The way up the mountain was a perilous journey already, what, with it's rocky terrain, jutting crevices, sudden steep falls and long cliffs lacking any footholds, whatsoever. Without any other thing blocking an aspiring climber's way, the way up this mountain was already daunting.

But, this wasn't your normal mountain. It was the Icicle Peak, a mountain renowned for its below freezing temperatures, so cold, that the very air that permeates around the mountain is visible with a frigid, cool aura. Snow packs are piled on top of each other, in some places perilously slick and thin, and in other places impossibly thick and heavy. One wrong move, and you could be sliding down in the snow, which could give you a beautiful view of the ground and the side of the mountain as you fall to your doom. Where the snow had sat long enough to melt, the frigid cold air turned that into slick ice, giving the mountain yet another natural stay-away feature: If you weren't being hindered by snow, you were falling about and slipping up, which, once again, left the chance for you to fall off.

If that weren't enough to keep you away, the mountain had a raging blizzard going on towards the top. If that's where your journey was, you'd be hard pressed to get there unscathed. The temperature at the top is far below zero, and the cold air up there has been said to have the tendency to freeze the unwary, instantly. And it wasn't just cold air, either; it's extremely fast, heavy cold air, with the strength to pick small people up and throw them around. Flying was not an ideal way to get here, if for no other reason than it'd be super difficult to move around. And dangerous, too.

And, then, finally, the reason you're being called to go up the mountain. Every few minutes or so, the top of the mountain trembles about, like the tip of a needle wiggling about; breaking up ice, causing cracks to appear down its structure and ruffling up the snow. The result? Well, an avalanche, mixed with a large-scale hail storm and a landslide. The villages around the mountain are in disarray, and, if you don't stop it, who will?

The sun itself was not your friend. Not today. That shining ball of light would mean nothing to you once you got into the frigid aura of cold that the mountain permeated; the dark clouds that floated around the mountain almost completely blocked its light, and the cold around you gave no hold to the normal, heat-giving radiance of the sun. Staring up the mountain side, it'd make sense if you just decided to turn around. But, then, you'd be a coward, and you wouldn't get your reward. What kind of hero would you be, then?

A mountain trembling... How amusing that these people honestly think this is an issue. They should at least have let me know if I'd meet any kind of challenge here, before I waste my time.

Omega scoffed at the mountain, currently standing at its base. All things considered, Omega wasn't quite sure why he had taken this mission in particular over all of the others. He supposed all of the others either bored him or had opponents too weak for him to do anything but mock the mission giver, and this was the only one that looked like it would serve any fun. Climbing up a frigid mountain with monsters scattered throughout it and the constant threat of death, doom, demise and misery should he make one misstep... How bone-chillingly fun.

Not that Omega had bones to chill, mind you. Being a robot, while he was definitely aware of how cold it was around him, beyond some slippery footing and terrain, the cold weather didn't have too much of an immediate impact upon him. He knew quite well that sticking around here for a really long time would eventually freeze him, however, and that was a fate he was looking to avoid.

Omega would have been perfectly content to begin scaling the mountain as is, but he was forced to wait upon some other guy who was supposed to lend him a hand with this mission. He wasn't aware of who this person was, but Omega desperately hoped that this guy wouldn't be a complete nuisance or hold him back. If the guy ever needed Omega's help, unless he prove himself a formidable enough ally, Omega would more than probably just leave him for dead. Omega surmised he didn't need any help with this mission, but having someone else around to watch slip up could prove a source of amusement.

Tingle approached the mountain on foot. True, he could've gotten there by balloon, but this was actually a bit faster. It wouldn't be very hard to scale it though seeing as how he could fly. Then a familiar figure came into view. "Oy, Zero!" Tingle greeted. ...Yes, this would be interesting. Of course he didn't know Zero had a doppelganger named Omega. Let's watch what happens, shall we?

Omega would finally take notice of the small green guy approaching him. Oh, holy hell, am I going to have to team up with this thing? Despicable. Omega internally sneered at the guy, before he started yelling at Omega. This wasn't quite a problem, mind you, but it's what he did right after that would catch his attention. "Oy, Zero!
"Oy, Zero!"
"Zero!"

Omega would suddenly tense and turn his head fully towards Tingle, glaring at him with a look of pure disbelief and anger.  He would would remain like this for a few seconds: completely rigid, hands clenched into fists, and staring at him with wide eyes and a gaping jaw.  Omega would eventually begin trying to stutter something out.  "Z-Z... Ze... Zer... Zero...?" He eventually forced out, just barely above a whisper.  He would gradually begin shifting his entire towards Tingle.  "Z... Zero... Is... Here?"  He forced out, now completely facing Tingle.

"Z-Z-Z-ZERO!"  Omega would eventually scream at Tingle.

It would be completely sudden: As opposed to to his slow, shocked movements of earlier, he would suddenly begin moving at speeds even above what Omega was aware he could pull off as he rushed towards Tingle, drawing back his arm for a moment, before, as he came upon Tingle, he would bring his hand forward in an attempt to bring it around Tingle's neck.  To add insult to injury, Omega would try to lift Tingle into the air for a short moment before stepping forward and forcing Tingle back to the ground, trying to make him land on his back.

"Where is he?!  Where is Zero?!" Omega would scream, using the hand that he was currently not using in his attempts to strangle Tingle to bring the O-Buster from his side, and aim it at Tingle's face.  It would begin to glow and seemingly absorb energy from around it as Omega charged it up.  "Where is that damn fake?!" He barked, perfectly content with taking Tingle out should he not answer his question.  Or, maybe even if he did.

Tingle stopped to question why Zero was acting so strangely. He soon found himself being choked and slammed to the ground, the latter of which he was used to already. Why was he-Oh wait, apparently this was Zero's twin or something. "H-he's in.. Life Sphere..." Tingle choked out. He clearly didn't appreciate being choked and slammed around. What he was trying to figure out was who the evil twin was. Of course he could blow up Zero out of spite, but then they wouldn't get anywhere.

The mountain that they wrestled at the base of loomed over them, as a sort of steady reminder that it was there mission to get to the top. The shadow that it cast was long and wide, and, already, they could begin to feel the immense cold that the mountain emanated. At their feet, where the ground was already covered in a thick layer of snow, they began to feel the cold sink in. For the mechanical, it would take days or even weeks for the cold to truly bother - the most he had to worry about were a few tiny ice crystals, which began to form around his elbows and other parts of his body, as the moisture in the air around him froze and clung to him. For the living, he would feel the cold already - accentuated by the fact that he was now on the ground, struggling for air. The sharp cold would race through with, without any heed or care to his need for survival. Each, already labored breath would feel like he were inhaling ash - if ash were extremely cold, and stung your lungs with an icy chill.

The squabble at its base seemed to bother the mountain. They had a mission to do, and they weren't getting to it. As though reality itself were against their act of neglect and violence, it showed an act of violence itself; a large tremor ripped through the top of the mountain. By the time it got to them, it felt like a tiny wave moving through the earth underneath them, muffled even more by the snow. Still, the affect it had on them and the affect it had on the mountain would soon be one and the same - down the steep, pointed and rocky face of the mountain came the amalgams of natural disasters that it had become known for: A mixture between a landslide, an avalanche and a hail storm. The chunks of ice that fell down the mountain were almost bigger than their heads; the rocks were even bigger. Carrying it all down like an icy chauffeur were the large, raging waves of compact snow.

Perhaps the most horrifying thing coming down the mountain, though, wasn't the amalgam. Instead, it was the amalgam's heralds - a wave of strange, crystalline ice figures floated just above the raging wave, flying down with it. The creatures were hexagons in original shape, with darker shades of ice surrounding their outer forms to make them seem almost like octagons. Their design was reminiscent of a snow flake, with breaks in the hexagon to reveal glowing, blue eyes and a strange mouth. Out of these mouths trailed small beads, much like snowballs.

There were five in total. The little things cared not for the fact that their prey were fighting amongst themselves; all the better. It'd be easier to take them out, this way. The two had no time to prepare, and no time to make up from their squabble - the storm was upon them.

And it was cold.

A small click would come from the O-Buster as it reached its first level of charge. Letting out a sadistic grin, Omega took the O-Buster is pointed it into Tingle's eye... This guy must be having quite a bad day. Running into me and knowing Zero... That's a fatal mistake. Omega's finger gestured towards the trigger, when, suddenly, tremors sounded out from all around him. Omega would give a look of confusion and unhand Tingle to glance at the top of the mountain from which the tremors came. That's right. He was here to check those out, wasn't he? Although, I suppose this could be considered... Re-purposing. This could serve as a warm-up before I paint from the Life Sphere to Neo Arcadia in Zero's parts. He internally mused, before he would finally take notice of everything falling down around the mountain.

All things considered, it was quite a spectacle. Everything from above him was falling towards the duo with rather startling speeds. Wait... That's bad. Really bad. Omega would suddenly realize, as he quickly darted in the direction of the jagged mountain. As it would the snow would rapidly approach him, Omega would leap a small ways up the mountain as quickly as he could, in an attempt to escape from the snow, rocks, and death under the sanctity of one of the many jagged ends of the mountain.

Assuming he was successful in making it, Omega would take shelter there for just a few moments so that the incoming snow could eventually pass him by.  The thought of the other guy did eventually cross his mind, but... Meh.  If he can make it, good for him.  He might just be worth something. Was his only thought on the matter.  While Omega waited for this thing to pass, however, he did take notice of another threat in the area: Some hexagon things made of ice.  Omega would make a face of disgust.  Well, isn't this some pristine timing. He scoffed.  He'd deal with them once the incoming snow was gone.

No sooner than NotZero let go of Tingle, the so called fairy used his balloon to send himself rocketing into the air, flying erratically and straight at the incoming enemies as well.

He would've just used his Balloon to float in the air as the avalanche came, but the hail made that impossible as it would pop his balloon. He was soon sent into a small cave.

He skid across the icy cold floor. He quickly picked himself up, and shivered before making his way back to the entrance, peering out at the incoming snowflake-like enemies.

Soon after Omega steals away beneath a rock and Tingle floats into a cave just beside Omega's rock, the avalanche and other natural disasters pass and stream out into the vacant village, below. The mountain goes back to a relatively calm state, as the tremors stop.

The climber's only remaining problem would be the five Cryogonals which remained, floating down to glare, first, at the green dot they saw floating into the cave. The five creatures lined up in a semi-circle, just outside the mouth of the cave, glaring down at the green man with their demonic blue gaze. They didn't necessarily just sit there, though; they fidgeted around in anticipation, a few of them shaking about. One of them was a little slow on the get-go, and was only just falling into place.

They had yet to notice Omega, who was just a few feet under them, hiding underneath a rock. The suspense in the air signaled a battle, because these things were angry.
