Storied History: Penny was born In a desert town on the surface to Thomas Benson and Eileen Riff, Penny loved her parent's dearly and hoped nothing bad would happen to them while they work at a company called Rozcorp SARC. However one day, the two would go on a business trip with another scientist called Finn Dmitri to test a project called "Project Porta" which Is related to portals, Penny would be left with a babysitter during the trip and wished her parent's goodbye...Which would be the last time she would see them.

Before the incident where Thomas and Eileen disappeared, Penny was adventurous and a very smart girl at such a young age. After her parent's sadly became missing she was sent to live with her grandparents In the city, Greg and Gretel, they loved Penny's talents and Gretel would even teach Penny how to knit during her time with them, unfortunately Gretel became sick and sadly passed away soon after getting sick, upsetting Penny and Greg, however Penny would soon become even more upset...At her grandfather.

During Gretel's funeral, Penny wandered around until he found Greg talking to a woman, who owned a very strict girls school, they both agreed that Penny should be sent there since Greg was becoming too busy with his job, Penny was shocked by this and her relationship with her grandfather was ruined...She was soon shipped off to the girls school soon after Gretel's funeral.

Her time at the woman's school, who's name was Tillerwomen, was a bad one, she was often bullied in and outside of class due to her silliness, It became worse when she made a small garden outside her dorm window and trusted a seemingly nice roommate named Alissa to not tell anyone about It...She broke her promise and she was forced to watch Alissa destroy the garden.

The Teacher's often ignored Penny's desperate situation and she would usually stay by a large tree In the school's courtyard...Nobody would even go there due to fears of the roots of the tree disconnecting and crushing someone...However one day, the trip to the tree was different...Penny found a mortally wounded mimiga by the tree and quickly raced him back to health.

After barely managing to save the Mimiga's life, the two got to know each other, Penny was surprised that he could talk and so he introduced himself as Riley Dmitri, Penny introduced herself also and agreed to treat Riley's wounds and help him fix the portal so he could get back to his home, The Island.

As month's passed, Penny kept Riley's presence a secret to everyone In her dorm, and Riley would hide under her dorm bed since she fears that they would do something cruel to him should they find out about him. Eventually Riley managed to fix the teleporter back to The Island, on a holiday at the girls school, Penny said her goodbye's to the mimiga...But Riley offered her to come with him to the Island...Which she quickly accepted.

The two soon packed up there belongings and escaped to the island before Tillerwomen or anyone else noticed Penny was missing, upon travelling to the island.

And thus began Riley and Penny's adventures that lasted for eight years...Before the incident changed both of there life's.

History On Li: A few week's after Penny turned eighteen, she and Riley headed to the Sandzone to study some creatures, however things took a sudden turn for the worst as the two soon noticed the island starting to shake and crumble, they managed to get back to there home In the bushlands, however not even there home was safe, as Penny ran into the house, Riley looked around to see what was wrong with the island...

But then the house broke through the ground.

Soon after the house sunk Into the ground, Penny and the building fell towards the surface, due to being In the air, Penny quickly fainted, but Riley came through the hole she fell In soon after to rescue her and the two would soon notice that the surface was different then before.

The surface became Li.

Pistol: A regular gun Penny carry's that she was given at the age of 10 by Riley to defend herself on the Island, however, now that she's on LI, she'll have to use It on the starvia now. (10%)

Needle Sword: A sword that was originally a knitting needle, uses for stabbing and slashing at enemy's...And to knit things, which Penny Is a big fan of. (8%)

Sky Shoes: Shoe's with rockets built Into them that Penny has, she uses them to fly.

Special 

Reptile: A powerful version of the snake gun of the original Cave Story, Penny found It and upgraded It, so she uses It to shoot at enemy's If she's ever in an emergency, however after five shots, Penny need's to wait for three turns to use It again. (14%)

Machine Gun Maximum!: Penny upgraded a machine gun she found one day and she uses It to shoot dozens of bullets towards the enemy for a chance to deal damage, however over time It will run out of bullets and Penny will have to wait three turns before reusing the gun again. (15%)

Fire Blaster: When checking an abandoned house In Mimiga village one day, Penny found Santa's old weapon and upgraded It to act more like a flame thrower instead of shooting fire balls. (13% with a 30% chance of enemy's getting the burn status.)

Ultimate Attack - Spur Shot!

A powerful version of the weapon from Cave Story, Penny take's out the weapon and aims It towards her target, before firing a powerful shot towards It. After the shot Is fired, Penny cannot use this weapon again for the rest of the mission as It need's time to recharge for the next one. (30%)
