L didntunderstand Waluigi's raised by Yoshi comment. Where would a rumor like that start? Sure the Yoshis saved him as a baby, but he was always returned to his parents, he barely spent anytime with Yoshi when he was young... Well, Luigi anyway, L himself has never really been around Yoshis. And L did leave out Luigi's false courage to save his brother, but he guessed that was mostly between him, some Toads, E. Gadd and Mario... Either way, he was tired of fighting with Waluigi, it was fun at first, but he did not even know why Waluigi and Luigi hated eachother, he had no idea why he has no memories of that either. Whatever, L did not reply to Waluigi's comments this time and drank some more of his drink. L could not reveal his true identity with Blue Toad sitting here. Life was so much easier when his life literally meant serving Count Bleck, in fact, he still likes his old allies... save Dimentio. Dimentio was a traitor to Bleck since the beginning and used mind control to fuse with Luigi through the L persona. These acts gave him a grudge against the Jester, and since L was now his own person, he wondered if Dimentio was brought back from the dead. "Glad to hear it, little buddy."

After a while of deep thinking, L looked at Waluigi. "..." L did not know what to say, he was against this rivalry still, since there was no reason he knew of to continue it. "Waluigi... I got a deal for you," L put simply, he was about to do something the real Luigi would never do and did not care, it was Luigi's rival, not L's.

Waluigi cackled some more as the man who claimed to be Luigi didn’t refute any of his comments. It was very rare for him to actually win anything and having this golden opportunity meant that he wasn’t going to let it go anytime soon and savour it while it lasted. Although, winning arguments with the real Luigi wasn’t all that difficult to begin with he was way too soft to actually bad mouth anyone. Then again, this Luigi seemed to have no issue with that. Even if what he said was true and he and Mario did have some sort of fallout, it all still seemed unlikely to Waluigi. The only thing that stopped him from calling Mr. L out was the fact that who would bother to disguise themselves as Luigi? Even if it was a ploy to attack Mario why should Waluigi care, he didn’t like either of the Mario brothers to begin with.

The purple plumber finished off his drink and knocked it off the counter, the glass shattering on the bartender’s side. Luckily the Boo wasn’t there to see his ‘accident.’ “Whoops, whahahaha” the felon whispered to himself. It wasn’t like the glass shards were actually going to hurt the Boo, but he enjoyed the thought of how much of an annoyance it would be for the stubby armed bartender to sweep up.

After Waluigi was finished with his mischief, he focused his gaze back onto Luigi as he addressed him. A deal? What could Luigi possibly offer him? Unless it actually was an imposter and he wanted some sort of help from Waluigi. Well, technically he couldn’t make deals with criminals and that robot was breathing down his neck wherever he went so it wasn’t like it would be a good idea to accept his offer. Although, he shouldn’t refuse anything before hearing what was in it for him. “Oh yeah, what do you have in mind?” he questioned as he leaned his elbow on the counter and lunged closer to Mr. L

"Well, I would like to play a little game. And what's a game without risk? I agreed to do a favor for Vanish T. and may be able to get you a short Parole release as a favor. It probably would not be for long but you may get a short break. However, if I win, then we must be allies no matter how awkard it is. I choose the game and what do you know," L started as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a stack of cards, "I just happened to come prepared. So, Waluigi, do you think you can beat the gambling master?" Mr. L challenged.

If there was one huge thing that sepreated Mario from Luigi, it was Luigi's gambling. Luigi always seemed to have some sort of gambling session when he was not doing anything else. Mr. L just hoped Luigi's gambling skills would pass down to him. He was pretty sure Waluigi would not back down from a challenge.

Waluigi gazed intently at his enemy’s doppelganger then to the cards that he revealed from his pocket. He never said specifically what sort of card game they would be playing, but there were very few games that Waluigi didn’t know how to play. Well, the ones from his universe anyway, but that wasn’t being contested here since it was Luigi or at least he looked like Luigi. Waluigi knew he could run laps around Luigi at almost any game and with such an offer he couldn’t possibly refuse. Although, with how many missions he had recently participated in his community service had almost ran its course. Getting it over with as quickly as possible would be preferable however.

“Whaha. Waluigi is the best at all forms of games” the purple plumber taunted as he gently ground his own mustache with his two fingers. Waluigi then slammed his fist against the counter and twisted his stool to face Mr. L. “Wheh, bring it Mr. Eyeballs. Any game, but Waluigi shuffles the deck.” the lanky man insisted as he held his hand out waiting for his archenemy to place the deck within.

Mr. L knew that Waluigi was considered a cheater and might not be wise to let him shuffle. However, he had a special condition so he guessed it was only fair. He still had confidence he could beat the skinny rival of his original ego. Though, he did have a way to prevent Waluigi to potentially cheat. "Actually Waluigi, you have no need to worry about shuffling. This is a special custom deck I borrowed from Vanish T. I have not used yet. Its built in a way that does not require shuffling upon first use for this specific game. Shuffling will be unnecessary so neither of us cheat while shuffling the deck. Now, Waluigi, in my hand I have 10 cards," Mr. L said drawing 10 cards. "In my hand are 3 Koopas, 1 Bowser, 1 Mario, 1 Princess Peach, 3 Toads, 1 Luigi. The game is Capture the Princess, no idea why Vanish T came up with it but he did. Your goal is to pick the Princess Peach card without losing. If the Toads are picked and your next card is not Peach, Mario, or Luigi, you lose. If you get a Koopa and then Bowser, Mario or Luigi you lose. Picking a Mario or Bowser at all unless stated otherwise means you lose. Finally, Luigi is a safe card, Luigi will make whatever you pick up next not make you lose or the card after that with Toad and Koopas, unless it is Peach in which you lose anyway. Those are the rules, understood?" Mr. L asked after his explanation.

Picking: Roll 10 sided dice, if it is 1 it is Bowser, if it is 2-4 then it is Koopa, if it is 5 then it is Mario, if it is 6 then it is Luigi, if it is 7-9 then it is Toad and if it is 10 then it is Peach.

Waluigi scowled as Mr. L refuted his offer to shuffle the deck. Waluigi was well known for being a cheater, but he was no magician. He just perfected the art of swimming through the air. Well, almost perfected it, it seemed that when he needed it most he couldn’t perform it. His typical luck. Anyways, the man was standing right in front of him and he hadn’t even stated what game they were playing so even if Waluigi could cheat he would probably end up making the deck only beneficial for a game like poker or blackjack, which apparently this was not.

The green hatted phony stated that the deck was made by Vanish T., the guy that made Waluigi clean the entire arena because of his robot overlord. Not only did he not trust the deck because it was made by that guy, but Mr. L was reluctant on giving him the chance to make sure HE wasn’t cheating. By that point he had a nostril flaring grimace, he was going to lose and he knew it. The Luigi clone went over the rules and he passively followed them. Not very well, but the gist of it was the same as most of the Mushroom Kingdom themed games, getting a Bowser was bad and getting Peach was good. Waluigi thought these propaganda games were disposed of long ago. Apparently this discrimination was still going on in this day and age.

Waluigi’s gaze scrolled across the cards, he didn’t care anymore the game was obviously rigged outside of his favour already. His hand sprung out and gripped one of the cards at random. “Wheh, just give me this card” he slurred passively. He reeled his arm back in as his pupils were dead set on the Koopa on his card. Waluigi forgot if the card meant he lost or not because this was a rather convoluted game that Mr. L made up on the spot and just so happened to have his Mushroom Kingdom trading card deck on hand. Maybe that’s why he didn’t let Waluigi touch them, they were too valuable or something. “Waluigi got a Koopa” he stated as he showed him the face of his card. “I lose right?”

Mr. L seen that apparently Waluigi wasn't paying full attention to the rather complicated rules. "No, Waluigi, Vanish does not discriminate Koopas that much. You can pick again, however this time picking a Luigi, Mario or Bowser is instant loss. So you need to pick a Peach to win or a Toad to keep going though you only have one chance after drawing a Toad, so luck must be on your side," Mr. L rexplained.

Extra Note: If the same number is rolled twice you must roll again for a different number.

Waluigi didn’t quite agree with Mr. L on Vanish T.’s apparent lack of discrimination of Koopas since they were still a rather negative aspect to the game, although Mario was an instant lose, so that was a bit different. Regardless of any of that, he still had a chance of winning but not a very good one. He hovered his hand over the cards his opposite was holding, wiggling his fingers as he did so. He swiftly snatched the next card and held it up to his face.

That red hat and M emblem wearing do gooder had once again ruined any fun he might have been having. He knew he would lose, Luigi was cheating. Waluigi should have cheated. “Whehehe, Waluigi got it” he laughed as he placed the card face down on his lap. He already lost, how much harm could there be in lying? At best, he could actually get away, at worst he lost. There was no reason not to. Oh wait, the Peach card would still be in his hands. Waluigi swatted at the man’s hands immediately to try and knock them out of his grasp. To disguise this he held up his index finger and declared “Waluigi is number one!” in his usual in-your-face manner.

Unfortunately for Waluigi, Mr. L was fast enough to react and predict Waluigi's attempt at disguising his lost and moved his cards together in the move of a professional gambler and moved them out of the way. "Sorry, Waluigi, but you'll find Peach is here and if I was to guess by my hand, you got Mario," Mr. L said as he spread his hand back out and displayed it with the exact number of cards and cards he has stated was there. Mr. L played fairly for it was not in his nor Luigi's nature to cheat. "Sorry, pal but looks like gambling is not exactly an athlete's sport," Mr. L put the cards back together in one hand movement. "I won fair and square, so it looks like we are allies. Unless you want to be a bad sport," Mr. L said holding out his other hand. "I will not do anything that will be against you, and you the same to me. We will only help eachother. We may argue, but no other negative actions towards the other. We should not be against eachother in this time with the Starvia and other trying factors. Besides, maybe together I can help you get revenge on that Flatzoner, agreed?" Mr. L ends with whispering the last part into Waluigi's ear. Mr. L had a problem with GW's selfish way of helping, Mr. L finds his morales out of whack so he is as against GW's recognition as Waluigi is.

Besides, Mr. L was already doing some exploring of the rooftops so he was ready to do some vigilantism. Mr. L however did not want fame but just to stop actions that were against peace. While Mr. L was originally a mind controlled alter ego, Mr. L's master's goal was to have a peaceful world so it was the only thing Mr. L could think of as a goal of his own. Making it possible for less crime and violent actions for the good of peace. While it may take violence to make the Life Sphere a peaceful place, it was all Mr. L could think to do to make himself useful.

Waluigi pulled his arms back and folded them across his chest as his attempts at cheating failed. It was hardly a good strategy to begin with, but he had very few options available to him. His scowl broke his victorious grin as he sat facing his enemy’s alter ego in a snide manner. He refused to believe that Mr. L had played the game fairly and that his lack of skills were not at fault. If Waluigi would have had a strategy to cheat he would have won fair and square. At least to Waluigi that was seen as fair and square.

While Waluigi was a liar and a cheater, he was often times a man of his word, unless of course his life was at risk and in that case all rules fly out the window. He’d help Mr. L, sure but the moment that he had to take a bullet for him or put his own life at risk then the deal never existed. At the Luigi clone’s handshake gesture, Waluigi looked away with a nasally scoff and shook his hand. He agreed to the terms, though hardly paid mind to them. Waluigi didn’t really care about the Starvia. Everyone else around him seemed to always be panicked about it, but he kept to a blissful ignorance about it. He was aware that it was there, but he refused to acknowledge it. It was not something he needed to be concerned about, that was the Life Sphere’s government’s concern. Sure there were many issues that one could argue that he should be concerned about, but Waluigi still wouldn’t care.

Once the green cladded man mentioned Mr. G&W though he grew a bit of a devilish grin. It could just be Mr. L saying what he wanted to hear in order to confirm their partnership, but even the slightest hint toward sticking it to that stickman was enough for him. His deep rooted hatred toward G&W was a similar one that he held for the Mario bros, all of them no good do-gooders. Unfortunately he had to team up with one the supposed brothers in order to deal with the other instead of someone like Wario. “Yeah? Why should Waluigi believe your word?” he questioned cynically.

Mr. L contemplated for a bit. Waluigi definitely would not buy just anything. Then again, even honesty he would just refuse is the truth... No, if Mr. L truly wants peace, then honesty is a small but significant route. Though Mr. L is mostly persuing peace due to it being the thing he wanted when he was brain washed... If that was truly a reliable reason to persue something that difficult, Mr. L did not truly know. He guesses he does not have much else of his own to believe in.

"Waluigi, what reason would I have to lie about helping take down a common enemy. That isn't just something you say, it is phrase that comes with risk and arguable reward. Mr. Game & Watch is nuisance I want taught a lesson too, your method just was too risky and needed to be more discreet. Besides..." Mr. L leaned closer to avoid Blue Toad overhearing and whispering, "I am not the Luigi you are used to. I have no grudge against you," Mr. L confirmed. Saying he wasn't Luigi would be highly inaccurate. They sounded, looked and were the same in almost every way in appearance. However, Mr. L was differant from Luigi in personality, relationships and morales as well as his new powers and his mind also had other differances like his knowledge in Robots and Egineering. He was Luigi but he was also his own alter-ego. How he personified from Luigi's mind, Mr. L still did not know, but that did not change that when it came down to it, he was not Luigi truly.

“Wheh, common enemy. He’s no different from you or your brother…” he was going to continue on in further detail, no doubt throwing in some more derogatory jokes at Mr. L’s expense, but he was cut off by the statement that the Luigi double gave for his ears only. So Waluigi’s suspicions were correct, this was not the real Luigi. Or rather, he was stating that he was a changed man, but there were a few signs that suggested that this Luigi was not the same as he had faced before. So did that mean he was some sort of doppelganger? The lanky man grew a devious grin, almost like he was just told the key code to a bank’s vault. He leaned one of his elbows on the counter and slouched comfortably. He looked at the toad, nodded and then back at his new partner. “Well, if that’s the case then Waluigi has something to hold over your head too, wheh” he answered smugly.

“My way wasn’t supposed to be discrete. I didn’t care about that stick figure, Bowser wanted that statue and Bowser got that statue. Megaman’s girlfriend brought in more reinforcements than Waluigi was expecting to fight.” He shook his head. “Wheh, if you got a better idea then say it” he stated as more of a challenge.

... Well, L apparantly gave Waluigi black mail not like he could use it effectively without the full details. Waluigi helping Bowser was not odd but Bowser was an enemy of Mr. L if not just for because he opposed Bleck. Waluigi also said something about a Megaman's girlfriend, but Mr. L never heard he had one... Maybe he's referring to Zero because of his Mega Man similarities and long ponytail. L lost a fight against Zero but L is a good sport so he did not really care. Oh well, bringing it up was not really important.

Waluigi challenged Mr. L if he had a better plan, and indeed he did, in his opinion. "In fact I do. You see, I was practicing my rooftop jumping late one night when I saw a glimpse of a flat figure past by. Luckily, I was on a higher rooftop, so he did not notice me. Point is, I figure he's some kind of Vigilante of sorts. I planned on doing the same. If competition was made for the Flat Man and he was one to value his appearance, he would be forced to challenge me in some form. Here's the fun part, why punish him by beating him if he can shake it off? So the best way would be to humiliate him publicly. I have hidden L cams lying around I can set up, I just need you to find some way to supply me with things that would humiliate him. Don't worry about A.I.M., I can use my favor to maybe let Vanish let you into my custody for maybe a day or two. Doesn't mean I won't try to prevent you from negative actions, of course, I can't really risk getting criminalized for letting a criminal have his way, but I will let you have a little more free will and won't force any work on you. I just need your prankster expertise."

Waluigi changed his posture yet again, the prospect of the conversation finally dipping into his territory of expertise. Luckily for Mr. L he made a deal with the brains of the wicked bros. Well, Waluigi was only known for that because Wario just wanted to make him feel smart, not actually because he was smart. His levels of pranking were still quite hard to match though. Very few could find ways to annoy and disturb people like Waluigi could.

The felon began to fiddle with his pointed mustache as he conjured up a nasty plot to wage against the one who had brought him to justice. It was too broad of a field to narrow down to just one mode of humiliation. Mr. L did provide him with a direction though, he informed him about how he usually saw the 2 dimensional cretin leaping across buildings. His mind began to run with the idea until finally he conjured something of use. He reached into his back pocket, remembering his most recent purchase after trading in that gaudy cat suit. A disk was firmly in his grasp as he displayed it. “Whehehe, it’s a cloaking device. All Waluigi needs is either someone very strong or a crane and we’ll have everything we need.” The purple plumber began to spin the coin shaped device on the tip of his finger. “Do you know Moundo? Well, we’ll need him since this device seems to only work on living things and he’s the densest I know, literally. We put him on a roof that Game and Watch is going to jump on and SPLAT!” just as he finishes he let the device fall to his lap and clapped his hands together as a representation of his scheme. “Wheehehhe, he won’t know what hit him! Whahhahaha” at this point he turned into an uproar of laughter.

Well, Waluigi was strangely prepared but that was great for now. No idea how he managed to sneak such a thing but it was Waluigi so that is an excuse. "That sounds a little violent but I guess it fits under humiliation. I've seen the rock you talk about on a wanted poster. The question is though, how do you suggest we convince or even find this guy to help us?" Mr. L asked, curious if Waluigi even thought about it. "I can lift the guy, I am as skilled as the Mario bros at lifting heavy objects like Bowser. Or if we need something that can fly and lift, my Brobot L-Type can handle that since I can probably use the Cloaking Device as a source for invisibility."
