[Mr. Game & Watch]

The corridors of the Sunshine Stadium were just as he remembered them. Mr. Game & Watch waddled through them while muttering to himself in the form of strange beeping noises. Not that he used any other form of communication. He remembered the last time he wandered through these halls, a tie was the outcome. Ever since then the two dimensional being had sworn off from the fighting arena in his outrage. Such a cheap tactic, but at least he succeed in his goal of receiving a gold statue because of it despite the fact that some purple wearing beanpole blew it down. He wished the felon had entered the tournament for the sake of smacking him about legally. Though he could probably do that freely, it wasn’t like anyone was going to take Waluigi’s side.

Mr. Game & Watch continued his casual stroll until his face revealed itself from the shadows and freely out in the open of the arena as a roar erupted from crowd. This was to be expected, after all he was the hero of the Life Sphere, and no one had yet contested his title. The figure began to wave and smile to appease his adoring fan base, pointing to a select few of audience members, they exploded with joy at his acknowledgement, but to G&W they were just another face in the crowd, his blind adorers. It had been quite some time since he had done anything to annunciate his worth and this tournament was just the thing he needed to get back on top and be the focus of attention once more.

Who was he even fighting again? He hadn’t really bother to double check. His name started with an H he thought. Somewhere there was a z in his name, which was all that was memorable to him. If he had went on a mission with him in the past he couldn’t recall, there were so many and alongside that so many nobodies that he would never hear of again. Which was good, if anybody was going to be protecting the Life Sphere, it was going to be him. No and ifs or buts, he was going to become a legacy, a God amongst his lesser peers.

The stick figure entered the ring, continuing to wave to the countless faces as though it meant something. It meant nothing to him, but it seemed to get some sort of rise out of everyone around him. Such easily entertained creatures. He pulled out his chair weapon and placed it on the ground, taking a seat and waiting while he rested his head against the back of it. Wouldn’t it be amazing if his opponent never showed? At that point they should just give him the trophy and declare him the winner. Who else was there to challenge him? He recognised no other name than Pac-Man and really could that old geezer even hold a candle to him? Not in the slightest. This was going to be the easiest claim to fame of his entire career.

It seemed the snake man had other business to attend to, and he left something on the desk of a local mercenary. The note he left, a butterfly knife stabbed through the paper reading as such.

"I have recently received a notice relating to important business. Wouldn't you know it, this was right when i needed to do a battle between a flat man with a hammer. So, heres the deal. You go to the Sunshine Tourney in my place, and you can consider your tab for all the pizza's you owe to the local delivery places payed in full. The strawberry sundae's too. Infact, take the damn prize for all i care. Best regards, Hazama."

Dante looked at the note, drying his hair off with a cloth towel as he had just gotten out of the shower before some kind of military man busted in to leave the note in question. "Well....Got me there." Dante said, throwing the note into the air, then grabbing his weapons. Ebony and Ivory? Fully loaded. Rebellion? Sharpened....Weird briefcase? Probably in whatever good condition its supposed to be in.  With that, Dante slung his red jacket over his shoulder and started running to the stadium

It had been about thirty minutes when hazama should of showed up for the battle, but it appeared he was a no show. Until, a voice called out from the bleachers to silence the boo's of disappointment. "Hey! Im here to fight." Dante yelled, then walking down the steps, performing a Air Hike jump down into the ring as he stared down game and watch in his...Wait the hell were the eyes on this thing. " Im taking green and skinny's place." Dante threw the note he was left as his proof of identification for this. 

"Gotta admit, this party's lookin' pretty crazy already. Its like fighting childhood all over again. You think your buddy Q-bert will show up? Oh, or what about the ball from pong?" Dante said to the flat man mockingly, more or less giving the usual taunts before a fight would play out. The battle of the over confident ego's. Dante threw around his red coat to create a small dust sweep-up before slinging it over his arms and adjusting it to better fit.

It would appear Hazama's replacement wasn't the only one that was late. Even the ref wasn't there yet. It was a few minutes after Dante arrived when a Dwarf at 5'3" walked into the stadium drinking some Ale straight out of the gallon. He walked inbetween the two combatants and looked to both of them. "Sorry I'm late. I was having a drinking session and almost forgot I was supposed to be reffing this match... Wait, you do not look like... Ah, whatever. Sure replacements are perfectly valid," Gilius said before taking another swig. "So, probably know the normal rules, so let's skip to the special rules, shall we? Three turns instead of five and no Final Smashes... I think that was it..." Gilius said before taking another swig of his gallon of Ale. "So, we ready to duke it out?"

Mr. Game & Watch’s competition was taking a long time to show. It was to the point that the crowd eased to a soft murmur, some even taking a nap. Within that group of people was the stick figure himself. He rested softly against his created chair, dreaming of his victory. His adoring fans cheering him on as confetti rains from the sky. He dances with his trophy overhead, beeping out loud to his heart’s content. Was there a trophy to be won? There better be or this winner was going to be upset when he’s finally crowned king of the tournament. Just another title that puts him far above his peers. It’s not that he needs it, but seriously if anyone got it but himself then what kind of world would this be? Not one he’d like to live in.

The shout of some loud mouthed youngling along with his impact with the ground sprung the paper thin person out of his seat, causing the false furniture to disappear. G&W’s vision honed onto the white haired punk. White hair? Didn’t his opponent have green hair? Then again, considering the time it took him to get here he could’ve easily stopped to get his hair dyed. Whatever, that was neither here nor there.

Now that his opponent was finally here, it was time for him to prove that the last tie he had was a mere fluke of the judge. Wait, the red cloaked hipster was still talking. How dare he compare GW to the likes of Q-Bert and Pong Ball? While Pong Ball was a fairly alright guy in general, but Q-Bert? That was a low blow.

The pixelated figure crossed his arms and blurts out a couple foul beeps, curses in his language but no one knew his ancient tongue regardless, which only made him smirk even more.

Finally the ref arrives, surprisingly immediately after his opponent. If Game & Watch loses he’s gonna call foul play, they must’ve been in cahoots. It can’t be just a coincidence that they both arrived here half an hour late. Either way though, G&W nods and lets out a lighter beep in confirmation.

Dante laughed, playing his over confident smirk and then looking the flat man head on. Dante was sure game and watch had a smirk on too, but the paper thinness made it hard to tell. "Well, i think i got the basics. No items, no outside help right? Seems were in business." Dante said, brushing back his trench coat and hopping back with it as he got into position to fight this strange man.But, game and watched bleeps and bloops made dante snicker a little more. "Easy there grandpa, no need to get grumpy. Im pretty sure i still got a game and watch in my office. Well, maybe in the trashcan anyways." He said as another trash talk taunt.





Dante then leaned forward, reaching behind him and grabbing onto Rebellion, which was strapped as usual to his back. "Come on, show me what the old days brought back with you!" He yelled, smiling still. This was gonna be one heck of a hard one without his trump card of his Devil trigger, but he could manage well enough. Dante could feel his tab being paid as he breathed, and further more the thought of the victory pizza afterwards would be all the better. Hell, maybe he might attract a few ladies with his victory.

Gilius did not understand what a light beep meant but he'll assume it means understood. "Excellent!" Gilius said as he chugged his Gallon of Ale down and wiped his beard with his arm. He then stood back and pulled out his axe and gripped his gallon. "On the shatter!" Gilius said as he threw the bottle into the air and then threw his axe at it to break it as the signal. His axe promptly returned to him like a boomerang.

Besides that crack at Q-Bert, GW basically ignored the simpleton’s trash talk. Only a fool would believe a combatant that talks big game will actually be able to dish anything, otherwise they wouldn’t have to resort to it. How pathetic. Wait, did he mention something about a Game & Watch system? He owns one? Whether or not the bloke was just talking big game or not, GW couldn’t let the slightest chance at returning home pass him by. If he did have one, he needed to beat the snot out of this fair haired pretty boy and go raid his apartment or whatever place of living this guy had. Office or something?

With the crack of the ale bottle, Mr. Game & Watch was quick to advance. He speedily charged at his opponent with all the quickness that a waddling 2-D sprite could. To start the match off fresh he had to rely on his Judgement Hammer because that has never steered him wrong in the past. A quick twirl of his wrist and the mighty mallet formed in his hand and a blank sign ready to state his effectiveness in the other. An eight arises on the display board and with that the being cackles like an alarm clock.

He swings his hammer with a mighty force, a cool breeze of freezing air radiating off of his weapon. If all goes right he could freeze his opponent where he stands and continue to set up like there’s no tomorrow. He would have preferred a nine, but he could work with a good freeze if it succeeds.

Dante couldn't help but chuckle at the flatman's waddle, which unfortunately lead to him getting a face full of 2-D hammer.

And along with the face of hammer, dante would find him being covered inside of a large chunk of ice. Dante immediately began wiggling to get him out of the icy prison, busting out with a roar of might. "Well, this certainly isn't Oil Panic, huh old timer?" Dante said as another taunt, before then taking his blade out once more. "Let me show you how i do it!"" He yelled, then taking out rebellion and dashing across the dirt of the stadium. While he dashed, he lunged his sword forward to make a excellent opening for a combo.

Dante would follow this combo up by performing a unnaturally fast rapid stab attack, so quick that no one could see the actual stabs in motion. Dante then slashed G&W into the air, and took out his two hand guns, Ebony and ivory and began to fire rapidly at the midair Flatman while walking backwards from him.

Of course, if dante succeeded at hitting g&w mid-air with the bullets, Mister g&w would be pushed further into the air by a cushion of Ebony and Ivory's bullets. Dante didn't stop his firing, simply letting the bullets do there magic.

Above the stadium was an out of place Blimp designed after a Meowth, "Prepare for trouble."

"And make it- Ahhhhhgh!" An infamous duo was saying before getting fury swiped by Meowth.

"What's the big idea Meowth?!" Jessie questioned.

"We aren't getting payed to make trouble. We're here to commentate!"

"Oh right! Hello Life Sphere, the amazing Jessie is here and companions."

"And today's match is between some flat guy and some guy that sure loves to talk smack."

"Its Mr. Game & Watch and Dante if you two bothered to do any research."

"I wonder what that flat guy's diet plan is..."

"You kidding?!"

"You'd have to go without for years if you don't die of starvation first."

"It would really show off my amazing figure though."

"She lost it....."

Well, Mr. Game & Watch was hoping for a much longer period of his opponent being trapped in an icy prison. Oh well, it would seem he couldn’t just simply stall his opponent out then. That doesn’t mean much though, victory was still well within his two dimensional grasp. The man continued to blather on about something because he thought his words mattered for some reason. It wasn’t like Mr. G&W was acknowledging him or anything. In fact for all he knew he was just shouting at a creature that couldn’t understand him. Maybe the guy just liked to hear himself talk?

Unfortunately, as soon as the flat figure had his feet connect with the ground from his jumping attack earlier, he was launched back into the air by the forceful push of his opponent’s sword. Whilst in the air, Mr. Game & Watch had to plan out a strategy. Now that he was up here what could he possibly do? Right! His parachute! He pulled the thing open and allowed himself to safely descend, however, the sight of the berserker pulling out his guns was not something he liked to see. He was about to get riddled with bullets wasn’t he?

Not today! Game & Watch put away his chute and wiped out his bug spray in a single swift motion. He pumped the mighty spray downwards which pushed himself just over the stream of lead that was being shot at him. He then angled his descent toward the trench coat wearing fiend and pulled yet another weapon from his arsenal, the match stick! Using both the force of gravity and a swift wind up of his stick arm he slammed it upon his opponent’s head, trying to flicker some flames on his opponent’s perfectly white hair.

However, he was prepared it seemed as he started spinning his two guns infront of him, skidding back while holding back the match stick. Still taking heat damage mind you, but at least he did something to help himself. Dante threw the match stick away from him, his guns seemingly dissapearing as he took out what looked to be a brief case. Dante clicked it open, and suddenly dante began to glow bright golden as he was suddenly encased in a mounted turret of some kind, cannon's placed around what seemed to be a dome of pain about to be unleashed on game and watch. Dante flicked open the handle he was holding onto inside of this contraption, as he locked his sights onto g&w before saying "Jackpot!"

Dante pressed the buttons on the handle, firing off 4 homing missles at the flat man. The missiles jetted around in the air, before coming down on game and watch directly. Dante's mobile missile battery dissipated before he summoned his electric guitar Nevan. "Lets rock!" He yelled out in his best screamo impression as he started playing a guitar riff that would make Slash jealous. The riff seemed to host some kind of magical property, as from the metal guitar came forth electricity along with a swarm of bats, each flashing purple and generating electric power.

The bats made there way to game and watch, biting into him. The bats had to agree, biting into Mr. G&W was more like eating paper. But, it was per dante's command. The bats tried there best to slow the flat man down so that the missiles could make there mark onto the 2-D hero of li.

"Riiiiight. Hey, wait a second! Hidden Missles is our thing!"

"Dante does have a rocking guitar solo though. Those Zubats are coming out into the light just to enjoy it. Reminds me of my own guitar skills."

"Pretty sure those bats are going straight for the flat guy, Meowth."

"Huh. Must be some kind of guitar solo to get those bat under his control. If I learn that, we can swipe all kinds of Pokemon!"

"Get away from Game & Watch you flying rodents!"

"Calm down Jesse! We are supposed to be neutral!"

The two dimensional figure was shot back from the aftermath of his attempt at lighting the demon hunter up like a candle. Something Mr. Game & Watch had to take note of, pistols could be used as both defensive and offensive weapons. It wasn’t that he wasn’t aware this was possible it was just that he never encountered an opponent that used them as one, weird. Either way, his recovery was quick. Onto the flats of his feet in no time at all. Unfortunately that was not enough time to counteract Dante’s incredibly quick setup process. He was able to set up a turret and strum an excellent guitar riff in the span of a couple seconds.

G&W was just about ready to take on whatever the man was going to launch out of that guitar, knowing for a fact that it was going to be a projectile of some sort he pulled out his bucket in anticipation. He watched closely (his specialty) and kept a keen gaze. The absolute last thing that Game & Watch expected to come out of the instrument was electric bats. Well, his bucket wasn’t going to do much now was it? The winged creatures began to batter and bite the silhouetted man like he was a wheat thin until he shooed them away at last with a couple of pumps of Bug Spray. He knew it worked on more than just bugs!

Oh yeah, there was still a gentleman about to blast a barrage of ballistic bombs at him. Well, what was he supposed to do about that? He peered down at his bucket. Oh well that’s perfect, it’s almost like he planned for that to happen. He held his mystic bucket up and the container grabbed all the explosive ammo and reducing them into a strange and sloshy black goop. He laughed once more and pocketed his weapon once more.

The Flatzoner wasted little time as there only seemed to be a few split second left. He rushed toward the crimson cloaked character and grabbed at the floor underneath him. The circular area under his feet soon turned into a mysterious black pad and Mr. G&W flipped it like a manhole.

As his enemy is thrown into the sky, he decided that throwing him into the air wasn’t enough, a little side order of his rockets reduced into black sludge would do the trick as well. He proceeded to dose his enemy like an activist would do to a person wearing animal fur. The goo having the most foul of stenches.

Dante jumped onto his hand on the black manhole, pushing himself into the air before g&w could attack him while yelling out "Yaaaaahoo!" like a college kid on a joy ride. While dante was falling he took out his two guns. Dante began to spin around like a top in mid-air, firing down at g&w while spinning.

Dante then took out his Shotgun, loading it up and firing it at game and watch, pushing himself away from the oil spill. He landed behind game and watch, holding a hand full of shotgun shells in his left hand and his empty shotgun in his right. "Enjoy the fireworks!"  He said, then beginning to sling his shotgun around his body like they were nunchaku, loading it full of ammo before firing it off, filling it again and then firing it. It repeated the reload and fire process constantly, creating a space clearing buckshot array right at G&W.

"And here's the finale!" He said, preparing his blade and then charging at g&w one last time, stabbing him with all the power his demonic lineage would give him for his final stinger to the flat man with rebellion.

Mr. Game & Watch took the shotgun blast and bullets but managed to dodge the sword stab. After Dante's final attack, a Dwarf came out of the sky and hit the ground with his ax with thunder hitting between the combatants. "Good show, good show. However, I'm afraid time is up. Now I will decide the winner," Gilius said taking out another Ale bottle and drinking it, thinking to himself. Both combatants were good but there can only be one winner. Meanwhile, the crowd cheered, most for Mr. Game & Watch because of him being famous, but there were Dante cheerers in the crowd for his stylishness.

"I have to say, overall, I say Mr. Game & Watch was the winner. Game & Watch, though falling prey to many attacks, used his creative thinking to avoid the final bit of Dante's attacks. Dante underestimated his foe and payed the price at times. So, you may move on, Mr. Game & Watch. Not like Dante was originally on the list anyway."

"Way to go, Game & Watchy!"

"... She is really creeping me out."

"Me two... Anyway, that's it for this match! See you next time!"
