THE ORB
The Oreo World
Alignment: Lawful -- Good
Motto: "I'm just borrowing I promise!"
Allies/Friends: Everyone!
Enemies/Rivals: Except for the monsters
Backstory: Orb is a final creation of a dying world. A planet blessed with both magic and science saw unparalleled advancement and quality of life for hundreds of years, every child born with a gift engraved in their soul that let them manipulate the world in their own special way. Then strange animals started to emerge from the forests and caves of the world, altered but recognizable and bearing their own gifts attuned with the world. However, they were still animals, and several lives were lost to the animal's basic instincts wreaking havoc with unfamiliar powers. A wave of violent retaliation laid waste to the wild, the respect for nature that they had originally harbored being drowned out by the fear towards these new beasts.
A great forest was wiped out starting from the outside, eradicated and brought to the ground to be replaced with sleek buildings and fields. With only a small circle of forest left the humans saw the peak of a mountain off in the distance towards the center of the forest, standing tall and proud overlooking everything while the people prepared for another push into the unknown full of monsters. The first marching step taken by the people was met with the sound of the world falling apart, all around the entire circle sending them all clinging to their ears and wincing. As they recovered they looked up to see what had happened. The mountain stood up.
The wave of violence towards nature was met with a tsunami as new beasts started to pour out across the world, no sign of familiarity to the animals that had taken care of the world before. Some beasts were continental, so massive that any amount of power pointed at them seemed dull. Some beasts almost looked human, standing on two legs as light itself seemed to bend around them. Some were even cute, bearing no aggression in their body with big puppy eyes and rounded features. For all their variety the outcome was simple, the forest started to take back the land, reaching out through the earth with the help of the monsters guidance.
For the first time in half a millenia, the race of humans had a powerful enemy. So powerful that they decided to lock themselves away just to avoid it. The entire world of man came together to try and survive what was surely the end of days, pouring all of the magic and science at their disposal into trying to solve the issue of the end of the world. Out of this great mass of power came two things. One was a mighty tower, reaching into the sky and all but invincible from the outside to contain those who were left and take care of them until they were strong enough to face the world outside. Second was a tiny sphere, a blank canvass of infinite possibilities and potential carrying the soul and power of it's creator along with an endless 'stomach'.
The orb was released on the world, with a curiosity for the world forged from an empty mind and a single command, to contain the monsters.
Appearance: The Orb is a greyish slightly-transparent sphere of varying size, with a spherical opal gem at it's core about 10 centimeters in diameter. There is a slight shine to their body, like smooth rubber.
History On Li: Orb does not remember what was happening before they came to li. What they do remember is suddenly being on hard pavement and beginning to roll around to look at their sudden unfamiliar surroundings. The first thing they met in the new world was Zelda, who seemed to not be a monster. From them they learned a few words, and got their first form to copy. The sphere shifted and changed to mimic Zelda's shape, mirroring her movements as they learned how to move a human shaped body. From them they also learned about hugs, and magical girl poses, a dangerous power to learn so early. It took them a few more meetings with others, but they learned how to speak slowly but steadily, picking up words and new shapes to take as they continued to see this new world. They met Samus, and learned about crime, metroids, and not to eat random people. They met Dawn, who used them for a quick buck. And they met Claus, who taught them about evil and good.
Unique Abilities (2, taken from special attacks)
Savior, but baby: Orb is made of a dying world's hopes and dreams, the peak of all their magic and technology. They have 30 more stat points to distribute. Unfortunately, their mind is also empty and inexperienced in almost everything. They take a -6 modifier to any roll they make for things that they are unfamiliar with that require them to respond or act. They have a total of 70 memorization points in total they can use to negate this modifier. Every time they would be affected by the modifier, Orb can designated 2 memory points to reduce the penalty by 2, cumulating until this modifier is +4. This penalty is very specific, based on stat used. For example dodging a str attack with dex, a str attack with wis, a dex attack with dex, and a wis attack with dex would all be counted separately, and resisting statuses that target different stats would need different modifiers. These memory values are thread-specific aside from devour, which is always at 10. Final smashes are not affected by memorization.
Perfect Mimic: The Orb is made to adapt and learn from their experiences. They are able to copy abilities that they see others perform and learn to use them over time. They have no filled move slots of their own, only copied abilities. Basic abilities can be copied by sight, taking no actions to save to a move slot. The only way for orb to copy a special ability is by enveloping a target, which is treated as inflicting swallowed whole, takes one action, and has a 3 turn cooldown. All copied actions start out at a -6 modifier, regardless of similarities to previously learned moves. Cooldowns or other similar effects make the move slot unusable for that number of turns, not allowing them to copy another move into that slot for the duration. Copied moves are saved to the character app until replaced.

Special Attacks (1)
Placeholder:
Devour: [Experience: 10, Str, Targets Dex] The Orb lunges towards an enemy and attempts to envelop them in their form. This inflicts the Swallowed Whole status and allows Orb to copy one special attack the target has access to. 3 turn cooldown. (Part of perfect mimic but put here for clarity)
Final Smash (1)
True Devour: Inside of the gem inside of Orb is everything they have ever eaten, including many of the monsters. When the gem makes contact with an enemy, they are teleported into this extra dimensional space and must fend against the monsters for three turns before being released out into the world again. Inside they will encounter one of three combats:
Three weak monsters, with 50 hp each and a +2 in every stat, attacking for 10% dmg per turn each
Two medium monster, with 75 hp each and +3 in every stat, attacking for 15% dmg per turn each.
One powerful monster, with 150 hp and +5 in every stat, attacking once for 30% dmg per turn.
The monsters must make attack rolls and so are dodgable. Attacks from allies aimed towards the target automatically hit. Otherwise the ability acts like a grapple, but is ended early if all monsters are defeated or the target has taken 90% damage from any source instead of 40%.
Other Info: The orb enjoys hugs greatly
