As Arle traveled, the temple in the jungle territory of Donkey Kong came into view. The lights were shining through the canopy of the jungle. And to that effect, the Temple was surrounded by the nature of the jungle around it. It was very maiyain in appearance with it's structure. There was a large staircase leading to a doorway on a large moss covered structure. It definitely seems like the place to have a ton of traps between her and the spot she is supposed to plant the seed. There were also several statues of bananas leading to the temple.

In front of the temple stood two figures... Well, one stood and the other kind of floated their with a big smile on his face. It seems these were the two forces  Arle was supplied with. One was a giant rocky fellow that just stood there in silence. Given his rather earthly appearance, it's safe to say he is a Force of Nature... The other was a bit more questionable in that regard. He seemed more the right guy by association than appearance. He looked like some flame headed super hero with a flaming head and a yellow eye as well as a strange cape than something natural. Still, given the silent rock was putting up with him, seemed he had a reason to be here.

"Woah, those guys are huge..!"

Arle was still a distance away when she realized the sheer stature of the forces that had been sent to protect her on her mission. Arle ran up to join the two before her, the smol girl looking up to them in wonder as she took in their features. "Wow--Viridi doesn't skimp on the support~! My name's Arle." Arle remarked light-heartedly, though the thought occured to her that it might be because the other didn't trust her to get the mission done on her own. Arle dismissed this thought however, as it seemed like something she needn't concern herself with. If Viridi wasn't sure of her skills, she'd just have to work hard and prove she could be trusted with the task! Speaking of Viridi, Arle decided to try out that whole telepathy thing Viridi spoke of. Seemed like as good a time as any.

"I've arrived outside the temple and met up with the others." Arle began, turning her gaze up to the sky rather purposelessly. She didn't really know why. She guessed she always expected goddesses to be in the sky? ...She was still new to this whole gods and goddesses thing. Arle struck the ground with her staff, conjuring a minor circle of conjuration and condensing it into a ball. She had just cast diacute. Seeing as they were about to head into this temple and probably fight an enemy, she might as well prepare.

"Ready to move on your to command, my lady~"

The giant rock just stared back at Arle in complete silence. It was hard to tell if he was judging Arle or he was just the strong silent type. "So you're Arle?! I am the amazing and spectactular Captain Flare! It is a pleasure to work with a lady that is so into the will of good. Together justice will surely prevail. There will never be a force stronger than our-OW!" The hot headed one went on and on until Cragalanche hit his shoulder. He was clearly tired of hearing this guy rant nonstop.

"Well, your sense of direction is definitely good. To clear things up, the strong silent one is Cragalanche. He is the commanding officer of my forces. I would tell you to follow his orders, but I doubt he will give any. The annoying one is Captain Flare as you no doubt heard. Well, that is enough of the introductions. Cragalanche, give her the seed and move out!" Viridi's voice ordered.

Cragalanche walked over to Arle and held his fist above her. It would seem he was waiting for her to open her palms. If she obliged, he would drop a purple seed into her hands. The rocky giant then would turn around and head towards the stairs.

Arle moved to follow along at a humble speed. The golden egg she was hauling around had her hesitating to jump around so much. Seeing as she was probably going to be attacked, Arle made a point to re-adjust the egg carrier she was wearing on her belly onto her back. She'd probably feel sore about this later, but even Arle knew you didn't put an egg in harm's way like that. ...Even if the egg itself was extremely powerful. and could probably take more abuse than Arle could. It was made of golden unobtainium, for crying out loud! "Nice to meet you, Captain Flare." Arle remarked somewhat awkwardly. She opened her hands for Cragalanche's delivery and accepted the seed, promptly storing it in the pockets she didn't have. And by that, I mean, of course, her breastplate. It was probably safer under the magical armor anyway.

"I wonder what kind of people live in these ruins." Arle mused aloud, pondering the nature of the possibly infected presence within the temple as she neared the stairs. Arle stopped at the top, once again casting diacute to summon a second magical orb at her side. "It's probably really dark down there, too." Arle went on to muse. Who ever heard of lights in abandoned temples? Good thing she could provide her own light. Arle would proceed to head down the stairs, waiting to see whether she'd actually need that light or not.

Cragalanche lead the way into the temple while Captain Flare followed close behind Arle. The stairs leading into the temple oddly had the torches already lit. Apparently there were already someone here or these torches were lasting for ages. The surroundings were a bit dark outside the torch light but a square room opened itself up. This room had three exits branching off and a giant fire in the middle of the room. There were also strange markings with various banana shapes along the walls.

However, if one was unaware, they would not notice an odd plant on the ceiling. As a result, they would be very shocked at the plant suddenly shooting it's long tongue at Arle. If it hit it's mark, the plant would try to pull Arle up into it's waiting jaws.

Arle meandered along the steps, holding her staff close to her as she observed the fresh state of the torch. Magic was a finite resource, as far as she knew, so the likely reason for this was that someone, somewhere had been tending to the temple. Better keep her guard up and...

"Uwha..!"

...Not look at the roof, apparently. Arle's sense of stranger danger shot through the aforementioned roof as something's big gross tongue probably slapped her in the face. She promptly found herself being hauled into the air. The first thing Arle did was... scream, frankly. Arle emitted a nice, high pitch squeal, which to be fair would likely alert the others of her predicament. Arle thrashed as she was drawn upwards, in no way okay with where this was going.

Unfortunately her body was frail and she was incapable of fighting with her bare hands, for the most part. "No no no no..!" Arle murmured in quick succession before abruptly vanishing inside the plant. ...A shudder ran down her spine. Her immediate reaction was to want to burn this creepy monster with the intensity of a thousand suns, but her better judgement reminded her that she wasn't immune to fire and being in close contact with the monster probably made that an awful idea.

"Kyaaaa! I'm so not edible!"

The plant eagerly drew the unsuspecting wizard into it's maw and snapped shut. The plant immediately began chewing on it's meal as it ignored the screams of the wizard. It was of course a mindless creature that was just concerned with it's next meal... Unfortunately for Arle, she seemed to be it's next meal.

(Take 1d10+5 damage per turn trapped in the Chompasaurus's jaws. Every turn has a 20% chance to inflict poison. Roll 12 or higher in strength to break out.)

Cragalanche heard the screams and was a lot less careless as the plant as he watched Arle disappear into it's mouth. He made to stomp over to the plant before stomping was heard from the other room. Before the rock giant knew it, a buffalo came charging to intercept the rocky giant. Cragalanche stretched his arms out and prepared to take the full force of the animal.

Cragalanche swiftly grabbed hold of the buffalo's horns and slid back against the force of the buffalo. Cragalanche however was able to over power the animal as they skid to a stop. The Buffalo kept trying to run forward but he was no longer gaining ground on the boulder. Cragalanche then lifted the charger up steadily before tossing it at the plant's roots holding it to the ceiling.

The animal let out a loud moo in terror as it flew through the air. The plant was too busy chewing on Arle it was too slow to notice the buffalo flying right at it. The buffalo knocked both the carnivourous fauna and charging bovine to the ground. With the force the plant spit out Arle with her probably covered a bit in it's saliva.

The plant tried to shoot it's tongue to pull Arle back in but it came short as a meteor hit the plant's tongue. The man eating plant instinctively pulled the meteor into it's jaw. This was of course a mistake as the fauna felt a sudden burning sensation in it's mouth. "You okay, lady of justice? I hope the evil plant did not hurt you too bad," Captain Flare asked as the plant and bovine got back to their feet.

And Scream Arle did as she found herself being chewed up alive. What a terrible, terrible fate. Surely no one had ever suffered this before. Worse yet, it was really gross in here! Frankly, she was just freaking all sorts of balls in there, kicking and jamming her elbows into the wall of her prison in a desperate bid to escape. Unfortunately for her, she hadn't really been paying much attention during Rulue's lessons. Her physical fighting just wasn't up to par.

Arle fell from the plant's body with an undignified "Wah!", crashing against the ground bodily. She was a bit disorientated after being chewed, understandably. Luckily, she had only suffered in every way imaginable except the way that mattered the most--in raw damage. She seemed fine, if not traumatized, by her first experience being on the other end of the food chain.


"It... It ate me! And barfed me!" Arle replied to Captain Flare, her voice cracking several times in distress as she picked herself up, saliva dripping from her bite-mark-covered body. Her face was flushed a nice shade of red, a certain fury now in her eyes. Hopefully, nobody would notice the tears staining her cheeks. Her body trembled with fury and she turned upon the plant monster, conjuring a ball of fire in her hand.

"I am going TO BURN YOU UNTIL YOU STAIN THE FLOOR!!!"

Over the course of that sentence Arle had just gone from speaking normally to yelling at the top of her lungs in an uncontrolled fury. Arle thrust her hands out, shouting as one of her diacute balls joined with the fireball to exponentially increase it's size and potency. "F-FIRE!"

Meanwhile, Carbuncle promptly got caught up in Arle's rage and joined in on the fighting.


"Gu gu gu gu, gu GU!" the Yuru-Chara blurted out, wiggling about as it feigned an uproar before abruptly shooting off a laser at the buffaloaf.

Meanwhile, having sufficiently gotten her rage out of her system, Arle turned to the buffaloaf and--

"You want a taste of me too?! I'll make steak out of you! FIRE!"

...Okay maybe forget the part about her not being angry anymore. Arle tossed another, normal fireball at the buffaloaf.

The plant that had lost it's lunch was still caught up with eating a hot meteor. It was soon freaked out though as it's body was suddenly burned to a crisp with fire. The plant ran back and forth as it's body was consumed with flames. The running eventually stopped as it turned into a pile of ash that laid on the floor.

The Buffaloaf was knocked to it's senses by a laser to it's face. It got knocked back quite a bit and noticeably looked upset. It was not expecting Arle to suddenly catch it on fire though as the Buffaloaf was also hit with fire. The Bull kind of just ran back and forth in a panic. Cragalanche was fed up and hit the Buffalo in the head with it's stone fist.

This blow caused the Buffaloaf to faint as it turned into a trophy with a bright glow... It seemed this room was taken out pretty fast. Maybe this would not be that bad. "Okay, troops, the way to get deeper into the temple is simultaneously pressing three buttons. I will tell you when to press the buttons. They are located at the end of each path through those three corridors. This of course means you need to split up. Arle, you choose your way first... And are you okay after that?" Viridi asked.

There was a sign next to each exit to the room. The one on the left had a Mushroom, the one in the middle had a Pokeball and the one on the right had an egg... The Pokeball was an odd shape in a temple in DK's Jungle... Still, Arle gets dibs on a path.

"I am no one's meal."

Arle breathed heavily after exhausting her anger in that impressive display of arson and cruelty, any semblance of a good mood she'd had thoroughly ruined by her stay inside of that plant's gullet. She was still trembling gently when Viridi began talking, though not having an enemy to fight and hearing Viridi's voice seemed to help her calm herself down. Arle waited for Viridi to finish, taking that moment to mostly recompose herself after that outburst. It only took a few long seconds, but by the time Viridi was done talking Arle was ready to respond in a manner more akin to what Viridi was used to.


"Y-Yeah, I'm fine. Really grossed out, but I'll live." Arle said in response to Viridi's concern. She was, perhaps, exaggerating how she felt in an effort to impress the other. In all fairness, she was fine--physically. Emotionally not so much, but as far as the mission was concerned? Surely that was the last time anything would try and eat her, so surely she could keep her emotions under control and it wouldn't become an issue, right? ...Given that creeps had a tendency to stalk Arle and make very aggressive moves on her, would one really be surprised to learn that she wasn't a big fan of being touched, let alone manhandled, let alone masticated?? Frankly, it made her want to go apologize to Satan for yelling at him all the time. Even he had never been that cruel to her, and it kind of put things in perspective.

...Naaah. That was dumb. Arle brushed herself off, only trembling a little bit now as she moved to choose her door. "I'll take the door with the egg on it. Hear that, little buddy? It's you~!" Arle remarked, glancing back to the egg on her back. It was decidedly silent in spite of Arle's attempts to bond with it. As Arle moved to enter the room, she cast diacute again. Better safe than eaten again.

"That is good. I would of really been disappointed if you broke from some carnivorous plant. Speaking of the egg... What exactly is up with that egg you are carrying anyway?" Viridi asked as Arle chose a path to take. Captain Flare decided to take the ball one while Cragalanche took the Mushroom.

As Arle entered the Egg Room, there was one exit on the other side of the square room that was somewhat obscured by a large golden Yoshi Egg in the center. There was then quite a bit of noise coming from the other room that sounded like some weird sounds associated with Yoshis and a monkey. A Ukiki then came running through the other exit and right at Arle. The Monkey glanced behind himself before looking at Arle and seeming to get an idea. The monkey dashed at Arle and moved around her body in a quick fashion. If she did not react fast enough, she may notice the monkey has scampered away with her golden egg.

As the Ukiki scampered out of the way the a purple glowing Yoshi was quick behind it. The Yoshi seemed to be infected and was in the process of trying to catch that monkey. And due to the hi-jynx of that Ukiki, the target of Yoshi's tongue happened to be Arle... Better get out of the way fast.

Arle looked up to the ceiling again as she walked, an odd habit she had while someone was speaking in her head. "I found Mr. Egg here in a set of rafters while I was exploring. It looked like it was abandoned by its parents, all cold and alone up there... So I took it and decided to try and raise it myself!" Arle explained, beaming proudly at no one in particular. "Isn't it cute? I haven't thought up a name for it yet, though." Arle admitted, her cheeks turning a bit red as a thought occured to her. "...Do you wanna help me name it?" Arle would offer Viridi. Normally a child's parents named them, but Viridi and her weren't... Were they? The implication wasn't lost on Arle, and she wasn't entirely sure why she made the offer then, but a part of her felt compelled to make it. What was her heart telling her? That she wanted to raise a baby whatever together with Viridi? ...No, no. That couldn't be it. Clearly it was just... a friend thing! Right? Or at least, that's what Arle told herself.

Arle snapped to attention when an ukiki ran up to her. "Oh hey, it's Mr. Monkey, and he's--"

The ukiki would find it a tad difficult to steal Arle's egg, both because it was securely strapped to her body and because she was far from unaware of the egg at the time. Arle would swat away the monkey's prying hands. "...Trying to steal my egg! Get out of here, monkey! This isn't your egg!" Arle would finish, only to notice a Yoshi rushing her. It extended it's tongue and...

"Kyyaaa! Get your gross tongue away from me!" Arle blurted out as she all but vanished from the spot she'd been in, sprinting as far away from that Yoshi as she could and pressing herself against the wall where she found herself, as if trying to phase through it. She was once again breathing heavily and the trembling had come back, a nervous sweat breaking out across her face. If anyone had been watching her, they'd probably be able to tell she was flashing right back to that stupid plant that had eaten her not long ago. "Wh-Why does everything want to eat me? Do I smell like curry?" Arle questioned to no one in particular, sounding rather out of breath.

Arle plucked a ribbon from her hair and tossed it at the yoshi. It soared through the air and attempted to trip the Yoshi by striking it's legs before soaring back to Arle like a boomerang.

"My, that is surprisingly responsible of you. Are you sure this is Arle I am talking to?" Viridi teased. She did kind of pause though when Arle requested her to help name the egg. Did Arle even realize what it meant to ask such a thing of someone else? It's a kind of question a new mother would ask the father to do. Is that part of the reason Arle asked the question to begin with? She was not entirely sure she would want to influence her crush that far... Then again, it may be bringing her closer to the realization of her feelings?

While Viridi was thinking on whether or not to accept the request, the monkey failed to steal the golden egg. The monkey turned around and stomped up and down as steam came from it's head in aggravation at being denied. This angry expression turned to one of surprise however before it turned around and fled from the star bunny thing that was now chasing it. The monkey was swift but a laser from Carbuncle barely hit it right in the leg. The Monkey stumbled from the laser before turning around and jumping at Carbuncle. It looked like the monkey was about to try and kidnap the thing that was assaulting.

(Carbuncle must roll a 15 or higher to avoid being kidnapped. If kidnapped, Carbuncle must roll an 8 or higher to break free... It is used to kidnapping babies)

"Well, if you raise it, I guess it would technically be a member of my forces. I do have a tendency to name all the forces of my army so this would be no different," Viridi agreed.

The Yoshi stumbled a bit as it's tongue missed the girl. The Yoshi immediately realized this girl was not infected either now and decided to target her instead. The Yoshi was not expecting a ribbon to chucked at them like a boomerang though. The Yoshi side stepped it but was promptly bashed in the back of the head by the rebound. The purple infected dinosaur was still standing though as it maintained balanced. The Yoshi curled into a ball before being incapsulated by a purple spotted egg. The Purple Yoshi then rolled at Arle and attempted to mow her down.

The Yoshi then uncurled and stuck his tongue to try and get Arle into his mouth again.

To Arle's relief, Viridi agreed to name their child--I mean... their new soldier. Further to relief, she wasn't licked yet. Good day so far. Good day. "Hey, what do you mean by that? I'm totally responsible~!" Arle protested, all the while watching that yoshi like a hawk. "I got a perfect score on my kindergarten magic test, you know!" Arle would go on to state with an amount of pride that sounded somehow inappropriate coming from a sentence that contained the word 'kindergarten'. One was left to wonder whether Arle had nothing better to lay claim to or if her kindergarten was just that hardcore.

Meanwhile, Carbuncle deftly dodged the Ukiki's attempts at snatching him. The little yuru-chara was alarmingly fast when he wanted to be. Sometimes Arle had to wonder if it was because of his diet of 'whatever he can fit in his mouth'.

Carbuncle struck a pose and pointed at the ukiki, mimicking Arle's body language before launching a blast of magic at him from his forehead. He blurted out a quick "Gu gu!" as the laser shot off at the monkey. Nearby Arle's eyes widened as the Yoshi suddenly ... became an egg?! "...What." Arle blurted out in confusion. Had that yoshi just unaged? What was--Oh dear it was coming right for her.

"Wooaaaooow!" Arle stammered out as the egg managed to knock her about, stumbling but keeping her balance as she was struck. "What is this thing??" Arle questioned, probably half-directed at Viridi. She understood nothing about its nature and had no idea what to expect from it. Was she supposed to fry it and make some breakfast..?

Before Arle could answer that question, the yoshi emerged from its shell and attempted to lick her. She was so frightened by the sight of that tongue that she quite literally jumped in her shoes, which unfortunately had the side effect of ruining her traction and causing her to completely fail that dodge. "Uuugh... Nooo..." Arle groan-whined rather pathetically as she dug her heels in and began to thrash in an effort to free herself from its grasp. It didn't even occur to her that Yoshi could swallow her whole; she just didn't care for being slobbered all over! Therefore, it must have come to a surprise to her as she was abruptly yanked headfirst into the yoshi's mouth, vanishing inside of it. Once again Arle found herself in a very uncomfortable place. It took her a moment to realize what exactly had happened, after which she shuddered and promptly squealed like a little girl. Sadly, no one but Carbuncle was near enough to hear her screams this time. The yuru-chara turned his head in confusion, but the chances of his tiny brain figuring this situation out on his own were rather bleak.

Viridi was not entirely sure why Arle was so proud of passing a Kindergarten Test. Those things are usually passing by paritcipation it feels like... Or maybe her magic Kindergarten was unique in some form. She did not really have the ability to figure that out right now. "That would be a Yoshi. They are kind of renown for their weird egg powers," Viridi answered Arle's question.

The Yoshi meanwhile was happy to have Arle in his widened cheeks... Well, as happy as an infected can possibly be. Surely they still have some compacity for emotion. Regardless of whether or not an infected can feel the joy of food, the Yoshi chewed on Arle a bit. However, unlike the plant, this was immediately followed by swallowing her whole.

The following process was not one very many living people knew. Not even Viridi fully understood the process Yoshis used to make eggs. Arle might be one of those few that knew how it felt right about now as the Yoshi popped out a blue spotted egg containing Arle. "Oh yeah, they also can turn things into eggs by swallowing them," Viridi explained a little late.

(Roll a 18 or higher to break out of the Yoshi Egg. This roll will get easier with time. Critting will also result in breaking out.)

The monkey stumbled as the surprisingly agile thing moved out of the way. It stumbled so much it was caught off guard by the bunny eared thing shooting it from behind. The monkey clenched it's tail and hopped a bit into the air from the laser. "Ukikiki!" The monkey shouted before pulling out a spiky fruit and throwing it at Carbuncle.
