Donkey Kong would watch the skylines for Nobody, presumably making a flashy escape from the Egg Viper before it went down, but there was even a glimpse of him amongst the crowd. It would seem that Nobody would know where he was. Given his track record, it seemed quite beneath him to die in a fiery crash (or perhaps, more in character than just about any other mode of death), but only time would tell if he was ever going to resurface.
Regardless, Donkey Kong was at the edge of the crater made by King K. Rool’s unconscious body. The asphalt beneath his very feet would quickly crackle, and perhaps distracted by his search for Nobody, he would quickly fall right through the top layer of the Life Sphere’s streets and down below, perhaps a good couple meters, to the underground. It was doubtful that an athletic ape such as himself couldn’t make an easy recovery from such a short fall, though what he would find underneath it all would be quite… alien.
The catacombs of the Life Sphere’s underground were not unlike the usual caverns that Donkey Kong would have found on his island adventures. It was wide, almost fit for a colosseum, with the occasional jagged stalagmite. It was clearly outfitted with Black Doom’s perversions though. Unmistakably, the Red Fruit littered around the area, glowing red orbs that illuminated the cavern. Chrysalis-like pods lined the walls, looking to have already been busted open from the inside, likely explaining where the horde of Black Arms had come from.
It seemed that Donkey Kong was alone in this cavern, save for two bodies that seemed to be worse for ware than himself. One of which was King K. Rool, reduced back down to his normal size as a result of getting the wind knocked out of him. He likely fell through the cracks in the street that his larger body had made. However, he seemed to be too dazed, perhaps even knocked out to do much of anything. Then again, him not being in trophy form likely meant that he could get up at any second. A good socking could put him out cold, but there might be bigger problems for the king of kongs to deal with.
The second body was that of Black Doom’s. He too was down for the count, a stalagmite pierced through his back as he laid on the floor. His physical pain seemed to be the least of his worries as his massive claw was gripping his horned head, as though his was nursing the mother of all migraines. “HEH hah heh” he laughed in pain as he looked up to spot Donkey Kong across the room. “They sent the monkey to finish me off… revolting” he muttered as if he had little life left to cling to.
At the very center of the room though, there was a very clear and present clock ticking, the bomb that E. Gadd had previously mentioned. It was clearly fashioned after the Subspace Bombs previously used by the Subspace Emissary, figures, if they were utilizing Dark Cannon technology it would make sense to use a device with similar origins. Two minutes remained on the clock and it looked to be bolted down. Besides a barely conscious Black Doom, it appeared to be completely unguarded.

“In two minutes time, it will have absorbed enough dark matter to completely wipe out the entire Life Sphere, reducing everyone to trophies. Go ahead and destroy it, ape, it’s only at half power now, heh hah.”
Meanwhile, upon the streets of the Life Sphere, a shady hedgehog zipped through at blinding speeds. Curtains blew in the wind, awnings shaking uncontrollably. He would not find it hard to follow the tremors of the mighty King Krusha K. Rool, and even if he lost sight of those, the wide scale Gang War was not much harder to stumble across.
Shadow would find no trouble with the ruffians and gang warriors as they were all pre-occupied with fighting the on coming waves of Black Arms aliens. Much further beyond the rampaging creatures, Shadow would see his time travelling ally Donkey Kong at the cusp of a crater, likely the origin of the tremors. Just as swiftly though he would see him fall through the streets of the Life Sphere and into the underground. With how fast the hedgehog could run, it was unlikely that the crowds would give him much trouble, he could merely speed his way through the ongoing war and follow DK right into the cavernous underground.
