Jr's silence only served to irritate Bowser more then he already was. The Koopa King opened his mouth, intent on tearing another strip off his son, and Jr winced, bracing himself for the verbal lashing he was about to get.....but it never came. Looking up, Jr saw that Bowser wasn't even looking at him anymore. Instead, he was staring directly at Shadow, who hadn't even bother to be quiet, let alone stealthy, upon his entry.

"Who dares enter my throne room unannounced? Especially during a talk with my son?" Bowser roared, his irritation giving away to full-on fury. "GWARRRGH! You're gonna pay for that idiocy!" Bowser started spewing red hot flames toward the hedgehog. Looks like his rudeness was about to cost him dearly!

Shadow! Bowser is attacking you for your utter lack of respect! Roll a 13 or higher to avoid the flames, or take 14% damage! Be careful, though. Fail this threshold by 6 or more, and the flames will do double damage!)

Bowser's roars shook the entire palace, but Jr wasn't quite paying attention to his father anymore. His mind was more focused one what Shadow had shouted when he entered.

This was all a dream? What was that supposed to mean? Well, yeah, Papa was certainly acting strangely, and everyone else seems strangely hostile but....was this really just a nightmare? Jr looked confused, putting a hand to his forehead. This whole thing was starting to make his head hurt....

Luckily, Alma was successful in not drawing attention to herself as she slipped in behind Shadow. Sneaking in quietly after Shadow's outburst seemed to have been effective! She had drawn herself closer to Jr, who was still left in front of Bowser's throne, feeling very confused. It looked like he would need help if Alma wanted to get him out of here!

Alma! Jr seems to be confused and a little distressed because of Shadow's revelation. Roll a 10 or higher in CHA to try and calm him down, so you can get him out of here!

Shadow glared intensely at the giant koopa, clearly unfazed by the titan’s gigantic size. “You don’t scare me, you glorified fire turtle!” Shadow taunted, solidifying his stance. “You’re just mad because your little charade’s being threatened! Well, good luck fooling me, whoever you are! Let him out of this dream!” The “King of the Koopas” wasn’t slow on taking the offense. Only two sentences and he was already starting to charge a giant fire attack.

The hedgehog straightened himself up, glaring directly into the monster’s eyes as the rage of Bowser took the form of a blazing fire. Shadow made an attempt to leap into the air out of the way with the help of his jet shoes, though how successful he was at the dodge depended on whether he was able to stay in the air long enough or if he was able to land anywhere away from the flame.

Thanks to Shadow’s brilliant speed, he did just that, though the landing wasn’t exactly perfect. The Ultimate Life Form was angered by the Koopa’s automatic aggression, but the hedgehog clearly wasn’t one who would turn down a good fight. The hedgehog formed a smirk. “Okay,” Shadow hissed. “If it’s a fight you want, it’s a fight you’ll get.”

Shadow rolled up into a ball and launched himself into a furry of spin dashes. However, after dashing at Jr’s “father” once, Shadow, still rolled up in a ball, jumped and launched himself into a homing attack, aiming for the beast’s head.

Once that was done, Shadow allowed himself to vanish in a light blue hue in an attempt to attack the king at light speed. Shadow wasn’t showing a shred of mercy to this fake Bowser. Whatever it was that was causing this dream was attacking Jr, and he’d be sure to attack it with even more veracity. He wouldn’t lose to this thing. For Jr’s sake, he couldn’t.

Shadow spread his stance a bit after the attack and a smirk was formed on his face. “Is that all you got?” The hedgehog sneered. “I sure hope not… cause I’m just getting started.” Shadow clenched both of his fists and prepared for another assault should he be getting one.

She was ready to try and pull Junior away from all this, to come up with some nice words to get him to understand...but the moment the actual fight began, she didn't quite know what to do. Terror flooded her eyes at the roaring, the fire, the everything.

"That...that's not your real dad...um, n-nightmare!" She babbled and stuttured, eyes flicking to and fro, sounding utterly unconvincing.

What was she supposed to do!? Help Shadow? He seemed to be doing fine, but that could change fast! Doing good until now only made her panic more, and for the moment, she froze.1d20

As all Shadow's attacks connected with Bowser, the Koopa King would just....take it all, not really reacting as Shadow hit him again and again. When Shadow landed and taunted Bowser, he didn't even react to that. What happened? Did Bowser break? Or did Jr's mind break? Shadow wouldn't have time to figure this out, because after a few seconds, Bowser....melted into shadows and ash, disappearing completely.

Or rather, that's what it looked like at first. For the three of them wouldn't be alone for long, because Jr, almost ignoring Alma completely, started to get even more confused and panicked, glancing around worriedly and putting his hands over his ears, as if he seemed to see something that the other two didn't.

That mystery, however, would soon be uncovered, when the echoing sound of stomping footsteps would echo throughout the room, as....something got closer and closer....no, wait, it was more then one something. The doors of the throne room burst open, and not one, but two Bowsers slowly walk toward Shadow, Alma, and Jr. What was going on? Jr was more confused and scared then ever, but the strangeness didn't stop there. The twin Bowsers opened their mouths to speak, but what echoed throughout the room was certainly not Bowser's guttural growl, but a voice that Shadow would definitely find familiar. Though it sounded much more soft and horse, like it was struggling to breathe, it was definitely....her voice

"Shaaaadoooow....."

"I need your.....heeeeellp...."

.....Whatever this thing was, it definitely wasn't Bowser. But it was still doing a number on Jr's dreams, evidently. It was probably the target they were searching for!

Shadow's glare somewhat faltered as Jr's dad didn't seem to react to Shadow's attack, nor did he seem interested in any of Shadow's taunts. Shadow tilted his head a bit in confusion, but before he could act on it, Bowser started to melt away. The hedgehog gritted his teeth as he looked over to Jr in a bit of concern. This was just a dream, Shadow knew that, but it still couldn't be easy for the young prince to see his father melt away after Shadow started attacking him. But with that settled, Shadow decided that it was ample opportunity to run over to Jr and try to help calm him down. "Jr, it's okay!" Shadow tried to explain, unaware of what was about to happen. "This is all just a-"

Before he was able to finish what he was about to say, he'd ran about half way to Jr before being interrupted by another stomping noise. Shadow hopped a bit before landing on the ground and stopping all momentum toward the young Koopa. Shadow stared in confusion before dashing over to Jr and standing in front of him, and as a result Alma as well. Shadow glared at the direction the noise was coming from, and gritted his teeth, ready to fight whatever was on the other side.

What came out was... two more Bowsers? Well, if they were as easy as the first one, then adding another one wouldn't do much to help. Shadow clenched his fist and took a step back getting ready to run at the two giant turtles at full speed, but... something stopped him. Shadow's ears twitched at the voice he heard call out for him and he instantly straightened up. Maria... that was no doubt Maria's voice! The hedgehog shook his head and glared at the monsters.

This was a dream... Only a dream. None of this was real. Shadow glared at the two turtles in front of him and tried to drown out the voice. That voice... it'd been all too real to him lately. And in all the worst ways, too... but... Shadow looked back to see Jr cowering, and looked over to Alma, who couldn't have been doing all that much better. The hedgehog had to shake his feeling of the situation and remember that this was just a dream. The black hedgehog took a step back and once again started running at the turtles.

...However, before Shadow could break the sound barrier to finish his Dash attack, he couldn't help but think about how Maria's voice called for his help. The hedgehog found himself skidding to a halt, squeezing his eyes shut before slowly looking up at the giant turtle monsters, and feeling oddly intimidated by them. Certainly not because of the size, the hedgehog had faced much larger, but... He found himself unable to move all of a sudden. "Ma...Mari..a..." The hedgehog was stuck, he didn't know what to do.

This whole mission about saving a kid from bad dreams was not what he had in mind when he had first arrived to LI but that did not matter much to the masked boy. He did not care about this kid's feelings or the mission at all. What he cared about was feeding on the life force of whatever was causing this. Negative emotions empowered him and what better way to solve a case of nightmares than to absorb this being that was behind them. 

Arriving to the hospital disgusted him in every way. He would hate seeing people being treated for various things and the kind nurses next to each bed. He was halfway tempted to just kill everyone in this damn place. But a mission was a mission and he would stick to it. Not for this child's sake though, but for his own self interest. Kill two birds with one stone. He gets this beings power and completes a mission for a well earned reward. Now that was what he really needed.

Seeing him approach the boy, two of the nurses attempted to stop him, but he had enough of this and shoved them out of the way onto the floor as he walked past. This Prince Dreamburt had already kept the portal to this boy's head open unintentionally and it was easy to just walk on through to see what mess he would end up in this time. 

A dark creature with red markings on it and three turtle like monsters. One of them seemingly the dream version of the child he entered and the two big ones who were his targets. "...." Vanitas said nothing as even his presence alone would be enough to draw the attention of the others here, especially the anomaly that was this nightmare. 

It would likely recognize Vanitas as a threat as he was now here standing in front of the two bowsers as if nothing had scared him in his entire lifetime.

Taking a stance ready for battle Vanitas summoned his Void Gear Keyblade to battle. 
Saying nothing still he would go for an attack toward the bowsers without hesitation or fear.

"Weaklings." he said simply before holding going toward the second bowser again with a different attack. "...." Darkness surrounded Vanitas as he charged right at it and spun int a drill like attack toward it.

The two Bowsers just stared at Shadow, Maria's voice still echoing from them as they shuffled closer. Jr, meanwhile, was pretty much curled up in a ball behind the dark hedgehog, absolutely terrified of the effigy of his father that was getting closer and closer to them with each passing second....

Before the terrifying silence was broken by Vanitas, who burst into the throne room and silently started to do battle with the two Bowsers. As fearless and undaunted as ever, Vanitas' attacks all landed with devistating accuracy......but they didn't seem to do anything. The Bowsers don't even flinch, just continue to stare down Vanitas and Shadow wordlessly.....before crumbling into dust, just like the first one. Were they all taken out that easily? Or were they more fakes? Either way, it didn't seem like Vanitas' attacks were doing much of anything, because the heavy atmosphere that had hung over the room since the two fakes came in was still very much present. Another voice, this time much lower yet just as horse, echoed from down the hallway

"Tryyyy Haaaarder....."

It seemed to be directed toward Vanitas. Almost as if it was taunting him that his attacks did absolutely nothing. But even before those words finished, Maria's voice echoed to them again, overlapping with the the last voice.

"Everyyyyone's fate.....depeeends on...yoooooou"

"Caan't....save......anyone...."

The voices seemed to be echoing from down the hall. Should Shadow or Vanitas dare to approach...whatever this is, then that's the way they should be headed. Jr, meanwhile, had stopped curling in fear behind Shadow and slowly got to his feet. That guy....he just jumped in and attacked those things without fear! That was amazing! As those thoughts crossed Jr's mind, he felt a small spark ignite in his heart. Not much, but it was there. Perhaps with a bit more nurtering, it could grow into something more?

New Mechanic revealed! Attacks will do nothing against this foe, however, Jr's watching you fight and it's helping him work up the courage to take control of this dream! Moves that will normally deal damage will instead fill a Bravery Gauge for Jr by the same amount. Once it's filled to his full health amount (150), then something good will happen!

Shadow struggled finding it within himself to ignore the voice of Maria coming from the giant koopa, even as his logic kept telling him none of this was real, Shadow felt himself shake as he balled up his fists. Why wouldn’t this twisted image of Maria just leave him alone? Maria was a sweet person, his only friend, the most important person to him. But as if the universe just wanted Shadow to have absolutely nothing sacred, his very idea of Maria was becoming distorted.

Why? What did Shadow ever do to deserve to suffer this way?

The giant koopas kept marching forward, and Shadow eventually aimed his gaze to the ground, gritting his teeth as he did so. The hedgehog sealed his eyes shut as his fear started turning into something else…

...Until something seemed to interrupt the tense seen. Or rather, someone.

Shadow opened it up, his red eyes becoming a crazed blue before he blinked it away and shook his head, rubbing the side of his head, squinting his eye shut in confusion. What in the world was that?

But, more importantly, who was this guy? Out of nowhere, this… stranger leaps into the scene and basically demolishes the two Bowsers before they could actually harm him or Jr. Alma, meanwhile, seemed to have… disappeared. Shadow squinted at this, hoping that it didn't have consequences since this was in Jr’s dream, but brushed it out of his mind for the moment. She must’ve just escaped from the dream because it was too frightening for her. In this case, fair enough, he supposed.

Back to the stranger, though, Shadow… squinted at him. This wasn’t the most trustworthy looking guy he’d ever seen, but to be fair neither was Shadow. Still, the hedgehog would bear in mind to keep an eye on this dude in case he had any intention of messing with Jr.

Just when he had a feeling this whole situation was over, another voice spoke up out of the silence, though this one wasn’t familiar to Shadow. Perhaps it was familiar to Vanitas? There didn’t seem to be a physical form attached, but Maria’s voice came back again, causing Shadow to grimace a bit. Shadow’s ears twitched as he looked over at Jr starting to push himself off of his fetal position, seeming to try and be brave through this. Shadow stared at Jr for a few seconds, taking the kid’s actions in.

This wasn’t even Shadow’s dream. This was Jr’s. The kid must’ve been taking the brunt of this nightmare for who knew how long, and yet here he was still trying to be brave. Shadow squinted his eyes and cast his gaze to the ground. How pathetic was he? Shadow heard Maria’s words… “Everyone’s fate depends on you…” These words conflicted with the Maria he’d recently seen, but Shadow glared toward the source of the sound.

Something waited for them if they approached the sound, something that was calling Shadow. He wasn’t certain, but as he looked toward the stranger, he had a feeling it was calling him too. Was it a trap? He wasn’t sure, but what he was sure of was that it was worth risking if it meant getting Jr out faster.

And so the hedgehog started making his way toward the direction the voices were coming from… where Maria’s voice was. He was certain there must’ve been some kind of threat waiting for them, so Shadow tried to be mentally prepared for whatever awaited him. Of course, realistically, this may have been fruitless effort, but he was trying anyway. The hedgehog kept heading down the hall.

As his attacks landed on the strange turtle creatures Vanitas looked a little shocked when he saw he had done nothing at all to them, his attacks did hit that was for sure and eventually the two turtle like beings just crumbled into dust. But was this because of his own attacks or was this something else that was part of the dream? Vanitas shook off these thoughts as he shouldn't have to care if his attacks did anything or not, what mattered was completing the mission and that staked on this turtle kid's condition which he had noticed from the corner of his eye that the kid was starting to get up to stand his ground.

Before he could get a word in toward the weakling of a kid that this Jr was he had heard a familiar voice call out to him. "What? Master I..." he then heard what it had said to him. Something that completely contradicted his Master's way of speaking and intentions. "...You are not him." Vanitas could already tell that this would be Master Xehanort was trying to scare him with it's words. Something of which might have worked if they said anything other than to try harder. Instead of scaring him though it riled him up to the point of searching out this voice who imitated his master.

Walking toward the source without fear was Vanitas and Shadow seemed to be following as well. Whoever this thing was that was following him Vanitas did not care, they were both being called toward the voice. Vanitas looked back toward the kid, underneath his mask he was completely disgusted with the boy but a mission was a mission. He had to make this kid face the facts that this was all fake.

"Get up kid, you need to face this head on. Prove how strong you really are!" It was unlike Vanitas to give anyone advice or encouragement but he was sucking up his pride to get this mission done. What he wanted was to get that money and his prize of whatever was feeding off of this boy's dreams.

Besides if he played the hero enough the others may be fooled just enough to trust him. Smirking under his mask he decided to go with that. What a devious plan he had come up with, perfect for fooling these pathetic weaklings!

The phrases kept repeating, over and over again, getting louder as Shadow and Vanitas got closer to the doorway. Jr followed behind them, still scared out of his mind, but at least he wasn't curled up on the ground still

"Weak....Useless"

"For a....betterrrr....future......"

Phrases in both Xehenort's and Maria's voices continued to echo out as the two of them got closer and closer. Streams of dark energy started to flow around the door as they approached, the sense of dread that permeated every corner of the room growing worse and worse as they drew near. Finally, they were up to the door blocking the way. If either of them dared to open it, they'd find...

Nothing

The hallway beyond the door was empty. Not only that, the voices completely disappeared as soon as the door was opened. Jr looked out from behind Shadow and Vanitas, looking around the empty hall in confusion. "W-what? Where did...what happened?" he asked, trying to see where the voices and the dark energy had come from. But he couldn't see anything. It was like they had just disappeared without a trace. Guess that was all just Jr's imagination getting away from him?

All of a sudden, a large thin, extremely fast figure launched itself out of the shadows and directly at Shadow!

Shadow! Something's attacking you from the, well, shadows! Roll 15 WIS or higher or get caught off guard and take 18% DMG

As the figure tore it's claws at Shadow, regardless of whether Shadow was quick enough to evade it, it landed in a heap of wooden limbs and cloth, and grotesque, fleshy noises tore their way into Shadow and Vanitas's ears. This...this thing...All the dread and despair that everyone felt throughout this dream was centered on the figure in front of them. Terror raced through Jr's mind once again as he lay his eyes on the scarecrow-like figure in front of him. This was it, wasn't it? This what was causing him such grief and pain. Jr'd be angry if he wasn't absolutely petrified! Once the scarecrow was fully on its feet, it swung what looked like a gigantic scythe toward Vanitas. The hit didn't look very powerful, but getting hit with it still didn't sound like a very good idea.

Vanitas! This new presence is targeting you now! It's moving kinda slow though, so roll 12 DEX or higher in order to avoid the scythe, or take 9 DMG, inflicted with Slow, and a 50% chance of being inflicted with Fear

The black hedgehog slowly made his way forward, making sure to not get too far away from Jr, glancing over at Vanitas, trying to get a read on what he thought. Not really... getting much, Shadow glanced back at Jr, and the kids fear steeled his own courage quite a bit. He needed to try and stay strong for him, regardless on whether Maria was here or not. Shadow slowly nudged the door open and... suddenly silence. This... this wasn't what he was expecting, but a wave of dread flooded over him. His instincts continued to pull him forward, against his own fear, and regardless of the danger, urged him toward trying to solve the problem.

Shadow moved forward into the eye of the storm, and was met with darkness. The Koopa Prince voiced what may have been everyone's confusion if Vanitas was an easier book to read. The hedgehog kept his guard up, and made sure to try and stay in front of Jr. The hedgehog's eyes were sharp as they dashed around... there was a presence here. Something was here... Shadow just couldn't see it. However, when the creature made its presence known in a split second. The creature moved so fast, Shadow's reflexes were just fast enough to barely avoid the creature, just a hair away from being attacked. The hedgehog did get a good look at the... horrifying creature, however, and it was quite grotesque looking.

The sound of the creature crushing something made it quite clear just how dangerous this creature really was. With all this in mind, Shadow gulped a little and glared directly at the creature. This creature seemed fast, but as Shadow just seemed to demonstrate, it wasn't faster than he was. The hedgehog would ensure a swift victory against this creature. Shadow started shaking from a mixture of anticipation, anger, and... perhaps a bit of fear.

"Get out of Jr's head, you monster!" Shadow shouted before dashing forward at full speed, intending to ram into the creature as hard as he could.

Shadow then turned around and allowed a lightning bolt to form in his hands before launch it at his foe. "Chaos... Spear!"

Shadow then proceeded to roll up into a ball and dash at the creature at full speed, intending to knock the creature down with his own blitzing speed. The hedgehog seemed to be quite steady with all of his attacks, minus the first Spin Dash, and seemed to be quite determined to save his friend from this demon like creature.

"I suggest you leave while you can with your life!" Shadow shouted as he prepared himself for whatever came next.

Vanitas had been caught off guard when it came to those voices, something of which would not happen too often for him in his current state of being. This thing the very essence of negativity had tried to sneak up on him, not like it could because Vanitas feeds on negative emotions so he could read right away when this creature tried to attack him with the scythe. He would block the attack just in case though even if the attack did not look very strong, best be careful anyway.

Vanitas had a feeling if he did try to dodge it instead of shielding he'd likely get hit. Though now it was time for him to go on the offensive. First he'd go for a few swipes at this thing with his Void Gear Keyblade.

Vanitas took a proud stance as the Trinity Armor hovered over him. "You can't get away that easily." Vanitas taunted the creature. "You shouldn't have to worry about my Unversed, It's on our side." Vanitas said to Junior. He didn't care for the boy but he did need to complete this mission. Re-assuring the boy that his Trinity Armor was his would probably make this mission easier.

Attack after attack after attack whaled on the scarecrow beast as a good number of both Shadow and Vanitas's attacks made connection with it. However, the scarecrow's body simply dissolved into mist around the attack, as if the two anti-heroes were trying to hit smoke in the breeze. The scarecrow didn't even look like it'd had been effected! Even so, Jr was taken aback by the sheer boldness of the two others. They were ready to tear this things head off! The Koopa kid felt a spark of inspiration from just watching the two of them try so hard to defeat this thing! Maybe he should try too!

However, when the Trinity Armor built itself from the ground, Jr let out a gulp. That thing looked intimidating! "I-If you're sure..." Jr replied to Vanitas, keeping an eye on the suit of armor as it got what would have been a good hit on the scarecrow creature. He felt a bit more at ease, knowing that this thing was on his side...

However, as soon as the Trinity Armor appeared, the creaking, shuffling creature looked up violently, and when the armor attacked it, it didn't even flinch. It just...let it happen. But something was wrong. Instead of breaking like mist, as it did with Shadow and Vanitas's attacks, the Trinity Armor's fist stays in place, unable to be pulled back from the creature. As if that thing had caught it mid-punch and wouldn't let go. As it creaked it's head around the room, Vanitas would feel a paralyzing glare as its gaze rested on him. It's mouth opened slowly, and a single word croaked out of it, in a horrible, hoarse, scratchy voice that sounded like anything any of them had ever heard before. Like nails on a chalkboard in sound form.

"....Foo..ool..."

With that one word, the scarecrow...dissolves into black smoke, the same kind that had been flooding the hallway a little while ago. This smoke, however, did not dissipate. Instead, it traveled up the arm of the Trinity Armor, and surrounded all three pieces, engulfing it in darkness.

With a new, sinister light shining from its helmet, the Trinity Armor turned toward Shadow, Vanitas, and Jr...and began to launch a barrage of attacks, calling forth fireballs, lasers, and throwing punches toward all three of them!

SHADOW! The Corrupted Trinity Armor is launching fireballs at you! Make a DEX check of 16 or higher to avoid the initial hit, or take 15% Damage!. If any of your attacks this turn roll 12 or lower, you'll collide with the remaining embers and take 10% per hit, as well as getting burned!

VANITAS! This is what happens when you summon Fear-based summons inside a nightmare. The Corrupted Trinity Armor is calling a bolt from on high to smite you! Roll 14 in WIS to avoid the Aerial Laser or suffer 25% DMG!

BOWSER JR! The Corrupted Trinity Armor is forgoing the magic in your case and just aiming to deck you! Roll a 13 twice to avoid both punches, or take 14% apiece!

"H-huh?!? I thought you said this this was on your si-OOF!" Jr complained, before the Corrupted Trinity Armor socked him in the stomach. The momentum of taking that punch luckily boosted him away from the second, but Jr still fell hard on the ground behind him. Slowly getting to his feet, he started shaking in fear again. What had just happened? Vanitas had just told him that that thing was on their side! Why was it attacking them now?! What did that..thing do to it?

The black hedgehog growled in frustration as it seemed the monster just... vanished in mist far too quickly for even his attacks to keep up with. And they'd been pretty strong, too. The black hedgehog looked back over at Jr, seeing the Koopa Prince finally starting to regaining himself quite a bit. Good. Now maybe if Jr got to fight back against this monster, they could get him out of there. He wasn't exactly Vanitas's biggest fan, but at least he got Jr to come to his senses, even if just a bit...

...So how badly would the strength obsessed maniac screw up? Apparently very.

Though, to be fair, no one could've seen this shift coming, so Shadow chose not to berate the guy for an honest mistake. It was the monster Shadow was aiming all his ire against at this very moment, growling intensely at the armor it just... somehow took control of. "If you think a bunch of dancing pieces of metal are gonna scare us, then you've got another thing coming!" The black hedgehog rocketed forward as the Trinity Armor sent fire balls heading in his direction. With enough speed built up, the hedgehog launched himself into the air, flipping forward one time in the air, before gracefully landing on the ground before skating forward some more.

The hedgehog aimed primarily at what Shadow would think was the most essential part to any fighter: the legs. If one couldn't stand, they couldn't run, and... well, Shadow knew first hand just how useful running could be. The hedgehog spun at such a high speed, he was a blur practically when his first attack hit the legs of the armor, simultaneously avoiding embers that came his way. He was, unfortunately, not as lucky with his next two attempts, or avoiding of the embers. The hedgehog missed the next two swerves, and it resulted in him getting a bit of a burn, causing the hedgehog to grunt in quite a bit of pain.

The hedgehog seethed in pain, hissing as he tried to resist the urge to yell out in pain before leering at the armor again. The burn was pretty bad, and it wasn't going to go away too quickly either. The hedgehog would just have to put up with it until it went away on its own.

The black hedgehog recovered from his initial shock before forming a dark, purple energy around himself and growled as he dashed right for the legs of the armor again. The hedgehog held his hand out to unleash the powerful move. "Chaos... Nightmare!" The hedgehog shouted before enveloping the legs with a vortex of purple chaos energy.

The hedgehog leaped back before wincing in pain as purple energy ran up his entire body. The hedgehog sealed one of his eyes shut as he panted, but he refused to let anything get him down. Not now, not when things were so dire. The hedgehog looked over at Jr, and he was cowering again. The hedgehog was getting ready to curse under his breath but he shook his head. No, he couldn't lose it now. That thing could bring up Maria at any moment, and if he lost himself to such trivial issues as these, the hedgehog would be doomed and so would Jr and Vanitas. The Ultimate Life Form needed to bring this thing down, and dwelling on his injuries wasn't going to help him accomplish that.

"That that best you got, beast? I've seen Cream's Chao fight a lot better alone than you have!" That... was a total bluff, and the hedgehog could definitely feel the intensity of the situation, but hopefully talking big would convince himself not to be bothered by it.

Everything seemed like it would go fine when he summoned his Unversed. They were made from his emotions and his will, so they had to obey his every order. Then why did it attack them? This did not make sense. "What the?! My Unversed! What did you do to it?!" he demanded an answer from this nightmarish creature. If there was no response then Vanitas would just simply end the summon and pull his Unversed back into his body, because the Unversed are made from him but for some reason it wouldn't work.

"You are to obey me! I made you from my own existence!" he shouted at the Trinity Armor to no avail. That's when it started to attack him and the others. No! This was supposed to be easier now that he summoned an Unversed not harder! This meant that if this Nightmare could take control of his Unversed that meant he was locked from using this move again until he left. 

As the bolt of lightning aimed to destroy its former master Vanitas would move to avoid it.

Now it was time for him to retaliate, as much as he didn't want to fight his own unversed as doing so seemed just pathetic, he had to and would need to punish it for its insubordination. 

Starting off with a combo from his Void Gear Keyblade toward the Corrupted Gamma Armor aka the legs of the Trinity Armor he had created, he would attack them with three singular strikes from it.

Focusing on the legs for now Vanitas would then use a Void Gear Medium attack on it.

Next he would unleash a Dark Splicer attack again on the legs hoping to tear it asunder. 

WIS roll for Dark Splicer Attack: 28% damage if it hits and Vanitas's next dodge Roll is reduced by -2.

Vanitas follows up the Dark Splicer with a Dark Spiral attack toward the legs.

Then after all that Vanitas would stop attacking as he felt the rage almost consume him from how he had one of his unversed turn on him. This was almost as infuriating as the time Roll-Roll had her own unversed and the X-Blade, almost that is. Having his own Unversed that he just summoned made him very upset. 

"This is what happens to those that disobey me. Be glad I don't keep attacking as of now. You'll wish that I did stop after too long." Vanitas was seething that was for sure.
