The co-ordinates led Samus to a desolate and barren land right near the remains of the Bottle Ship she has ventured through in the past. However that ship specifically was not her focus in this mission as it was somewhere else on the higher portions of the Zebes like landscape. The area was somewhat quiet and there was no one around except the Bounty Hunter. A fact that might seem weird considering this wasn't exactly a safe location on the planet.

Regardless she would approach a fair sized metal entrance with it's entrance doors already wide open. The facility seemed to lead underground, overlapping with the higher parts of the Zebes Caverns. The door panel did not seem to be working either. The insides of the facility were dark as it seemed the reports of the power being out were accurate. There were faint sounds of moving inside but it was impossible to tell what was moving from this far away. If she wanted to find out she was going have to enter the stairway leading down into the main area of the Galactic Federations Lab.

Riding in her Gunship, Samus Aran was readying herself for a Journey that, For once, May feel familiar to her. Though, Exploring abandoned GF Labratories almost never settled in right for her, She at least had experience in this specific type of dungeon exploration, as Samus's gunship flew across the Planet and directly to the Derelict Bottle Ship. She felt a small bit of dread at the oncoming mission. It seemed that every time she had entered the Galactic Federations Locale's, There was some form of horrific discovery of what they had recently done. Samus's Gunship began to Land, Slowly lowering itself onto the rough land, as Samus stood up, preparing to reach for her power suit, Until she got a sudden call from her Communications Screen on her ship.

"Samus? Hey, Glad I caught you!" Otacon's voice rang out, as samus smiled softly, walking to the Com. Desk. "Otacon, Good to see you too. What can i do for you? Do i need to head back?" Samus would ask, as Otacon shook his head. "We can handle ourselves out here. Anyway-- I actually wanted to let you know that the Weapons Research Facility have just finished the final pieces of your New suit, To your specifications." He would say, as Samus smiled. "Excellent work, Otacon. Estabish the Data link, I'll warp it over. Samus Out." Samus would say, as Otacon's face vanished, as samus extended her hand forward, her body suddenly wrapping itself in a thick blue symbiotic slime, as a Glowing White Armor surrounded her and took it in part of her...

" ...Feels good to be back." Samus would say, as he Gunships hatch opened, as Samus rose to the Top and leapt onto the Life Sphere ground, her helmet suddenly wrapping around her head and shining bright as it connected.

Samus felt no fear as she walked through the open laboratory doors, her eyes looking back and forth for any signs of life while she walked through, Moving with a Fearlessness of someone who was experienced for what may come. Her Arm canon faced forward.

The insides of the lab was mainly just a hallway with several doors on either side of the hall. Unfortunately most these doors were locked and could not be opened due to the power being shut down. There was the small sounds of steps every now and then that echoed through the ancient lab but outside the weird feeling of being watched Samus could not see anyone nearby. One of the rooms fortunately still had it's door open but what was on the other side was a... sight.

A bunch of tubes containing various bodies that were apparently deceased. All young, probably not a year old for most of them. Some were human, other weird amalgamations. One of the tubes was still open with no sign of what was inside. There weren't labels for any of them except the open one which was scratched beyond legibility. Outside of that there was the corpses of Galacta Federation Scientists. They had various wounds in a lot of ways. Scratch marks, scorch marks, impaled in some sides, bone fractures, etc. Outside of the bodies and tubes was a way further on but before Samus could take it floating skull masses appeared out of nowhere.

Coverns Samus could recogonize them as but they had an off purple glow. Infected Coverns. The sinister spirits entered the bodies of the scientists and they started getting up. "You killed us..." The zombie GF Scientist stated before aiming a punch at Samus.

Another one grabbed a taser before aiming to shock Samus with for a more meaningful attack... kind of.

And one final zombie grabbed a scapel before throwing it like an impromptu shuriken at Samus. "Go away you monster!"

Samus could probably tell these possessed bodies were... extremely weak. She could probably dispatch of them with little issue if she wanted to but then the Coverns would become more able to attack her. So she could also just move on from them, it probably would not take much effort.

Meanwhile in a room further down the hall was a young girl curled up with bodies surrounding her. She was in a quiet state trying to keep her emotions to herself. It was difficult however and she sniffled a bit as a large eye floated near by her. "... You really are just like them in a strange sense..." the eye spoke to her as she looked away from it. That thing gave her the creeps and she was unsure it was even real. "... You know this'd be a lot easier if you came with me. I'm sure Mother Brain and Ridley would just love to meet you," the haunting voice in her head continued.

"Leave me alone..." she replied. She could hear words it was not saying as well. The ghost did not give her good impressions. "I'm afraid I can't do that. Your energy is too alluring..." it remarked. Her energy was...? "... If you don't go I'll..." she begins hesitantly. "... You'll what?" it asks, there being a silence for a moment.

"...Did i say it felt good to be back? ...Remind me to smack myself next time i say that." Samus groaned to herself as a...Far, All too familiar sight was before her. Dead GF Researchers surrounded by the very things that killed them-- some kind of terrible research into things they should of just left alone. She lets out a sigh as she taps the side of her helmet, A Bright Scanning beginning to take place over each of the pieces of equipment.

"...Sure is Galactic Federation." She would say with a sigh. "What do you think, Otacon?"


"...Otacon?"


"Otacon???"

"...Great. Com Link's down. After i made that great 'Remind me' Joke..."

Samus would say as she suddenly stopped her progress, only to see...Three Bodies, Risen up by the sight of Coven's. Horrifying amagams of faces and skulls, Morphing into one another as they find a host to infect, and control.

Samus side steps the punch with a brisk walk, Leans away from the Taser, and then promptly just catches the Scalpal-shuriken, and tosses it aside onto a table. "Im not here to disturb your rest. Just wander about in peace. Your Duty is over." Samus would say, with an authoritative tone of voice that was...Unusual for her, as she walks past them and into the next room! After all, Best way to stop covens from coming, was to stop tending the grudge.

Samus continues down the halls, This time, Taking special care to follow the halls that seem to have the most damage, or atleast seem the most...Utterly ridden by corpses to find the interesting goodies of this facility. After all, That surely would lead to where this Missing Experiment went, Right?

Normally the Starvia would of made that negotiation not go over so well but at Samus's tone and command they froze up a bit. Something about what she said and how she said it and her refusal to attack them seemed to reach the bodies. They watched her leave before continuing to shimmy after her a bit although they certainly couldn't keep up with her pace.

Samus's intuition was accurate for a long while. There was certainly a trail of bodies, some of these ones were even soldiers with cracked and crushed in helmets. Deep claw marks made into their flesh. Whatever caused these wounds must of been a horrific monster. As well the hall did not deviate much as it's not like the rooms were much more accessible. However suddenly outside the slow pace behind her it was quiet again. Nothing but her breathing, steps and voice to break the quietness... That was until there was an explosion in a nearby room that did have it's doors open.

"... So, ready to come quietly now-" Phantoon began to request as phantasmal hands reached out for the girl before she held her hand out to him. "I said leave me alone," she commanded quietly before firing a giant flaming ring out of her hand at him. "A Rinka?!" the menace declared before disappearing with it's hands to avoid the attack. The flaming ring impacted the wall and caused a firey explosion that rang throughout the station. With the ghost tormenting her gone she quickly got up and made a break for the door. She looked behind her to make sure it did not appear breathing heavily in more panic than tiredness.

A young blonde girl that was barely a teen at best suddenly ran out of the room in front of Samus in a seeming panic. However as she looked forward she stopped upon seeing the stranger in armor that was different from the Galactic Federation soldiers. In fact it reminded her of her own armor in a way. Still that thought quickly returned to panic as the mysterious girl with a bit of resembleance to Samus began to step back a bit cautiously. It looked like she might turn around and begin to run off at full speed in the opposite direction if Samus did not do something to stop her.

This echoing silence burned in Samus's mind as she looked directly forward, her eyes sharply staring into the darkness as she kept her cannon trained forward at said darkness...For once she'd like to be in a GF Research Institute that wasnt completely abandoned and left torn apart. Just once. Samus scowled a bit as she sighs and takes her next step after step. Until, A Sudden explosion blasted through the silence, Making samus immediately take aim at the Set of doors, rushing forward to see what had just happened! And what she found was...


"...W-what the..?" She uttered quietly, stepping closer and closer. "W-who...Who are y--" And before Samus could finish, she started to run! "H-hey, wait! Im not going to hurt you!" Samus calls out, running forward to chase after her. Samus...Knew it was against her better judgement to do this, But, In a Flash of White, Her Suit Vanished as she approached, Now turned to her Zero-suit form!

"See? Im not a Soldier, Im not an enemy-- Wait up!" She offered, Trying to take hold of this girls shoulder to stop her.

The girl hesitated as she broke into her sprint slowing down a bit. Confusion who she was...  And her words actually seemed to match her intent. She took a moment to look back as Samus shed her power armor before stopping. She was smart enough to know why Samus has similar chozo technology she had. Her hesitation was enough for Samus to easily catch up. She felt the arm on her shoulder as she looked back down the hall... She didn't know where she was going. "..... Yeah, you can't be no one else is here anymore..." she said after a moment, refusing to look at Samus but she didn't seem like she'd resist.

"... Samus," she adds after a moment. "You asked who I was. That's what the scientists called me anyway..." Out loud... "... Codename is S.A.M.B.R..." she added after a moment. Giving no designation to why she shared that. "I think you should go. There are no other survivors and... I don't want to leave..." her tone kind of betrayed her words, seeped in despair and guilt. "The weird eye monster will be back soon too so you should just... leave me here," she finishes still not looking back as she stood still.

With the fact this smaller girl had stopped to give Samus a moment to speak, Samus slowed down and smiled gently. "Right...No one except you and me." Samus would offer. "...How--" Samus initially began upon hearing the Girl's Name. Samus. But-- It was then that she corrected...What? What?? Samus looked around once more to get an idea about where she was...She was in a GF Labratory. And there was a Girl here, named Samus, Who looked...Especially like her. With a Code Name...And...And...


...Samus's Mind was immediately filled with various fantasies about smashing in the door to Adam's office, In full power armor, And...An endless violent barrage of a beating would ensue on Adam until he was a Puddle that you didnt even have to be a Metroid to slurp up. But, Samus took a deep breath, and...Reconciled. Now was not the time...Later was the time. Now-- This girl needed help, clearly. "...Well-- That's quite a coincidence. My name's Samus too." She would decide to say-- Not quite picking up on the fact she was being read.

"...Well--No Survivors except for you. And i dont intend to leave without you. But-- since you were here first...Guess im staying with you." Samus would say with a Firm bravery-- As her body was engulfed in Light once more, into the Form of her Power Suit. "Im guessing you have some unfinished buisness here? ...Tell you what. Lets make a deal."

"I help you get everything you need from here...And you with me once everythings settled. Deal?"

Samus felt those thoughts of violence upon someone named Adam but she didn't speak up. There was something about her thoughts that felt... warming despite how brutal they were. She glanced with a small smile before Samus's next line. "You don't have to-" she with a shake of her head before breaking off. That eye was interested in her... If it can't have her it might end up getting her data... There can't be another her. Ever. She looked back to Samus for a long moment. If anyone could stop her it's probably her...

"... Alright, there is something I need to do," she relented after a second. "I want access to a file but when that monster showed up the power went out. The control room should be nearby. We take care of him the emergency power might come back on. I can access the file myself..." She said, really sure of that for someone that looked barely reaching teen. "When I get done with that I'll do what you want, okay? Let's go."

Samus decided to follow suit and a glow came from her body and quickly she was in full power armor but the design was much different. For one Samus's had wings much like Meta Ridley's with a draconic helment and a clawed hand. Even her arm cannon had the jagged appearance. To match the theme her armor was purple. Still she lacked the size to really match the Space Pirate's Terror.

Seemed what the R stood for was fairly clear at the very least and MB might be a connection to that. Still she just moved on in silence looking around since she could not rely on her mind reading when her Power Armor was on. The hall was long but there seemed to be a door jammed at the end that was stuck by some debris from being completely shut. There was a feeling they were being watched but nothing came out yet.

"Sounds like a plan, Kiddo." Samus would say with a nod, As she placed hand upon her arm cannon, as was typical of her, As she looked dead ahead. But-- When she put on that power suit...Samus shuddered a bit, Narrowing her eyes and wincing... "...Thats a....Particular suit, you have there." Samus says, With a tinge of Disapproval upon her voice. That...Was not a very nice form for Samus to look at, It's resemblance to a Particular monster certainly standing reason why. 


Regardless-- Samus took the position directly behind her Younger self. She had to have a Power Suit for a Particular reason, right? But still, Between them, Samus would feel better standing behind SAMBR, As so any sneak attacks behind her wouldnt be against such a fragile thing. And then-- There came a Door, Blocked by Debris. Samus nodded. "Step back." Samus offered as a single warning, Before aiming her arm cannon at the Debris, Her Cannon shifting it's form and readying a missile, Before samus fired off the explosive directly at the Debris and the Door!

...What? Samus wasnt a very stealthy kinda explorer. And frankly, Drawing out the monster here would make Samus's Day.

"... It was meant to be designed after yours. The Galactic Federation forced me to make it... It turned into this when I calibrated it to my body..." Samus admits with a sigh seeming to not like it much either. "It's designed for speed, power and endurance though so I feel safer wearing it," she adds. "Don't know what caused it. Theoretically it was a result of genetic mutation when it incorporated itself with my DNA signature but that's just a theory," she finishes. "The scientists were scared of it too..." She sighed as she looked up for a minute. She just followed behind Samus and obeyed her warning the while. Honestly she planned to do the same.

As the doors were blasted they fell apart and left an open doorway. However out of nowhere a hand appeared right in front of Samus and attempted to slam her into the wall as it rushed forward!

Phantoon appeared on the other side of the door inside a large computer room with several servers alongside the walls. It glared between Samus and the other Samus for a moment. "There he is! That's the monster!" Samus pointed out before the Space Pirate fired flaming eyeballs at the duo in a fury.

Samus nimbly flipped over the barrage of eyes and as she landed she gave another jump but this time went into flight as she moved to slash into the creature's eye but missing as it moved out of the way. The clone changed her flight trajectory however to prevent a crash and landed a shot from her arm cannon. She stored heat into her arm cannon afterwards as she charged up a shot for later.

Samus quietly recognizes her own personal resentment for the Suit's nature as her own Trauma, As she approached the Door she had destroyed, Only for her scanner to pick up a High Trace of Energy! With a Movement, Samus Side-steps-- Quickly pulling SAMBR Along with her as she avoids the Hand!

With extreme gusto, Samus sidesteps the Hand as it Slams Past her, But, Samus does not let the Hand go at all, As she quickly pressed her Steel Boot ontop of it to slam it harder against the ground, Turning to face the empty doorway with her Cannon charging up and awakening a bright light on it's tip, as she glares into the Approaching smog. It was one she Recognized, as the Phantom Alien who had assaulted her during one of her few missions long ago, Even after her mourning of Adam. 

"...I am so sick of you." Samus would say simply, as her Arm Cannon's colors changed from Blue, To Yellow, As she suddenly swings it forward as Phantoom send out an Array of Black Eyes at them! Samus, However, Fire's Her Cannon through the Gap of the Black Eyes, As the Tiny shot flies by, and then suddenly Expands, Growing Gargantuan in Size in the form of the Sun Burst!

The blazing light blasted through Phantoon as he recoiled from Samus's Sunburst. As a phantasmal presence he did not expect all that light. His eye went between Samus and Sambr for a moment after he blinked past the last two light beams. The creature's eye finally settled on Sambr. Two portals of darkness opened up and fired intense beams of energy towards Samus and Sambr.

Samus is wracked by the beam of energy as she falls to the ground and takes a moment to reorient her systems as she looked around and Phantoon was... gone? She was confused and thought he ran away again until a massive tentacle came out of a portal and lifted her up to the space ghost's eye. "... T-tell me about it. I'm already sick of him... GET OFF!" Samus insists as her armor turns black in color and hardens as she increases her armor's durability and attack power before throwing her arm cannon into the air and admitting an explosion and forcing him to release her as he recovered.

As she landed on the ground Sam aimed her arm cannon at the entity and shot a grapple beam that looked like Ridley's tail into the creature's body. The creature flailed before Samus pulled and slammed the phantasmal pirate into the ground.  "Okay, hit it now!" the clone suggested.

Samus couldnt dodge the attack in time, Tanking a huge hit to her Chest plate before she slid off of the energy flying at her, Her Arm Cannon readying it's Missiles up as she aimed for Phantoom-- Only to watch as it took hold on Sambr instead. Samus Winced as she changed for the Power Beam approach once more-- Only to be shown that Sambr could handle such a situation with a Point-blank Explosion and...A Grapple Beam, that made Samus stop and step back. That Sharp tail piercing through the Body of Phantoom...It took Samus back to the Envisioning look of Ridley, Piercing his tail through her Family...Her Friends...

"W-why...Why this?? What monster would...Do this to a girl..." Samus softly whispered

"Hit it now!" Was the Call Samus needed to snap awake, As she nodded and Ran up upon Phantoom's Body, Grabbing hold of Phantoom's Lips and Aiming her Cannon directly into it's eye, Starting by Slapping her Cannon into it's Eye from Right to Left-- To Left to Right, And then Directly plunging the Cannon Barrel-first into it's Retina!

She was going to make Phantoom eat an Ice Missile, and then, a Super Missile. She said no words. Just a Silent Glow of Her Visor as she launched these Point Blank attacks!

The creature struggled a bit as Samus unloaded attack upon attack onto the eye with the struggling to maintain it's tether to this plane. It looked like it was about to get up before Sambr suddenly reeled herself towards it missing the first swing but landing second pawswipe followed by a kick. She was silent at this point too as the eye flew and she aimed her arm cannon at it and fired a big ring of fire similar to Mother Brain's Rinkos at it. She then followed with another shot which caused a loud screech as the monster disappeared from this world for the time being once more.

Sam did not lower her guard until the lights began to flicker back on and power began to whirl through the building... Though it was still quiet outside the hum of tech. Samus just took off her helmet and walked over to the nearby computer and began typing away as she traced the files. After a period of time she landed on a file labeled Project S.A.M.B.R.

"Samus and the Space Pirates have disappeared seemingly without a trace. We saved this plan in case the Bounty Hunter went rogue but to reinforce these defenses we need a new super solider with chozo technology. With the Chozo society lost we have little choice on how to do that. These DNA Samples contain data on Samus Aran, Mother Brain and Ridley. With a combination like that and some intense training they could be the most powerful person in the galaxy and that is exactly what we need right now.  The responsibility of providing that relies on your team. Send us encrypted reports on your progress only when we message you. This research is far too important to allow enemy hands to obtain. Try not to get too sentimental either. This may be a person you're creating but there are things much more important than them-..." the order was laid out along with several research logs attached detailing the process to create the clone.

Sam just stares at the invoice for a moment before resuming typing. After a moment Samus could see Sambr's plan was to delete all the information that led to her creation and do a system wipe.
