Lillie smiled at her mother's response. Maybe if she worked at it, she could be that confident one day! She gripped the straps of her backpack idly as she walked along, more than content to be underneath the shroud of Lusamine's tresses. She wasn't even paying attention to Lusamine's body language, but she subconsciously moved a bit closer to enjoy the comfort it provided. “Even though you're right, I'm really grateful to be here with you Mom.” Lillie replied. She wasn't trying to say Li didn't terrify her. She was just saying losing her mother was its own evil she wasn't ready to face. Nope. Nope! Not here for it. Already been down that road twice. Somehow hurt worse the second time. She didn't want to think about a third. Whoever said you get used to pain? Complete liar, as far as far as she was concerned.

“I actually almost didn't make it here. We were out at sea traveling to Kanto and somehow we wound up here instead. The entire crew fell sick and became aggressive. The uh... 'doctors' called it 'starvia'.” Lillie softly explained. She had her doubts about the authenticity of any doctor that was nearly her age, kind as they were, and frankly the older doctor had displayed to her the bedside manners of a mercenary! She felt uneasy when he entered a room, especially with that bonesaw he always carried around. Honestly, who does that?? Had he been expecting to amputate a limb?!

...Internal rants about doctors she was pretty sure didn't have actual medical licenses aside though, they had entered a building. It didn't take long for Lillie to notice the bug and jellyfish people, which frankly was all she needed to be put on high alert. She was not a bugs kinda girl. And this?! Well this just made her tense up like a cinderblock. Oh goodness, bug pokemon. Big, huge bug pokemon. ...Did they just talk? Bug people! Big, huge bug people. Hopefully she wouldn't need to do the talking, because her courage and confidence had just eloped to nope, screwthismart to buy some bug spray.

She decides to  pay attention to the snail, pretending to eye some goods for a bit as she tried to get a better look at what he was doing back there.

As the duo encroached on the corner of the alleyway, they would be able to see that the tail’s owner was indeed Kremling in form. He stood rather casually, resting an elbow on a neighbouring wall. Just a bit past him, there stood another of his creed, a Kremling that was sat on the ground and rolling his head with boredom. By the sounds of the whispers, there was more of them, but with the position that Yumiko took, she wouldn’t be able to see them.

A yawn escaped from one of the Kremlings. “You know what’s in my top ten pet peeves? Waiting. It feels like that’s all we do anymore” the seated one complained.

The comment seemed to be enough for the nearest Kremling to take a step forward and point an accusatory finger at the other Kremling. “Nobody cares, Kregg. Boss says we wait, and I’m not losing out on my pay because we’re upsetting one of your top ten lists.”

While Yumiko had a limited view of the scene, that was certainly not the case for Yoko. Thanks to her cat illusion, she was able to walk within the line of sight of the Kremlings and scope out their setup. There were five of them, all hanging around a fire escape, one of them looked ready to climb it at a moment’s notice. Said Kremling had a walkie talkie planted next to his ear. In addition to that, there was a wooden crate guarded by two of the Kremlings.

The cat illusion was amicable, but it quickly got the attention of Kregg. He looked at it longingly. “Aw man, the people up here can even afford to have pets.”

The other Kremling gazed at the feline with harsh eyes.

“Eh, that’s no cat!”

“What’re you talking about, that’s totally a cat.”

“It’s never ‘just a cat,’ not around here!” the Kremling announced as he drew out his claws and sized up the little creature. “Get lost!” he shouted fiercely, baring his jagged and pointy teeth.

Kregg hopped up from his seating position and poked his head out through the alley where the cat arose from and locked his eyes on Yumiko after a brief search. “That goes double for you, girlie! Unless you want to end up in my top ten favourite snacks!”

“Shut it, Kregg.”

Meanwhile back at the corner store, Lusamine made a point to take in the surroundings as best she could in the midst of Lillie’s speech, disguising her face and its expressions from view, particularly after a certain M word. Once she decided that she’d gotten the eyeful she needed, she gazed back at Lillie with her soft and sweet eyes. “Mmm, yes, I suppose that being at my side is the safest place to be. There’s no place that a daughter of mine should rather be” she spoke pleasantly as she snugly wrapped an arm around Lillie in the form of a half-hug.

A look of concern grew on Lusamine’s face as Lillie described how she arrived on Li. “Oh my, how dreadful! I scarcely even want to imagine what you were going through. Those are the kind of thoughts that keep me awake at night.” Her eyes shined with empathy, but as she heard the fiery language of the cricket in the background, her attention turned toward the female shopkeeper. Just like that, her expression changed back to one of a serious nature, like it was a mask she could swiftly change between. “Excuse me a moment, there’s still work to be done.”

As Lusamine approached the counter, she briefly eyed the red clad cricket’s name tag. “Good afternoon, Mrs. Cricketly” she opened with a pleasant smile.

The cricket returned with a pausing lift of her single digited hand, allowing her to listen to the phone for a few seconds longer before putting it down and bringing her attention to Lusamine. “Sigh, they put me on hold” she stated in an irritated manner. “Can’t believe this city sometimes.”

Lusamine nodded in understanding. “Oh, I know, I own a business as well. You have just a lovely shop though, I can’t believe you’re having such troubles!”

“We were doing well, until that chef setup their stall outside. Where does he think he is? The Black Market? You can’t just setup a food stall without permits! I don’t know where he gets his supplies from, but there’s no way he’s up to code with the prices he’s charging!”

The gargantuan snail continued its tasks, smashing open the crates presented to it, allowing the products to stick to its slimy body like sand to wet skin then slowly recoiling into its massive shell, hiding from sight for a good minute or so. Lillie’s wandering eyes were not lost upon the truck driver, his whole head doing a double take as he noticed her staring, despite it not being focused on him specifically. His pace seemed to quicken ever so slightly afterwards.

As Yumiko went down the path, she would soon hear whisperings and quickly hid behind a corner. Yoko however, would rather investigate what they were saying by disguising herself as a cat rather then to foolishly run into the figures and attack them. "Is disguising a cat such a good idea in this situation? There's not a lot of animals in this alleyway. Sure they might be doing other things, but it might be still suspicious to them." Either way, Yoko already moved towards the figures while Yumiko stayed behind to see what would happen.

She heard multiple people talking about waiting for their boss, but before she could hear anymore, the figures noticed, a cat. "Uh oh, I knew this was going to happen. Get out of there Yoko before they do something!" If they even try to attack Yoko, then Yumiko was going to swoop in and help her mission partner, even if there was a lot of them.

What's worse, they seemed to have figured out that it was Yoko using a cat form and tried to scare it off, as well as Yumiko, who was also spotted. She must of been so concerned for Yoko then she didn't focus on hiding from the figures herself, who all turned out to be alligator like people.

Were those Kremlings that she heard about? They did have tails like the one that she had seen earlier. Yumiko moved near to Yoko's cat form, and moved one of her hands behind her back.

Which lit up with fire that she was going to blast at the five Kremlings if a battle starts between them, but maybe she can try and keep the situation from escalating from a fight and only use her flame attack as a last minute resort in case one of them tries to make a jump towards her and Cat!Yoko.

Like the one that showed off his claws.

"Sorry if we were walking in on you guys with whatever you're doing. I'm actually looking for someone who looks exactly, he ran down this alleyway very fast before me and my cat here could find him, you don't happen to know where he is right. When I last saw him, he said he was going to find a, crate or some boss guy to talk about something important with him or her?" Yumiko asked, maybe one of the Kremlings might be foolish enough to reveal what they were waiting for or what's in the crate that one of them might be guarding.

Lillie tensed up as she observed the packages sticking to the snail creature. Her mind immediately jumped to the admittedly probably ridiculous thought of her getting stuck to the snail the moment she dared to touch it or vice versa. She could imagine herself getting more and more stuck, the more she squirmed--or worse! ...That slime could stain her dress! She resisted the urge to freak out or flee. The part of her mind that recognized these were people doing people things who might be offended if she showed her disgust more openly was having a rather vicious fight with the part of her mind that just didn't like what she was seeing. It resulted in her standing there quite tensely with something resembling a pokerface.

“S-So... Are you an employee here?” Lillie nervously stammered out in a breathless manner. Smooth~!

Of all the worst luck, her cover would immediately be blown by just one Kremling...  "Oh boo...  Looks like your friend found us out; though to be completely honest, we were hoping to get some information on a certain creature..." Yōko would say as her illusion pulsed causing an ominous chill to course through the air, shattering the illusion and revealing to the two Kremlings the true form of the person that was Yōko

Yōko would give a glint through her supernatural golden eyes without blinking, her presence invoking what would be extreme levels of intimidation far surpassing King K. Rool, her form being an all white take on the tale of the Nine-Tailed Fox, and clear as day to her physique being lithe and slender, but what really made her distinct was her height matching that of Lusamine, if a few inches taller and not floating like she were a ghost that could easily make people crap their pants upon looking her in the eyes.

The one thing that was still the same with her despite the change in form and appearance; was the vocal tone in which she spoke.  "You will kindly tell us all about what you know about Genesect please, and it won't do you to try running since you are now in the presence of the Mistress of the Yokai Asterisk." Yōko would add, that ominous chill beginning to spread out far throughout the alleyway like a thin transparent mist.

The duo of Kremlings didn’t let their guard down, leaving the four of them at a standoff that was likely to go awry the moment someone made a wrong move. The other two Kremlings in the area looked on with suspicion, ready to draw their weapons as soon as the situation went south.

Violence didn’t break out just yet though. As Yumiko spoke, the one Kremling listened with interest, though that didn’t mean he retracted his claws or sneer any less. As she mentioned the fact that she noticed someone sneaking around the alley his eyes shifted over to his partner, Kregg. When she said the part about him talking about their operation, his eyes seared with angered annoyance. He proceeded to smack Kregg in the snout with the back of his scaley hand. “What have I told you about keeping your trap shut!?”

Kregg recoiled, comforting his snout with a series of pats. “Ey, ey! I swear, Klaw, I’ve never seen this girl in my life! I dunno what she’s talking about!” he quickly pepped up, pointing to Yumiko with anxious wide eyes. “She’s lying, I swear! I went for a bathroom break, then I came right back here, I didn’t talk to nobody!”

The one known as Klaw held a look of suspicion, more for his partner’s incompetence than a disbelief in what Yumiko was trying to spin. Before he could give Kregg another earful though, the cat began to change form.

Scarier than King K. Rool was a subjective interpretation, but the glowing deity-like fox was most certainly not the form that the two Kremlings were expecting the cat to take, catching them off guard significantly. They backed up a bit, minding their distance. Kregg seemed to be weak in the knees, though all it did for Klaw was make him sneer harder. When the fox spirit uttered Genesect’s name though, he immediately turned to Kregg with a searing rage in his eyes. “That was exclusive information, you idiot!” he shouted as he leapt at Kregg, seizing him by the throat and pinning him to the wall. “Do you have any idea how much K Rool paid to get that thing’s location!?”

Kregg was left wheezing, gasping for breath in addition to waving his hands since that was the only way he could refute the claims of his partner. “… I… didn’t… swear…” he desperately tried to explain.

The other two Kremlings that were guarding the crate further down the alley lowered their weapons momentarily, mostly so that they could use their free hand to scratch their heads in confusion about what was going on between Kregg and Klaw. Was the situation under control? Should they attack the interlopers?

The massive snail sluggishly turned its head to look upon the little girl. Lillie clearly got its attention, but it held the vacant expression of an animal of lower intelligence, like a mule. Its bulbous stemmed eyes moved in a circular motion, as if scanning her body. The cicada store clerk noticed the two interacting and leisurely made his way over, noticing that Lillie was attempting to speak with the creature. “She doesn’t really talk” he pepped up gingerly, still a present expression of nervousness on his face, though it was likely his default expression. “She’s probably looking for pets or treats.”

The conversation between Lusamine and the cricket lady ceased for a moment, specifically so that the shopkeeper could turn her head over to the snail. “Don’t distract her while she’s working” she said calmly, yet forcefully.

“Yes, dear” the cicada answered in a submissive tone.

During that small distraction in conversation, Lusamine was allowed a moment to fix her gaze elsewhere, noticing that the truck driver was moving awfully faster for some reason, almost stumbling over his own work dolly to get back down the aisle and toward the door. Her head tilted back to the cricket lady. “Does he usually work that fast?”

The shopkeeper held a disgruntled expression once Lusamine pointed out the unloader’s hasty movements. “Hey! Slow it down, I don’t need you bumping into my fixtures!”

The unloader froze on the spot, turning his head only slightly. “Right, sorry” he apologized simply and quickly, then proceeded toward the exit at a brisk pace.

Lusamine didn’t take her suspicion-filled eyes off the truck driver for a second, studying his every move to its most minute detail. Her head tilted toward Lillie, but she didn’t look at her. “Lillie, we’re leaving” she stated simply. As the words carried through the room, the unloader tossed the dolly aside and made a full sprint to the door, cleanly exiting the store. “Now! We’re leaving now!” she commanded louder, chasing toward the door to follow the man. She was quickly regretting her choice in footwear.

Outside the store and back at the meeting point, Steve had his itemfinder out, holding it like a golf club. There was a pokeball on the ground and a cup linearly placed further down the sidewalk. Just as he was about to putt, he caught movement in the corner of his eye. A man was barreling out of the general store with reckless abandon, leaping into his transport truck the moment it was in close proximity. “Uh-oh” he astutely observed.

Without further delay, Steve attempted to chase down the vehicle before it the perpetrator could start it, but that was a far-flung hope. Before he could even clear half the distance, the engine was up and running. The vehicle peeled down the street and into the residential area, the scent and smoke of rubber burning being very clear in the air.

Before the vehicle could get very far an explosion erupted from its side, sparks like fireworks flying into the air. It caused the truck to served, but the continuous barrage of cracker launcher shells arising from the rooftops very quickly caused it to tip over to one side until it finally slammed against the pavement, a thunderous thud and lesser squeals of metal arose as a result. The wheels continued to spin, but like a turtle on its back, the truck wasn’t going anywhere.

Steve stood in the middle of the road; gaze fixed on the crash. “Well… that’s convenient” he spoke in a mystified manner, knowing full well that this gift horse was probably not as pleasant as it seemed. Turning his gaze toward the source of the blast, Steve quickly noticed that there was a small group of Kremlings arising over the edge of the rooftop, all high fiving each other and getting ready to jump.

Back in the alley way, after the sounds of the explosions and truck crashing, all the Kremlings stopped what they were doing and turned their heads toward the direction of the noises. They all looked to each other with confidence. The two Kremlings guarding the crate smashed it open without any hesitation, revealing a small collection of weapons, including a drill arm.

The Kremlings collected what they could and attempted to scurry out of the alley, completely disregarding Yoko and Yumiko in the process.1d20-2·1d20-2

Yumiko watched the scene with the Kremlings unfold, such as the panic expression that appeared on Kregg's face when he denied ever seeing Yumiko or her cat. Yumiko just responded by laughing half heartedly at Kregg, although it was obvious that she was faking the laughter, which she hoped the Kremling's don't find out. "Of course you remember me. You told me stuff about this Pokemon named Genesect while also saying bad things about someone." She paused, looking at the Kremling that smacked Kregg named Klaw.

"Someone named Klaw, about how he's a lazy boss who should get smacked in the face himself." However, before Yumiko could continue, Yoko decided to turn into her true form and demand to know where Genesect was. Since they were now exposed, Yumiko lifted her hands in case they had to fight the Kremling's soon.

"Well, no use to pretending now." Yumiko said, only to see Klaw start to strangle Kregg for his incompetence, which angered Yumiko to the point that she stepped forward.

"Hey, don't kill him over something that he didn't do. He really didn't talk to anyone, but even then, he doesn't deserve to be strangled like that!" Yumiko could tell from the way that Kregg was acting that he was the most scared of the group compared to everyone else. And it seems as though that they at least have information about Genesect, as well as someone named K Rool, which was perfect because now Yumiko and Yoko just need to grab one Kremling and interrogate them about the information that they have.

However before Yumiko could begin to attack, she heard something crash from a far, causing the Kremlings to scurry. She also discovered that the crate that they were guarding were weapons.

However, even though the Kremlings weren't focusing on her and Yoko anymore, Yumiko was still focused on them, and turned towards Kregg. She decided that she was going to try and stop him from leaving so he can ask the questions that Yumiko wished to tell him.

"Sorry, but we need one of you guys to help us find Genesect." In an instant, Yumiko stomped one of her feet onto the ground, which sent a heavy ice blast towards Kregg in an attempt to freeze and stop him. A cold blue ice colour moved from the ground and towards the path where Kregg was to stop him from moving.

Worried that her attack might be slow enough for Kregg to escape, Yumiko quickly turned towards Yoko. "Yoko, try and stop that scared Kremling from escaping, he might be useful to us." Yumiko asked her partner as she pointed towards Kregg, but she waited to see if her own attack was actually going to reach him regardless of how slow it was.

Lillie stood there petrified as the world swam by around her, barely able to process the passing of time as she took in what she heard and hyper fixated on one... specific detail. The slug creature wanted pets. Lillie's hand quivered with anticipation at the thought, raising slightly as if to pat the creature atop its head. No, wait--Why did she do that?! It was only polite, right? But she didn't want to touch the slug creature! Its skin was probably slimy and left a residue she'd be upset about for the rest of the day! The memory of it smearing would haunt her for the rest of time! Where would it smear? On her clothes?! The thought made her tense as a cinderblock, a scream welling up in the back of her throat that she had to fight to keep from escaping as a soft whine. She was in too deep! She raised her hand! They'd doubtlessly interpreted that as an offering, so she couldn't turn back now! If she walked away now they'd know everything, and she'd hurt their feelings! Could slug people cry?! Were they sensitive?! Would it remember her until the end of its life like a copperajah, resenting her for spurning it in its time of need?! Would it tell the other Slug people? Would she become known as the slug hater, her reputation tarnished by her flippant attitude toward mollusckind?! She couldn't deal with that future!

Lillie stood there for several long moments, shaking slightly with fear as her imagination went wild. And then... her mother's voice snapped her out of it. They were... leaving? “Sorry, gotta go~!” she bashfully apologize, transitioning her raised hand to a wave before turning about and sort of half powerwalking half jogging to catch up to Lusamine. Normally she wouldn't run indoors, but the urgency in her mother's voice caused her to second-guess her manners. And so, she too scurried outdoors... just in time to see the truck peel out. Her eyes widened land she came to a stop as she observed the explosion, staring in something resembling horror as the truck lost control and violently tipped over. Her mouth hung very slightly open at the sight. She tried to find the words to ask if the driver was okay, but they got caught in her throat.

Yōko would simply give a giggle and a serene smile, as she was very well composed despite the intimidation.  "I think that one of you should come with us as collateral, no point in using it as a hostage situation as we think the ones responsible would not like to have our quarry be used as a bargaining chip." she said with a politeness in her voice that seemed almost supernatural without the sinister tone.

And car crash, she couldn't hear the sudden explosions from her vantage point, but she would pick up Kregg if he fell to the ground from Yumiko's attack, and simply keep him close to her, while walking to see what went down.  "Yumiko, come.  We should at least keep the other Kremlings in our sights at all times." Yōko would say as she made to exit the alleyway.

The Kremlings moved in an unorderly fashion, almost stumbling over one another as if they couldn’t afford to be even a second late to the party. Klaw didn’t hear a word of what Yumiko had to say to him, lost in such a blood boiling rage, but the second that he heard the echo of the Cracker Launcher, his grip around Kregg’s neck released, letting him plop back onto the ground and wheeze to regain the air that his lungs were so desperately without. Following behind the two guards, Klaw swiped up the Drill Arm and fled around the corner of the alley.

Due to the choking out he received, Kregg was easily the caboose of the pack, only managing to stagger to his feet after the rest had fled. He wobbled toward the destroyed crate in a brisk jog, snatching up a super scope. His stopping to grab a weapon was exactly the opening that Yumiko needed though. Before he could scurry away with his brethren, he felt the earth rupturing from behind him, a destructive blast of ice ripping through the tiled floor. “Oh, why’s it always gotta be me” he lamented.

In that very moment, Kregg’s cold blooded instincts kicked in, his Kremling heritage offering him wisdom beyond his years. He tossed the super scope aside and leapt up like he had springs in his feet. He latched onto the fire escape ladder, allowing the icy blast to continue down its natural path. With the coast clear, he released his grip and stood formidably before the two. “Hah! You’re looking at a one kremling army!” Kregg boasted as he pulled a small device from behind his back. “And with this little baby, they might promote me to Kaptain Kregg when I’m done with you!”

The Kremling lobbed the red trinket forward, its identity being much clearer once it landed at their feet. It was a Smart Bomb. Rather than exploding instantly though, it sat there for a painstaking few seconds before it released an empty hiss. It was a dud. “… Stupid Kremling luck” Kregg muttered as he stood there with a hand upside his head. Running for his life and evading Yoko’s grasp, Kregg exited the alley, followed closely by Yoko.

With great haste, Lusamine charged out from the general store’s doors, making a b-line toward Steve’s location. The chaos didn’t seem to shake her all that much, but her gaze was fixated on the wreckage of the truck. Her eyes squinted with displeasure, noting how the vehicle was damaged. “So there’s a third party now” she stated in a bemused manner, eyes glancing back at Steve. Her vision went beyond her employee though, noticing that the sushi chef was no longer at his stall. It seemed that most concerned citizens had fled the area.

After the celebratory high fives were done with, the Kremlings from the rooftops decided that now was the time to strike, leaping off the buildings in droves. It wasn’t just a small crack team of crocodilians, a small army starting sprouting out of the woodwork. Popping up from manholes, scurrying out from alleyways, dropping from the roofs of buildings, all swarming toward the truck. There had to be upwards of fifty of them all converged on that one area of the street, just beyond where the three of them stood. Despite that, their focus was exclusively on the van.

As the horde of Kremlings encroached on the vehicle, its door flung open, a trio of Pokeballs launching into the air and popping open. A wall of light blinded the scrambling Kremlings for a short moment. From the light arose three peculiar Pokemon. An Amoonguss, a Shedinja, and a Carbink. Despite the ravenous reptiles continuing to press forward, the three Pokemon moved with purpose and speed, as if what they were about to do was rehearsed several times over.

The Amoonguss launched a barrage of infectious seeds at the Shedinja, the roots of which dug into its body. The Carbink then launched a wave of energy at the Shedinja, one that absorbed its ailments and made the creature glow as if its fundamental properties had changed. The wave of energy bounced back toward the Carbink, its body becoming infected with the seeds that were once on the Shedinja’s body.

The husk’s void-like eyes glowed with intense power, its body rattling in an uncanny manner. The Kremlings at the front of the charge were quickly met with an ethereal slash of ghostly energy, claw marks adorning their chest as they flew back. The creature then vanished from thin air and appeared in front of a random Kremling in the horde. In retaliation, the croc batted at the Pokemon, but his hand just phased through its body. The creature’s shadow consumed the Kremling’s body in kind, before disappearing once more.

The driver’s head poked out the door for a split second, relaying the order “Mr. Sandman, bring them a dream!” In succession with that command, the Amoonguss’ body shook rhythmically, spores raining from the mushroom caps adorn its body. With a summoned gust of wind, the spore flew forth into the horde of Kremlings, infecting the next wave of reptiles with a bad case of dreariness that caused them to fall over, their brethren tripping over their bodies as they attempted to push forward toward the overturn truck.

Once the truck driver’s orders were complete, he ducked back into the vehicle and secured the door shut.

Pure chaos was unfolding before the trio, a war between a couple dozen Kremling and three Pokemon. Steve turned to his boss then. “Y’know, we could probably wait it out and let them just kill each other…”

Lusamine’s eyes flicked from Steve, then over to Lillie, recognizing the utter horror plastered on her face and the silent worry that came from her mouth despite words evading her. She stepped forth, placing herself directly in front of Lillie, Pokeball in one hand, the other reaching back as if to guard her child. “If that poor creature is somewhere in that mess, then its my job to dig it out” she spoke confidently as she tossed the ball forward.

The crackling energy from the opening Pokeball released the gargantuan figure of Bewear, the creature releasing a bass pitched roar as it materialized into existence. Snuggems required little to no further instructions. Her beady eyes fell upon the Kremling horde in front of her and it quickly knew what it had to do. She stomped forward with earth rumbling steps and windmilled her arms around, like a windup toy designed for pain.

Amidst the battle, and unnoticed by either Lusamine or Steve, a trio of Kremlings came rushing from behind them, roaming around the corner of a nearby building. They dug their heels in, stopping a couple yards away from them, though the one named Klaw nearly tripped up on account of the fact that his Drill Arm made him incredibly top heavy. It seemed as though their distraction made them late to the party, but they shrugged that off and decided that whoever these people were, they were clearly an obstacle in their operation, so they lifted their super scopes and took aim.1d20+1

Yumiko watched the diamond dust move slowly towards Kregg since she didn't preform it properly, and watched as it successfully missed him and went further down into the alleyway before stopping. "Damn, it missed." Yumiko cursed as she watched Kregg jump down from the fire escape and taunted the girls, before pulling out a weapon, It was a bomb. Yumiko prepared to brace herself from the explosion and was planning to try and protect herself and Yoko from the blast too.

But, just as she was about to move out of the way, the bomb failed to blow up on the girls, so Kregg just left, with Yumiko following from behind. Seeing as how that loud crash just now was coming from the same path that Kregg and the Kremlings had just went down, so they will be able to find out about it while chasing after the Kremling group.

"Right." Yumiko said to Yoko. As she made it out of the Alleyway and saw what looked to be a made scuffle at the truck between more Kremlings and some Pokemon.

"There's more of them, and they're fighting at the truck." Yumiko wondered if one of the Pokemon that was in the fight was the Genesect that they were looking for. She was also relieved to see Lusamine, Lillie and Steve again, but not at the fact that the Kremling group that they were fighting with just now was aiming their weapons at them and was preparing to fire at them.

"Oh no you don't!" Yumiko shouted towards the Kremling group as as she fired three waves of maziodyne towards the group.

"Guys, look out!" Yumiko called out to Lusamine, Lillie and Steve, warning them of the Kremling group behind them soon after she fired the three shots of maziodyne.

Yōko would follow behind Yumiko in hot pursuit of the Kremlings, but not before picking up the Smart Bomb and holding onto it and gliding after her ally.

The moment the Kremlings were in view she would leap into the air and fire off some fireballs to try and Roast Kregg...  Each one of increasing potentcy

[Pokémon Trainer Lillie]

Awww, geez... Should they call the hospital or something? Or the police? Were they responsible for this somehow?? Should she turn herself in?! ...What did she do again? Er... Lillie's panicked thoughts were interrupted Steve's suggestion, which earned a furrowed brow and an unamused glance from her. Was that supposed to be a joke?? Who said something like that?? Before she could really think that through though, her mother earned her admiration by suggesting something that was not only at the very least productive, but empathetic. That cheered her up and grounded her thoughts, as did the gesture with her arm leave her feeling a little more secure in herself. She wasn't quite used to this type of violence, but with her mother there she could ...

..?

What was she going to do again? Go beat up a bunch of hardened criminals who just killed a man?! ...Er, maybe a bit too ambitious. Survive? Well that was setting the bar pretty low. While Lillie was debating how she wanted to think about this in her head, her hand slipped into her bag and she began searching for her Pokeball. Whatever she decided to do, she'd probably do it better with help from her pokemon. “Nebby, let's help Mom, okay??” she explained as she released Nebby Jr. from his ball.

However Nebby Jr., facing Lillie and able to see behind her, quickly caught sight of a threat Lillie hadn't. He began to chime at her in an attention-seeking fashion. Lillie kinda blankly stared for a moment in confusion as she noticed Nebby Jr trying to gesture at something without arms, bemused by his body language. What was he..? ...It wasn't until someone called out for her to look out that she got the idea to turn around. Catching sight of the kremlings taking aim, she tensed upand did something pretty brave by her standards. She stepped between Lusamine and the people aiming guns at her. This was accompanied by a delicate tug at the hem of Lusamine's skirt and a “Mom!!” to get her attention.

Meanwhile, Nebby Jr began hovering over to the kremlings and bouncing around them in the air, chiming in an energetic fashion!

The trio of Kremlings stood with their weapons at the ready, the super scopes’ barrels glowing with power as they were prepared to fire upon the trio of Pokemon trainers ahead of them. In the split second that Yoko and Yumiko arrived though, they were momentarily distracted by their shouting, causing their attention to flick back. “We’ll deal with them after! Get those three while they’re unawares!” Klaw commanded with gusto.

As they turned back around, Cosmog was suddenly within their line of vision, prancing around in an excited and enticing fashion. Their weapons remained charged, but their expressions fell into a stupor. “Is that one of them pokey mans?” one of them questioned, turning their confused eyes to their next ally.

“I think so…”

“Is it… is it charging an attack? Do we shoot it?” As the trio continued to bumble amongst themselves, it seemed they quickly forgot about their pursuers. As such, the wave of lightning sparking from Yumiko’s fingertips fried all three of them, the electricity pulsing through their crocodilian skin until they fell forth, flat onto the ground. Their weapons clinked against the tiled street below, leaving two super scopes and a drill arm behind.

Kregg was a bit late to the party, thus once he scampered onto the scene only to see his compatriots fried and sprawled against the ground, he performed a quick 180 on his heel and tried to run back the way he came. Unfortunately, Yoko played for keeps.

With his back turned, Kregg was pelted several times by a variety of fireballs, each knocking him forward until he fell face first into the ground. With his snout buried into the ground, he muttered “you’re welcome” before being slammed in the back of the head by another fireball.

Both Lusamine and Steve kept their attention on the all-out brawl that was happening before them, so they paid little mind to the noise that was erupting from behind them. That was, until Lillie pulled on the skirt of her dress, drawing her attention to the group of Kremlings that were ready to backshoot them. Luckily the Cosmog and their backup showed up in time to eradicate the group before they could do any real damage. Lusamine though, she found herself in a trace like state, eyes locked onto Nebby Jr.

Steve nudged Lusamine’s shoulder and wiped his arm across his forehead. “Whew! That was a close one, right!?” he announced with a relieved glee.

That little bit of nudging from Steve caused Lusamine to snap back to attention, shaking her head a bit. “Right, yes” she uttered as her tone shifted from vacant to grateful. “We owe our thanks to Ms. Shirasagi and Yoko for having our backs!” she announced with a friendly wave to the duo before turning their attention back to the horde of Kremlings and Pokemon fighting tooth to claw.

Despite having the superior force in numbers, the Kremlings weren’t doing so hot against the trio of Pokemon the truck driver sent after them. Most notably, the Shedinja proved to be the most troublesome. Every time it reappeared from the shadows, the Kremlings would scratch or bite at the beast, but their attacks just phased right through it, allowing it the opportunity to slash back at them then disappear once more.

Snuggems managed to clear a path through the horde of reptilians, only receiving minor scratches from their show of resistance. She cared little for their presence, bulldozing her way and flinging them out of her path with a swing of her battering ram arms, until something stood in her path that she couldn’t simply knock over, Mr. Sandman. The Amoonguss was in the midst of spraying toxic spores into the face of an opposing Kremling as the Bewear entered the scene, but quickly turned its attention to her once she was in range.

Upon locking eyes with Mr. Sandman, Snuggems’ feet stomped in place, her arms swinging about wildly. She was working herself up, and it seemed to feed her rage all the better. Her flailing arms quickly solidified, slamming them toward the ground where Amoonguss stood with a furious motion.

The Amoonguss’ pupils grew to massive size, as the shadow of Bewear’s massive arm loomed overhead. Not being known for its speed, it knew it couldn’t just simply leap out of the way, so it summoned a protective barrier in front of itself, the shining glass-like energy field taking the brunt of the force. As it dissipated though, the fungus creature spat a flurry of spores into Snuggems’ face. Following that, its root-like tendrils dug through the ground, hooking around the big bear’s ankle, attempting to trip her up and knock her to the ground.

Worry Seed: This move negates any passive abilities a target may have and replaces it with the Insomnia passive ability for the span of three turns. The Insomnia ability prevents the user from being put to sleep, however, the user must also make an INT check at the beginning of each turn. If they fail to succeed a roll of 7, they will suffer a stacking INT and WIS debuff of -1 until they are no longer affected by Insomnia. Thusly, the more INT the user fails, the more panicky and unhinged they will become.

Lusamine’s hand remained over her mouth as she watched her Pokemon get taken through the ringer. “Hang in there, Snuggems! Help’s on the way!” she shouted before turning her gaze to Steve. She nodded her head over to the battlefield, as if to silently command him into the fray.

Steve gazed into the warzone, the leaping Kremlings engaging with the Carbink reflecting off the front of his visor. “…Y’know, maybe my qualities are best served over here.”

Yumiko smirked when her powers had managed to take down the Kremling's that were threatening Lusamine, Lillie and Steve, followed shortly by Yoko taken down Kregg when he arrived at the scene. "Good job. We can interrogate him later for information once we deal with this situation." Yumiko said to Yoko before pointing towards the chaos that was the Kremling's fight with the trio of Pokemon.

Who were attacking Lusamine's own pokemon, and she seemed worried about him and wanted someone to rescue him. Worried that Steve might get unnecessary hurt while rescuing Lusamine's pokemon, Yumiko decided to step in some more to help deal with this growing problem before it escalates into something worse, like a riot.

Although, since this fight involves Pokemon... It would become a poke-riot? If the group just stands around and watch this fight go on, Yumiko quickly approached the trio, as it seems as though Lillie has also begun help stop this fight too. "No problem. I'll also make sure your pokemon get's out of there safe and sound." As Yumiko looked at the fight and the injuries that Lusamine's Bewear were already getting from the trio of Pokemon, before quickly turning back towards Kregg.

Knowing he was lying there, likely knocked out from Yoko's fireballs. Yumiko then focused on dealing with the fight, and since there was a lot of Kremlings, Yumiko decided to deal with them first. Since they're likely the cause of the Pokemon attacking everywhere, if the Kremlings were quickly dealt with, maybe they'll calm down since they'll be nobody else to fight with besides the Bewear.

Yumiko jumped forward and watched a few attacks towards the Kremlings. "We should focus on taken down those Kremling's first." She told the group as she fired her attacks.
