"I bet you there's some booty hiding in that building." Ashe mused aloud from her vantage point. She was still a nice, respectful distance from the infected to avoid drawing their attention. Once could just see the swarms of olde reploids rushing the building. Some of them didn't appear to be entirely intact. "I thought I was your booty!" Model A replied light-heartedly. Ashe snickered. "Of course you are, and I'm never going to give you up." Ashe replied, equally light-hearted. "But we're going to need even bigger booty if we want to save the world." Ashe went on to explain, eyeing the building with great enthusiasm. "How big are we talking?" Model A asked incredulously. "Bigger than you, bigger than me~! Maybe even bigger than this building!" Ashe replied, her eyes filled with dreams of grandeur. Model A considered Ashe's words for a moment, giving Ashe a knowing look.

"...I think you're proof that size doesn't matter~" Model A remarked cheekily. Ashe just sort of hesitated a moment, her eyes narrowing suspiciously. That didn't make sense at all! Unless Model A was... "...Was that a short joke?" Ashe asked in diselief. If Model A could manage a facial expression, it probably would've been one of glee. "It didn't fly over your head, did it?" he teased. "Thanks, I think~!" Ashe relented after a moment. Hopefully the others would arrive soon to put an end to this 'small' talk. The infected still awaited, the sound of a distant crash ringing out. Was there already fighting going on in there?

Chell looked down at the vast horde of infected safely from atop a building. She got up here by making a portal on a billboard and just walking through and proceeding to jump across the rooftops. Her turret following her and her Companion Cube on hand as usual. The ton of infected reminded her of the head crab aliens that apparently took control over at Black Mesa due to alien invasions or something. She was not entirely sure on the details since a majority of the time that was happening she was trapped in the labs of Aperature Science.

Actually, that is why she went back to the labs. She was trying to figure some way out of surviving those hordes. Aperature Science seemed too far away for them to reach or something. There she found the portal that led here along with supplies she assumes were to try and test out this place. She was not sure why they would with such a dangerous contamination around though.

Then she noticed a different looking person that seemed to be talking to some weird floating thing. It kind of reminded her of a core if she had to make some kind of comparison to her world. She did not seem infected like the rest so she decided to use her to survive this horde. Any help she could get would be super useful after all. She aimed the Portal Gun at the ground near Ashe's Vantage Point before firing an orange energy that would create a flat orange color on the ground. Chell then aimed downwards and jumped before shooting a blue ball of energy that created a linked portal. This would show Chell from below on the orange portal before she fell through the blue one and jumped out of the orange one by Ashe. She was soon followed by a turret heading through the portal and faceplanting.

"Help! The ground is clouding my optics!" The Turret complained to which Chell shook her head. She picked up the turret and sat it on it's feet before looking to Chell. Chell raised her hand not holding the Portal Gun to show she meant no harm. Other than this she just looked at Ashe in silence.

[Dragon Knight Volga]

Volga flew over the horde of fighting infected, courtesy of the wings sprouting out of his back. Thankfully, the infected paid him no attention as they were too busy fighting amongst themselves. The Dragon Knight couldn't wait to get into battle, though. However, Volga had to resist the urge and meet with the others who were joining him on this mission. He quickly found them a short distance from the horde.

The Dragon Knight kept his distance from the infected as he swooped down towards the girls. One of them had white hair and a strange creature floating next to her, while the other had dark hair and an odd little robot following her. Volga had a feeling their companions compensated for their lack of armour. He himself was clad in his usual armour with his Dragon Spear at the ready. The fiery warrior landed near the girls, his wings disappearing as he did so.

Ashe snapped to attention when Chell and Volga arrived. She couldn't help but muse to herself that that turret had some very odd, amusing mannerisms. "Oh hey! You guys must be here for the booty too, right?" Ashe asked with an entirely straight face. "My name's Ashe, and that there? That's a lot of infected." Ashe went on to explain, gesturing to the swarming crowd around the base of the building. They seemed to be attempting to make their way inside, pushing and shoving in the effort to fit through the limited amount of entrances. "First thing we've gotta do is get inside. If we fight them out here in the open there won't be anything stopping them from surrounding us and attacking all at once." continued explaining.

"Megamerge!" Ashe called out as she shifted to grasp Model A. The two fused in epic fashion, her body now covered in reploid-esque armor.

"...So here's the plan. I'm going to make a beeline for the first floor, laser shots blazing, and get their attention. I want you guys to cover me and take out as many of them as you can while they're distracted. If we're lucky, we'll put a big dent in their numbers before they can do much damage. After we're in there, focus on clearing out the room so we can funnel them through the doors." Ashe finished, twirling her laser shots demonstrably in the air. "I thought I heard an explosion earlier, so we might not be alone in there. That means we can't afford to wait any longer!" the megamanwoman announced, turning on her heels.

There was a time and place for everything, and this was the time and the place for everything.

Ashe dashed forward, the triggers on her busters held down as she closed the distance between herself and the horde. She made herself known when she raised her arms to discharge two torrents of plasma into the crowds.

...Ashe's reflect shots ripped through the crowd of infected, the powerful blasts simply vaporizing the unfortunate souls in their paths. Little pops and explosions rang out as infected dropped like flies, their once intimidating crowd nearly half gone in moments. Debris flew everywhere, but not a single scratch was left upon the reckless heroine as she sowed a path of destruction into the building. What remained of the crowd was quick to converge on the immediate threat, chasing Ashe into the building. For her efforts, the others would have no trouble from the infected... for now. The plan had been a critical success, and the remaining infected were oblivious to the threats now at their flank.

Chell looked to her side as some man in dragon like armor appeared. It was a weird getup but it's not like the person in Aperature Science Test Subject Uniform can complain. Chell nodded to the girl's plan, it sounded like a good one to take. Chell looked to the zombie hoard and came up with a plan to take them out and get to the building at the same time.

As the infected were paying attention to Ashe entering the building, Chell put her hand up as a sign to tell dragon man to hang on. She took out a jar containing some orange gel and walked to the back of the hoarde. She threw down the jar to contain a orange line of the gelatinous substance. Chell then grabbed the Companion Cube and pointed at the hoarde. On command the turret took aim at the hoard. On command the turret's laser targetting took aim at them all. Chell then gave a thumbs up to Volga that she was ready. Chell shot the companion cube down the orange path of Propulsion Gel as the momentum of the gel took over as the Companion Cube landed to send it crashing through the hoard without stopping.

Chell then chased after the Companion Cube and jumped on it and rid it through the hoard. She took the Portal Gun and shot any enemies that got too close to her and her companion cube.

The Turret followed after Chell and spun in circles as it's targetting lasers spun all around. The turret opened fire of it's missles to eliminate infected all around. "Heya Bob, it's Turret from down the hall. It's nice to see ya buddy, how ya been? Things have been all right for me except I am killing you now," The turret sang joyously as missles flew everywhere.

Chell waited until she saw the right oppratunity and then fired a orange shot to create a portal inside the target building on the wall. Chell then shot aimed downwards and shot a blue Portal to which her, the Companion Cube and Turret quickly fell in at the end of the Propulsion Gel line. She then shot a blue Portal as soon as the turret came through at the wall to make sure no infected followed through the portal. The turret landed on it's back as Chell landed perfectly. "HELP! ALL I WANT TO DO IS BLOW UP THEIR CIRCUITS! OPEN UP YOUR HEART AND LET IT BE BLASTED! IS THIS REALLY YOUR PLAN, BOB? TO BOMBARD A BUILDING INSTEAD OF DYING?" The Turret continued in a more panicked state until Chell picked it up and sat it down to which it turned to look at the mindless hoard.

Volga neither knew nor cared what a booty was. The only thing he was there for was the fighting. Ashe's goal did not concern the Dragon Knight. Volga was only interested in the fight as Ashe ploughed through the horde of infected. He was itching to get in the fray but the woman with the robot buddy had other ideas. She told him to wait and the hot-tempered warrior could feel the rage building up inside him. However, Volga didn't have to wait long as the woman rode her cube thing into the horde. Not wasting any time, he let out his pent-up rage by breathing a jet of searing hot fire at the infected closest to him.

The remaining infected were slain quickly and efficiently by the group's teamwork. There ought to have been an achievement for this level of coordinated takedown, but alas the only thing waiting for the group was an easy victory. ...Or so it would seem. A the group finally entered the building it would become very apparent what had likely been making the noises Ashe had heard earlier. An enormous, hulking figure towered over the others in the room, dominating the room with his mere presence. It was a sort of humongous bipedal crocodile robot with a heavily armored mouth lined with sharp icicle teeth. A pair of red eyes glowered down at Ashe, focusing on her almost immediately.


"Mega Man Model A..." the pseudroid's deep voice growled out, the floor trembling gently with his words. Ashe tensed, her eyes widening. "Bifrost..? What are you doing here? Are you... infected..?" she asked in disbelief. The enormous psuedroid got closer, a breath of thick frost blasting past Ashe as he spoke. "I am loyal the king, as I always was. Right now, I think he would want me to crush every last one of your pitiful bones." Bifrost replied in an appropriately cold tone.

As terrifying as having a several thousand pound sentient fortress threaten you was, Ashe did not back down. Shaking her head to free some frost from her hair, Ashe stared Bifrost down. "...I defeated Master Albert. He's gone. There is no king anymore." Ashe replied firmly.

"...Born in the shadow of the king, you can never make a world of light." Bifrost remarked as if quoting something. Ashe did not seem thrilled by the reference. "If what you say is true, then there is no king because there is a QUEEN! ...And her name is Ashe." Bifrost remarked dismissively. Ashe recoiled in disgust. Well, that had backfired spectacularly. "N-No, I..." Ashe stammered, just sort of tripping over her words. It seemed like she didn't care much for the title.

The building had gone quiet, but the sound of distant footsteps could be heard. Another wave of infected was approaching. There were currently three entrances to the building and most of the furniture was in pieces. There seemed to be little way of sealing the entrances unless one were to somehow force the doors to lock.

Chell looked to the giant thing in the room as she wondered how she did not notice it in the portal. The ice robot croc was gigantic and kind of intimidating. Chell refused to show any sign of it though as she remained silent while the two talked. Chell looked over to the entrances and decided to take care of that while the two were distracted.

Chell walked over to the entrances and looked up. They seemed to be automatic in nature like the doors from the labs except vertical. She just had to figure out how to seal them up so the infected do not pay a visit.

Chell instantly figured something out as she went back and grabbed the Companion Cube. She shot it up and at the hanging door which dislodged it and caused it to fall onto the Companion Cube. Chell then took the cube out from under it so the door could fall the rest of the way. Chell then looked over to the other two entrances.

Chell carried the Companion Cube over to another door and stepped up onto it. She fiddled around with the mechanisms until it fell shut and she withdrawed her hands. Okay, one more.

Chell began walking to the final one before suddenly stopping her master jamming skills as she heard the croc reply. Looks like the situation was about to turn hostile in a few seconds. In this moment her mind was detached from the final door and she was just watching the two. This could end badly if a fight broke out before they can even seal the final door.

[Dragon Knight Volga]

Volga hung back with Chell at first when the huge crocodile robot seemed to be entirely focused on Ashe. However, things soon became rather hostile. As he was unable to fiddle with the weird locks on the doors, the Dragon Knight moved over to Ashe. Volga was far more adept when it came to battle. He held his Dragon Spear at the ready as he kept his eyes on the robotic monstrosity.

Even though the average being, mechanical or no, wouldn't have been able to detect the sounds of combat coming from a distance, one entity hanging around the area would keenly be able to hear the sounds of combat.  After all, it was a sound that he had been craving for quite the long time.  The result of the little scuffle that had happened so far would be another entity dashing towards the sounds of combat, neither particularly friend or foe.  Given that he knew approximately no one down there, it would only be a matter of time to see who struck him.  Those were the ones he'd declare as an enemy.  Or perhaps his blood lust would get a grip of him and have him strike at everyone present.  It wasn't uncommon.

Omega darted at full speed towards the building in which combat was happening, running calculations through his mind to find where the most people were.  The most prominent group were the ones outside, trying to get into the building.  As such, Omega would begin to salivate as he pressed the button on the side of his Saber, generating a purple laser blade, and would yell out a line in Japanese - The only language he still had onboard after Weil had finished with him.  "Ware wa meshia nari!" - I am the Messiah - before letting out a bloodcurling laugh and diving straight into the enemy hoard, Saber-first, in an attempt to get to the door.  To the trained eye, Omega would seem to be glowing, gather blue energy into himself and his Buster, strapped to his side.

Omega would open his barrage of strikes with a swift uppercut with the Saber, from the middle of the damage Reploid to the head, aiming to cleave the poor soul completely in half.

Regardless of whether or not he was successful at obliterating his first opponent, Omega would instantly dart to the next the moment he landed.  This time, instead of a single strike, he would duck the side of the Reploid and attempt to force his Saber through its midsection, and would continue on with the same strike in an attempt to claim another Reploid's life with the same strike.

To finish, Omega would make a final stride for the door.  Assuming there was still one left in his way, Omega would draw his arm back and merely punch them out of the way, not willing to bother with using the Saber anymore just to mix it up a bit.  It's intention, as opposed to killing, was only to force something out of the way and to provide access.

Finally at the door, Omega would slow his sprint to a much more calm-appearing stroll as he entered, seemingly dismissive of most of the entities still in the room.  ...Some girl in armor... The setup here isn't particularly impressive. Omega decided, giving a pouting 'huff.'  That said, he would finally lock his eyes on Bifrost, and a grin would grow on his lips.  There.  That's the kind of thing I'm looking for. Omega decided, and, clutching the Saber in his right hand, made his was towards Bifrost, letting out a maniacal giggle as he approached.  Even if it wasn't outright terrifying, it would certainly be unnerving to most people.

Two of the three doors were sealed by Chell. The blast doors would grind shut with her tampering, sealing shut with a satisfying click. It was unlikely anything would be getting through those anytime soon. By sealing all but one door, the group had created a choke point through which the zombies had to funnel themselves through. Hitting them with attacks and avoiding being hit would certainly be much easier with this strategic setup.

"The minnow grows larger, but it can never escape the pond..." Bifrost growled, once again seeming to reference something.

"Haven't we been down this road before? When are you going to learn that all this fighting doesn't get you anywhere but the scrap heap?" Ashe retorted impatiently.

Bifrost glanced at Omega, the multi-thousand pound crocoroid unused to being unnerved by anything. Decidedly fed up with talking, Bifrost crouched slightly before abruptly lunging into the air at Ashe!

Ashe attempted to lunge out of the way of the massive pseudroid projectile coming right at her, but Bifrost was simply too big and she was violently smashed against the ground. "You are a weak queen, without vision!" Bifrost roared out savagely as he attempted to crush Ashe underfoot. The sheer force of Bifrost landing rocked the very foundation of the building, causing a shockwave that threatened to blow everyone off their feet if they weren't careful.

Ashe began to panic as she found herself trapped underneath a lethal amount of weight. There was simply no way the young girl could possibly lift that much weight off of her, so she did the next best thing. Twisting her body as much as her current position allowed, she attempted to shoot Bifrost's foot using the barrels on the back of her ring-shaped laser shots.

Unfortunately, Ashe was unable to twist her body enough to pull off the shot, her reflect shot firing off harmlessly past Bifrost. The fact that Ashe was now coming to realize she was helpless did nothing to ease her panic. "G-Get him off!" she pleaded with no one in particular.

Meanwhile, the infected horde managed to enter the building. Omega had taken out a substantial number of them, but the possessed reploids did not fear destruction and promptly attempted to rush the combatants regardless.

Chell watched as suddenly someone else entered the scene. He seemed kind of insane... even more than her Turret... Chell ignored that though as she looked back and saw the giant land on the girl. To make matters worst, a shockwave was heading for her and her turret.

Chell expertly did a side flip over the shock wave and landed on the other side. The turret was nowhere near as mobile and was blasted until it was lying down on the ground. The Turret then went into sleep mode as it exerted it's power. Chell looked to the crushed Ashe and thought to herself. Chell picked up the Companion Cube and aimed it at the Icy Croc.

Although the toss looked like it was not strong enough, knocking him off was not what she was going for. Using any opportunity opened up by her cube, Chell aimed her Portal Gun at Ashe. She then fired the gun at the ground under Ashe with a blue shot before shooting an orange one next to herself. The croc was way too big to fit into the portal but Ashe should be able to fall through and land next to Chell out of the other portal.

The portal using woman then looked to the door she left open as infected started to march through and attack.

Chell was able to nimbly evade the fury of the infected with nimble backsteps. She tripped up a few times but managed to  keep her footing. Chell then threw down a bottle of blue gel which cracked open to coat part of the floor in Repulsion Gel. She then ran forward to bounce off the gel and kick the infected into other infected in the air.

Volga glanced around as some insane warrior rushed into the building. However, he didn't pay much attention to the cackling fellow as the huge robot croc made a massive shockwave. The Dragon Knight attempted to use his wings to propel himself into the air out of harm's way.

Thankfully, Volga timed his jump correctly and he dodged the shockwave before landing back on the ground. However, a complication appeared in the form of a second horde of infected. He made a sideways dash in an attempt to dodge the infected that rushed him.

The fiery warrior deftly dodged the infected horde's attack. Volga then charged at them with his Dragon Spear at the ready.

Omega's eyes would widen as Bifrost leapt away from him, growling at the girl in armor about some matter of a 'weak queen,' a topic Omega would agree with, given how easily she was trounced on, but it did spark another feeling inside of Omega - rage.  Omega's giggling would stop as Bifrost turned his attention away from Omega.  It would be replaced with a snarl and a much tighter grip on the O-Saber, before Omega would jerk his head around to face Bifrost, face contorted in rage.  This, in turn, would allow Omega to see coming a shockwave from the massive Pseudroid crashing down on the poor girl.  Omega would quickly attempt to leap over the incoming attack.

The energy particles entering Omega would shift from blue to orange, indicating that his charge shot was ready.  Omega would grab it from his waist, and begin to open fire on Bifrost in an attempt to get his attention.  Out of the small buster would come two giant fireball-esque shots, roughly half the size of Omega, barreling towards Bifrost.

After the two shots, Omega would dart towards Bifrost at high speeds and, once in range, would use all of the force he could to jump into Bifrost, in an attempt to both get his massive amount of weight off of Ashe and to knock him backwards.  "What the hell are you doing?!  I am your opponent!  I will not be ignored!" Omega would yell out at the much larger Pseudroid, his voice a cold monotone, and almost scratchy, like it wasn't used to be used.

Omega would give a grin of satisfaction as the force collided with the massive Pseudroid with just enough force to make him get off of his earlier target.  There.  THAT should get his attention. Omega decided.  He flipped his blade around to hold it backhanded and intended to charge towards Bifrost for another strike, but another noise got his attention.  The hordes had broken in, and apparently intended to try and make their own amount of chaos.  Omega would let out a discontent sigh.  How troublesome. He decided, before turned his attention back to the hordes - In time to see an attack coming towards him.  Omega would promptly roll out of the way.

While it would be really close, Omega would fortunately manage to roll out the way of the incoming attack.  Skidding to a stop and still holding his saber backhanded, Omega would dart towards the Reploid that had attacked him and, ducking to the side of it, would aim to cut it open as he darted past.

Chell's companion cube slammed into Bifrost, but was unable to move the multi-thousand-pound pseudoroid. It did seem to rock his body, however. Ashe struggled rather pathetically as she attempted to avoid her fate as a Mega Man pancake, only to have the floor abruptly drop out from underneath her as a portal was opened. Unfortunately for Bifrost, his strength was simply no match for a bit of ingenuity. Ashe came sprawling out of the other portal next to Chell. The teenager collapsed at Chell's heels, scrambling to pick herself up after her rather unexpected rescue.

"You..." she began, giving Chell a bewildered look. One might surmise that the child had no concept of what had just happened. Ashe's gaze snapped back to the portal from which she had escaped through. "You saved me." Ashe blurted out in surprise, turning her laser shot on the portal and promptly discharging a reflect shot into it. It was now Bifrost's turn to be bewildered as he felt a charge shot rip into his foot from below. The bemused crocoroid shifted to try and find what had attacked him, only to discover a portal underfoot.

Meanwhile, the infected were being blown apart in large numbers. Infected continued to surge into the building, however, their numbers seemed to be rapidly thinning out.

Ashe began opening fire on both the infected and Bifrost, restricting their movement by layering the air with plasma bullets. Infected ran right into the shots, but others still tried to find openings to get at the group.

Meanwhile, Bifrost was struck several times by Omega. The enormous robot staggered as he was shot multiple times and struck with great force, his body smoking from all the attacks he had taken. Yet... In spite of how hard he had been hit, Bifrost seemed far from out of the game. The crocoroid turned upon Omega, swinging his massive tail like a weapon at the messiah. When your tail weighed a thousand pound, it could easily slap someone into next week.

"Obliged." Bifrost growled out, successfully provoked by Omega's impressive display of power. As Bifrost spun around, he promptly stomped forward in an attempt to chase Omega.
