaves to see what exactly it was that she hit.
“…Hey! No way! Girls come quick! I think I found a clue!”

Paula was touched when Peach told her, along with Rosalina and Daisy that they were great friends and thanked them all for coming to find her parents...Speaking of Rosalina, she finally managed to get through the portal and joined the party. "It's no problem Peach, we'll do all we can to find your parents, there probably around here somewhere...Hiding from infected hopefully, or maybe fighting them with high levels of technology!" Paula said thinking about the fate of Peach's parents...As Daisy discovered something under the pile of leaf's she was jumping In.

"You found something Daisy?" Paula said as Daisy called the trio over to her over her discovery, Paula walked over to her to see what she found.

"What did you find?"

Rosalina raised an eyebrow at Paula's response to Peach... Well, the one that was not masked completely by hair anyway. She had doubts Peach's parents were the type to fight off hordes. Granted, she never met them herself to her memory but she had that feeling. Still, she did not voice out loud so as not to worry Peach. Perhaps she was wrong and they found some safe spot they did not need to worry. If Peach felt the same concern then she did not need to voice it. If she did not, it was best to let her have that optimism.

"Of course, Special One. It was only right I would help you find them. After all, I know the feeling of missing my lumas. You have cured me partially of that worry before so it is right I do the same. Besides, I would love to meet them in person," Rosalina stated in response to Peach's thanks. She did not really notice it at first but her hand seemingly accepted Peach's invitation on it's own. Her mind did not even seem to register it outside the fact it just happened. The grip and warm feeling coming out of nowhere at first. It did help ease her, that much was for certain.

Just then, Daisy's frolicking seemed to unearth something. "Hm? What did you find Daisy?" Rosalina asked as she let Peach lead their movements.

Peach was momentarily bewildered by the idea of her parents using technology to fight the infected. A giggle escaped her. The idea of either of them wielding a gun was just silly. Before they could really get a move on, however, Daisy threw herself into a pile of leaves and claimed she conveniently hit her head on a clue. This stunned Peach. What--...No, no. That was just silly. She humored Daisy, however. "What makes you say that, Daisy..?" Peach asked in bemusement.

Daisy dug through the pile of leaves to the hard thing and pulled out a Music Box!

She could tell it was a music box from the chiming noises it made as she unearthed it. It was shaped like a pink upside down mushroom...wait, it was upside down, and the mushroom had a crown on it. How very odd. Daisy examined it and felt around it for some sort of activation mechanism.

"Hey, the crown can spin." Daisy discovered that the music box could be wound up by spinning the crown like the dial on an old time telephone. "Now let's see what the top song of yesterday's count down is."

The worn and hardened music box still functioned well enough to produce a very nostalgic Mushroom Kingdom melody. One with historic ties to the royal family.


"Hey I know this song... Isn't this..?" She looked towards Peach, the title of the song escaping her.

As the group huddled around Daisy to see what she found, she revealed that the object she found was...A music box, In the shape of a golden mushroom. It seems according to Daisy that they had to turn the crown as It was the music dial, which she quickly did as a song was soon heard playing for the four that might be familiar to all three princesses.

But not for Paula, the only seemingly normal girl In the mission as she turned towards Peach.

"It's nice and all, you should keep It, but does It have something to do with your parents by any chance Peach?"

Rosalina listened as Rosalina spun the music box mushroom... There was something familiar about it... Almost nostalgic. Rosalina did visit the Mushroom Kingdom every 100 years for that tree... But she could not quite remember. Granted she has visited the place more often now for Peach's events. It was still hard to place exactly. Either way she was not sure it really helped very much.

Princess Peach just sort of flinched at the sight of the music box. ...What was that doing all the way out here? The familiar tune kept Peach silent for a long moment, seeming to block out the world around her. It took until the end of three rounds of the anthem before Peach seemed to retreat back to reality. She moved to reach out and take the music box from Daisy. "...If only we could follow this clue somewhere." Peach remarked, speaking softly as the music box continued to play. She turned to address the other girls. "This belonged to my grandmother. It's handmade." she explained.

One might notice that there was a subtle echo to the music box's tune, an echo that shouldn't be there.

"Peach? Peach? Hellooo!" Daisy called to her friend, waving a hand in the empty space in front of her she seemed to be gazing longingly into. "Earth to Peach! Hey are you in there, it’s your move, over."
Finally Peach showed signs of consciousness and rejoined the rest of the world.
"Phew. for a second there I thought I had to destroy this thing to break the spell it was putting on you or something." Daisy graciously handed the music box to Peach.
Hearing that the music box was handmade and belonged to the former queen of the Mushroom Kingdom made Daisy’s eyes widen with intrigue.
"Wow that must mean it’s really special. Maybe if we inspect the music box there’d be a clue on it somewhere after all" Daisy bent forward and to meet the music box with her eyes. "hmmm..."

Paula listened to the music box, It was soothing and relaxing, but Peach said that the box belonged to her grandmother. "If It did then that means someone you must know dropped It around here, but so far that's the only clue and It's not pointing us to any directions to your parents or other family members...Like your Grandmother." Paula said as Daisy examined the music box after deciding not to destroy It due to Peach being a bit spacey when she listened to the music.

It had an echo In It. "An echo, why would there be an echo?" Paula said as she suggested something to Daisy.

"Does the music box has a little hatch that allows you to see the inside of It, maybe the clue Is inside the box?"
